Childhood and youth
Dmitrieva began studying acting since childhood, and even then she decided on her choice of profession. But first, the mother (a ballerina in the past) began to introduce her daughter to choreography, but the girl turned out to be not flexible and graceful enough for this. Due to a severe metabolic disorder, she developed furunculosis, and had to forget about dancing.
After the studio at the House of Pioneers, Zhenya entered the legendary Moscow Art Theater, but made a choice in favor of the Shchepkinsky School. There she found a caring mentor, Rimma Gavrilovna Solntseva. When the training period came to an end, the young actress was in great demand and received a lot of offers for cooperation. With the light hand of a sensitive teacher, she agreed to become a member of the Maly Theater troupe, where the girl had great prospects for career growth.
The debut production was “Independent Work”, but after it there were no offers for new roles. Dmitrieva almost despaired, but very opportunely she was offered to become a teacher at her native school, and this saved her from the incipient depression. The actress worked there for 17 long years, during which she managed to stage performances:
- “Wonderful Night” (N.V. Gogol).
- “Mowgli. Version" (R. Kipling).
- “Zoyka’s Apartment” and “Black Snow” (M. Bulgakov).
The path to popularity
Her career began to build in 1998, with the selection for the production of “Woe from Wit” by Oleg Menshikov. The actress was chosen for the leading role and appeared on the stage of the Moscow City Council. Critics received it well, and collaboration with the director continued.
This was followed by a series of vivid images, but the most significant (in the theatrical field) was the image of Olga from Three Sisters. The production was conducted under the direction of Declan Donnellan from Great Britain and became fateful for Evgenia Dmitrieva. The troupe went on tour to the best theaters in Europe, Australia, America and New Zealand.
First success
The actress began working in cinema in 1999 , when she played a small role in the comedy “Chinese Service”. Oleg Yankovsky, Sergei Bezrukov and Anna Samokhina took part in that film.
Going to castings brought her to the set of the legendary film “Brother-2”.
Then there was the main role in the melodrama “Zaza”, which became key in the career of a film actress. Her heroine, a self-sufficient woman, Azalia Viktorovna, by the will of fate, falls in love with a 17-year-old boy, and he reciprocates her feelings.
The role of the lover was played by Artem Grigoriev (“Soldiers”), but it was Evgenia Dmitrieva who received the “Gold Star” at the “Constellation” film festival and the Alexander Abdulov award for the best performance of a female dramatic role. Since then, she has been actively acting in films and TV series, as there are many offers.
Present and creative plans for the future
Since 2013, Evgenia Olegovna has been working with the Moscow Art Theater School-Studio , together with Evgeny Pisarev. And today Evgenia Dmitrieva is a young mother, and youth and motherhood do not interfere with her active work. Even while pregnant in 2020, she spent a lot of time filming the film “The Golden Horde,” where she played Matryona.
Then came the films:
- "Staying Alive."
- “Five minutes of silence. Return".
Recently she played several episodic roles in the films “Idealist”, “Senaphone” and “Elephant”, but Dmitrieva’s main employment is “Sklifosovsky”, where the actress plays the role of Olga Kulikova.
Childhood and youth
Since childhood, her mother taught the girl to dance well, but Zhenya did not follow in her mother’s footsteps due to her tendency to be overweight due to metabolic problems. From an early age, the girl was taught that she must do everything as she is told. This habit remained with her throughout her life.
As a teenager, the girl became interested in theater and began studying at a theater studio in the Kozhukhov House of Creativity, whose director was Skudar Zinaida Petrovna.
Having noticed the talented girl and appreciating her inner potential, the teacher tried to help her in everything and predicted an acting future. Zhenya, in turn, treated her like a second mother and with great desire learned the skill of acting. The girl's cherished desire was to become an actress.
After graduating from school, Evgenia enters two theater universities at once: the Moscow Art Theater and the Shchepkinsky Higher School. During the entrance exams, she danced a Spanish dance (despite her weight) and read a children's poem.
At that time, she was suffering from furunculosis and was all wrapped in bandages. The girl, who confidently completed all the tasks, was accepted into both universities as a comedy actress. But Evgenia chose the Shchukin School.
She studied in the workshop of the Honored Artist Nikolai Alekseevich Vereshchenko . Also, Rimma Solntseva became her mentor at the university, with whom the student became very friendly. In 1994, Evgenia graduated from a theater university and became a professional actress.
Personal life
During her student years, a whirlwind romance began between Evgenia and her classmate Andrei Kaykov (actor from “6-Kadrov”). For his sake, the girl lost 17 kg and turned into a slender beauty. The wedding took place in Bryansk, surrounded by family and friends. The young family settled with the bride’s grandmother, but both were too busy with their acting careers and practically did not see each other, because Kaikov worked in another theater.
Two years later, the family broke up, and nothing was known about the actress’s further personal life. Evgenia Dmitrieva had to seek the attention of her first husband Andrei Kaykov for a long time, because he was not deprived of female attention from his youth.
In 2011, Evgenia Olegovna gave birth to a son, Mark , and Dmitrieva was actively working during most of her pregnancy. In 2017, she finally admitted that she married her former student Vladimir Kimmelman. Her husband is 18 years younger than her, but they are too happy to attach importance to this.
The guy came from Omsk and studied at the same Shchepkinsky school where Evgenia worked for a long time. For some time she avoided the topic of her own personal life, but only so as not to affect his career in any way.
