Victoria Tarasova: “I wouldn’t change anything in my life, but I wouldn’t wish the same life on anyone”

Biography

Victoria Tarasova grew up in the Smolensk region in the family of a choreographer and director.

“I was brought up in a creative family. My dad was a pop artist - he danced step, and after finishing his career, he taught folk dancing at the Palace of Pioneers in Smolensk. My mother is a director. I inherited the ability to dance from my dad; from the age of five I enjoyed tap dancing and performing dances of the peoples of the world.

I have an older sister, Marina Kudelinskaya, we have an age difference of 7 years, she is also an actress. As a child, I was afraid of Marinka, she was jealous of my mother, pinched me on the sly, took away my toys and threatened: “If you complain to your parents, you’ll get it.” If I naively trusted her with a secret, my mother knew it within five minutes. Marina’s character is still the same, but we love each other,” says Tarasova. After graduating from school, Vika and her family moved to Moscow, choosing the path of an artist. She entered the acting department of RATI-GITIS, studied in the workshop of Pavel Osipovich Chomsky, and graduated in 1994. At the same university she also received her second education – ballet Shchepka.” There, without going through the rounds, I was allowed straight into the competition, and then I came to the institute, submitted my documents, and so, from September 1, 1990, I became a student at the M.S. Higher Theater School. Shchepkina. In 1993, I moved from Shchepka (I didn’t have a good relationship with the French teacher) to the third year of the RATI in the workshop of Pavel Chomsky. In 1994, I graduated from university with a degree in Drama Theater and Film Actor,” the actress recalls.

Childhood

The small homeland of Victoria Yuryevna Tarasova is the small ancient city of Skopin in the Ryazan region, according to one version, it received its name from the old Russian name for birds of prey. Here Victoria was born on July 16, 1971, but she spent her childhood and teenage years in Smolensk, where her father received a position as a dance teacher at the Palace of Pioneers.

Vika’s father, Yuri Tarasov, was a pop dancer in his youth, later he was a choreographer for a military ensemble, and the mother of the future actress, Nadezhda Kudelinskaya, also belonged to the creative intelligentsia; she is a theater director by profession.

Victoria grew up with her sister Marina, who is seven years older than her. In an interview, the star of the series says that she inherited from her father a love and ability to dance and was already tap dancing at the age of five.

After graduating from school in 1988, Victoria, unexpectedly for her family, decided not to connect her life with dancing, as she had previously planned, but to enter GITIS. Alas, during the entrance examinations the girl could not withstand the nervous tension: while reading a monologue, she burst into tears right in front of the members of the examination committee and, of course, failed the exam. Not accustomed to retreat, she went to the Cherkasov Leningrad Institute, but failed there too.

Returning to Smolensk, Vika Tarasova taught the art of dance for a year at the Palace of Pioneers, where her father worked, and in 1990 she entered the famous “Shchepka”.

Victoria has always been distinguished by her integrity, which was the reason for her conflict with her French teacher. The young actress’s mentor while studying at the Academy was Pavel Osipovich Chomsky.

Victoria Tarasova was born in the small town of Skopin, located in the Ryazan region. The parents of the Russian movie star are creative people. Tarasov Yuri Egorovich, Victoria's father, was a choreographer. Kudelinskaya Nadezhda Petrovna, the mother of the future actress, is a director. Victoria has an older sister, who also became a Russian actress. Her name is Marina Kudelinskaya.

Victoria Tarasova

Almost immediately after the birth of their youngest daughter, the family moved from Skopin to Smolensk. There, Victoria not only graduated from secondary school, but also studied at a choreographic school. From the age of 5 she appeared on stage performing dance routines; the little dancer looked especially impressive performing tap dancing. For a long time, the girl planned to connect her life with dancing, but when she received her matriculation certificate, she moved to Moscow with her family. In the capital, Victoria submitted documents to the RATI for the acting department, where she studied in the workshop of Pavel Osipovich Chomsky. At GITIS, Tarasova received a second education, studying to become a choreographer.

After graduating from university, Victoria did not go to the theater, but got a job as a TV presenter on the RTR channel, where for 2 years she was the host of the program about summer residents “Six Sotok”, which was hosted by Marina Kudelinskaya before her.

Actress Victoria Tarasova

In 1997, the actress finally got a job in her specialty when she joined the troupe of the Jewish theater “Shalom”, where she still works. She has many roles in the plays “The Righteous and the Sinners”, “Half of New York Is Now My Family”, “Shlimazel”, “Stuffed Fish”, “What Did You Find in Her?”, “Wandering Stars”, “My Kosher lady" and many others. Tarasova also collaborated with other theaters: the artist participated in the production of “A Recipe for Family Happiness” based on the works of Chekhov, who staged “Theater Marathon”, and also played in the plays “Adventurous Family, or How to Steal a Million”, “A Streetcar Named Desire” and “ It's in the bag" at the Millennium Theatre.

Since 2020, the 360 TV channel began broadcasting the socio-economic reality show “Made in Russia,” and Victoria Tarasova became the host of this program.

Cinema

Victoria made her film debut in 1994, starring in the children's adventure film “The Lynx is on the Trail” directed by Agasi Babayan. She got a small role as a poacher's wife. This was followed by a long break and only in the early 2000s the actress returned to the screens. At first, these were small roles in films such as “My Dear Hedgehog”, “I Want to Go to the Sea”, “Kulagin and Partners”, “Demon in the Rib, or the Magnificent Four”, “Silent Witness”, “Spartakiad. Local warming”, “Matchmaker”, “Trace” and others. She came to wide fame in 2008, when she played in the multi-part crime film about the everyday life of the police “Capercaillie”. In the series, Victoria reincarnated as Major Irina Sergeevna Zimina (later - lieutenant colonel).

She recalls: “I doubted whether to agree to play a cop. But when I read the script and found out that my heroine is 37 years old, raising her son herself, the groom is younger than her, I was surprised how everything coincided with her, and agreed.”

The success of the first season of the project prompted the directors of the film to create a sequel: “Capercaillie. Come, New Year!”, “Glukhar-2”, “Glukhar-3”, “Glukhar in the cinema”. The series radically changed the actress’s life: she had to work at a frantic pace, combining work in the theater with constant filming. “Sometimes I gave up from fatigue,” says Victoria. “But believe me, it’s much better than doing nothing.” Anyone who says that they are tired of fame is simply lying. You need to appreciate the moment when you are at the peak of your career.” After this, the detective series “Department”, the crime series “Pyatnitsky” and the film “Karpov” were released, in which the main characters from “Capercaillie” were featured. For these works, Tarasova received numerous awards from the Ministry of Internal Affairs. It is also worth noting Victoria’s roles in the sketch comedy “Caution: Children!” and “Students”, drama “City of Temptations”, detective story “Lawyers”.

"Against All Odds"

The actress received an invitation from director Vadim Arapov to the melodrama “Against All Odds.” Her heroine is Irina Alekseevna Tikhonova, Boris’s wife. The film premiered on the Rossiya 1 TV channel. Plot: A famous Moscow businessman, Boris Ivanovich Tikhonov, is in grief: his wife is dying of cancer. Before her death, she admits that 18 years ago, during her husband’s business trip abroad, she became pregnant, as she assumed, from another man and, fearing publicity, left her daughter in the maternity hospital, but continued to monitor her fate.

Natasha, considered an orphan, grew up in a provincial orphanage. After graduating from school, she sets off to conquer the stage of the capital's theater school, while Tikhonov begins his search for a girl. Victoria's partners on the set were: Maria Baeva, Andrei Senkin, Alexander Tyutin, Ivan Nikolaev, Svyatoslav Astramovich. The artist’s next successful works were “Petrovich”, “Mother in Law”, “One Against All”, “Policeman from Rublyovka”, “Cable”.

Biography of Victoria Tarasova

Victoria Tarasova is the star of the series “Capercaillie”, “Karpov” and “Pyatnitsky”, who embodied on the screen the image of a strong and independent woman, a single mother who is no stranger to coping with life’s difficulties alone. Like her heroine Irina Zimina from “Capercaillie,” Victoria had to endure many trials, which she overcame with dignity, while managing not to betray her loved ones and remaining herself.

TV presenter

From 1995 to 1996, Victoria worked on television, hosting the program “Six Sotok”. At the same time, she also starred in commercials. “This is a very funny story. This program was hosted by my sister, Marina Kudelinskaya. She came to our dacha. I wanted to photograph my parents, neighbors and Smolensk landscapes, familiar to us from childhood, for the story. But her partner got sick and couldn’t come, and I came for the weekend. The film crew and my sister began to persuade me to play a village girl. My city sister came to see me, and I showed her my smallholding. I was terribly angry, I didn’t want to play some kind of collective farm, but I still agreed. She dressed in simple clothes, made two ponytails on her head, and spent the entire program being mischievous. She spoke through clenched teeth and the entire text was not according to the script. It would seem that the program should not be allowed to air at all, but fate decreed otherwise. Suddenly the editor-in-chief liked me. By this time, Marina had found a job on the radio, and they called me to take her place,” says the artist. Since 2015, she has become the host of the socio-economic reality show “Made in Russia” on one of the Russian TV channels. “Sometimes I agree to interesting projects. I hosted the “Made in Russia” program on Channel 360 and “Beauty in Russian” on NTV. They are quite dramatic and give freedom to the presenter. I wanted more soulfulness, so that I didn’t have a script, but dialogue. And then, when a conversation happens, you just need to remain human and try to talk as equals so that the person opens his soul. For example, in “Beauty in Russian” we talked about plastic surgery and the tragedies associated with it. Of course, it was hard, because I let everything go through myself. Then she lay on her head with a towel. I can't just come. You still put your soul into it. It’s more difficult in cinema and theater, but on television there is real life and real destinies,” admits Tarasova.

Personal life

The actress is divorced and has an adult son. In the mid-90s, Victoria Tarasova married businessman Mikhail Gumen. For some time the couple had a quiet life, but when Victoria became pregnant, their relationship deteriorated. Soon the young people dispersed. In 1998, the artist gave birth to a son, Danila, but never returned to her husband, who even refused to meet her from the hospital. “I almost died,” recalls Tarasova, “I loved my husband and until the last I believed that he would call me at the maternity hospital. But he never came, my mom and dad took me and the baby...” Difficult times have come in the life of a young mother. She lived in a communal apartment with her parents and son. The husband was not going to help with money, and he didn’t need Danya. Six months later, Victoria returned to the theater. Grandma was sitting with her grandson, and Vika and dad were working. When Victoria was 33 years old, her family suffered a new grief - her father unexpectedly died. Danya was just getting ready for first grade, and his grandfather specifically got a job at school as a choreographer in order to be closer to his grandson. “My wall went away, I didn’t know how to live further...” admits Tarasova in Boris Korchevnikov’s studio. The actress has no time for her own personal life. Today she has fame, success, and an already adult son, whom she raised alone. But every day she prays to God to send her at least a little female happiness. Victoria Tarasova spoke about the details of her personal life in the program “The Fate of a Man with Boris Korchevnikov” on the Rossiya 1 TV channel.

Personal life of Victoria Tarasova

Victoria's first lover was a young man named Slava, about whom we only know that he was seven years older than the actress.
Tarasova's first marriage did not last long. Victoria left her husband after finding him in bed with his friend Julia. The actress’s second marriage also cannot be called successful. After graduating from the academy, Tarasova lived in a civil marriage with a Moscow businessman, the owner of a large enterprise, Mikhail Gumen, from whom she gave birth to a son, Danila, in 1998.

Victoria Tarasova and Mikhail Gumen

During pregnancy, Victoria and Mikhail decided to get married, but the matter did not reach the registry office. During the next quarrel, Mikhail uttered words that the actress could not forgive him: “Fuck you with your child!” This happened literally on the eve of giving birth. The boy's birth was difficult, and Mikhail did not even visit his child's mother in the hospital. This was the end of their relationship. At discharge, Victoria was met by her parents. They quit their jobs in Smolensk and moved to Moscow to be closer to their daughter and newborn grandson.

Victoria Tarasova and Danila Gumen

Victoria did not interfere with Danila’s communication with his father and his younger half-sister Daria (born 2003), a professional snowboarder who passed away in 2020 due to illness.

Victoria Tarasova's son is already an adult

Victoria lives with her son in Kuntsevo; she is very proud of the beautiful four-room apartment that she was able to earn for herself. The actress is very grateful to her parents and cousin, who always supported her.

Actress Marina Kudelinskaya is Victoria Tarasova’s cousin

Victoria's older cousin is also an actress - Marina Kudelinskaya, star of the TV series "Interns" and "Cursed Paradise", one of the leading actresses of the Satyricon Theater.

Charity

Victoria Yuryevna has been involved in charity work for many years, helping children and their families who find themselves in difficult life situations. She is the head of the “Help the Children of Smolensk Region” Foundation.

“Before I became who I am, I had to go through a lot of difficulties. Then, the more I earned, the more I wanted to help others. It all started with a pregnant girl I met during filming. She was left alone, we had to help her survive. That’s when I made my first call and began to take advantage of my fame. A girl was born, she was named Vika in my honor. Now the boy Artem is still growing there, everything is fine. This family is like my own. I am the godmother of both children. Then another family appeared, and another. And then local authorities asked to take the Smolensk region under guardianship. Although, I myself don’t see the point in legal registration. No paperwork needed for help.

We help everyone who comes to us. We have no money in the fund. I'm not the person who can knock them out. However, I can call out that I need school supplies or things, and I am inundated with packages. Every person has things in their wardrobe that will be useful in the village. There is a lot of help coming! We dress the population of the villages with practically new clothes. Both my fans and my friends help.” The actress often gives charity concerts in support of the Russian military: she was in the Arctic zone, in the North Caucasus, at military bases in Kyrgyzstan and Armenia, and flew to the Russian air base of Khmeimim (Syria).

Interview

About your favorite roles

“I am proud of the role of Zimina, that she glorified me and created a certain reputation. I'm already choosing my next roles. I won’t play a woman of easy virtue anymore. There is a certain responsibility to the image. Now people often turn to me for help. For the role I had to interact a lot with law enforcement agencies, and there are people with whom I am on good terms. Sometimes I arrange consultations, sometimes I speed up the process of completing the letter, but I try not to abuse it. Yes, and the requests must be adequate, I don’t excuse anyone for drugs.

I really love dramatic roles. Another favorite is “Mother in Law”. It has four episodes and was recently shown on TV again. We took it off in a month, then I couldn’t get up for three months. A difficult role. The filming coincided with my son’s adolescence, and he didn’t have to play anything. There is so much pain that when I watch it, I get goosebumps from myself.”

About work

“Acting in films and theater is what I can do best. I don't argue that money rules the world. Even without money, I am not in the mood, because there are many mouths that I have to feed. Without money I can neither feed nor help. When I don’t have enough money, I still start somehow, like an electric broom, to earn it. I don’t sit and wait for someone to bring them to me on a tray, although sometimes I really want to. And I’m not afraid that one day they will stop filming me or inviting me to the theater. I won't be left idle. I'll go teach dancing, maybe take some kind of club. It will not escape me that at first I was famous, and then I became unknown. But it is important for me to realize that I am useful, so I will probably always help people.

About patriotism

“Homeland starts with family. If there are strong families, the country will prosper, and any difficulties will disappear by themselves. I really want men to have responsibility for the family, as it was in Soviet times. Lately men have degenerated into mice. I have no money - that’s all, I don’t have a job - that’s all. What kind of future is there if women carry everything on themselves? Men don’t even understand that first of all they are ruining their own lives! Don't do anything - nothing will happen. Fate won't allow it. And if she sees that you are digging the earth, then she will reward you. This is the law of nature."

About hobby

“I used to have a studio at the Shalom Theater. The costumes for “My Kosher Lady” were made there. I came up with ideas and ordered them from seamstresses. I probably got it all from my mother. In Soviet times there was nothing to wear, and so she knitted and invented everything. She has lost some of her design skills. She chose directing, but at the same time she is always creating something, transforming the surrounding reality. Now together with her, when there is nothing to do, we sit and draw. She also sewed for us and also invented things. And I was the most fashionable at school and at college. I remember then she made me a coat with houndstooths from my grandmother’s coat. And now such clothes are exclusive. There is no time for everything; someone needs to manage it. If it’s an atelier, then you have to do it, but you don’t have the strength to do everything alone.”

Victoria Tarasova is going to become a mother again

The new lover gave the actress a convertible

The adventures of Colonel Irina Zimina and her subordinates in the series “Pyatnitsky. Chapter Two” gathers millions of fans in front of the screens. The leading actress, Victoria TARASOVA, told Express Gazeta about what's new in her life.

Victoria recently bought a spacious apartment. She has not yet had time to move from a two-room Khrushchev apartment to a new 200-meter nest. “I’m still preparing for repairs,” Tarasova shared. - This is a very troublesome matter. However, acquiring real estate took a lot of time. Friends found a good option. Then I waited two years for the house to be built. Now I'm going to hire a designer to help with the interior. Our son is already an adult, he will turn 15 in January, several years will pass and he will bring his wife to our house and they will give birth to children. We need to prepare ahead of time. The actress admitted that she herself dreams of becoming a mother again: “I really want to have a baby.” And if I can’t give birth myself, then maybe I’ll adopt a girl. I travel a lot to orphanages - I speak to the children - and I see how many wonderful children there are.

Women blow their minds

In the meantime, Victoria is raising her teenage son to be a real man. — Danila is going through a difficult transitional age now, so I’m trying to build friendly relations with him, and not just put pressure on him, like why didn’t he wash the dishes or take out the trash. I understand that it’s hard to study at school, but he’s coping so far. She consults with me on everything, even how to build relationships with girls. Recently he said: “Mom, all women are fools, they blow my mind!” But I’m in no hurry to stand up for him, but consider the situation from all positions. According to Victoria, Danila more than once suffered from the fact that his mother became famous: “He used to go to another school, but when they started showing the series “Capercaillie” on TV, the teachers suddenly became angry with my child. Almost every week they called me on the carpet under various pretexts. For example, they complained that he was fighting. We start to figure it out, it turns out that the other boy spat in his face, and mine just fought back. I remember one day I came to school, and suddenly one student recognized me. He immediately called his friends, who told their friends. As a result, almost 200 people came to me for autographs. I understood that I could not refuse them, and patiently signed. But, out of nowhere, the headmistress appeared and said that I had disrupted the lesson.

Vika never parts with her favorite newspaper

She loudly asked the guard: “Get this one out of school already!” Horror! I jumped out and realized that I would never come there again. Now Danya is studying in another place, and everything is great there. Of course, sometimes I feel that my son suffers from a lack of male attention. For example, when one of my friends picks me up, he is not at all jealous; on the contrary, he enjoys communicating with them. Alas, my dad, who replaced Dana’s father, died eight years ago. After the New Year, Danya will go to the USA for three weeks, to a language school, and will celebrate her birthday there. In addition to English, he knows mathematics well, but has not yet developed his acting talents, although he recently began singing and dancing. He even played an episode with me in Pyatnitsky. Earned my first three thousand rubles.

Heroes of our time - Karpov (Vlad KOTLYARSKY) and Zimina (Victoria TARASOVA)

Wealthy chosen one

Some time ago, a new love appeared in Victoria's life. But the actress doesn’t want to name her chosen one or talk about him in detail, she’s afraid of jinxing it. “My man gave me a convertible for my 40th birthday,” Tarasova revealed the secret. — I love big cars, I plan to drive my car around Europe. They believe that if your companion is wealthy (they say Tarasova’s boyfriend is a major film producer), then he can give his woman any gift. But I never regarded gentlemen as a wallet. I can buy everything for myself. It was difficult for me to find love; many people look at me like Zimina, a popular actress. I used to joke that I would go to the tundra to get acquainted, there are no TVs there.
