[edit] Biography

Klitschko was born in 1971 on July 19 in the village of Belovodskoye. In 1985, the Klitschko family left for the Ukrainian SSR.

Klitschko repeatedly worked to clean out objectionable facts from his biography. Some of the facts that Klitschko's team cleaned up:

  • Jewish roots of Vitali Klitschko;
  • information that Vitali Klitschko has not lived in Ukraine for more than 10 years;
  • Klitschko's connections with crime bosses;
  • information about real estate;
  • presence of illegitimate children.

Compromising evidence and rumors

Today, the life of a professional boxer is always on people’s lips. The fact that one day the mayor of the city, who had expressed a desire to ride a bicycle to work and on errands, fell off his bike did not go unnoticed.

The fall from the bicycle was associated with a high curb, which he was unable to overcome. As a result, a fact that happened in 2020 caused heated discussion on the Internet.

Vitali Klitschko on Maidan

There are other interesting points regarding his personality. So, in 2020, journalists managed to capture on video the heavily drunk mayor of Kyiv with a cigarette in his hands. This happened when he arrived on a charter flight from Naples.

On board the plane with him were developer Nikolai Mikitas and businessman Vadim Stolar. In an interview, the mayor of the city made the excuse that he could fly with anyone. After all, he doesn’t know who bought the ticket for the seat next to him on the plane.

The famous boxer's fortune is in the millions. In the electronic declaration for 2020, he declares more than eight and a half million euros lent to third parties. He lent another almost 750 thousand dollars.

Among the real estate he owns is a metropolitan apartment with an area of 251.8 m². The wife is the owner of a mansion of 785.5 m², which is located in Lyutezhi, Vyshgorod district, Kyiv region. Here Natalya Valerievna owns a land plot of 2,500 square meters.

Among the valuables, the declaration includes: an antique mantel clock, several men's watches from the brands IWC, Frank Muller, and Mont Blanc. The wife has jewelry and expensive watches.

Among the vehicles, his wife owns a Toyota Sequoia, 2014, Land Rover Discovery, 2013.

Vitaly has a Fine Custom Puncher motorcycle, 2009, and an Ironhorse Widebody flatbed trailer, 2013. Eight expensive bicycles are included in the declaration: Scott Addict CX10 (for example, the current cost of such a new “iron horse” is 174 thousand UAH), Scott Genius, Scott Big Jon, Coratec Revolution, Coratec Inside link carbon, Cannondale, 2014 bicycles .v., Scott Genius 700 Plus Tuned Bike 2020, Scott Spark 700 Plus Tuned Bike 2020

Many different statements have appeared on the Internet about how Vitali Klitschko kisses the icon. The mayor unsuccessfully kissed her and hit his head. As a result, a video of a small incident with a loud “boom” immediately spread around the World Wide Web. The Internet was full of headlines: “Klitschko butted an icon”, “The mayor hit an icon with his head - horror! shock!”, “Which is stronger: the icon or Klitschko’s head?” etc.

Today Klitschko is engaged in a major overhaul of the capital’s streets. He notes on his social network page that repairs continue day and night and on weekends. And soon he promises to open another updated and beautiful street in the city center.

A cycling enthusiast has restored the cycle track. The facility works, pleases the people of Kiev, and gives them the opportunity to play sports. It continues to work and provide residents of the capital with new locations for recreation and mass sports.

However, there are also dissatisfied citizens who believe that it would be better if the mayor paid attention to the railway station or are indignant about the illegal construction of a number of objects in the capital.

On August 2, 2020, a presentation of the monument to Ilya Muromets took place. The sculpture of the hero became a real decoration of Kyiv. A lot of work was done with money from patrons. Not a penny of money has been allocated from the budget for the project. Vasily Verastyuk posed for the eleven-meter sculpture, which was erected in Muromets Park.

Vitaliy Klichko

In 2020, Vitaly turned 47 years old. On his birthday, he went to a camp with children in the USA for several days. Once upon a time this age seemed to him to be the twilight of his life. But now, as Klitschko himself notes, “it is not age that is important, but its content.” The mayor claims that his 48th year will be even more productive, interesting and eventful.

In addition, Vitali Klitschko recently got into a big corruption scandal. He was spotted on a charter in company with the owners of large construction corporations. The mayor of Kyiv was accompanied there by Maria Kazantseva, a former member of the supervisory board of the construction company City Capital Group, who is engaged in the construction of cottage communities in the capital.

In addition, the mayor’s traveling companion was Maxim Mikitas, a member of the Verkhovna Rada and the head of the state corporation “Ukrbud”, which is an “umbrella” for offshore companies.

And what is the promise of the mayor of Kyiv to give each participant in the hostilities in the east and the families of the victims 10 acres of land? Then the authorities took up this matter, but either they failed to bring it to fruition, or they simply decided that giving away so much land was not at all profitable. The promises remained as far back as 2014.

Yes, there were isolated cases of land transfer - only 135 families. And this is only half a percent.

They explain all this by saying that there is simply not enough land in Kyiv. But this is a little strange, because at almost every meeting, deputies of the City Council distribute land to developers for new shopping centers, residential complexes, and so on. It is still unclear how they are going to solve this problem, and this issue is unlikely to move forward in the near future.

Let’s not forget about the situation with Vitali Klitschko’s deputies. Besides the joke that “two, four of whom...”, there is also a rather deplorable situation with the fact that they are constantly changing and not from a good life. Over the course of 3 years, Vitaliy Klitschko lost two first deputies, that is, in fact, “second in command,” which indicates problems within the city government

At the moment, the mayor of Kyiv has 6 deputies.

Vitali Klitschko's deputies

Sex scandals also did not spare Vitali Klitschko. In 2017, after hackers hacked the city mayor’s email, the media reported that Klitschko was cheating on his wife and with more than one girl. Some said that lovely ladies almost lined up to sign up to see the former boxer.

But the most interesting of them is Zoryana Vyshinskaya, who affectionately called the mayor of Kyiv “Clubfooted Bear.” Judging by the correspondence that was then found in Vitaly’s mail, she was pregnant with his child and insisted that the mayor divorce his wife, with whom they had been married for more than 20 years.

Klitschko with Zoryana Vyshinskaya

In addition, several messages from the material published online were addressed to the no less charming Anna Baston, who once tried to conquer the domestic stage. No one was able to get any comments about what happened from the singer of popular songs.

And with the arrival of Vitali Klitschko as mayor of Kyiv, problems with hot water among residents of the capital became commonplace. Of course, the mayor's office says that it is not their fault at all, but they have not been able to solve this problem for several years now. Every time there are new culprits for the lack of water in the capital.

When in the summer of 2018, three thousand houses in the capital had no hot water for two months, the mayor of the city claimed that he had nothing to do with it. And he blamed NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine for everything that was happening. Its head, Andrei Kobolev, suggested that Klitschko discuss controversial issues regarding gas debts at a television debate.

Naftogaz stopped supplying gas to the capital due to Kyivenergo's debts. This private company owes a large amount of money, and also a fine of 1.2 billion. UAH Naftogaz of Ukraine refused to enter into a gas supply agreement with the newly created company, which became the legal successor of Kyivenergo.

As a result, Kiev residents were left without hot water. Meanwhile, Klitschko said that this issue is controversial. And it needs to be resolved in court, but under no circumstances should gas supplies be stopped. In one of the interviews, Fr.

However, things do not go beyond promises. The dates are postponed, but there is still no hot water. It is not a fact that it will appear closer to winter. Perhaps the townspeople and guests of the city will have to live without civilization. By the way, hot water problems have been haunting Klitschko since his election as mayor. However, things never go beyond words.

Another negative aspect associated with Klitschko’s reign is the elimination of the consequences of bad weather. After a strong summer cyclone in Kyiv, large amounts of water flooded the streets. In the capital they joked that you could even ride gondolas. However, in reality the situation was not entirely cheerful: 800 trees were knocked down, the bridge was washed away, etc.

According to the mayor, all utilities were rushed to eliminate the consequences, and soon there was no water. After the incident, Klitschko promised that the bridge would be reconstructed in a few weeks. He promised to do everything by Independence Day.

According to him, there are no threats to those who will use it. The mayor said that he had given certain instructions and that technical issues would be eliminated by the end of the year. Stressing that this problem will never exist in the future. But is this really so? Or will the situation be calm until the first heavy downpours?

Early mayoral elections

During the presidential elections in Ukraine, Vitaliy Klitschko supported the current President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. And experts found a rather interesting subtext in this. In addition to the fact that Vladimir Klitschko received full support from Poroshenko, there is also a rather interesting fact.

This happened after Vladimir Zelensky’s victory in the elections. Klchiko, in turn, almost immediately expressed a desire to hold mayoral elections several months ahead of schedule.

Leonid Kosakovsky, who served as the first head of the Kyiv City State Administration from 1993 to 1996, the head of the Kyiv City Council from 1994 to 1997, and the Kyiv City Mayor in 1997-1998, gave a rather interesting analysis of what was happening.

“The semi-legitimate Vitali Klitschko panicked. He, like all heads of administration, will have to write a letter of resignation to the newly elected President. Whether they will be reassigned or not is a big question. The statement that the new team does not take over the old ones, the way he “stoked” for Poroshenko in the elections, the recognition of how he himself voted for him, the results of the expression of the will of the people of Kiev, make us worry,” the expert said.

As Leonid Kosakovsky emphasized, a huge legal mistake is added to all this - the lack of official approval of him as head of the Kyiv City State Administration.

“They forgot to appoint him as head of the Kyiv City State Administration after the next city mayor election in the fall of 2020, despite the legal position of the Constitutional Court. That is, he remains only appointed according to the Yanukovych-Popov scheme and therefore can easily be replaced in this post by another person. That is why he recently launched “Nemtsova” in the DW project. Interview" to check the reaction to the thesis about early mayoral elections, which in turn largely depend on who will head the capital’s administration after the inauguration, so there may also be surprises here,” explains Leonid Kosakovsky.

Evaluation of Vitali Klitschko's work as mayor

In April 2020, a survey about Vitali Klitschko was launched on the Facebook page of the “Association of Taxpayers of Ukraine Territorial Branch in Kiev”. Users of the social network were asked to evaluate the actions of the politician as mayor of Kyiv. It was not possible to derive the average score. But users were divided into two camps: those who gave it a solid 0 and those who liked his work as mayor.

Beating of an ATO veteran

In December 2020, Vitali Klitschko got into a scandal because of his security guards. During a planar meeting of the City Council, news was heard that surprised everyone. Then Kiev City Council deputy Aleksey Novikov addressed the mayor: “I learned that at night a participant in the hostilities, a journalist and my friend, foreman Sergei Yakovlevich, was beaten. According to him, from about 1:00 to 2:00 a.m. he was filming on the street. B. Khmelnitsky near the opera house and filmed your motorcade. after that, he was attacked by your guards, whom he knows personally,” he said.

Vitali Klitschko after that only said that he would take control of the situation and deal with it all. But no visible actions were taken after that, and the story remained open.

Shulyavsky Bridge

Reconstruction of the Shulyavsky Bridge began on March 16, 2020. And, of course, there were scandals here too. Journalists found information that two companies that did not have the necessary equipment and experience in similar work reached the final stage of the tender for the construction of a new interchange.

But both of these companies are associated with the controversial developer Maxim Mikitas, who is called a “friend” of Mayor Klitschko. At the same time, as the construction time for the interchange increased, the amounts planned to be spent on the bridge also increased. 600 million that were announced at the tender grew into 1.5 billion

Maidan

In 2013, Vitaliy Klitschko gradually manifests himself in the processes taking place in society. Since November of the same year, together with the People's Deputy of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk, as well as the head of the All-Ukrainian Association "Freedom" Oleg Tyagnibok, he led protest actions in Ukraine.

The events in Ukraine in 2014 are significant in Klitschko’s life. Many citizens who did not agree with the government’s policies already saw Vitaly Vladimirovich as the president of the country. During Euromaidan, the presence of a world-famous personality on the barricades inspired people to believe in victory.

Vitali Klitschko on Maidan

Many believed in Klitschko, considering him a strong leader who is capable of changing the situation for the better and leading the Ukrainian nation to prosperity. In part, this “popular faith” allowed him to become the mayor of Kyiv, but soon the participants in the revolutionary events became disillusioned with the actions of the ex-boxer due to the merger of the “Udar” party with the pro-presidential political force “Petro Poroshenko Bloc” “Solidarity”.

The politician also publicly spoke about his intention to participate in the presidential elections on May 25, 2014, but later, unexpectedly for the entire Ukrainian political community, he abandoned this idea. On the eve of the presidential elections, Vitali Klitschko's rating changed significantly for the worse, and there was no confidence in victory. Then, having set his priorities, Vitaly Vladimirovich decided to abandon his presidential ambitions and take part in the elections for the mayor of the Ukrainian capital.

Vladimir Klichko. As the Steel Was Tempered

The defeats of the Klitschko brothers are a special topic. After all, it was they who gave them the opportunity to rethink strategy and tactics and make the necessary adjustments to their training process. They couldn't exist. After all, brothers are always in sight. The recordings of their fights are played hundreds of times by the opponents' boxing headquarters, looking for gaps and deficiencies in the defense.

For almost twenty years now, the boxing of the Klitschko brothers has been a significant incentive and, undoubtedly, a useful irritant for the development of the world super-heavy boxing division.

The beginning of Vladimir’s professional career was not easy. But at this time, learning from his mistakes, among other things, he progressed rapidly.

Three opponents managed to beat Vladimir, outright outplaying him in the ring.

The first of them was the American Ros Purity (12/05/1998). 32 years old versus 22. Experience and endurance won. The athlete with the nickname Boss withstood eight rounds under a hail of blows from Vladimir, and then imposed his fight on the exhausted opponent, who was physically not ready for the full distance of 12 rounds.

Vladimir’s second defeat was inflicted on March 8, 2003 by South African Corrie Sanders. In battle, he fully lived up to his nickname Sniper. He managed to find a weakness in Vladimir’s defense, the key to which was a left direct blow. This fight was sad for the younger brother. He was unable to adapt to his opponent. Corrie beat, and Vladimir fell...

The third defeat to American Lamon Brewster on April 10, 2004 turned out to be mysterious and dramatic. After the bell of the fifth round, the Ukrainian, not reaching his corner, simply collapsed onto the ring cover. The fight was interrupted, doctors diagnosed his blood sugar level as critical.
