Lyubov Tolkalina was born in the Ryazan region.
All sites that publish the actress’s biography write that she has been involved in synchronized swimming since childhood. The announcement of a multi-part drama directed by Dmitry Magonov and Igor Muzzhikhin tells the story of journalist Lera Smirnova, whose husband ended up in a coma after an assassination attempt. Journalistic investigation leads to unexpected conclusions. At the same time, Lera finds out that she is pregnant. The heroine has to make a decision on which her fate depends. Lyubov Tolkalina plays the role of Lera Smirnova. Partners in the project were actors Alexander Lazarev and Kirill Grebenshchikov.

Tolkalina was able to realize her creative potential in cinema. The debut took place after graduating from VGIK in 1999. She played in the film "The Recluse". But this role did not bring wide fame to the actress, and in subsequent years Tolkalina did not act in films.

Viewers saw the actress on screen again in 2002 - in her husband’s famous action film Antikiller. This time she got the cameo role of Lyuba, working in a travel agency. But already in Konchalovsky’s next film, Antikiller-2, her heroine, having married the main character Fox, also became one of the main characters in the film. Both films were a great success with audiences, and for some time Lyubov Tolkalina received the nickname “anti-killer”.

The success of Antikiller contributed to the directors' interest in this extraordinary actress. She starred in the TV series “Defense Line” and “Gossip Chronicles.” This was followed by the role of Nina Neverova in the series “Sins of the Fathers”. Talking about this work of hers, Lyubov Tolkalina admits: “I dreamed of a costume role - hats, feathers... I want to be feminine, I’m tired of running under a hail of blows and shots!”

In 2004, the film “I Love You” premiered, which was shown at film festivals in Berlin and Cannes. The film was unanimously recognized as scandalous and provocative. Lyubov comes from the Ryazan region. On February 16, 1978, in a small village called Mikhailovka, a girl was born. At a young age, her parents sent their daughter to synchronized swimming classes. Lyubov devoted most of her childhood and youth to this sport. The coaches had great hopes for the young athlete, who was able to achieve the title of Master of Sports. However, the girl had her own plans for life. For her, synchronized swimming was more of an art than a lifelong pursuit.

Having completed her sports career, Tolkalina went to conquer the acting department of the All-Russian Cinematography Institute. In 1999, Lyubov received a diploma and got a job in the theater of the Russian Army. As a student, the girl realized that the theater stage was not for her. The real element of the aspiring actress was working in cinema. For the first time, Lyubov experienced all the hardships and delights of filming at the end of 1999. Then work was underway on the film “The Recluse.” Tolkalina got the role of the main character’s friend, but the film failed and did not bring the desired result.

After an unsuccessful debut, the actress took a three-year break. The next role was a supporting character in the action movie Antikiller. In 2003, the second part of the film was released. According to the script, the events unfolded around the main character and his new lover, played by Lyubov Tolkalina. Both parts of the film were a huge success with the audience, and the young actress’s career skyrocketed.

The role in this film helped Lyubov attract the attention of other directors. Soon the actress was bombarded with new offers. Three television series were filmed with Tolkalina’s participation. The most successful work, according to the majority of viewers, was the role of the femme fatale in “Sins of the Fathers.” In an interview, the actress noted that she considers her role in the scandalous film “I Love You” to be the best work of her entire career. According to the plot, the main character fell in love with a man of non-traditional sexual orientation. Mental anguish due to unrequited love forced the girl to look for a way out of a difficult situation. Despite mixed reviews from film critics, the film received recognition among the audience.

Mostly Lyubov Tolkalina starred in dramatic films and TV series. However, in 2004, the actress was offered to star in the film “The Listener.” This work required the manifestation of acting skills in the comedy genre. Colleagues on the set later stated that they were surprised by the professionalism of Tolkalina, who did an excellent job with her image.

At the end of 2004, the film “Traders” was released. The film told the story of a time of crisis when social status did not matter. The civil marriage of Tolkalina and Konchalovsky seemed very strong. In 2001, their daughter Masha was born. “Egor made enough attempts to drag me into the registry office. Internally, I still feel twenty-two years old, but at the same time I know much more about myself. I know how to love myself, I know how to control myself. I have gained trust in the world, faith, resilience, emotional stability and love for everything I do. Over time, the obsession with oneself, with one’s “precious” inner world, which often causes so many problems, receded.

The most valuable knowledge that I received by the age of forty: the main thing in life is human relationships. The ability to build them must be learned from childhood. I also know that progress in a woman’s life comes when she is in love.

So you're in love now?

I wouldn't like to talk about my personal life. If only because for this I need to get permission from my lover. I'll talk about this when the time comes. Let's just say I'm in love globally. ( Laughs.

) About three years ago, I sat with my old friend Natasha and talked about what we would like to do.
I said that I would really like to have my own theater - small, homely, cozy. So that there are no bosses, restrictions, frames, formats or boundaries. One sheer joy. Needless to say, this is how it happened. ( Smiles

Cultural center, charity space - Cathedral Theater. It turns out that I am an ideological inspirer, artistic director, director, actress and co-producer. On our site, people can hear lectures on general psychology, art, and the history of music; we provide an opportunity for theaters that do not have their own stage to present themselves to the world, we hold concerts and charity events, and, of course, we rehearse. Now the play “The Last Russian Tsarina” is preparing for the premiere - about the relationship between Peter I and his first wife Evdokia Lopukhina. I can finally play whatever I want and cast myself in the roles.

To be honest, I suffered for a long time from the way modern cinema sees me. It seems to me that I didn’t get to play anything serious. With the exception of Lydia Zakharova in Zhukov. This is my favorite role.

Are you really unhappy with your role in the series “Girls Don’t Give Up,” which will soon be released on the STS channel?

You took me at my word! ( Laughs

.) I got the role as a resistance and thought for a long time whether to agree or not. The fact is that I was offered to play a permanently drunk woman. I called my heroine “Ksenia under the Fly,” and my only condition was preliminary rehearsals. I needed the director to build a role for me and really help me on set. After all, how often does this happen? They tell you: “You’re drunk here, play drunk.” But playing a drunk woman for sixteen episodes requires talent and variety.

Did you succeed?

We tried our best! ( Laughs

.) I got myself a notebook where I wrote down observations of drunk women. I specifically went to restaurants and bars, observing the gestures of women in varying degrees of intoxication. Then, when I started pouring out my findings to director Sergei Krasnov on the set, he believed that such mastery of the material makes a real drama out of a comedy. Because, as you know, a drunk woman is a disaster for the family. Therefore, I had to control myself and adapt my alcohol addiction to the fun, irresponsibility, immaturity and natural charm of the heroine.

The creators of “Girls” claim that this series is our answer to “Sex and the City.” Do you agree?

Ours is better! If only because this is a story about us. This is a series about the “magnificent five” women on the verge of a nervous breakdown because life has placed them in very harsh financial conditions. They are from completely different social strata, but they have one thing in common - a bankrupt bank. And as you know, nothing brings people together like common misfortune, and the girls begin to become friends. And indeed, we worked very friendly. I felt what it was like to create in conditions of absolute love, I looked forward to every day of filming, fell asleep in the evening and thought: I wish I could wake up soon.

I have a personal list of people whom I consider my teachers. And on this series he replenished. I am simply shocked by the work of actress Vika Koblenko. From her I learned the feeling of a team.

No matter what happens—the twenty-fifth hour of your shift, rain, “the sun is falling,” everyone is tired, cold, you’re wearing infantile chiffon instead of a dress—the whole group has gathered here in order to release you into space. And you must get into space no matter what. And Vika was always full of enthusiasm and desire to work, so there was nothing left to do but match her. Vika is fire. Anya Yakunina - endless laughter on the set. Wonderful, sensual Masha Valeshnaya from St. Petersburg played my sister. And the charming little grumpy Agnia Kuznetsova. This is our gang. We called ourselves “mymry”, I have a chat on my phone that is called that.

Lyuba, are you one of those who never gives up?

It seems to me that not giving up is in the character of every woman. No matter what happens - hold on, smile, think positively, believe, set yourself and those around you for the best, understand that only you are the builder of your world. And everything depends only on your energy. Strive to be on top, look great, don’t think about the result, but get busy. And love at all costs. For me, this is all included in the description of the concept of femininity. I try to look at the world this way myself. The most important thing in the world is close people. And they do not become less close if life decides that you no longer live together. Like Volodin: “What to do, this is life. Meetings first. Every day there is a meeting... Then - partings. Years go by... With one person, with another person. It would be nice to be with strangers - with friends! It would be nice to be with friends - with loved ones! And we never parted. We just moved to a different quality. We finally managed to learn how to be friends, something we didn’t know how to do when we were together. Loving people are often selfish. It seems that you have the right to another person, to his feelings, thoughts, to his life and destiny. And love turns from a bright feeling into predation. And this is the beginning of the end. How did you come to this idea?

Everything came together naturally. I realized that a loved one cannot go anywhere. I personally took upon myself the responsibility to announce our breakup because I found out that Yegor would soon become a father for the second time. I thought it would be fair. I probably made a lot of mistakes in our life together with Yegor. I unconsciously treated the family. Masha, in fact, was raised by a nanny while Yegor and I worked. And this is the only thing I would like to change in my life. It was necessary not to leave Masha at home, but to grab her and carry her with her everywhere. Now my daughter is almost seventeen, a transitional age, this is very difficult for all of us. And this really unites Egor and I. He turns to me for advice, and I turn to him for help.
