Mishukov was accepted into the Union of Photographers of the Russian Federation and the Union of Journalists of Moscow. For some time, Vladimir collaborated with such publications as: “Vogue”, “Go”, “Glamour”, “Harpers Bazar”, “Madam Figaro”, “Elle”, “In style”. According to the artist, photography is such a non-standard way of revealing the inner world of a person on the other side of the lens.
In the period from 2000 to 2010, Mishukov was engaged exclusively in photography. The artist held a number of high-profile exhibitions that captivated European experts. In 2011, Vladimir presented a series of works called “Close People”. The exhibition took place at the Lumiere Brothers Center for Photography. This exhibition was dedicated to people with Down syndrome. According to the actor, it is more correct to call this diagnosis “love syndrome.”
The talented photographer is known for his catchphrase: “Don’t be afraid to look at what you were taught not to look at.” Vladimir explains his words as follows: “When I was working on the project “Close People,” I did not see sick people. In front of me were real, sincere individuals who were ready to help me create masterpieces.”
Mishukov also collaborated with the famous director Andrei Zvyagintsev in the framework of the television project “Photography and Cinema. Which influences which more.” The creative tandem shot short humorous videos that were a great success. Fans of the program began to ask Vladimir why he did not appear in Zvyagintsev’s films. To which the photographer jokingly replied: “You’re just sitting far away and don’t see me, but Andrey loves close-ups.”

Vladimir Mishukov was born on June 11, 1969 in Moscow. After school, in 1995 he graduated from the Russian Institute of Theater Arts with a degree in theater and film actor. But, having received his diploma, he did not immediately become an actor, but became interested in photography, where he achieved excellent results. It was as a professional photographer that Vladimir first gained fame.
Mishukov is a member of the Union of Photographers of Russia and the Union of Journalists of Moscow. Collaborates with famous design studios, advertising agencies, magazines “VOGUE”, “GQ”, “Glamour”, “ELLE”, “In style”, “Harpers Bazar”, “Premier”, “Madame Figaro”.
As an actor, he first appeared on screen in the late 1990s in the short film “The Yearning Heifer” and the film-play “Wonderful Alloy.” Then for more than ten years he was engaged exclusively in photography. Held a number of exhibitions. Thus, his series of photographs entitled “Close People”, dedicated to people with Down syndrome, both adults and children, was received with great success by the public. I worked with the famous Russian director Andrei Zvyagintsev on one of the television channels and shot humorous game promotional videos. Together with the director, Mishukov as a photographer, and Zvyagintsev as a director, conducted joint master classes, in particular, “Photography and Cinema. Which influences which more.” The master classes were a great success.
In 2010, Mishukov made his debut as an actor in the feature film Cadenza. His first fame as an actor came from his role as a priest, Father Valentin Fomin, in the film “Daughter” by his classmate Natalya Nazarova.
Vladimir Mishukov also played the main role in the political comedy “Tomorrow” directed by Roman Volobuev. His hero is the temporary head of the presidential administration Alexei Evgenievich Lapshin. The role of Razuvaev in the crime film “Life Circumstances” directed by Andrei Marmontov became noticeable.
Further, Mishukov played one of the key roles in the film “Dream Fish,” the directorial debut of Anton Bilzho. His role in this drama: middle-aged St. Petersburg proofreader Roman, who leaves for the Estonian seaside to edit in silence the fundamental ichthyological work “Fishes of the Baltic Sea.” At the Sakhalin festival "Edge of the World" and at the Russian film festival in the French city of Honfleur, his work won prizes for best actor.
In 2020, Mishukov appeared in the serial film “Crime” by Maxim Vasilenko, where he worked in partnership with Andrei Chernyshov and Valeria Shkirando. His work in the eight-episode crime detective “Excellent Student” directed by Oksana Karas also turned out to be significant. This is a detective story taking place in the post-war years. His filming partners were Yana Gladkikh, Alexander Yatsenko, Nikita Efremov, Yulia Aug.
On the last day of February 2020, the film “Mistresses” was released on the screens of the country, where Vladimir Mishukov brilliantly played one of the roles. Three ordinary Muscovite women: a nurse, a student and an actress meet by chance in a bar and find out that everyone has just broken up with their men, who turned out to be tied by marriage. To begin with, the girls decide to take revenge on their exes. But when the goal is achieved, the friends have an idea: using their ingenuity and artistic abilities, help sisters in misfortune like them, expose unfaithful husbands and punish two-faced lovers.

In the late 90s, he decided to try his hand at filming some films, but these films did not bring him fame, and he returned to photography. At the same time, according to Mishukov himself, the subject of photography, be it a person, an object or nature, is of interest to him if it really manages to reveal his soul. Exhibitions of his photographs have repeatedly caused resonant opinions in society. For example, in 2011, one of the exhibitions featured photographs of people with Down syndrome, which caused a very mixed reaction in society.
At the time, Mishukov worked closely with the famous director Andrei Zvyagintsev - they worked together on television. At one time they organized master classes together. At one of them, Zvyagintsev was asked a question about why the director does not film Mishukov in his films, because the latter has an interesting face for an actor. And, although both of them joked about this then, after that Mishukov began to actively play roles in the theater and act in films. From the beginning of the 2010s to this day, he has played many roles, the most striking of which were roles in the films “Daughter”, “Tomorrow”, “Life Circumstances”, as well as in the TV series “Crime” and “Excellent Student”. He continues to actively act in films to this day.

Vladimir Mishukov is married to the ex-wife of the famous Russian director Andrei Zvyagintsev, Inna. The woman graduated from RATI-GITIS, but did not work a day in her profession. She later received her medical education, choosing to specialize in gynecology. The couple has four children.
The Mishukovs' youngest son was born with a diagnosis of Down syndrome. According to the artist, doctors suggested Inna have an abortion and warned that the boy would be special. About the birth of Plato, Vladimir says the following: “When my wife called and said that the tests were confirmed, I experienced unprecedented joy. Even then, I was madly in love with our baby, who was like a note sent to us by God.”
