He wanted to refresh the troupe and called Menshikov . At the same time, he himself continues to hold the banner as president of the theater.

— Menshikov stopped paying money to Tatyana Dogileva and Viktor Proskurin because they had not played anything in the theater for a long time. They were very offended. Whose side are you on in this conflict?

“I didn’t talk to Tanya about this, but we talked to Victor as soon as he wrote a letter of resignation. I told him: “Vitya, why? Call Oleg, talk!” But Proskurin didn’t answer me. Apparently, he wanted to continue to be a member of the theater, and not work in it.

- I don’t think so. And we have no creative jealousy towards each other. We've been together for 29 years. 17 of them are married. My children and grandchildren are not only amazing in appearance, but also very smart! Tanya and I have two children - Lydia and Ivan. They did not follow in our footsteps, but became economists.
