Biography of Roman Zobnin

Roman Zobnin, Russian football player. Position on the field: midfielder. Currently he plays in the main squad of the capital's Spartak.

Childhood

Roman was born on February 11, 1994 in Irkutsk. The father was a pilot, but despite constant business trips he managed to raise his son - Roman grew up as an obedient and hardworking child. The boy's mother was a former volleyball player. Roman has a brother, Alexander, who is 5 years older. He also tried his hand at football, but at the age of 23 he left the sport and became a student at the St. Petersburg State University of Civil Aviation. The boy showed his love for sports from childhood. Already in the first grades of school, he often stayed late in the yard with friends, playing ball, even in forty-degree frost. At the age of 6, he began playing football at the Irkutsk school “Young Dynamo”. Although the boy was the youngest on the team, the coaches already noted his football talent and awarded him the nickname Romario. He competed with guys 1-2 years older and played better than many, which is why his teammates often bullied him. But he was no longer interested in playing with players his age. By the age of 10, he had outgrown the scale of Irkutsk and, after coach Sergei Belousov noticed him in the final of the Children's Football League, he went to study at the football academy named after. Yuri Konoplev in Tolyatti. Roman himself recalls these years as a very difficult time - according to his confessions, he really missed his family (from Irkutsk to Togliatti it took 4 days to travel by train), and in the children's group, as often happens, they looked closely at him: they ignored him, bullied. But this period has passed. An interesting life began, full of new victories on the field and foreign internships. He had the opportunity to play with Manchester United and Chelsea.

Sports career

In April 2011, the young footballer made his debut for the Tolyatti team “Academy”, which at that time played in the second division.
I remember my debut: I came out against Ufa and could have scored with my first touch, but I didn’t realize the one-on-one opportunity.

In the summer of 2012, he made his first unsuccessful attempt to become a football player for the Dynamo club and was not successful. The second attempt to take Dynamo by storm in the winter of 2013 was crowned with success - the coaches noticed the young man and, despite the previous refusal, decided to take him as an “experiment”. He started with a double, where he received 80 thousand a month. Half went to rent.

The first few games managed to become the basis for his transfer to the main team in the summer of 2013, where he continued to surprise the team, coaches and fans of the team with his tenacity. He was offered a contract for two and a half years, and the football player’s salary increased to 250 thousand per month. After his first successes at Dynamo, Roman received an offer from the Spartak club and signed a contract with the club until 2021, thanks to which he had the opportunity to play on the same team with such professionals as Quincy Promes, Luis Adriano, Denis Glushakov. Head coach Massimo Carrera saw in him all the ingredients to become an outstanding player. In 2015, Roman played for the Russian national team, replacing Vasily Berezutsky. In June 2020, Roman injured his right leg in a match with the Hungarian national team. He managed to recover from the consequences of the injury in 4 months, although usually treatment for a cruciate ligament rupture takes six months. On November 18, he returned to the field during the game against Krasnodar, coming on as a substitute.

Personal life of Roman Zobnin

Roman Zobnin met his wife Ramina while playing for Tolyatti. She and her friend came to watch the game. After the game, she and Roman met - the football player was struck by her beauty. The next day, he told his friends about the meeting, and they secretly wrote to the girl from his VKontakte page. That same evening, Roman agreed on a date and went to the flower shop to buy the best bouquet. In the winter of 2013, Ramina and her lover moved to Moscow. After two years of relationship, the couple got married on the island of Bali, surrounded by family and friends. In 2020, the couple welcomed a son, Robert. His wife supports Roman in his career and calls herself the main Spartak fan. The young man immediately warned his beloved that his profession would take a lot of time.

Roman Zobnin now

In 2020, Roman joined the expanded national team before the World Cup.
Due to a recent injury, he had to train twice as hard. If you find an error in the text, select it and press Ctrl+Enter

Roman Zobnin, Midfielder, Russia, Spartak

Roman Zobnin is a Russian football player, midfielder of Spartak and the Russian national team. He is a graduate of the Konopleva Academy, and began his career in the Second Division zone “Ural”. On the eve of the 2013/14 season, he moved to the capital's Dynamo and gradually made his way into the Dynamo team. In the 2015/16 season, he played in 29 out of 30 possible matches, and his team took penultimate place and was relegated to the FNL. Zobnin moved to Spartak, signing a five-year contract with this team. He is a player of the Russian national team, making his debut on March 31, 2020 in a match against Kazakhstan.

He began his football career in Irkutsk Zvezda. At the age of ten, he moved to the Yuri Konoplev Academy, founded by the famous Russian businessman Roman Abramovich. After studying here for six years, Zobnin signed a contract with the Academy club from the Second Division. In April 2011 he made his debut in adult football. Gradually he established himself in the starting lineup of the Academy and was invited to try out for Dynamo Moscow. I stayed in Moscow for almost two weeks, did not receive a contract offer, so I returned to Togliatti. After playing another year at the Academy, Zobnin returned to Dynamo and this time signed a 2.5-year contract with the blue and whites.

"Dynamo Moscow"

The 2013/14 season was supposed to start with the youth team, but already at the winter training camp he trained with the main team and on July 19 he made his debut in the Premier League in a match against Anzhi (2-1). Subsequently he played in four more matches in all tournaments. On November 20, 2014, he signed a new contract with Dynamo and began to appear more often in the first team. At the end of the season, he took part in half of the matches, scoring his debut goal in the confrontation with Ural. He also made his debut in the Eurocups in a match against Napoli. In this match, he was sent off in the first half, and his team lost with a score of 1-3. At the end of the season, Zobnin received the “Nadezhda Dynamo” award, awarded to the best young football player from the main and reserve squads.

In the 2015/16 season, Zobnin turns into a key player for Dynamo and comes to the attention of English superclubs. In April, the authoritative publication The Telegraph announced ongoing negotiations between Manchester United and Dynamo. A Telegraph source claimed that the “devils” are ready to offer Chicharito and 4.5 million euros for the blue and white player. However, subsequently the publication itself issued a refutation of this information. In the winter of 2020, Brugge, Anderlecht and AZ also tried to rent the midfielder, but Dynamo did not want to let the player go. As a result, Zobnin finished the 2015/16 season at Dynamo, playing in 29 out of 30 possible matches. The capital's club left the elite division for the first time in modern history, and scouts from various clubs began to hunt for Roman.

"Spartacus"

In the summer of 2020, he was linked with Zenit, Spartak, Lokomotiv and Rubin. On June 10, it became known that Roman had agreed on the terms of the contract with Spartak. The midfielder explained his decision to move to the “red-white” camp as follows:

“Everything was decided in just a week or two.”
I learned about the interest after the last tour. But almost half of the Premier League showed interest: I heard about CSKA, Lokomotiv, Rubin, Krylia. But few people made concrete proposals. They wanted to see me at Spartak, they noticed my potential. But they didn’t promise anything: if I become stronger than someone, I will play. - Why Spartak?
- I need to grow. I feel like I’m gaining strength, I want to play in the Europa League and reach a new level. Working with Alenichev is also very interesting. I want to play in a full Spartak stadium, to immerse myself in this whole atmosphere.

He made his debut in the new team in the Europa League match against AEK (1-1). He also appeared in the starting lineup for the debut match of the 2016/17 Premier League against Arsenal (4-0). After this match, the “red-white” coach Dmitry Alenichev said that he considered Zobnin as the leader of the center of the field.

International career of Roman Zobnin

He played in the youth and youth teams of Russia under 16, 17, 18 and 19 years old, playing a total of 26 matches. In 2020, he made his debut in the main Russian national team in a friendly match against Kazakhstan, replacing the injured Vasily Berezutsky in the 22nd minute.

Ramina Zobnina. Roman Zobnin's wife - Football beauty - Blogs

7 August 2020 15:27

Ramina is the No. 1 fan of one of the leaders of Spartak Moscow, Roman Zobnin, and his main support. The couple has been married for several years and is raising a son, Robert, who is almost a year and a half old. Roman, a graduate of the Yuri Konoplev Academy, met his future wife in Togliatti when the girl came to the next match of the local “Academy” in the second division. The young football player immediately liked Ramina, he found the girl’s page on a social network and wrote to her. This is how their relationship began.

Roman proposed to Ramina after almost two years of relationship, and immediately informed her that football comes first for him, all thoughts are about growth, and she must be ready to endure the fact that he will not be around all the time.

“For me, as a person who has been passionate about football all my life, it is very important that my family understands how important the game is to me. Ramina agreed. And we continue to look for ways in which both she and I feel comfortable,” says Roman.

Despite the fact that the young people have been married for a long time, they managed to celebrate their wedding only last winter on the island of Bali.

At first, the girl was not very interested in football, and at matches she mostly took selfies and corresponded with her friends, but then she got involved, began to worry, watch games, and be interested in the situation.

Few people know, but it is because of Ramina that the football player plays under number 47. In the Dynamo youth team, where he moved from Tolyatti, he had to choose a number from 30 and above. Roman asked the girl which number to choose, and she replied that she liked the numbers “4” and “7”. Roman still plays under this number.

But relationships are truly tested not when everything is fine, but when trouble strikes. And trouble came in the summer of 2020, when in an insignificant friendly match of the Russian national team against Hungary, Zobnin injured the lateral and cruciate ligament of the knee, losing football for several months. The dream of playing at the home Confederations Cup was not destined to come true. As well as moving to one of the top European championships, whose teams were seriously interested in the young player.

And this is where Ramina showed her best side. She, despite the small child in her arms, surrounded Roman with care and warmth. Moreover, she appealed to Spartak fans to support her husband. “Red and white, are there many of you here?? I'm sure yes!!! Please make a video message for Romka with words of support!!! This will cheer him up! He is very worried. He loves football madly and is upset that the injury has unsettled him. He should know that everyone is waiting for him back!!,” she wrote on her Twitter.

And Spartak fans responded. And not only from Moscow, but from many cities in Russia. And not only them. Roman was supported by his partners in Spartak and the national team, as well as by the players of the women’s national team.

Did this support help, or do we believe only in medicine, but not even two months had passed since the injury before Zobnin began individual training. And the hour is not far when he will return to the field stronger than before.
