Biography
From early childhood, Denis Vasiliev played football. This hobby completely occupied the boy until theater appeared in his life.
At the age of 12, Denis was invited to the Moscow Youth Theater of Vyacheslav Spesivtsev. It all started with a cameo role, and in high school the young actor already played Romeo. By the end of school, the young man had a very solid baggage of theatrical roles behind him, which left no doubt about the choice of his future profession.
Denis Vasiliev went to the Shchepkinsky School and entered there the first time, taking the course of Viktor Korshunov.
Childhood and youth
Denis was born on May 12, 1987 in Moscow, into a family of doctors. As a child, he was fond of football and swimming.

Vasiliev's parents separated when the boy was about 5 years old. Subsequently, the child's father did not take much part in raising his son. Soon, Vasiliev’s mother married a second time and gave birth to Denis’s sister Elena. Now the actor’s mother and sister live in Germany.
Theater
After graduating from theater school in 2008, Denis got a job at the Mayakovsky Theater. Later he took part in theater performances. In 2013, he was accepted into the troupe of the S.A.D. Theater.
In 2008, the young actor received his first theater awards: First Prize at the Annual Student Writing Competition and the Golden Leaf in the Best Actor nomination for his role as John Buchanan in the play Summer and Smoke by Tennessee Williams.

Denis Vasiliev made his film debut in 2006 - in the film “Flowers for the Snow Queen”. Later he played in “Daddy’s Daughters,” the short film “Make a Gainer,” and the melodrama “Dove.”

In 2018, the melodrama “Live to Love” with the participation of Denis Vasiliev was released. According to the plot of the film, Liza Volkova, who grew up without a mother, dreams of happiness with a young man Andrei and is going to marry him. But all plans crumble to dust when her father, who raised and educated his daughter, goes to prison, and then also loses his business.
Lisa learns that responsibility for the horror that befell her family lies with a certain Arina Melnikova, the owner of the largest construction company, a powerful and wealthy woman. Arina is used to playing with people's lives, and Lisa is determined to take revenge on her, restore justice and return everything that was so dear to her.

In 2020, the actor was busy filming the 12-episode melodrama “The Cruel World of Men” by Roman Nesterenko about the struggle for a place in the sun of the young financier Kira Arefieva (actress Ravshana Kurkova). In addition to Denis, Igor Vernik, Dzhemal Tetruashvili, Linda Lapinsh and Sergei Chonishvili will appear in the series. Personal life
Denis Vasiliev met his future wife, actress Irina Tarannik, at the Shchukin School. The young people studied on the same course. Now Irina works at the Russian Academic Youth Theater, but sometimes she plays in plays with her husband.
The future spouses spent quite a long time testing their relationship. The wedding took place in the summer of 2014. A year later, Denis and Irina had a daughter, Taisiya, whom both parents doted on. The social network accounts of the Vasilyeva-Tarannik family have many happy photos together with their daughter.
Film career
When did Denis Vasiliev first appear on TV screens? The actor began acting while still studying at Sliver. The first film in which the aspiring actor appeared was called “Flowers for the Snow Queen.” It came out in 2006. Denis played Artyom, Emilia's fiancé. Filming in this film did not bring him fame, but it gave him invaluable experience working on camera.
In 2007, three films with the participation of Denis Vasiliev were released. Among them, one can highlight the television series “Daddy’s Daughters,” where the actor appeared in the image of Dima (Masha Vasnetsova’s boyfriend).
Since 2010, our hero began acting in TV series. The images he created were vivid and believable. Real success came to the young actor in 2012. It was then that he played the main role (Sasha Chernyaev) in the film “My Only Sin”.

Denis began acting in films in his third year at the institute - Vasiliev was invited to shoot the New Year’s film “Flowers for the Snow Queen.” Denis got a small but bright role of Artem, Emilia’s fiancé (actress Ksana Radchenko), while the main roles were played by Olesya Sudzilovskaya and Igor Vernik.
Before the end of “Sliver” in 2008, Vasiliev managed to appear in episodic roles in five more domestic TV series and films, among which was the famous television epic “Daddy’s Daughters.” In it, Denis played Dmitry, Masha’s (Miroslava Karpovich) gentleman.
In 2010-2012, the actor received more significant, although still minor, roles. The viewer could see Denis in the detective series “Sheriff” (in the role of Lieutenant Andrei Klimchik), the melodramatic series “Dove”, which takes place in the late 1950s in a military town, the family saga “Poor Relatives” about life in the post-war period and 4- serial melodrama "Cornflowers".
In 2012, Vasiliev played his first leading role in the series “My Only Sin” directed by Karine Foliyants. According to the plot of the melodramatic saga, Denis’s hero, Sasha Chernyaev, falls in love with his father’s young wife (actress Elena Kalinina) and experiences a difficult life choice.
Before the launch of the series, Vasiliev visited the “Good Morning” program on Channel One and told viewers about his character and the series as a whole.

In October 2020, the TVC channel launched a new series of Ukrainian production, “Ambulance,” in which Denis played the main role - trainee Artem Nechaev. According to the actor, his hero is “green,” naive and too kind, experiencing a huge amount of stress at his new job. The most memorable moment of filming for Denis was the birth scene. This story was filmed for four whole days, after which Vasiliev realized that “doctors are simply superhumans.”
Three Queens (2016)
In the same year, Vasiliev played a key role in the family saga based on Maria Metlitskaya’s bestseller “The Diary of a Mother-in-Law,” and also appeared in the melodramatic series “Almond Taste of Love.”
2016 was a truly victorious year for Vasiliev. Three TV series and one film were released in which Denis starred: “Obsession”, “Threads of Fate”, “The Talion Principle” and “Three Queens”.
After the premiere of “Threads of Fate” with Mila Sivatskaya and Evgenia Rozanova in the lead roles, the popularity of the young actor reached a new level - he gained numerous fans, he began to be recognized on the streets.
Also this year, Vasiliev could be seen in the historical series “Black Cat”, which was shown on the Russia-1 TV channel.
