The head of the Federal Property Management Agency left his wife and child for the sake of actress Anna Peskova

BIOGRAPHY

Anna Peskova was born in Chelyabinsk. Her mother is an art critic, candidate of philosophical sciences. The girl studied at a gymnasium with in-depth study of French and English, and at the same time studied folk dancing and music.

Anna recalls: “I began to show interest in creativity at the age of 3-4 years, when I organized home performances. We often had guests at our house, and I loved to stand on a stool and take a spoon in my hand, imagining that it was a microphone.” Her parents sent the girl to a theater studio, and at the age of 11 she received an invitation to play in the play “The Little Chimney Sweep” on the stage of the Chelyabinsk Chamber Theater.

After graduating from school, Anna went to Moscow, where she successfully passed all the tests and became a student at the Shchukin School. But due to the circumstances, the girl was forced to return to Chelyabinsk and continue her studies there. She entered the Chelyabinsk State Academy of Culture and Arts at the Faculty of Theater, Film and Television.

early years

Anna was born in industrial Chelyabinsk in 1985. She inherited her love for everything related to cinema from her mother, who once really wanted to become a film director, but was unlucky. An attempt to enter VGIK ended in nothing, and the most offensive thing was not through her fault. One of the members of the selection committee, sympathetically but directly, told her that if she were a man, she would have been accepted in the first place.

Unfortunately, at that time only men were accepted into the directing department. I had to return home. Subsequently, the mother of the future actress became an art critic, but retained her attachment to cinema throughout her life. In interviews, Anna often mentions that she owes much of her love for acting to her mother.

Even at the age of 3-4, little Anya loved to organize home concerts. When guests arrived, she stood on a stool and performed in front of them, using an ordinary tablespoon instead of a microphone.

A TELEVISION

While studying at the institute, Anna began working on television. From 2006 to 2008, the girl was a presenter on the Chelyabinsk TV channel “STS”, and for her work in 2007 she received the “Best Television Presenter” award.

Soon Anna received an offer to move to St. Petersburg and work there. “I wanted to learn from professionals, gain experience and achieve greater heights, so I immediately agreed. And a week later I was in St. Petersburg. Then the 2008 crisis hit, so I only worked for a couple of months, after which the channel was closed.”

Fluke

After graduating from the institute, Anna Peskova went to St. Petersburg. She got a job on television. But a crisis struck and the TV channel was closed. This was followed by a difficult period in Anna's life. They didn’t hire her as an actress, but she had to live on something. Anna got a job as a manager at an Internet company.

And if not for an accident, she might not have become an actress. One day Anna was driving to work and noticed a film crew in one of the parks. She immediately asked the bus driver to stop and ran to look for the director, to whom she gave her resume.

She handed it over, turned and walked away. After a while, she turned around and saw that the director was about to throw her resume in the trash. Anna was ready to burst into tears, because her dreams and hopes were crumbling before her eyes.

But the director suddenly changed his mind. The thing is that he was also born in Chelyabinsk. And, seeing in the resume the name of the city from which Anna came, he decided to give the girl a chance. After some time, our heroine received a call and was invited to shoot in the film “A Word to a Woman.”

Anna worked on the creation of the film for two years. This was followed by several more minor roles. She appeared before the audience in such projects as “Streets of Broken Lanterns”, “Sniper”, “Russian Take” and “B.O.M.Zh”.

MOVIE

The young actress’s first films were roles in the films: “Liteiny-2”, “B.O.M.Zh.”, “Obsessed”, “Russian Take”, “Sniper” and “Streets of Broken Lanterns-10”. But Anna considers the series “A Word to a Woman” to be the starting point in her film career. “Living in St. Petersburg, I continued to distribute my applications to film studios and go to all kinds of tests and castings. One day I was riding in a minibus and accidentally saw a film crew in the park. I ran out into the street, found the director and asked to take my resume. The director turned out to be my fellow countryman and agreed to hand over the portfolio to his casting director. Knowing how most directors feel about this kind of thing, I consider myself very lucky. Three months later they called me back. The audition was successful - I was approved for the role of secretary Anya in the film “A Word to a Woman.”

After working in the series “A Word to a Woman,” Anna begins to appear in films more and more often. The girl plays in the films: “Witness Protection”, “Military Intelligence. Northern Front”, “It All Started in Harbin”, “Rust”, “Tail”, “Trust Me”, “Haute Cuisine” and many others.

"Pregnancy test"

In 2014, the premiere of the series “Pregnancy Test” took place, where Anna played one of the most striking roles in her filmography - the vile intriguer Inga Elizarova. The actress admits: “I’m still surprised how director Mikhail Weinberg, when I came to audition for this project, saw in me the potential for this role. He and I worked a lot on the image, and thanks to Mikhail, it turned out so convincing and memorable.”

According to the plot, the new head of the obstetrics department, the young and talented Natalya Bakhmetyeva, comes to the experimental scientific and medical center. On the very first day of work, she causes a storm of emotions among her new colleagues, delighting them with her undeniable professionalism and outraged by her tough character. Natasha does not attach importance to the fans and envious people who instantly appeared around her. Independent and reserved, she relies only on herself. This lifestyle was the result of her long-term secret affair with Yuri Kolmogorov, a high-ranking official who was once her scientific supervisor at the institute. Realizing that Yuri will never leave the family, Natasha breaks up with him, moves from Moscow to St. Petersburg and gets a new job. But fate confronts Natasha with a difficult choice, as if testing her strength...

The film also starred: Svetlana Ivanova, Kirill Grebenshchikov, Danila Dunaev, Lyanka Gryu, Anna Kamenkova, Arthur Vakha and others.

"Heirlooms"

Among the actress’s latest premieres is the melodrama “Family Healings,” in which Anna played ballerina Tatyana Goreeva. “According to the plot, my heroine is at the zenith of her career. Tatyana is a very subtle, sensitive and cheerful person. Already at the beginning of this story, she is injured as a result of a fall set up by her rival. And because of this, her whole life begins to crumble. In addition, the relationship with her mother, with the person closest to her, is strained,” says the actress about her role.

Anna's partners on the set were: Viktor Dobronravov, Olga Naumenko, Dmitry Orlov, Svetlana Kozhemyakina and others.

"Boomerang"

In the fall of 2020, the Rossiya TV channel premiered the melodrama “Boomerang” with Anna Peskova in the title role. According to the plot, 16-year-old Dasha is going to run away to Moscow with her boyfriend, Andrey (Petr Kislov). Dasha is a professor’s daughter, Andrei is from a dysfunctional family, but the guys love each other and are confident that, despite their parents’ prohibitions, they can be happy.

However, on the day of departure, a misfortune occurs in Andrei’s family, and he asks Dasha to postpone his departure until another day. Dasha is against it - she has already written a letter to her mother, she is sure that she will no longer have a chance to escape. The guys quarrel, and in the evening an unknown person attacks Dasha and rapes her. Suspicions fall on Andrey...

The film also stars: Alexey Tikhonov, Olga Prokofieva, Ekaterina Rednikova, Dmitry Miller, Alexey Barabash, Maria Bolonkina, Valery Storozhik and others.

Biography and personal life

Popular Russian actress and TV presenter Anna Peskova is from Chelyabinsk.
The girl inherited her love for the stage, transformation and art from her mother, an art critic and musician. The mother of the future actress was a student at the directing department of VGIK, but she received her higher education not in Moscow, but at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts. Since childhood, Anna wanted to become an actress, she “rehearsed” in front of the mirror, portrayed a “star” in front of the TV screen, and felt free at children’s and school matinees.

During her school years, she burned with a passion for folk dancing, enthusiastically ran to classes at one of the music schools, from which she successfully graduated, where she mastered the piano class.

At the age of thirteen, the talented girl made her debut on the stage of the Chelyabinsk City Chamber Theater in the musical for children “The Little Chimney Sweep,” playing her first leading role. This success determined the future life, career and fate of Anna Peskova - she firmly decided to become a professional actress.

Having received a certificate of secondary education (she successfully graduated from a linguistic gymnasium), the girl went to Moscow. Having passed all the tests, she was enrolled in the Boris Shchukin Institute. It would seem that the path to the stars is open.

But her first love remained in Chelyabinsk. The first feelings were so strong that Anna left Moscow and returned home. In the capital, the girl also missed her younger sister Sasha, with whom she always had not just family, but friendly ties.

Since 2003, the beautiful young lady has become a student at the Faculty of Theatre, Film and Television of the Chelyabinsk State Academy of Culture and Arts.

TV presenter work

Even in his student years, the young talent tries his hand at television. For three years (from 2006 to 2008) she has been one of the TV presenters of the STS-Chelyabinsk channel. Her successes in the television field did not go unnoticed - in 2007, a young television star of Chelyabinsk scale won the “Best Television Presenter” nomination.

2008 brought Anna a higher education diploma and confronted her with a choice of what to do next. Having conquered the Chelyabinsk peaks, the young girl decided to reach other heights.

The offer to become the host of a television program in St. Petersburg turned out to be opportune and made Anna happy, since her younger sister was also leaving for the city on the Neva to study at the university. The sisters' joy at not having to be separated made them happy.

Adult life turned out to be not as sweet as it looked from the heights of Chelyabinsk - the TV channel, which promised long-term cooperation, ceased to exist. Anna did not want to court others; she dreamed of roles in theater and cinema. She participated in various castings for actresses in St. Petersburg, but the door was constantly closed in front of her.

Possessing a strong character, Anna Peskova did not shy away, did not give up, and happiness smiled on her. One of the St. Petersburg directors not only took her resume, but also called her back a few weeks later and invited her to audition for the series “A Word to a Woman.”

Anna withstood enormous competition, received her first film role and believed even more strongly in her calling. Peskova did not miss the chance given by fate - the image of Anna’s secretary brought her fame and recognition.

Conquest of the capital

In 2013, the actress made a second attempt to conquer Moscow - she moved to the capital, where she was not left without work. She acted in films, lent her voice to foreign films, mastered other professions in cinema, and furnished a new apartment, which she purchased in 2020. According to Peskova, Moscow is exactly the city in which she feels charged and strong.

The actress brings additional joy from living in the capital by the fact that both her sister Alexandra and her close friend Liza Shmakova also live here.

Anna Peskova showed her acting skills in the films “Rust”, “Pregnancy Test”, “Love for Love”. In 2020, viewers saw her in the series “Family Values,” in which the actress played the main role, reincarnating as the ballerina Tatyana Goreeva. To look convincing, Anna learned to stand on pointe shoes and did ballet exercises.

Anna tries to take care of herself; she is quite petite, her height is 1.6 meters. She maintains her physical fitness by cycling in the warm season and skiing in the winter. Fulfilling all the director’s requirements on the set independently, without resorting to the help of understudies, is one of the actress’s “tricks”.

In addition to acting, Peskova also tried herself as a producer - together with director Oksana Karas, she presented the film “Good Boy,” which won at Kinotavr in 2020.

2017 presented viewers with the melodrama “Boomerang”, where Anna Peskova plays the role of Dasha Lebedeva, a young heroine with a difficult fate. In this film, there was a place for the actress’s choreographic abilities, since her heroine dreams of connecting her future with ballet.

And the NTV channel, in February 2020, launched the series “Five Minutes of Silence,” which tells about the work and fate of Emergency Situations Ministry employees. In this series, Peskova got the role of a doctor.

INTERVIEW

About Me

“I like to read, take photographs, watch good films and visit exhibitions. Whenever possible, I try to go to the gym regularly. This is a great place to keep yourself in shape, where sometimes you can even chat with colleagues who also often drop by there. And, of course, I try to go to such pleasant procedures as a bathhouse and a swimming pool.”

“I’m a perfectionist, and it’s important for me to do the best I can on set without resorting to stuntmen.”

“I would never do anything in my life that goes against my conscience.”

Life position

“I categorically do not accept it when a person goes with the flow and does not try to change his life, blaming circumstances for everything. A person’s happiness is in his hands: you can’t sit and wait for the weather by the sea! You need to work, strive, dream and go towards your goal. This is the only way you can succeed as a person.”

About inspiration

“We either have inspiration from life or we don’t. This, as they say, comes from God, from nature, from parents... We can maintain this energy in ourselves by simply admiring the beauty or enjoying the talented things that someone creates. It’s important to just live and remember that this life is fleeting, and we should be happy that for now we have all this.”

Actress Anna Peskova: “In our profession we must not lose self-awareness...”

We met actress Anna Peskova in a cozy French cafe , one of her favorite places. It was here that Anna once came in the company of her colleagues to celebrate the end of filming and simply fell in love with this place. Now she makes all the important meetings for her here.

Actress of the TV series “Pregnancy Test”, “Moscow. , “High Cuisine” and many others , told us about her creative plans and what she loves most in her life. But first things first…

Hello Anna. Tell us about your immediate creative plans. What are you working on now?

Just recently we finished shooting a teaser for the full-length film “We Won’t Say Goodbye” by my very good friend, director, with whom I already worked several years ago on one of the projects for the Russia 1 TV channel, Pavel Drozdov. He is currently working on a feature film, for which he wrote the script himself. This is a film about the beginning of the war, 1941. The teaser was filmed in Tver: we shot stunningly beautiful footage of equipment, military personnel... I really hope that next year we will shoot a full-length film, which will be released in all cinemas in the country.

Will this film be dedicated to some event, date, for example, May 9?

I don’t know if we will have time to film everything and finish everything, but we will hope.

Anna, you already have a lot of roles, but is there anything else you would like to play?

I really love historical films. There you can plunge into the past, come into contact with that culture, era, some features of life that no longer exist. After all, society, people, habits - everything changes from year to year. Now we walk differently, we look different, so immersing ourselves in another era is an unforgettable experience. And in my filmography there is a project “Love for Love” - a film by Sergei Ashkenazy based on the novel by Stefan Zweig - where we play together with Maxim Matveev, Sergei Shakurov, Alexei Guskov, Mikhail Porechenkov, Irina Vinogradova. Besides everything, there were amazing costumes that were made especially for us. I had about 7-8 outfits, and one such dress cost about 100,000 rubles, and the true spirit of that era was recreated in the smallest detail.

I also love war films and am looking forward to starting work on the film “We Won’t Say Goodbye.” Also, I would like to star in an action-adventure film, which would provide new opportunities for professional development, since I have never had such projects before.

Where do you find inspiration for yourself? Who supports you in your profession?

This is, of course, my family and friends. My relatives live in different parts of the world, and I don’t get to see them very often; we meet during vacations and travels. And I really love all my friends with whom we find time in Moscow to meet each other, despite our mutual busyness and traffic jams.

I find inspiration in travel, in good films, in interesting books. Lately I’ve been reading a lot of scripts, which means I have less time for books, but despite this, I still try to find it to read something from the classics or get to know modern writers.

What genre of literature do you prefer? What would you recommend reading from the latest?

I love light, inspiring books, not to say adventure books, but inspiring. To want to open the book and go to the places that were described in it, or, after reading, to look at your life in some other way.

What really inspires me and which I treat with great reverence are the books of Anna Gavalda, which I have recently re-read all of. She is easy to read, but at the same time her books carry deep meaning and serious thoughts. I really like Gabriel Garcia Marquez. It’s probably not worth naming something specific to recommend reading, because everyone has different preferences in literature, and what I like doesn’t necessarily have to please someone else. But we should all definitely re-read the classics from time to time! Especially Russian.

Anna, you say that you love to travel, but which country inspires you most?

I love Italy very much, a country that I want to return to again and again, and each time discover it from a new side. I have a particularly close relationship with France, because my mother lives there, among other things. This summer, while traveling around Provence, I saw incredibly beautiful lavender fields for the first time. I'm still impressed.

Travel is an integral part of me. There are a lot of places in the world that you definitely need to visit, be inspired and enjoy their beauty. Each country is beautiful in its own way. And every city is special. Here is the same France, Paris is one thing, but Rouen is completely different, Deauville, Trouville, Marseille. The further you move, the more diverse it becomes. And I also love skiing.

Every actor has a role that you play once and become so imbued with it that then you begin to live in this character for a long time. Do you have such a role?

It’s better not to do this, not to live with the character, leaving him on the set. You need to get used to people. During filming, especially if it’s on location, we all live like one big family, draw inspiration from those people who are nearby, and become like family to each other. And when it all ends, naturally, it becomes very sad. But this is the natural course of things.

Another thing is that you get used to the role and suddenly begin to turn into your character in real life. Here you need to be aware that this is just your job, and under no circumstances should you take it on yourself! All these habits, traits, features are not yours, but the hero’s that the screenwriter came up with. When the phrase “Stop! Cut!” you need to exhale, say “thank you,” rest for a day or two and move on. As soon as you start to turn into a character, this is the first bell, you need to shake yourself up and realize what happened. I knew stories when artists could not get out of this state on their own, and had to turn to professionals for help. To maintain yourself in our profession, you must not lose self-awareness.

Anna, you are probably often asked about this, but you never talk about your personal life. Do you hide it carefully?

Yes, personal life is really something that should not be advertised.

But I would still like to lift the veil a little. Have a fan?

Eat. (laughs)

But as for the fans of your work. Still a beautiful girl, an actress. Do they wait under the windows, at the entrance with flowers, or meet you after filming?

I don’t tell you where I live, so such situations don’t arise, but nowadays, with all the gadgets we have, there’s no problem writing a letter or sending a postcard. I receive them in large quantities, especially from other cities. And I am always very pleased with this, it means that my work is not in vain...

Anna, as far as I know, before becoming an actress, you worked as a TV presenter for some time. Would you like to return to this profession?

I would love to return to television, and I always remember with pleasant nostalgia the times when I worked on TNT.

Which of today's TV projects would you like to try yourself in?

The “Together with Dolphins” project is very interesting, exciting and even life-affirming. I would also love to take part in the show “Lost.” There, in extreme conditions, you can learn a lot about yourself. One of the most impressive tests is when you have to eat insects that are almost alive. But in normal life I don’t even eat seafood; it always seems raw to me. Therefore, a project built on overcoming my fears would help me cope with this and understand that I am capable of more!

How does the moment of meeting between the actor and the director take place? How are roles approved?

Lately I have become more selective about roles. I want more complex professional tasks, I’m ready for it. And I wouldn’t like to repeat myself in scenarios; I strive to move on.

I remember, on the eve of leaving Chelyabinsk, I received a television award as the best TV presenter. For my hometown, this was an incredibly high level in my career, and in order to develop further, I had to move. I wanted something more promising. The more complex, the more interesting. Therefore, when the opportunity presented itself to move to St. Petersburg, when they offered an interesting job there, I immediately agreed, I understood that this was a huge responsibility and a great prospect for me.

As far as I remember, it was in St. Petersburg that you had your very first major role. You met your fellow countryman who approved you for it. This is a gift of fate. Have there been any other fateful meetings or roles in your life?

Yes, filming the TV series “Pregnancy Test” was fateful. Thanks to them, I finally moved to Moscow. Although the series itself was filmed in St. Petersburg, initially the auditions were here in Moscow, and it was then that I began to receive more and more offers to film in the capital and realized: this is a sign, I need to move here. And I’m glad that everything turned out this way.

The theater and ballet have their own behind-the-scenes intrigues, but does anything similar happen in the acting environment?

It's completely different in the movies. Here you are approved for the role, you sign a contract and work. Nobody puts a spoke in the wheels! On the other hand, there are also difficulties: you go through each casting “from scratch.”

Are there such strict contract conditions in cinema as, for example, in show business?

Yes, of course, everything is spelled out in the contract. There are mandatory conditions that must not be violated under any circumstances. For example, you agree to live away from home during filming, realizing that you won’t see your family for a very long time. For example, when we filmed “Family Values,” I lived in Minsk for seven months.

Anna, what is your secret to success?

I like to give my best, I like to work honestly, I never allow myself to slack. Discipline is important for an actor, as well as love for your work. Here, for example, is the historical project that I talked about, the film “Love for Love” - I starred in it for free, because it is a different specificity, it is self-development.

How did your parents initially react to your choice of profession?

Despite the fact that my parents do not work in the acting environment, they are creative people: my mother is an art critic, musician and candidate of philosophical sciences, my father is an energy engineer, but he is an excellent photographer - and they fully supported me in choosing a profession, for which I am very grateful to them grateful.

Does your mother have a favorite movie with your participation?

I know my mom will be watching Pregnancy Test today. This is her favorite series. And it also coincided that it also comes out on her birthday. And, despite the fact that we live in different countries - I am in Russia, and she is in France - I will be to some extent next to her, albeit from the TV screen.

That’s how she is, multifaceted actress Anna Peskova, beautiful and smart!
