Biography
Irina Medvedeva is originally from the Mogilev region. As a child, the girl was involved in athletics, attended a dance studio and music school, and took classical and pop vocal lessons. In high school she took part in amateur performances and competitions. By the end of my studies, I was torn between the desire to become an actress or a singer. When she arrived in Minsk to apply to the Belarusian State Academy of Arts, she learned that the vocal and pop department had a high passing grade. Because of her uncertainty, the girl decided to enter the theater department and only after the first exam she learned that the competition for this field was even higher. Fortunately, she was accepted into the academy. In 2003, Irina received the specialty “Dramatic Theater and Film Actress”.

Theatrical art here is associated with cinematography. I can play on stage with rain, storm, fly through the mountains, drive retro cars. And, of course, I am very interested in plunging into the history of the 30s of the twentieth century and playing the historical character Pola Negri - a Hollywood star of the era of a little cinema from youth to maturity. I think this musical will end up in theater textbooks. I’m very impressed by this myself.” Since 2013 he has been performing in productions of the Army Theater. Education
By the time she graduated from school, actress Irina Medvedeva had already firmly decided to enter the Belarusian Academy of Arts. Initially, she intended to give preference to the vocal and pop department, but she was embarrassed by the big competition. Irina made a choice in favor of the theater department, which she did not have to regret. On her first try, she became a student at the academy.
The years of study flew by in an instant. Medvedev received a diploma from the Belarusian Academy of Arts in 2003. For several months, the aspiring actress performed on the stage of the Belarusian Army Theater. Then the lack of prospects forced her to decide to move to Moscow.
Cinema
In 1999, Irina Medvedeva made her film debut - she got the episodic role of a Komsomol girl in the Russian-Belarusian TV series “Accelerated Help.” Two years later, she starred in its sequel. Then the actress took part in the short film “Romance of Lovers” and the comedy “Hero of Our Time.”

Medvedeva created the image of Polina Orlova in the comedy series “Swallow’s Nest,” which aired on the Rossiya 1 channel in 2011. Plot: For sixteen-year-old school graduate Ida, there was no one closer and dearer than her mother Svetlana. But suddenly Ida’s whole life collapses: her mother dies suddenly and leaves her daughter in the care of her narrow-minded and cruel sister. After the death of her mother, Ida firmly decides to become a doctor in order to save people. "Mistakes of Love"
In 2012, the actress received an invitation from director Maria Snezhnaya to the melodrama “Mistakes of Love,” where she appeared in the role of Zinaida, Lesha’s mother. Plot: The trouble with businesswomen is that they put “business” in first place and only “woman” in second place. The heroine of this story, in her business worries, does not notice that she is losing the closest person - her beloved husband. But, fortunately, there is New Year's Eve with its miracles and the opportunity to correct any mistakes, even mistakes of love. Also starring in the film: Anna Nevskaya, Yan Tsapnik, Maxim Litovchenko, Elena Valyushkina.
"The Husband of a Happy Woman"
A year later, Irina, in the leading role of Irina Alexandrovna, was involved in the film “The Husband of a Happy Woman” by Vladimir Kilburg. Plot: Alexander is a strong, confident man. He's 40 years old. Life is good: a good job in a security agency and a beautiful wife.
But one day the wife comes home with a luxurious bouquet of flowers. And the next day she disappears, leaving a note in which she writes that “she went to her mother... I need to live separately for a while.” Alexander is shocked: his wife has always been his “reliable support”! What's happening?! Her partners on the set were: Mikhail Mamaev, Lyubov Germanova, Sergei Kolesnikov, Ilya Sokolovsky, Alexander Pashutin. In 2020, Medvedeva worked in Andrei Sokolov’s family melodrama “Memory of Autumn,” and then in the comedy “The Adventures of a Crazy Professor.”
Films and television
Almost immediately after entering the theater university, Irina Medvedeva began collaborating with television. First, the girl starred in the video clip for the song “Yes!” disco singer Sergei Minaev, and then began hosting the Velcom SMS TOP10 show program on the First Music Channel.
In the spring of 2004, the girl participated in the reality show “Faculty of Humor” on the Ren-TV channel and reached the finals, where she beat other competitors. It was on this project that Irina met people who soon invited the actress to the new humorous show “Dear Program.”

Medvedeva has always been sensitive to romantic relationships. While still in Minsk, she met actor and singer Ruslan Alekhno, known for his participation in the project “People’s Artist 2”. “I like free flight. Nobody dictates anything to me from the outside. I can choose what I will be involved in, look at the script, the team, the director... If the project “hooks” me, then I will go to it for three kopecks. And if not, then you won’t be able to lure me with a lot of money. Now, with the acquisition of experience, I already feel a certain strength in myself as a dramatic actress, I am convinced that I can do a lot. Even if some people still perceive me as an actress of the comedy genre, this is also a compliment, since it is more difficult to make people laugh than to make them cry, everyone knows this. And a woman and humor are even more incompatible things. But I’m glad that I don’t have a role as such, and a wide variety of offers come to me. As you can see, God has put everything in its place. We don't always want what we really need. Now I don’t wish for anything and gratefully accept what fate gives me. I trust her. But if we talk about my preferences, then there is the idea of playing Tatiana in Onegin... Let’s see how it turns out.”

“I have never strived for great fame and big money, they always have a negative side. Recognition is a plus when solving bureaucratic issues, in a hospital, on the road, and just like that, on the street, it’s a burden. People even ask me for autographs abroad. Although, it would seem, what did I do so special?! But such a situation means that you always have to be in shape, on alert, cannot relax and live like in a reality show that can end at any moment. As for money, there should be enough of it. It is important for me that my life is comfortable. That's why I change cars every three years and do this not because of whim, but so as not to rush around to repair services. Then for a long time I wandered without money in rented living spaces, was constantly in limbo, suffered from emotional instability - falling asleep, I thought: what if tomorrow I lose my job and they ask me to vacate the premises, go outside, into the cold... It is clear that I already dreamed of purchasing my own corner in the capital in order to have a protected rear. First, I bought a small apartment in a building with a gloomy, dark courtyard, where my car windows were broken, and I realized that, firstly, I needed more space, and secondly, a house with security. I spent a year looking for an acceptable option, but in the end I found it. Now from my window there is a stunning view of Serebryany Bor. In addition, the house is perfectly maintained: if anything happens, an electrician, a plumber, etc. come immediately. And how nice it is to enter a well-kept entrance, then go up to your beautiful apartment!.. My cousin Olesya helped me with the design. I sketched out roughly what I wanted, told her that I gravitate towards a classic style, interspersed with Provence, adapted to the urban lifestyle. Much of my work is custom-made – doors, kitchen. There are two fireplaces, although they are not real... For six months, while touring, I made repairs by phone and the Internet. I ordered tiles, asked to send me a diagram of the sockets, the craftsmen called me early in the morning with questions... It was hell, but now, crossing the threshold, I see that my suffering was not in vain.”

The most difficult thing in life with a person of a different nationality is... his Russification. The sooner you start this process, the better. Speak our language, introduce us to traditions, feed us fish soup and pickle soup, in the end! I follow everything exactly, but sometimes Guillaume and I cannot understand each other. For example, many French, including him, are 100 percent sure that in the War of 1812 victory was on their side. And to my question, where did the conclusion come from, he answers: “Well, we took Moscow!” And there is no point in arguing...

The habit I want to get rid of is... strive on the first day of the week to start a new life, one in which I will definitely do yoga, run in the morning and give up junk food. Oh, I wish I could cancel Mondays, like in that song, so that I could stop placing empty hopes on them.
I’ll be very surprised if… the president sends me an SMS. We know that he doesn’t even have a mobile phone, therefore, how can he write to me?!
The last time I blushed was because... I was late for my flight and ran through the entire airport. It looked like boiled crayfish! After that, I decided that when traveling long distances, I would always leave the house 15 minutes earlier in order to calmly go through passport control and luggage check.
I have a tip... to sit on the script if you drop it. However, all actors do this. It is believed that if this is not done, the project will not take place. She performed a similar maneuver in different places - airliners, trains... Sometimes people looked like she was crazy. But nothing, Faina Georgievna Ranevskaya even landed in a puddle after a valuable document ended up there. Probably, those around me were also pretty surprised, so I, too, will endure sidelong glances.

I don’t take a trolleybus because... I travel by car. And in Paris, by the way, I have an electric car - practically a trolleybus, only for one passenger. But you won’t meet the conductor! I live in two countries, so I often visit the capital of France. I go shopping there, learn the language, go for walks and meet with friends.
I could never play... the main character from “The Master and Margarita”: far from mystical characters. Although, thanks to the “6 Frames” project, it seems to me that I am now capable of anything. Whoever you had to transform yourself into - as they say, from an iron to a homeless person.
When I turn 80, I will... settle down somewhere in Italy - in a villa with a beautiful view. I will drink wine and eat delicious pizza, and go to a disco in the evening.
I will be angry with a person if he... lies to me. I immediately erase such people, “composing” people, from my life.
I won’t go into the elevator if... a suspicious guy is waiting for him with me . I’ll pretend that the phone is ringing and I need to answer it urgently.
I don’t have a helicopter because... my husband will soon buy a plane.
Men are wrong to think that any lady... dreams of becoming the wife of a prince and living in a castle. Where do these stereotypes come from? In fact, three rubles in the Central Administrative District of Moscow are enough for us. So, guys, if you have met your ideal, go to the bank for a mortgage, and you will be happy!
