Noize MC: “Standing on stage, I’m afraid that my mother will come and wake me up...”

Noize MC (Noise MC) is a rather scandalous and incredibly talented person, while many people think that he is a foreign singer and actor. Few people know that behind the sonorous pseudonym lies an ordinary Smolensk guy, Ivan Aleksandrovich Alekseev.

The young man became known for his interesting musical compositions. In which notes of rock and rap music are closely intertwined with recitative and freestyle. At the same time, Noize MC is a caring father and an exemplary family man; he claims that he is not going to destroy his quiet happiness even for the sake of loud fame or a dizzying career.

Height, weight, age. How old is Noize MC (Noise MC)

Fans strive not only to understand who is hiding behind the sonorous pseudonym, but also to clarify his height, weight, and age. It won’t be difficult to find out how old Noize MC is, so the information will be reliable.

Ivan Alekseev was born in 1985, so he is already thirty-two years old. It’s still too early to talk about what Noize MC is like: photos in his youth and now, since the guy is too young and has no plans to get out of childhood yet.

The zodiac circle is able to give Ivan the sign of inspired, dreamy, slightly insecure and creative Pisces. At the same time, the eastern horoscope is able to endow a young man with character traits characteristic of Oxen, including efficiency, stability, perseverance, a penchant for creativity and artistry.

Noize MC's height is currently one meter and eighty-five centimeters, and the young man weighs only 78 kilograms.

Professional activity

After completing his first year at the university, Ivan created a new musical group, “Protivo Gunz,” whose members were students from the dormitory of the Humanitarian University.

After the third year he moved to an apartment (in the Old Arbat area). He continues to work with the group “Protivo Gunz”, with which he performs on the streets, experimenting with various musical genres, and also tours the country for about a year. Since 2005, Ivan's popularity has expanded when he won the Snickers Guru Klan street battle, and later became a host and jury member at the Snickers Urbania music festival.

Ivan became famous in 2008, when he became the personification of the rebellion of the working class. On July 13, 1013, the artist signed a contract with Universal Music Russia, which became a very important event in his career.

Ivan writes his songs not for everyone, but for his circle, whose opinion is interesting to him. He earns a lot of money, his actions cause public outcry and hundreds of thousands of comments on the Internet. At his concerts, fans like the following songs the most: “It’s Cool on Mars,” “Exhale,” “Swearing from Behind the Wall.”

Today the group “Protivo Gunz” performs under the brand “Noize MC”. The ensemble today includes:

  • Ivan Alekseev (Noize MC – vocalist, keyboardist and guitarist);
  • Alexander Kislinsky (“Kisly” – backing vocalist, bass guitarist;
  • Zinoviev Vladimir (percussion, drums);
  • Shot aka (DJ Stufford – backing vocalist, guitarist, and also responsible for sampling, beatboxing and scratching).

At large concerts, the group also includes a saxophonist, trumpeter, cellist, trumpeter and violinist.

Today, eight studio albums and eleven singles have been released under the “Noize MC” brand. From 2006 to 2020, Ivan, under his own brand, released a large number of different videos for his compositions. His first video was shot for the song “Song on the Radio” (2006, MTM).

Some of the latest videos in 2020 are: “Voice & Strings”, “Without Us” and “In the Dark”. Ivan also participated in many officially released tracks by other artists. In 2018, “Noize MC” released its eighth studio album entitled “Hiphopera: Orpheus & Eurydice.”

Noize MC is the winner of many competitions, battles, awards and festivals. Ivan’s filmography today includes 10 works in 6 film projects , in which he participated not only as an actor, but also as a producer, composer and screenwriter. Among the films in which the artist starred are the films “Practice”, “Baby”, “About Love”.

Most often, Ivan rejects offers to participate in new film projects, since he does not see film plots that are interesting to him. I would like to participate in serious, real and deep films.

In 2020 he performed concerts in the USA and Canada. Noize MC's battles are not interesting today. He no longer participates in them. At the moment he is trying to improve, move forward and write new songs.

Also in 2020, Ivan took part in the “vDud” program on the YouTube channel. Ivan openly spoke to Yuri Dud not only about creativity and battles, but also shared how he dealt with the death of his mother and how he was able to survive depression.

He loves going to Zemfira’s concerts and considers her one of the coolest Russian-speaking artists. He also considers the group “Anacondaz” to be talented guys. I like what singer Ivan Dorn creates. Ivan considers Oksimiron, Skryptonit and ATL to be the best rappers in Russia.

Biography and personal life of Noize MC (Noise MC)

The biography and personal life of Noize MC (Noise MC) are areas that the guy does not reveal too much, but does not hide from his fans. His father, Alexander Alekseev, a musician, and his mother, a chemist, were forced to divorce when the boy turned nine.

At the same time, the guy never felt disadvantaged in anything and did not suffer from a lack of fatherly attention. Vanya wrote wonderful poems and songs, he independently mastered the guitar and, only later, was accepted into a music school.

Already living with his mother in Belgorod, Ivan constantly participated in music competitions, taking first and second places. It is worth clarifying that he tried to join some musical group, but did not stay in them for long, so he created his own group at the age of thirteen.

In those years, young people were fans of the work of the groups Nirvana and The Prodigy, who also liked the future Noize MC (Noise MC). At the same time, the guy and his classmates wrote rap and played in their own musical group. “Face2Face”, which quickly became popular in the city and region thanks to frequent performances.

After graduating from school in 2002, the young man moved to Moscow, where he became a student at the Russian State University for the Humanities and lived in a dormitory. Here he could not sit idle and created the team “Protivo Gunz”, which took part in freestyle battles and toured the country.

The first album was recorded in 2006, and with the funds won in the Urban Sound competition they were able to shoot the first video, which, like all subsequent ones, was incredibly provocative.

Since 2008, he has played in three films - “The Prank”, “Baby”, “About Love”, and has also released thirty-two full-length albums, singles and collections. As for music videos, an incredible number of them were filmed.

The most interesting thing is that the group “Protivo Gunz” with its frontman Noize MC (Noise MC) already celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2013, so it is preparing to star in a film about its work.

Ivan never ceases to get into scandalous stories; he is capable of very extravagant acts, for example, going on stage naked or throwing syringes filled with energy drinks into the audience. At the same time, Noize MC (Noise MC) or Ivan Alekseev is a person with a stable personal life, he does not start whirlwind romances and does not cheat on his beloved wife. He devotes all his free time to his wife, children and active recreation, while the guy has been working out for a long time and loves to cook for his family.

Childhood and youth

Ivan was born and spent his early childhood in the city of Yartsevo. The boy's father was a musician by training, his mother a chemist. When Ivan was nine years old, his parents divorced, after which only his mother took charge of raising the boy. Ivan went to first grade in 1992 at mathematics school No. 9 in the city of Yartsevo, where he studied until 1997 (before moving).

From the age of eight, Ivan began to try to write his first poems. At the age of ten he began to take an active interest in music and from 1995-1997 studied at the music school in the city of Yartsevo, class in classical guitar.

At the age of 11, Ivan and his mother moved to another city - Belgorod, where the teenager continued his music studies. He received his musical education in guitar class at the Belgorod School of Arts, from 1997 to 2001. In 1998 and 2000, he took first place in the regional competition for young musicians.

In the city of Belgorod, he continued his secondary education at the Humanitarian Lyceum No. 10, from 1997 to 2002. Ivan's idols were members of the group Nirvana, as well as the group The Prodigy.

Already at the age of 13, the young man formed his first rock band. At the age of 15 he became a member of the group “Levers of Machines”, where he was a backing vocalist and bass guitarist. Tries to write rap compositions. Later he was a member of the hip-hop group “VIP” (there were four members).

In 2000, they released the disc “Thinking About You.” Together with his classmate Arkady (Adik 228), he creates the rap duet “Face2Face” . It was then that Ivan began performing under the pseudonym Noize MC. Together, young people take part in various concerts, festivals and competitions. The rap duo released three discs: “If you don’t like it, don’t eat it!” (2002), "Lyrics of White Walls" (2002) and "13 Frames". In 2001, the young man successfully graduated from music school.

In 2002 he graduated from secondary school with a gold medal.

In the same year, Ivan leaves the group and goes to Moscow, where he enrolls as a full-time student at one of the leading universities - the State Humanitarian University (RGGU) at the Faculty of Informatics in the Department of Information Technology. In 2007 he graduated from university and received a specialist diploma.

Family and children Noize MC (Noise MC)

Family and children Noize MC (Noise MC) are his support and hope. He adores his parents and children, constantly dedicating song compositions to them. He grew up in a family where musical notation and chemical elements coexisted, since lyrics were so closely intertwined with chemistry.

All members of the small Alekseev family lived incredibly friendly, and the guy’s creative impulses were noticed, supported and developed from a very early age. At the same time, the boy was a frequent guest at his father’s concerts and rehearsals, so he learned to play the guitar and sing early.

The children of Noize MC (Noise MC) are his two sons, of whom he is very proud. But he is in no hurry to show it to his fans and admirers, so as not to harm them. The fact is that Ivan Alekseev wants to give his boys the opportunity to grow up self-sufficient and bright, without getting bogged down in the shadow of their famous father.

Noize MC is not only a creative and famous person who is busy with his musical career, but also a great caring father. With his children, he relapses into childhood, so he loves to draw and visit various amusement parks with interactive attractions.

The children’s mother constantly reads to them; the Alekseevs’ house has a huge library of children’s literature.

Noize MC: “How many police officers does it take to prevent a Noize MC concert?”

"Noize MC started a nuclear war." “The scandalous Noize MC will perform the “heroin” anthem.” “Noize MC concerts are required to be canceled throughout Russia.” Judging by the loud headlines of tabloids of all stripes, musical public enemy No. 1 is now a graduate of the Russian State University for the Humanities Ivan Alekseev - aka Noize MC, whose witty recitative accompanied by loud guitar fuzz is liked by hundreds of thousands of Russian schoolchildren and students.

Denis Boyarinov met with Noize MC, who recently celebrated his 30th anniversary, learned how his concerts in the provinces were being cancelled, and listened to a new song in English.

— How long ago did you start composing and singing in English? Did it all start with a duet with Astronautalis?

— Before it, a joint track with Fred Durst (frontman of Limp Bizkit. — Ed.) was supposed to be released. I found myself in a situation where I had to try my best and make a track in English. I did - I wrote a verse and a chorus, but Fred was in no hurry to write his verse. He never wrote it, although we talked on the phone and Fred said that he liked the song. And I started writing more.

— Is it easy to write rap in English?

- It’s getting easier and easier. The songs are written surprisingly quickly. I already have about five English songs for a mini-album. While you write songs, you learn the language well. You will learn new expressions.

- Where?

— From the texts of foreign rappers on the RapGenius website — I look at current metaphors there, but more often I try to use the literary version of the English language — books, articles. Wikipedia is fun to read in English.

Back in college, I started translating Eminem and writing in English; it was interesting to reach that level when you begin to feel the language. I really liked the band Non Phixion - they have such a gloomy, dystopian social theme in their lyrics, sci-fi plots and a heroically detached presentation. Well, the buzzing guitars sometimes slip through, which, of course, also appeals to me. Rap in English is a huge untrodden field: other metaphors, unused allegories, some things that are only possible in English. It's like you've only played Lego before and now you get another construction set.

I'll record an English-language EP for now. So Obama sent a new iPhone, a list of topics and some money.

— They say that it is more difficult to write a song in Russian.

- There is such a thing. In English, a lot of words rhyme. There are much more rhymes, and it is easier to create double rhyme. Most English-language texts break off. I just read an analysis of a Kendrick Lamar song and was absolutely horrified. Dudes, how so? Almost all your words rhyme, why do you rhyme “water” and “you” - in this style? This message upsets me.

I like rappers who can build conceptual lyrics. Where it’s not just a set of words - this and that, back and forth. There's too much of this kind of rap. I like Yelawolf - by the way, he is a protégé of Eminem, he is such a modern Everlast. He has several interesting short releases, but the coolest one - his first big work - has not yet been released.

— What kind of rap do you like musically?

— I really love the guitar alternative with recitative - the most diverse. I started with a passion for Nirvana - I was learning to play the guitar at the time and memorized several of their albums almost completely. Then there was the Prodigy period, then hip-hop - and in hip-hop for a long time I was interested in guitar only in its classical form, only in the form of samples. And then the alternative wave of the late 1990s and early 2000s came - all this motherfucker with a rap bias, and it really caught on. It was a time when we were all living in a dorm and wanted to play the kind of music that was the soundtrack of our lives. We end up carrying it further.

— What are your English songs about? Doesn't language change the topic?

— Language changes embodiment. Thematically, they continue the line of the album “Hard Reboot” - a person on the verge of serious changes. There are several dystopian motifs.

— “Hard Reboot” included the caustic satire “Come $ome All, or Totalitarian Trap” - a song in the spirit of “ Mercedes S 666 .

— It turned out so cleverly that I wrote this song just like that. And we released it when the Communist Party of the Russian Federation demanded to ban the performances of certain artists in Russia, allegedly because of their position on Ukraine - including mine. The Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper asked me for a comment, and instead of a comment I sent them this song. This happens to me often - I write something for myself, and after a while it suddenly becomes relevant. For example, the song “Behind a Closed Door” about signing a contract with Universal was composed in the dorm - before I signed a contract with Universal. And then it all really happened.

— What’s going on with your tours in Russia now? Are there any cancellations?

- They happen from time to time. On the initiative of different groups of the population. Everywhere different social strata and structures react. Somewhere it’s the Federal Drug Control Service, somewhere the FSB, somewhere the Department of Economic Crimes, somewhere it’s indignant civil activists, somewhere it’s the police. Wide range. It seems that in each region they want to show me their own special authority. “Here, Ivan, meet me, there are still such people, they come and fuck your brains” (laughs).

We played five songs, and then an “astronaut” with a machine gun climbed onto the stage.

The most significant case was in Krasnoyarsk. I was simply shocked - how many people do you need to gather in uniform to prevent the performance of the terrible and terrible Noize MC? We were met at the carriage by 7 policemen who began to closely check our documents. It was the transport police - supposedly the problem was that our director had an incorrectly issued ticket. Then we arrived at the club where we were supposed to perform, and it turned out that the police had already arrived there too and we were forbidden to hold a concert. And they said: we know that in Omsk you were able to perform in another place - it won’t work out that way for us. When we moved the concert to another venue, the police came there too, prevented the sound check and issued a warning that if there was a concert, a squad would come and take everyone away. This club was located in a multi-storey building, where there was a hotel and several entertainment venues - there were two policemen on each floor. The police interrogated the girl at the reception, the bartenders, the hostesses, and the list goes on. Poor guys who were forced to work on their days off. I don’t know how many police officers it takes to screw in a light bulb, but it takes a lot to stop a Noize MC performance. Preferably with machine guns and a dog.

It was also funny in Samara: we played five songs, and then an “astronaut” with a machine gun climbs onto the stage, a second policeman - in civilian clothes - comes on stage, shows his badge, quickly (apparently from experience in covering raves) runs to the DJ and shouts : “Turn off the music.” And he answers: “But nothing plays for me, I only have scratches.” At this time I start playing the riff from “Smoke Bamboo”, the guys pick it up, and the audience sings: “I’m trash, a very important character” (laughs).

— Well, the real punk rock happens at your concerts. Almost like the Sex Pistols .

- Yes, all that remains is to fight with the cowboys. Seriously though, you can, of course, be invigorated, but it still gets boring.

“In addition, you, the father of two children, suffer a blow to the family budget with each cancellation of a concert.

— Since last fall, 60% of our concerts have not taken place.

- Why do you think all this is happening - you’ve had several clashes with law enforcement agencies?

— These cancellations specifically occur because of the performance in Lviv and the incident when they handed me the Ukrainian flag. But activists in Krasnodar caught on to the ensuing stunt when I went naked on stage with the band Anacondaz. Scare little children who don't sleep at two in the morning and listen to obscene songs of naked people.

I never claimed that all police are bad people. It's just that assholes are always more noticeable.

- When will this stop and what can you do about it?

- Don't know. I'll record an English-language EP for now. So Obama sent a new iPhone, a list of topics and some money (laughs).

What to do? We must continue to be creative. At first I was creative in extreme conditions. I will continue to do it in the future - even if the conditions become even more extreme.

— Well, in personal communication, the police, who are charged with preventing Noize MC concerts, what attitude do they show towards you?

— I recently had a meeting with a good policeman. I was riding a scooter somewhere along a subway crossing. You can’t ride a scooter on the subway, but I somehow sped up and saw a policeman coming after me. Such a smiling man. He comes down the escalator, stands in front of me and says: “Vanya, it’s you, right?” “Yes,” I answer. Him: “How are you doing? Do you see any Russian rappers? Well, aren’t you offended by us?” I say: no, I’m not offended by you, it depends on the person (laughs). I never claimed that all police are bad people. It's just that assholes are always more noticeable because they are more active.

There was also a funny incident in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk - many police officers and FSB officers came to the concert. Among them were ladies in uniform, who at first stood with a stern look and watched, and by the middle of the concert they took out their mobile phones and began filming videos (laughs).

Will Smith looked at the news feed about me on his smartphone and did not read the freestyle with me.

— But you’re really violating the law of the Russian Federation, because you have a lot of songs with obscene language. What do you do in a situation when a squad of police comes to your concert?

- We have a lot of songs - different programs and playlists are possible. If we need to speak without swearing, we can do it that way. Moreover, these are not love ballads and slow songs. For example, in the song “Arrange Destroy” there is no profanity, and in the song “Singer and Actress” there is no profanity either.

- But in other hits there is.

— And all of me are hits. If something is not a hit, then I simply don’t finish the song.

— Do you always perform the song “Dancing” (a cover of “Vopli Vidoplyasov”, during the performance of which in Lviv Noize MC held out the Ukrainian flag. - Ed.) at concerts?

- Necessarily. This is one of the most soulful numbers at the concert - dancing with the audience who climbs onto the stage. There's a lot of stage diving going on on this song because I'm without a guitar and there's no danger of hitting someone in the head with the fretboard.

— Are you no longer invited to Channel One because of the concert in Lviv or because of the song “From the Window”?

- Yes, I was never particularly liked there. Once we performed in the “Evening Urgant” program - and that’s all, in my opinion. Once Will Smith came to Moscow - they called me from Channel One and said: Smith wants to read a freestyle with one of the Russian rappers - come. I came. While I was driving, Will Smith apparently looked at a news feed about me on his smartphone and did not read a freestyle with me. I was a little upset and went back to my place in Lyubertsy (laughs).

Son of Noize MC (Noise MC) - Vasily Alekseev

The son of Noize MC (Noise MC) - Vasily Alekseev - was born in 2010, and his mother was the singer’s legal wife Anna.
At the same time, fans for a long time could not understand the name of the rapper’s heir, since along with Vasily the name Artemy sounded. When the boy had colic and cried, his dad would soothe him to sleep with freestyle. The boy attends a regular school, where he studies quite well; Vasya is especially good at the humanities. The boy loves to travel with his parents, and most of all he likes Thailand.

Vasily is a very athletic boy, he does morning exercises every day and enjoys working out. Young Alekseev is engaged in an origami club, and also seriously plays chess and even participates in various chess tournaments.

Noize MC: “Standing on stage, I’m afraid that my mother will come and wake me up...”

I went to this interview, one might say, with trembling hands. For a whole year I tried to persuade Ivan Alekseev to give a couple of comments through friends and mutual acquaintances - but Vanya is a man of action rather than words, unless it concerns freestyle and music in general. And with the interview I flew like plywood over the famous French city.

And then the unexpected - a closed presentation of the new album and a chance to ask a couple of questions to the most popular musician among young people among “thinking Russia”.

I'll digress. My first acquaintance with the work of Noize MC took place two years ago, when Youtube began to boil with his video about Channel One. I thought it was funny, I even giggled - and then unexpectedly I bought a Noize MC disc (from pirates, in pretentious stores somehow it wasn’t lying around) and for 150 rubles I discovered a wonderful musician and the best fiststyler in Russia. The lyrics of his songs touched me. How? With your sincerity. In our musical food chain, it is so rare to hear lyrics that come from the heart, without any pretentious bells and whistles.

Then there was the last album, 10 days in Volgograd, Mercedes 666 and much more - the whole country started talking about Noise.

The hour struck, and it was my turn to ask questions. I imagined him as a pretentious star, so to be honest, I got so excited that I called Ivan Lesha - and then, in fear, I began to expect punches from Noise - he wouldn’t go into his pocket for a word. Yes, I could have been offended - such a disrespectful mistake.

But Ivan Alekseev, despite all my expectations, surprised me. He turned out to be not a pretentious person at all, despite his star status. He just smiled and simply answered my questions, without any bias. I saw him as very humane; at least in my eyes, Ivan Alekseev was firmly established on the pedestal of not only a talented musician, but also a very sincere guy, a man with a dream come true.

EVERYTHING BECAME EVEN MORE DISCOUNTING

— Some time has passed since the first album, do you feel the creative maturity of Noise?

“It seems to me that now everything is even more detached.” When you start working in the studio, everything is too tight, you get bothered by things that you don’t need to pay attention to. A certain amount of experience has come, and now it is clearly clear which things you need to control yourself - and which ones you should give responsibility to other people.

— Considering your popularity, is there a desire to educate your audience?

- Well, maybe just to tease.

— Many people are now saying, from among the advanced youth, that we want to leave Russia. How do you feel about this? And are you going to stay in Russia so that your children can grow up here?

- I'm going to stay. I live Russian, so it is very important to stay here.

— I remember that you participated in a project related to children. Do you plan to support any funds to help sick children in the future, or maybe create your own?

- I support it. And every time we receive offers to participate in some events, the group and I almost never refuse.

— Can you give a specific example?

— Various funds contact us. We are always open to cooperation. I went to play for children's oncology in Kashirka, we played at events where we raised funds for operations on sick people. We always take part in all such events.

I JUST WANTED TO DELIVER INFORMATION ABOUT INJUSTICE

— Many began to consider you opportunistic, especially after the Mercedes 666 track. How do you feel about this opinion?

“It was just a reaction to the event and an attempt to convey my opinion to people. Many began to accuse me that this was supposedly to increase their popularity, but the task was completely different. I just wanted to convey information about the ongoing injustice to more people.

And as for the opinion about the situation - well, that’s what flawed people think, something is wrong in their lives, they are looking for who is to blame for all the troubles. If I'm on a long list of demons for them, I agree. I just write about what worries me. There are worries in which I am practically alone. There are worries that are shared by a huge number of people. And then in the end they like the songs because they express what they themselves wanted to say. I don’t sit on news resources trying to figure out what to write about. Songs come to me in a different way.

— What is your favorite song on the new album? There is a favorite child.

- There are a lot of songs. I would like to mention Pool and Yes Future, I really love performing it. The pool has a stage diving accent. Stage jumping indirectly inspired my writing. Because as a result of such jumps, I seriously damaged my spine, and was forced to perform in a wheelchair for the rest of the tour. Actually, I highly recommend that you don’t jump from the stage in Magadan; it’s better to jump into a pool full of broken glass.

- Can you remember your childhood dream, what did you dream about so deeply?

— I recently expressed this in a freestal at a concert in St. Petersburg. Sometimes when I’m standing on stage, I’m afraid that my mother will wake me up and tell me that it’s time to go to school. Over and over again this doesn’t happen – and that’s good! My childhood dream came true and continues to come true. In this regard, I am an absolutely happy person.

Currently, the boy is engaged in gymnastics and work-out under the guidance of his father.

The five-year-old boy loves listening to punk music, including Eminem and Twenty One Pilots. He's crazy about the guitar, so it's quite possible that he could become the second Noize MC.

Everyday life of the family of Ivan Alekseev

Wife of Noize MC (Noise MC) - Anna Alekseeva

The wife of Noize MC (Noise MC) - Anna Alekseeva - is the most mysterious woman in show business, since Ivan tries not to talk about his wife. It is known that the young people met in 2008 at one of the concerts, then the guy remembered how he had previously seen her in the dormitory of the Russian State University for the Humanities back in 2002, where she was printing out a report. The most interesting thing is that Anna hated rap and the work of her future husband, but he did everything to make a positive impression on the girl.

It is worth clarifying that Noize MC (Noise MC) and Anna got married in 2009, the girl is completely devoted to family life. Anna is a non-public person; she shoots videos for her husband’s videos and raises children. Ivan claims that his wife is her love, assistant, friend and critic, and also her very first listener.
