Biography
Lyubava Greshnova was born and raised in Ukraine in the family of a doctor and a teacher. During her school years, the girl played in musicals and studied in a theater studio. She began her active creative work at the age of 13, when she was invited to appear on television in the “Children’s Cinema” program. At first she acted as a presenter, but soon she began writing scripts for the program herself.
“As a child, I dreamed of being a journalist and, when I was 13-14 years old, I even hosted the television program “Children’s Cinema” in my native Kharkov. Moreover, I was not just the presenter, but also came up with stories for 5-10 minutes. The topic could be the water cycle in nature, the animals of Australia, the construction of the Egyptian pyramids, or anything at all - the program was about everything in the world. Now I can’t imagine how I managed to come up with a new topic almost every day for two years. And then I managed, and there was enough inspiration, although I didn’t have the Internet, which greatly facilitates such work - mostly encyclopedias and popular science literature,” recalls Lyubava.
Graduating from secondary school, the girl knew exactly what she wanted to become. She easily entered the Karpenko-Kary University of Kiev, choosing the acting department. The future actress was lucky enough to study with a wonderful master - People's Artist of Ukraine Valentina Zimnya.

Lyubava Greshnova is not a creative pseudonym. The Greshnovs, a teacher mother and a doctor father, gave their daughter an unusual, ancient name. Lyubava spent her childhood in Ukraine, in Kharkov, where she was born on July 5, 1988.

In 2004, the girl moved to the capital of Ukraine, where she entered the Karpenko-Kary University, and after graduation she played on the theater stage, worked on television, and acted in films and TV series.
An important milestone in her biography was the move to Moscow in 2012. This period in the life of Lyubava Greshnova was also marked by changes in her personal life, and she made the decision to move together with her future husband.
Theater
In the first years of her student life, Lyubava Greshnova already began to appear on stage. By the end of her studies, she had several brilliantly played roles in plays: “The Bear” by Chekhov (Popova), “Til” by Gorin (Queen Maria), “The Brothers Karamazov”. In the latest production based on Dostoevsky's novel, she appeared in the role of Grushenka.
In 2009, after graduating from a theater university, Greshnova was accepted into the troupe of the Kyiv Suzirya Theater. She played Mytil in Alexei Kuzhelny’s play “The Blue Bird,” based on the famous play by Maurice Maeterlinck.

In February 2020, the Russia-1 channel presented the historical series “Ekaterina. Takeoff" about the fateful events for Russia that took place during the reign of Catherine II. In the series, Greshnova played Sofya Stepanovna Chartoryzhskaya, Catherine’s maid of honor (Marina Alexandrova) and the wife of Count Pyotr Razumovsky (Rodion Galyuchenko). This role became the actress’s calling card and made Lyubava famous among Russian viewers.

Presenter
In 2010, Lyubava Greshnova became the host of the popular Ukrainian show “Weighted and Happy” on the STB channel, an analogue of the American weight loss project The Biggest Loser.
In the program, participants lost weight with the help of professional trainers and nutritionists. For Lyubava herself, this topic turned out to be quite close - at the age of 18, in order to participate in one of the films, she managed to lose 12 kilograms.
“Already when I graduated from university, I was hired by the STB channel to host the program “Weighted and Happy.” I passed a lot of auditions - there was a crowd of people willing to lead it, and the selection was very strict. The creators of the program wanted this original show to be hosted by a beautiful and well-spoken blonde. But I also had one more trump card: I knew what it was to be fat and understood diets. After all, there was a time when I myself weighed 70 kg - and this with a height of 161 cm! ”, notes the actress.
Other projects
Actress Lyubava Greshnova managed to become famous not only thanks to her roles. The star's biography shows that she has repeatedly acted as a TV presenter. The most famous project with her participation is “Weighted and Happy.” This program is aimed at people who dream of losing weight. The actress, who is forced to constantly keep herself in shape, is very familiar with this problem. According to the star, she prefers to fight extra pounds through sports rather than diets.

Greshnova does not refuse photo shoots in fashionable glossy publications. For example, a few months ago, fans were able to see photographs of their favorite actress in Maxim magazine. In these photographs, Lyubava appears in the role of a femme fatale - beautiful and daring.
Cinema
In 2004, Lyubava Greshnova made her debut on the silver screen. In the youth drama directed by Alexander Veledinsky “Russian”, based on the works of Eduard Limonov, she played the role of Manka.
“When I was 15 years old, director Alexander Veledinsky came to us in Kharkov to shoot the film “Russian”. They took me to star in the episode, and I not only appeared in the frame, but even said some words! And all the time I was excited by a mixture of stress and happiness - it seemed as if I was not starring in an episode, but playing the main role... The release of the film became an event for the whole family: my parents and I ran to the cinema for the premiere, bought a poster and a disc, and watched it a hundred times my episode,” says the artist.
Now Greshnova is filming so much that her parents don’t have time to watch her films. But the disc with the film “Russian,” in which Lyubava starred as an extra, is kept by mom and dad as a relic.
In 2012, Lyubava Greshnova moved to Moscow. Since that time, she increasingly began to get leading roles in films: “Terrible Beauty” (Alisa Minaeva), “Rita’s Last Role” (Larisa), “My Friend’s Bride” (Lida), “Jamaica” (Secretary Vera), “Leave to stay” (Ulyana Morozova), “While I live, I love” (Marina Antipova), “Beautiful life” (prostitute Yulia Mishina).
The young actress approaches her roles very responsibly: “In the film “Moving”, my heroine becomes disabled and rides in a wheelchair - fortunately, I have never had to do this before. It turned out that driving a wheelchair is not so easy. I learned it in half a day, but then I had to hone my skills to look natural.
For the film “Glory,” I urgently had to improve my English: my heroine Lada has lived in America all her life and English is almost her native language. I studied with a teacher and every free minute I put on headphones and listened to the audio course. Of course, there was no time to thoroughly deepen knowledge and bring grammar to a new level, but such a goal was not set: it was necessary to grasp the melody and speak like a person who has lived in America for a quarter of a century, and not like an excellent student who passed the language with an “A” , but arrived in the States a month ago.”
In the film “Glory,” Lyubava played a real woman for the first time – the wife of the legendary hockey player Vyacheslav Fetisov. In the midst of filming, the actress met with Lada: “We talked with Lada alone for about five hours. She is an amazing woman that you can't help but fall in love with. And how he cooks! I tried her incredible cheesecakes. Many people note our external similarity with Lada, but it seems to me that in some ways we are similar in character. Both have a certain inner core, we know how to respect and appreciate our man, to be a wife, while remaining an individual. I was amazed at how the Fetisov family communicate with each other. They have been together for so many years, and there is so much sincerity, love and tenderness between them! I wanted to tell the audience the love story of this amazing couple. I hope we succeeded!”
And in the project “Bring Back My Love” Lyubava played two roles at once - two heroines, opposite in character. She needed 5-6 hours to apply makeup every shooting day. The actress had to play in a wig and contacts. It also took at least 3 hours to remove the makeup. But Lyubava says that she is ready to make these and many other sacrifices without complaint more than once, because this is the acting profession: “It was interesting to change. In real life, I am a blonde with blue eyes, and the make-up artists had to make me into a scorching brunette with tattoos for five hours. It took me a long time to get used to the lenses, my eyes hurt, I couldn’t see anything.”
"Almond Flavor of Love"
One of the last films in which Greshnova starred was the melodramatic story “Almond Flavor of Love.” This series about the difficult destinies of ordinary people is interesting because it is very close to life. The main character Katya Ivantsova (Arina Postnikova) is not only pretty and has a kind heart - the girl has great talent and golden hands, as all the clients of one of the city ateliers where she works as a seamstress-fashion designer know. Katya has a sister Dasha (Lyubava Greshnova), and her share of women has been a lot of trials. Daria is forced to endure the cruelty of her husband Stas (Timur Efremenkov), and her son Antoshka (Daniil Izotov) grows up in a family where an atmosphere of hatred and fear reigns. After another scandal, Dasha and her son leave her monster husband to live with her parents. However, Stas is not ready to let his wife go so easily.
Lyubava admits that during filming it was very difficult for her mentally: “There are a lot of tears in the frame. Sometimes Arina and I even laughed at how much we cried. But my favorite scenes in the series are exactly those when our heroines sat down in the kitchen and shared their problems, crying bitterly about their own. It’s very vital and reminds us that family is the most important thing.”
Love at first take
Oksana Morozova, AiF. Health”: Lyubava, you started acting in films as a schoolgirl, but how did you end up on the set?
Lyubava Greshnova: Director Alexander Veledinsky came to us in Kharkov to shoot the full-length film “Russian”. I studied in the journalistic circle of the Palace of Pioneers. We, the children, were invited to take part in the crowd. When the fitting was going on and we were standing in costumes, Alexander came up and said, looking at me: “She will play an episode.”

– As far as I know, the filming conditions were difficult...
– Yes, as I remember now, we were filming on December 7, and the plot was autumn: they dressed me very lightly, they gave me autumn boots. I froze everything on myself that day! The filming went on all night, in the cold, but I never complained, I thought that everything was as it should be. In the morning I had no strength, but I felt like a real actress, I earned money and was very proud, realizing that the film would be shown in all cinemas. I was also happy to be among such popular actors as Dmitry Dyuzhev , Andrei Chadov , Evdokia Germanova .
– Four years later, after graduating from the acting department, you and your husband (actor Mikhail Pshenichny – Ed.) moved to Moscow. What prompted this decision?
– Since my student years, I have acted a lot, and gradually I began to receive offers to work in the capital. The move was a conscious decision. I can’t say that it was easy, although it was easier than when I was 16 years old, when I left Kharkov for Kyiv. I love Moscow very much and sincerely believe that this is the best city on earth.
– In the film “Glory. Fetisov” you played the role of Lada Fetisova. Was it difficult to play such a strong woman?
– This role is my favorite! It was both easy to play her - Lada and I are very similar - and hard, I missed the whole story through myself. A wonderful love story, plus a sport that I love, filming in America - the project left very pleasant memories.

Personal life
For several years now, the actress’s name has been associated with the name of her colleague Mikhail Pshenichny. He also has Ukrainian roots, and he also studied at the same university with Lyubava. But the romance arose a little later, when the artists met on the set of the melodrama “My Friend’s Bride.”
Lyubava: “We both studied at the Kiev National University of Theater, Film and Television. I.K. Karpenko-Kary, but we had different companies. A little later we met at the “Pandora’s Box” project, but communication there did not work out either. For the third time, fate brought us together on the set of the film “My Friend’s Bride.” Misha tried to flirt with me, but it seemed to me that he was making fun of me and that I was doing something wrong.”
Mikhail: “Everything changed after the scene on the bridge, which became a turning point in our relationship. According to the plot, I was supposed to reach out to Lyuba with a kiss, and she was supposed to turn away. But for some reason she didn't do it. At that moment a spark ran between us.”
Lyubava: “It so happened that we did not have a courtship period. After filming ended, Misha came to visit me, and we never parted again. Everything happened by itself. Our relationship did not develop according to the classic pattern: acquaintance - date - first kiss. And it makes me happy! And our candy-bouquet period continues to this day. We like to give each other gifts and arrange surprises for no reason. Misha never ceases to amaze me!”
Mikhail proposed to Lyubava while on vacation in the Dominican Republic, on the ocean shore. “Misha got down on his knee, handed me a box and asked me to become his wife. At this solemn moment we were covered by a huge wave! When the water subsided, the first thing I asked was: “Misha, have you lost your ring?” — the actress laughs.
Greshnova's husband and child
Even during her carefree student days, the actress met her future husband, Mikhail Pshenichny. But fate brought them into a romantic union after some time on the set. As Lyubava herself says, their relationship began only at the end of filming the film “My Friend’s Bride.” The young people did not think twice and decided almost immediately to live together. The actors are romantic in nature and the future husband proposed to Greshnova in the Dominican Republic.
In 2020, Lyubava gave birth to her chosen one, a boy, whose name Greshnova tries to keep secret to this day.

Interview
About your plans
“I plan to return to TV and do an interview program. Most likely, the guests will be scientists and unique people: physicists, writers, athletes. And it is important that it is not boring, but interesting for every viewer!”
About your favorite TV shows
“To be honest, I’m a fan of the show “The Voice” - I watch not only our version, but also those that are shown in different countries of the world from beginning to end. I absolutely love this format. Every time I watch the participants and think: “Eh, why am I not a singer?!” I would definitely go and definitely win!” Or I would really like to sit on the jury, but I have a different profession... I also like the format of the “Friday!” channel, because it distracts from pressing matters and is at the same time educational. I love the travel show “Heads and Tails.” Moreover, I myself have traveled a lot, but when I watch this show, I understand that I have never been anywhere. The show really helps you decide which country to go to on vacation. And there I am already walking along the same routes as the presenters. “The Voice” and “Heads and Tails” are the only projects I watch on TV.”
About hobby
“I do yoga, I prefer the so-called hot yoga, which takes place in rooms with high temperatures. I skate and roller skate. I also write poetry and would like to publish a book. I really like to sing, whenever possible I study with a teacher and I dream of recording an album and organizing a concert. I take good photographs. Our family hobby, I think, can be called traveling.”
About vacation
“My favorite places are parks. Parks and sports! For several years I lived near Gorky Park and Neskuchny Garden. There I studied everything, knew every corner. I walked in my free time, ran, rollerbladed and biked, fed the squirrels. Neskuchny Garden is one of the oldest places in Moscow with a unique, enchanting energy, where you can relax both body and soul, and unwind mentally. Now I live near Kolomenskoye, so there’s no escape from the parks. This is 100% mine! And sometimes I just sit on a pleasure boat and admire my favorite city from the water. And I advise you: it’s very inspiring and relaxing.”
Beauty secret
“A slim figure won’t appear on its own; my secret is regular Bikram yoga classes (I’ve been into it for several years) and a special approach to nutrition. I consciously came to the point of becoming not just a vegetarian, but a vegan. That is, I do not eat meat, fish, poultry, eggs, or dairy products. But in nature, even without this, there is a wide variety of products: vegetables, fruits, grains, nuts!”
“Unfortunately, I tend to be overweight, and therefore I have to keep my appetite in check. In general, I really like junk food, and once a month my friends and I go out: we go to some American establishment, I take a burger, a large piece of pizza, French fries... And then I keep my mouth shut again. But if you deny yourself everything for years, you can go crazy. This is harmful to the psyche, sometimes you need to pamper yourself, and then continue to keep in shape... In general, I don’t like meat and I don’t know how to cook it at all. I tried, but my husband asked me not to do it. But I cook soups well, make delicious salads and bake pies.”
About cleaning
“When it comes to household chores, I am a fan of cleaning. And even when I come back from shooting late in the evening, I can start washing the floors. I can’t sleep if there are dirty dishes left or my jacket is out of place. That’s paranoia. The home must be sterile clean. But in general we have a rule: the one who is less busy does the housework.”
About animals
“As a matter of principle, I don’t go to circuses and zoos, this is dubious entertainment. Let the animals live in their natural environment, in nature reserves. If you want to communicate with little brothers, come to the shelters. Maybe someone will find a tailed friend.”
About sins
“I regularly sin in my thoughts, but I don’t have enough courage to act. In my thoughts I can even kill when I’m very angry - I have a wild imagination, like a maniac. But then I remember: “Lord, forgive me! Lyubava, stop!”
About the disadvantages
“I love people as they are. Therefore, I forgive them for their shortcomings and perceive them as an integral part of their personality. In my opinion, an ideal person is boring.”
About her husband: “Well... he sleeps a lot, can eat a bucket of chicken wings at once and speaks very quietly. But these are rather features than disadvantages. Cute little things that I love. But globally, I don’t even know what his shortcomings are. There probably aren't any. Misha also has poor vision, but does not want to wear glasses. But I can’t hear well.”
Mikhail: “This is the secret of our family happiness: I don’t see much, and Lyuba doesn’t hear.” (Laugh)
The secret of family happiness
“I think the secret of our family happiness is a sense of humor. It’s great when you can laugh and joke together, including at yourself.”

In one direction
– Your husband is also an actor. Does a common profession bring you closer or, conversely, hinder relationships?
– Now it seems to me that it’s still bringing us closer. We really like the phrase: “Loving does not mean looking at each other. To love means to look in one direction.” And we look in the same direction both in life and in work. This is cool! We are one whole, including in terms of profession.
– You once said that you never thought that you would connect your life with an actor. How did your parents react to their actor-son-in-law?
– At first they were surprised by my choice, but when they saw Misha, they simply fell in love with him and all questions disappeared by themselves. Throughout my life, I have learned the truth of the phrase “Never say never.” How many times have I said: “No, this won’t happen” - and always in the end I got what I was running from! God is smarter than us, and only he knows what is best for us.

– How do you deal with feelings of jealousy in your family, especially considering the fact that your own relationship with Mikhail began on the set of the film “My Friend’s Bride”?
– Yes, we are a little jealous of each other, but it seems strange to me if there was no jealousy at all. I try not to grumble or nag my husband, sometimes I can joke, sometimes make a joke, but it’s always kind, with a touch of irony. There is no aggression or malice behind this, I trust my husband 100%.
