Biography of Kylian Mbappe: career of a football player in clubs and the French national team

Childhood and youth

The future Spartak defender is a native Muscovite, born in January 1987. When the twins Dmitry and Kirill appeared in the family, the parents lived in a cramped apartment, where, nevertheless, there was room for four dozen balls of different sizes and purposes - from football to tennis. So the sons were accustomed to sports surroundings from birth.

For my father, sport was the main thing in life. An avid footballer, Vladimir Kombarov was unable to achieve high results in sports due to health problems, so when the boys were born, he made every effort to ensure that his sons made his dream come true.

The father began general physical training for the twins when the kids were 2 years old. And at 3.5, dad took Dima and Kirill to the gymnastics section. Six months later, young gymnasts participated in competitions and took first places.

Then Dmitry Kombarov and his brother were waiting for swimming and wushu classes. When they were 4.5 years old, their father, having heard about the experimental enrollment at the Torpedo school, took the boys there. A month later, the younger Kombarovs went to the Dynamo school, where they studied for six months. From 9 to 11 years old, the twins trained at a football school and at the same time practiced kickboxing.

Dmitry and Kirill also moved to the children's sports school of the Olympic reserve "Spartak" thanks to their father: Kombarov Sr. was friends with coach Nikolai Parshin. Being an avid Spartak fan, Vladimir, having heard about enrollment in the famous school, took his sons to Parshin. He warned that there would be no concessions for the guys and took the Kombarovs seriously.

After Parshin, three coaches were replaced, the last of whom called Dmitry and Kirill unpromising. The 14-year-old Kombarovs went to Dynamo, to mentor Yuri Mentyukov.

Footballers Alexander Kokorin and Pavel Mamaev were released

After a year of proceedings, trials and prison, the football players were released on parole this morning. Dozens of journalists gathered outside a correctional facility in the Belgorod region, where athletes have been serving time since July for fighting in Moscow. There were accidents and casualties. How did Kokorin’s stepfather find himself at the center of a new conflict, what now awaits the football players themselves?

A black Gellandvagen drives into the parking lot of the Belgorod correctional colony. The parents of the Kokorin brothers came to pick up the football players. They don’t want to talk to the press, they cover themselves with hoods, and then the forward’s stepfather Sergei Loginov uses his hands.

Only the colony guards were able to help the girl, and the smartphone was returned.

The squabbles didn't end there. At the entrance to the correctional facility there are dozens of television cameras as if at a post-match press conference, but the orderly ranks of journalists were broken by the same Gelendvagen. The man steps on the gas and drives over the leg of a Mash correspondent. An ambulance paramedic arrives and examines the victim. And again, people in uniform go to cool the ardor of those greeting them, Loginov is given a protocol. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has already begun checking the incident.

The footballers should be released only in an hour, and already there is a new scandal with the attack. They are having a conversation with Alexander Kokorin's stepfather. And yet this moment has come. Locks click.

The players didn’t even look at the press. The Kokorin brothers and Pavel Mamaev get into the car and immediately leave for Moscow, to visit their families. Coincidentally, the day of liberation was also Mamaev’s birthday, Alan’s wife did not come to meet him, apparently, she would give the gift at home.

In a couple of weeks, the players will celebrate the eleventh anniversary of their friendship. On the tenth year ago, he and his friends staged that very scandalous trip to Moscow clubs. In the parking lot of one of them, they beat the driver of Channel One presenter Vitaly Solovchuk, he ended up in the hospital. Then Kokorin and Mamaev went to have breakfast at a coffee shop. There, other visitors did not like their behavior and a fight broke out. The head of the department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Denis Pak, was hit in the head with a chair. As a result, Alexander and Kirill Kokorin received a year and six months in a general regime colony, Pavel Mamaev received a month less. Pre-trial detention center, stage, colony - the path to correction was long. We worked as stackers in a sewing workshop, went to church and read Dostoevsky’s books in the library.

As a result, by court decision, Kokorin and Mamaev were released early with the note “they did not violate the regime, they complied with the norms.” They even led the prison team in football and beat the local Salyut team.

Sports mode colony. According to the management of the correctional institution, Kokorin and Mamaev promoted a healthy lifestyle among prisoners, and they themselves went in for sports for an hour and a half a day. But such training, of course, is not enough to play for top clubs. Football experts believe that it is possible to regain shape in three to four months.

Zenit, where Alexander Kokorin played before his arrest, strongly supported their forward from the very beginning, the footballer even promised, as a sign of gratitude, to play for the club for free until the end of his career. And today it became known that the “blue-white-blue” signed a new contract with the player, the salary amount is still unknown.

The future of the second freed man is more uncertain. The Krasnodar football club, where Pavel Mamaev played for five years, immediately after his arrest announced the termination of the contract with the midfielder. But the Russian Football Union will only be able to consider this issue now that the defendant is free. Mamaev himself, it seems, still hopes that he will be understood and forgiven; he spoke about this even within the walls of the colony, avoiding the word “resentment”, which is prohibited in the prison lexicon: “Nothing at all. I have no regrets. I believe that everything that happened was based on emotions, and nothing terrible happened. I am currently a contract player for the club. Life goes on. I hope that both the club and I will come out of this situation with dignity.”

At the same time, the football clubs “Ural” and Samara “Krylya Sovetov” have already become interested in Mamaev. Ramzan Kadyrov also publicly invited him to play in the Grozny team “Akhmat”. In any case, players will be legally able to get into the declared squad and enter the field only after the transfer window in the spring part of the Russian Championship.

Parole is not yet complete freedom. Kokorin and Mamaev will now serve the remaining months on probation, report to the inspector, and report if they plan to leave somewhere or change jobs. So the police will be the first to know about new contracts or, perhaps, the end of a football career.

Football

Dmitry Kombarov began his career in the Blue and White team in 2004. In the summer of 2005, he made his debut in the main club lineup in a Russian Cup match. Dynamo's rivals were footballers from the Bryansk club Dynamo. After 5 years, a new chapter appeared in Kombarov’s sports biography: a football player, whose height is 1.82 m and weighs 76 kg, moved to Spartak Moscow with his brother.

The president of the “blue and white” club, Yuri Isaev, said that the Kombarovs’ transfer was dictated by mercantile motives; allegedly the brothers agreed to stay if the club significantly increased their salaries. The transfer of athletes cost Spartak $10 million.

Since mid-August 2010, Dmitry Kombarov and his brother became players of the “red-white” team. The footballer cited the desire to develop and participate in the prestigious Champions League tournament as the reason for changing clubs.

In the Red-White club and national team, Kombarov most often plays as a left-back. He became famous for his ability to make crosses, for which fans jokingly nicknamed him “Navesovy”. At Spartak, Dmitry is a full-time penalty taker. He approaches the 11-meter mark less often after the appearance of the Dutchman Quincy Promes in the team.

In the vastness of the CIS

Alexander Zavarov unexpectedly continued his coaching career in Kazakhstan. For some time he worked at Zhenis from Astana. He ended up there in 2004 with the help of French specialist Aimé Jacquet, who oversaw the training of coaches in the Kazakh federation.

Things didn't work out for him right away in this rather exotic championship. As Zavarov himself later said, he never comprehended the local specific mentality, which, for example, consisted of the need to participate in fixed matches.

In 2005 he came to Ukraine. Alexander Zavarov became the head coach of Metalist Kharkov. It’s interesting that at first he had problems with documents, since the specialist’s coaching license had expired. Therefore, he was included in the protocol as a sports director.

He came to the club when the team was on the verge of collapse due to the departure of the management and a large number of key players to another team in this city, FC Kharkov. Zavarov failed to establish relations with the new management and players here too. In mid-2005, he parted ways with the club. At the same time, in an interview, he emphasized that he fulfilled the task assigned to him (to be in the top ten at the end of the season), but he was not ready to connect his future with this team.

Personal life

Dmitry Kombarov met his future wife Tatyana, who worked in a clothing store, at the girl’s workplace. The romance lasted 6 years. In the fall of 2011, the 24-year-old Spartak defender, who was three times among the top 30 football players in the national championship, got married. In February 2012, his wife gave Dmitry a daughter, Ulyana.

In 2020, the match with Zenit resulted in a victory for the red-white team, and an injury for Dmitry - a broken rib. In an interview with Sport-Express, the footballer said that the collision with Emiliano Rigoni had such consequences for him.

Dmitry Kombarov in 2020

While undergoing treatment, Kombarov missed games with CSKA and Arsenal. He was also unable to participate in the decisive Champions League game with Liverpool.

In 2020, the defender returned to the general group. In April, Spartak beat Krylia Sovetov at the stadium in Samara, but Dmitry Kombarov missed the match due to muscle pain in his thigh. He returned to the game at an away match of the national championship, fighting against the Makhachkala club Anzhi.
