The first role awaited Angelina in 2015, while studying at the theater, she was invited to star in the serial melodrama “Salsa”. Here the girl came in handy with her choreographic skills: Strechina’s heroine is an aspiring dancer who does not want to adapt to other people’s opinions, defends creative individuality, and seeks her own unique style in dance.
On the set, the young artist’s partners were Alena Babenko, Boris Khvoshnyansky, Anna Ardova, Alexander Semchev. The series also featured professional dancers. In 2020, the actress appeared in the short film “Mom is Always There” by Evgeny Puzyrevsky.
And in 2017 she played the main role in the melodrama “Ballerina” directed by Roman Barabash. Her heroine is Mira, the daughter of a failed ballerina. At the request of her mother, the girl went to a choreographic school. Hoping to earn the love of her domineering and cold mother, Mira made every effort to become the best. However, the mother is still more concerned about the breakup of relations with her husband and his move to his new wife in the capital. Her mother forces Mira to enter the capital's choreography academy in order to become closer to her father's new family and spy on him. Hoping to get her husband back, she pushes Mira to commit a crime.

Angelina Strechina, star of “The Queen of Spades: Through the Looking Glass,” about filming, fears and complexes
As part of the special project #thisisourkino, we recall the best interviews with industry stars on the PEOPLETALK website. One of them is the promising young actress Angelina Strechina. This is what she told us in the spring of 2020.
Angelina Strechina graduated from ballet school with honors (on Instagram Angelina often posts photos of her jumping, and her legs, as we like to say, are truly endless), graduated from Sliver in 2017 and is now starring in top-grossing projects. In 2018, the film “On the Block” by Olga Zueva was released, which was shown at the Toronto Film Festival, and this March she has two premieres at once - the horror films “The Queen of Spades: Through the Looking Glass” and “Guests”. The actress told PEOPLETALK about horror, complexes and plans.
About “The Queen of Spades: Through the Looking Glass” and “Guests”
When I was approved for two films at once, I was very worried that the heroines would be similar. And one of the primary tasks for me was to figure out how to make them different. The very first thing that worked, and thanks to Sasha Domogarov Jr. (director of the film “The Queen of Spades: Through the Looking Glass”) for approving this idea, was to braid the entire head in pigtails.
I liked acting in horror films - there is a feeling that you have more possibilities, like in a fairy tale, where the laws of reality fade into the background. It seems to me that this is a popular genre now - people are so overloaded with information, so emotionally saturated, that directors need to shake them up, add adrenaline.
About popularity
I can’t say that people recognize me on the street. But there have been cases when people stand and stare for a very long time. And one day a guy came up to me, stood in front of me and silently watched. I was already afraid that this was some kind of acquaintance and I had forgotten him. And then he says: “Is that you?”
About the complexes
Alas, they exist. But this is not the most interesting topic of conversation.
About hobby
I have a huge number of interests, and I am a person of mood. I can read a book, watch a movie, or study some educational materials all day. Or I can just go ride a slide, ice skate or swim in the river. Whatever comes to mind!

About March 8
Since childhood, I have associated this holiday with a sea of flowers. They are everywhere - at home in vases, on the streets of many people, in shops. And the coolest gift, perhaps, was recently given to me by my brother for my birthday - he wrote a poem and read it out. Amazing!
About plans
A lot of them. The most important thing is to constantly develop and not stand still.

Interview
Angelina told in an interview with Tricolor TV Magazine how the project “On the Area” began for her, about her heroine and about filming: “Like many artists, I received an invitation to casting, this is a normal system, but when I received this project and read him, I couldn’t believe that they were calling me there! Me, a student girl with little filming experience, was involved in such a large-scale and interesting project! That was incredible. I took these auditions seriously. I had to learn the scene and watch one movie - I can’t say which one, but it was important for understanding the scene. This audition film was shocking for me, because I don’t watch such films. I periodically watched the tape with my eyes closed.
When I arrived on the appointed day, I was greeted by a smiling casting director; there were no partners, no director, no producer. It was very exciting for me, because I had to decide for myself what to do and how to do it. And in the tests there was a dialogue that turned into a monologue related to watching the film. I began to pronounce it and at some point I thought that all this was still too cool for me, a sky-high dream, and began to speak the text on my own... After that, they called me and invited me to a meeting with director Olga Zueva.
I call my character a ray of light in a dark kingdom. The film itself is about two friends and the world in which they are mired. And so, when everything around is dark and difficult, my heroine is the sun. She personifies lightness, hope for the future, for life, for happiness. Trying to melt the ice around.
There was a feeling that the film “On the Block” was created out of great love for the project. You come to the site and everyone wants to work. Olga and Danila are real, humane. I fell in love with them so much, to be honest. There was no division on the set - you are an actor, I am a director, I am a producer, there was an atmosphere that we were all creating one single thing. When we were filming a large-scale scene, where there were a lot of local residents who wanted to play in our film, Danila talked to everyone, there was no question of stardom.”

One day, a classmate told Angelina about the theater studio where she studied in order to better prepare for exams at an “acting” university.
Angelina was brought into her acting career by chance
Spontaneously, unexpectedly for herself, as if obeying an inner impulse, Angelina asked for the phone number of this studio, which decided her fate. At the very first lesson, the girl realized that she had always dreamed of being an actress, and, after graduating from school, she entered the Shchepkin Higher Theater School. She studied on the course of Vladimir Beilis and Vitaly Ivanov.
