Biography
Dmitry Shepelev is a Belarusian, Ukrainian and Russian television and radio presenter who, thanks to his eccentricity and ability to attract the eyes of millions of television viewers, became famous. His TV shows appear on Russia's main TV channel during prime time and enjoy public interest. Shepelev’s private life is no less interesting, because it was he who became the last love and father of the child of everyone’s favorite pop star Zhanna Friske.
Love that produces beautiful children
Unlike many of her colleagues, Zhanna Friske did not participate in high-profile family scandals throughout her career and rarely appeared on the pages of the yellow press.
Of course, there were affairs with men in her life, but the singer could not decide to have a child for a very long time. Zhanna began a relationship with radio host Dmitry Shepelev at the age of 38. Very soon after the start of the novel, the lovers stopped actively working and participating in social life. And then Zhanna, with a noticeable belly, flew to Miami. Why the USA? Friske visited Miami more than once before pregnancy, and she really liked it. In her interviews, Zhanna said that the weather is always good there. The pregnancy proceeded well, Platon Shepelev was born on April 7, 2013 in one of the best local clinics. After Zhanna's death, rumors appeared in the press that she learned about her illness during pregnancy. According to some sources, Zhanna had a choice - to begin treatment immediately and lose the child, or wait for his birth and risk her own health.
Childhood and youth
Dmitry was born on January 25, 1983 in the capital of Belarus - Minsk. The family of the future celebrity was far from the world of art and cinema; his mother and father had a technical education and worked in their specialty. As a child, Dima was fond of sports - water polo and tennis. In the latter, he achieved considerable success, entering the top ten best junior tennis players in Belarus. At school, the guy preferred humanities subjects.
Even in his youth, Shepelev’s biography was enriched by his participation in the filming of the program as an extra. The future TV presenter was greatly impressed by the magic of TV. When his friend and classmate Denis Kuryan offered to try himself at the casting of TV presenters for a youth talk show, Dmitry immediately agreed. The guys passed the casting and in 1999 began hosting the “5x5” program.

Dmitry Shepelev and son Platon
After graduating from school, the guy entered the Belarusian State University at the department of television and radio broadcasting. Soon he enrolled in a local TV presenter school. He continued to work on Channel One of Belarus, and soon got a job as a DJ at the popular radio station Alfa Radio.
On the fan page of the son of TV presenter Dmitry Shepelev and Zhanna Friske, who died in 2020, they published a photo of a noticeably matured Plato.
Platon Shepelev celebrated his sixth birthday in April of this year. As you know, the child now lives with his father, popular TV presenter Dmitry Shepelev. The father has not shown his son in public for quite a long time, so every shot of the grown-up child is now worth its weight in gold for fans of Zhanna Friske’s work. I must say, he began to look very much like his mother, which was noticed by many social network users.
Platon Shepelev
Let us note that a few days ago it was four years since Zhanna Friske passed away. On this occasion, talk shows were held on central channels, where the singer’s relatives, as well as her friends, remembered the singer. Zhanna Friske's father and mother emphasized that they have not been able to see their grandson for several years. Many show business stars supported the parents of Zhanna Friske and condemned Dmitry Shepelev, who, as many believe, deprives the child of the most important thing - communication with the closest people.
Shepelev himself recently spoke out about bullying on social networks. According to him, he has certain reasons why he does not allow the relatives of his common-law wife to see the child. However, he did not voice them.
The TV presenter also explained to fans why he does not post photographs of Plato on Instagram.
Dmitry and Platon Shepelev
“Lately people often ask why I don’t publish photos with my son. I will answer. Firstly, I remember myself, my personal experience was bad. They started recognizing me when I was about 16. When I heard a whisper behind me, a girl’s “hee hee,” “sign for your wife,” I fainted, became cold, and didn’t know where to hide. I definitely couldn’t cope, I felt bad about it. Frankly, I still feel uneasy when they find out. The stage is my job, but definitely not my life.
I understand that my son can expect a big stage at the conservatory; he is a very musically gifted boy. Or the Champions League field, he plays football - and then, of course, they recognize him, he has everything for this. Or maybe a scientific laboratory awaits him, where fame doesn’t matter at all. Therefore, when he gets older, let him decide for himself whether he needs this attention or not. In the meantime, I am responsible for him, I want him to live in peace. Such a simple answer,” Shepelev wrote.
By the way, Natalya Friske finally saw the son of her sister Zhanna on the air of one of the programs dedicated to the anniversary of the singer’s death, where they showed footage of the grown-up Plato. Not long ago, Dmitry Shepelev took his son to an official event, where journalists managed to photograph a six-year-old boy. It was this moment that was shown on air.
Natalya was delighted with how much her nephew had grown. “What a handsome nephew I have!” — the artist’s sister admires. Unfortunately, the Friske family currently has no other way to see Plato. According to the performer’s relatives, Dmitry does not allow them to see the child. They have court permission to do this, but for various reasons they have not been able to organize a meeting for quite some time.

A television
After graduating from university, the guy continued to work on Minsk television. But career prospects in his homeland did not suit him. Dmitry sent his video to the Ukrainian music channel M1. Soon the young journalist was invited to the role of TV presenter of the morning show Guten Morgen. In 2004 he moved to Kyiv.
The move had a positive impact on his professional career: in 2008, Dmitry was invited to the role of host of the popular music talent show “Star Factory - 2”. Subsequently, he continued to collaborate with Ukrainian television channels.
At the same time, Dmitry decided to try to make his way onto the Russian television screens by participating in the filming of the musical show “Can You? Sing!” on Channel One.

Dmitry Shepelev in his youth
In 2009, Shepelev received an offer from Moscow to join the Channel One team, and Dmitry moved to the capital of Russia. In the spring of the same year, the showman became the host of the Green Room at the world famous Eurovision 2009 music competition. Here the guy gave his best, holding more than 80 press conferences. For his work he was awarded the TEFI television award.

In February 2020, Dmitry took the place of the TV host of the talk show “Live” after the departure of Boris Korchevnikov. Not all TV viewers were satisfied with the choice of the channel’s management, but Shepelev managed to show skill and convince the public of the opposite.
A little later, Dmitry became the TV presenter of the First Channel project “Actually”. The talk show deals with family conflicts, the participants of which undergo a lie detector test right in the studio. The program is popular, so this project remains the main one for the showman.
Career
In 2004, Shepelev was invited to Ukraine, to M1. I had to constantly travel between Kiev and Minsk - I didn’t want to give up my favorite job on radio in Belarus. But in 2008, he gave up and moved to Kyiv - especially since they invited him to be a presenter at Star Factory-2, and then invited him to appear in two programs at once... Then he invited him to Inter - in a word, he became really popular in Ukraine's leading!
Personal life
Shepelev got married while still a student at the Belarusian State University. His wife was Anna Startseva, with whom the presenter had been dating for 7 years at that time.
The personal life of the spouses did not work out. Dmitry spent no more than 3 weeks as a married man, after which he packed his things and moved away from his wife.
In 2011, the first rumors appeared about a romance between the TV presenter and popular singer Zhanna Friske, a former member of the group “Brilliant”. She was 9 years older than Shepelev. Zhanna and Dmitry met during the filming of the program “Property of the Republic” in 2009. Relations between them did not improve immediately. The singer managed to get pregnant from Dmitry. In April 2013, their son Plato was born.

Dmitry Shepelev and Zhanna Friske Soon
Friske was diagnosed with cancer. An official statement about the artist’s serious illness (inoperable brain tumor) came only in January 2014. Shepelev took upon himself all the difficulties associated with organizing treatment. The singer was placed in a New York clinic, and after a course of chemotherapy, the family moved to Jurmala. The remission turned out to be short-lived. On June 15, 2020, the performer died.
Zhanna's death came as a real shock to everyone. Only 2 years later Shepelev openly spoke about his experiences due to the death of his wife. He shared this with TV presenter Andrei Malakhov in the program “Let Them Talk,” where he passed a lie detector test.
After the death of the artist, Shepelev began to have conflicts with her relatives. According to Dmitry, Vladimir Friske repeatedly threatened him with physical harm, which is why the journalist was forced to contact the police.

Dmitry Shepelev and new girlfriend Ekaterina Tulupova
In 2020, they started talking about Dmitry’s new girlfriend. She became designer Ekaterina Tulupova. Shepelev’s friend is originally from Yekaterinburg, did an internship in Milan, then opened her own business in Moscow. In addition to the architectural bureau, the woman runs the Creative Breakfasts project. Ekaterina is raising her daughter Lada from a previous relationship. The girl is the same age as Dmitry Platon’s son.
The couple periodically appears in public places and also goes out with their children. In April 2020, as a friendly company, they attended the Cirque du Soleil performance “TORUK - First Flight”.
Dmitry still does not advertise his new relationship on social networks. He even posts a photo of his son on Instagram without showing the child’s face.

. The TV presenter occasionally posts touching or funny pictures from his son’s life on his blog, but tries not to show his face. Dmitry recently told the portal about how he is raising Plato.
The TV presenter noted that he considers it unacceptable to force children to engage in sports or art: “I have already said more than once that I do not want to raise a genius. I don’t like the hysteria of some parents who send their children to karate, Chinese, chess, and swimming in between yoga and acting classes.”
According to Shepelev, every child has the right to a happy, carefree childhood: “This does not mean that you need to kick the bucket. I am a supporter of reasonable decisions. Yes, Plato has an English teacher, a music teacher, he goes to kindergarten and to the swimming pool. But at the same time, I make sure that it gives him pleasure.”

Dmitry reminded readers that many of them heard from friends how they were “tormented by solfeggio” in a children’s music school, and some themselves experienced these sensations. The TV presenter emphasized that he strives to protect Plato from such memories, so he selects activities to his liking: “For example, I know for sure that my son is interested in hockey. Great, then we’ll go and he’ll try it. I won’t drag him there by force.”
Every day Dmitry tries to find an opportunity to communicate with Plato: “I spend more time with my son than most fathers spend with their children. And not because it is an obligation, but because we feel good together. Of course, I remember that both I and he should have personal time, alone with ourselves. This is also extremely important.”
In the morning, Dmitry and Plato wake up together and have breakfast. While the father is on set, the boy waits for him in class or in kindergarten. In the evenings, Plato and Dmitry have dinner together, after which the father reads to his son before bed: “This is our sacred time, which belongs only to us. I don’t answer the phone or do business.” On weekends, Dmitry and Platon go to theaters, walk outside the city, and often the son accompanies his father at training.

My son will soon be 5. Now, every time I plan a trip with him, a flight, a vacation or entertainment, I keep in my head “well, not a fact” until the very end. Probably every parent has gone through this: tickets have been purchased, a hotel has been booked, invitations to some Disney, Lego or any other land have been prepared, cars, accompanying people, balloons, a cake, gifts and even a mattress have been organized. One day before departure. Or even better: the night before departure and... temperature. And instead of a flight - a taxi to the pharmacy, and instead of cotton candy - Panadol. I've encountered this three times already. And every time on the eve of the trip. I'm sure you understand what I mean. We all think that this only happens to us. This is wrong. It's a shame, of course, but does it really matter?! My son once said: “Let’s not cancel, let’s just reschedule.” How wise he is! I never cease to be amazed by him. “Thank you,” I tell him. - For what? - For bringing order into my life. Your own order. When everything happens at the wrong time, but when it’s really needed! And, of course, thank you for the happiness too. Absolute happiness is not important in Lego Land or with a cup of raspberry tea for cough

Dmitry Shepelev was born in Minsk. Already in the ninth grade, the teenager worked on television, and subsequently graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of the Belarusian State University. His first wife was Anna Tabolina, whom he met at the age of 14 while filming the “5x5” program. The long-term romance ended in marriage, which lasted only three weeks.
In 2011, Dmitry met Zhanna Friske. The TV presenter was present at the birth of Plato, who was born in Miami on April 7, 2013.
Soon after the birth of her son, the singer learned about a terrible diagnosis - a brain tumor. At the age of two, Plato was left an orphan and has since been raised by his father. Last fall it became known that Dmitry had a girlfriend, but the TV presenter himself refuses to discuss his personal life with journalists.

Dmitry Shepelev in 2020
And in February 2020, it became known that Shepelev decided to leave Channel One. Dmitry emphasized that this decision was not made simply, but was made by mutual agreement. He also did not voice the reasons for such an unexpected act, but stated that he had no mutual claims with the channel’s management. The presenter's successor was actor Timur Eremeev.
Shepelev is not the legal father of Plato
The family of singer Zhanna Friske and her ex-lover Dmitry Shepelev went to a new round of proceedings. This time, the lawyer for the artist’s relatives stated that the TV presenter kidnapped her only son and hid her in Belarus.
Lawyer and human rights activist Valentina Perevoznik gave hope to Zhanna Friske’s relatives in their fight for the artist’s little son Platon, who will soon turn five. “Our last meeting took place last year. Immediately after this, Dima stopped answering calls. And recently he completely hid Platoshka in another country: he took him to Belarus, to his parents’ private house near Minsk. I no longer believed in anything, but she (Perevoznik – editor’s note) explained it clearly and clearly. It turned out that there are a number of laws that no one has paid attention to until now. I really hope that this time we will succeed and we will return our grandson,” the singer’s father, Vladimir Friske, told reporters.
Perevoznik stated that Shepelev is not the legal father because he was not officially married to the singer. “After the birth of the child, she was officially recognized as a single mother. To obtain the status of a father, Dmitry, together with Zhanna, had to submit an application to the registry office to establish paternity, which did not happen. This means that he cannot be the boy’s guardian,” Perevoznik clarified. It turns out that the only family for little Plato remains his maternal grandparents.
As notes , Dmitry Shepelev independently entered his last name into Plato’s birth certificate at the time of its receipt, which is legally qualified as namesakes. “In my statement, I indicated that Shepelev kidnapped and illegally held Platon, who was in a helpless state due to his youth, and this entails punishment under Articles 126 and 125 of the Criminal Code. We gave Dmitry three days to return the child to his family,” said lawyer Friske.
The singer’s father said that Shepelev reacted instantly, but not in the way they expected. Allegedly, the showman invited Friske’s relatives to meet their grandson in Belarus. Dmitry refused to return Plato to Russia.
Then Perevoznik sent a complaint to the Prosecutor General's Office, the Commission on Minors' Affairs, and the General Director of Channel One, Konstantin Ernst. “We also contacted the FSB and blocked Platon from traveling abroad until the case was resolved on the merits with the child being transferred to his family for adoption,” Perevoznik said.
