Biography
Family and childhood
His parents divorced when he was 2 years old, and he took his stepfather Mark Tomlinson's surname. He has five younger sisters: on his father's side (Georgia) and on his mother's side (Charlotte, Felicite, twins Daisy and Phoebe). Louis attended acting school in Barnsley. He had a small role in the film If I Had You
. He was a sixth form student at Hall Cross School, a public education school, and a graduate of Hayfield School.
Career
In 2010, Tomlinson came to The X Factor
as a solo member. But he did not achieve success in the selection of the vocal competition and judge Nicole Scherzinger invited him and 4 other guys to unite in a group. The group was named One Direction and included: Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik.
The group took 3rd place in the show, and, to date, One Direction have released 5 albums: Up All Night, Take Me Home, Midnight Memories, Four and Made in the AM

01. Louis Tomlinson will be the first One Direction soloist to come to Russia. On April 16, 2020, he will present his debut album at Moscow's Crocus City Hall (there are still places left in the gallery, hurry up).
02. His first solo album had been preparing for release for four years, and during this time the word “soon” from Louis Tomlinson managed to become a meme. He released collaborations with Steve Aoki and Bebe Rexha, and then decided that this was not his sound and threw himself into work, sometimes releasing snippets on social networks.
03. One of the snippets was a fifteen-second portion of the song “Always You.” Since then, fans, unlike Louis himself, have not forgotten about this song and wondered when they would hear it at every opportunity. Now this is the eighth composition of the album - as the performer himself admits, he owed this song to the world.

05. The debut album consists of twelve songs, but Tomlinson has about fifty songs in total that he has written or co-written, including songs for EXO, Black Bear and Camila Cabello.

Louis Tomlinson's vocal range is about A2 to D5, but still, during his first time in the group, he didn't think he was good enough, especially considering that on the first albums his solos were only a couple of minutes long. This, fortunately, changed later, but became one of the reasons why he became so active in songwriting. Every cloud has a silver lining!
07. Louis calls “Walls” his favorite song on the album. Noel Gallagher took part in its creation, and the video for the song contains a direct reference to the work of Oasis and their song “Live Forever” in the part with a brick wall and a hanging chair.

The video "Richard's Bucket List", released in support of the song "Two of Us", was supposed to show an example of how one can continue to live and be happy in the face of personal tragedy: Louis dedicated this song to his mother, who died of leukemia, and in the same year Richard's wife died of Alzheimer's disease. The video was also charitable in nature and called for donations to three organizations: Alzheimer's Society, Cancer Research UK and Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice, of which Tomlinson is a patron.
09. By his own admission, if he had not studied music, he would have become a literature teacher or football coach. It’s not entirely clear what happened to literature, but football is clearly his path: Tomlinson played football professionally during his school years and played in the Doncaster Rovers team. The number 28 tattooed on his fingers honors his number in the charity match, and the stadium and team players appear in the videos for "Back to You" and "Don't Let it Break Your Heart."
10. Louis Tomlinson has already tried his hand at refereeing twice. He was a guest judge on America's Got Talent in 2020 (Season 11, Episode 10), and last year he became the youngest winning judge on The X Factor UK.
