Childhood and youth

Nadezhda Vasilievna was born in the village of Potapovo, in the Smolensk region. She became the second child in the family of housewife Olga and train conductor Vasily. When the future star was one year old, the Rumyantsev family moved to the Moscow region.

From early childhood, Nadezhda was distinguished by her cheerfulness and energy; the girl grasped any information on the fly. These character traits did not change even when the Great Patriotic War broke out and Nadya’s father was called to the front. Rumyantseva's brother, Vladimir, stayed with the family because he was too young for the war. Nadya tried to support the military, gathering children and teenagers to entertain the wounded soldiers in the hospital.

For the Rumyantsev family, the war ended happily, the head of the family returned home alive and with a reward - the Order of the Hero of the Soviet Union. Since those harsh times, Nadezhda acquired the habit of being content with little, and she remained true to this trait until the end of her days.

During school, the actress attended creative clubs, including those related to the theater, but did not plan to go on stage. However, when she graduated from school and the question of choosing an educational institution arose, the girl, who did not like exact sciences, decided to try her hand at acting.

Nadezhda Rumyantseva passed the entrance exam to the studio school at the Central Children's Theater without any problems. The bright and lively girl instantly captivated the examination committee with Famusov’s passionate monologue from Griboedov’s play “Woe from Wit.” Later in an interview, the actress admitted that she expected failure, and therefore gave her best to the audience. Then Rumyantseva entered GITIS.

Most of all, Nadezhda Rumyantseva fell in love with actress Olga Pyzhova, who worked at the Central Children's Theater. When the studio at the theater was closed and Olga became a teacher at VGIK, she took her talented protégé with her. Nadezhda continued to comprehend the secrets of the acting profession in the workshop of Bibikov and Pyzhova.

Interesting facts[ | ]

  • There is a common misconception that the Hare from “Well, wait a minute!” was voiced by Nadezhda Rumyantseva, but in fact he was voiced by Klara Rumyanova[6][7].
  • It is also a common misconception that Nadezhda Rumyantseva is the daughter of the famous circus clown Mikhail Rumyantsev (Pencil). In fact, Mikhail Rumyantsev’s daughter’s name is Natalya. Nadezhda’s father is Vasily Rumyantsev.
  • In September 2010, in the city of Bila Tserkva, on the house where one of the episodes of the film “Queen of the Gas Station” was filmed, a memorial plaque was installed in honor of actress Nadezhda Rumyantseva[8][9].

Personal life

It was rumored that during her student years the actress had a relationship with Yuri Belov, but the romance of the two future screen stars did not last long. And Rumyantseva’s first companion was classmate Vladimir Shurupov. The young people registered their marriage while still studying at the institute, but the union broke up immediately after graduation. The husband was assigned to a provincial theater, and Nadezhda, at that time already a successful actress, decided to stay in Moscow.

Wedding of Nadezhda Rumyantseva and Willy Khshtoyan

In 1965, dramatic changes occurred in the actress’s personal life. Rumyantseva met an Armenian student, who eventually became her life partner for more than 40 years. The young man’s name was Willy Vakhtangovich Khshtoyan, and in the history of the late USSR he is recorded as a diplomat who worked in Egypt and Malaysia, although ordinary people still know this civil servant exclusively as the husband of Nadezhda Rumyantseva.

The young people quickly liked each other. They lived together for three years, and then, when Willie was sent abroad, the couple married. They took with them Karina, Khshtoyan’s daughter from his first marriage. Nadezhda became friends with the baby.

The couple did not have children together, and, as the actress’s husband admitted in an interview, it was his fault. At first, Willie persuaded Nadezhda to wait, fearing that her daughter would feel deprived, and then Rumyantseva’s reproductive age gradually expired, and she simply could not get pregnant.

For some time the couple thought about adopting a child, but abandoned this idea. Until the last days of their lives, Rumyantseva and Khshtoyan maintained mutual love and caring attitude towards each other, as can be judged by the joint photos of the spouses.

Son of Emmanuel Vitorgan - Maxim Vitorgan

On one fine September day, his beloved wife Alla gave our hero a son, whom his parents decided to name Maxim. He grew up in an environment that was conducive to the development of artistic talent. Having received a school certificate for a course of secondary school education, yesterday's graduate becomes a GITIS student without any problems.

During his student days, the young man played in several theatrical productions and starred in three films. Now he is in demand not only in the domestic film industry. Works brilliantly in various television projects.

The son of Emmanuel Vitorgan, Maxim Vitorgan, was married three times. He became a father three times in various marriages. The actor was married for several years to one of the famous social divas, Ksenia Sobchak. According to rumors, this marriage was also unhappy. A man caught his wife with her lover. This led to a fight between the two men. Divorce proceedings are currently underway.

Difficult relationship with ex-spouse

After the divorce, Emmanuel Vitorgan stopped all communication with his daughter from his first marriage. This was prevented by the artist’s second wife Alla Balter. She was so absorbed in raising their common son that she could not accept anyone else into their home. Emmanuel did not want to contradict his young wife. Therefore, it is not surprising that Tamara Rumyantseva and Ksenia harbored a grudge against him.

After the actor’s second wife passed away, he married for the third time. His new wife, Irina Mlodik, on the contrary, decided to resume communication between Emmanuel and her daughter at all costs. Ksenia and her mother became frequent guests in the Vitorgans’ house.
