Childhood and youth

Dmitry Vlaskin was born in October 1989 in Moscow. It is known that his parents are native Muscovites, and the future actor’s mother, Tatyana Voronina, worked as a director in one of the capital’s theaters. So Dmitry’s relationship with Melpomene began to develop at a tender age.

But, although the boy had the opportunity to visit the theater backstage and communicate with the actors, he was not particularly interested in theater. Dmitry chose sports and from six to six he was seriously involved in tennis, and was fond of football, boxing and aikido. Apparently, the example of my father led the way, who himself was friends with sports all his life, in his youth he won the Russian triathlon championship.

A coach from the United States became interested in the young tennis player and invited him to play tennis for the university team in South Carolina. For four years, Dmitry played tennis and studied psychology.

In his youth, Dmitry Vlaskin lived in the USA and played tennis

Having received a diploma in psychology, Vlaskin came to visit his native country. While visiting a relative who was studying in one of the theater theaters in St. Petersburg, he accidentally spied how the actors were rehearsing the play “Don’t Part With Your Loved Ones.” The director’s work and the actors’ remarks evoked an emotional response in the young man’s soul. So strong that Dmitry decided to change his life priorities. He did not even return to America for his things, deciding to enter a theater university.

There was very little time left to prepare for the entrance exams, but his mother and her colleagues helped Dmitry draw up a program. Initially, he planned to apply to GITIS and the Shchukin School, but his mother advised him to include the Moscow Art Theater School in this list: “Run, read, practice.”

Dmitry Vlaskin graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School in 2014

And from 2009 to 2014, his new place of study was the Moscow Art Theater School, and his teachers were Igor Zolotovitsky and Sergei Zemtsov. Despite daily classes that lasted from 7 a.m. to midnight, Dmitry was happy. He had never felt such unity, cohesion with the team and opportunities for creative realization.

Introduction to theater arts

Vlaskin lived as an American for four whole years. Here he received his education as a psychologist, after which he returned to his native Moscow for the holidays. A few months later, the guy had to return to the USA in order to continue training and become a professional tennis player. However, Dmitry Vlaskin decided to stay in Russia, and the reason for this was another accident. The guy went to St. Petersburg to see his sister, who was studying at the acting department at a theater university. Vlaskin was lucky enough to attend a rehearsal of the play “Don’t Part With Your Loved Ones,” where he became imbued with the acting and atmosphere of the theater. During the rehearsal, one of the artists uttered a heartbreaking phrase, after which Dmitry Vlaskin could not hold back his tears. At that moment, he decided for himself that there is no better profession than one that allows you to touch the hearts of other people.

As a result, Dima decides to stay in Moscow, and in the summer of 2009 he enters the Moscow Art Theater (Moscow Art Theater School). Here he studies under the guidance of teacher Igor Zolotovitsky (Russian theater and film actor). In 2014, Dmitry Vlaskin successfully completed his studies and received his long-awaited diploma.

Career on stage and in front of the camera

After graduating from university, Vlaskin became part of the Moscow Chekhov Art Theater. He appeared on stage in the plays “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” (based on L. Ustinova and Oleg Tabakov), in “The Pickwick Club” based on Dickens and “The Straw Hat from Italy”.

Dmitry was invited to play in TV series while still studying. In 2013, viewers first saw the actor in “Studio 17” on the TNT channel. The following year, the film “Jolly Fellows” was released, where the actor starred with Ivan Dorn.

Due to his rapidly developing career, the young actor even missed his graduation at the Moscow Art Theater. But his classmates were not at a loss and “introduced” their friend with a framed portrait. Where was Dmitry when his entire course received long-awaited diplomas? It's simple: he auditioned for the role of Dmitry Bolmatov in the second season of the series "Fizruk". And not in vain, because after the role of the nephew of the bandit Foma (Dmitry Nagiyev), they began to recognize him on the streets.

Morning interview. Dmitry Vlaskin His hero is a guy from the street who is ready to go over other people’s heads for the sake of success. He comes to Moscow from the provinces and tries to settle in a new place. The actor said that in creating the image he was inspired by Nathan (Robert Sheehan) from the TV series Misfits and Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) from the TV series Breaking Bad. In general, he and the hero had little in common, so he had to “spy” on the guys on the streets.

Still from the series “Fizruk”

In 2020, the films “Red” and the melodrama “Elastico” with Irina Antonenko and Alexey Maklakov were released, a year later - the comedy series “The Phantom of the Opera” with Garik Kharlamov.

In “Elastico” he again appeared in the image of a simple boy “from the area”, but no longer the narrow-minded Dimas, but the sensitive romantic Matvey. His hero faces a dilemma: a sports career and a ticket out of a remote province, or a beloved girl and vegetating in poverty?

Dmitry Vlaskin from Fizruk: I’m not a gopnik, and I have to move on

27-year-old Dmitry Vlaskin, of course, is known to viewers as Dimas, a young impudent man from the city of Bataysk in the TV series “Fizruk.” But in general, this series is not the only one in which the artist’s creative wealth is rich. He actively acts in films and plays in the theater. In honor of the premiere of the new film, Elastico met with fans in several cities. I also visited Novosibirsk - gave autographs and took pictures with the audience.

After all, the guy is mostly known from youth TV series. But we will start the conversation with the stage theme.

— How do you feel about experiments in modern theater?

— I like it, if it doesn’t go to some extreme things. They ask me: “Would you act naked? Would you perform a scene completely naked in the theater?” I will say: yes, if it is justified, if it has meaning and significance. Sometimes, in Russian theatrical activity, a feature appears only for the sake of a feature. There is a play “Mueller's Machine”, where, they say, everyone runs around the stage completely naked. I haven't seen it yet, but I definitely have to go see it to understand.

— Elastico, a new film with your participation, is coming to the cinema. While playing it, did you have to do things that went beyond the usual boundaries of what was acceptable?

— In this film I constantly “gained meat.” The script is good, but I understood that it could just turn out to be some kind of melodrama on the channel. Director Mikhail Raskhodnikov sat in the evenings, discussed some scene and found out what it would be like if it really happened? There is one scene in the film in which I had to overcome myself. Straight out loud. I understood that this scene was important, but it was very difficult to act. I came up with the emotion myself, but you can’t play it! I hope it worked.

— Is this a common situation when an actor is closely involved in finalizing the script?

“It happens that an actor comes, acts in a scene and sits and waits. I can’t do this, I want to always control the situation. This is both a problem and an important point. But a young director like Misha listens to me. But with adult directors this will be problematic. I’ll want to say something, and he’ll think: “What the hell is this actor doing?”

A large-scale film “Viking” will be released soon, where Danila Kozlovsky plays. I have a cameo, inconspicuous role there. This is a film where I was completely silent, because it was so difficult and the filming technology was so ahead of my consciousness... But in general, when we do something together, we answer, I think, together.

— Alexey Maklakov, a native of Novosibirsk, also played with you in Elastico. Have you worked together?

— For me, he is a man-movie. It seemed to me that he came and did everything to make things bad: “What is this? What are you playing here? What the hell is this in the script? And you begin to believe him, try to figure it out. He begins to offer something of his own. It already seems that the stage is completely destroyed. But little by little we begin to rehearse it with a different attitude, and I understand that yes, this is a film! He deceived us. He sorted everything out specifically so that we could feel everything, and everything came together in a real way. He needs to destroy everything, so that later he can collect everything piece by piece. I'm happy to work with him. What am I going to say about him? I'm some kind of...

— Your hero plays deftly on the football field. Did you perform the feints yourself?

— I tried very hard, but there was an understudy. I have one football work, an eight-episode film, which has not yet been released. I played Eduard Streltsov , a Soviet football player. And I trained for two months, I already had some kind of preparation. When I was invited to Elastico, I trained for another month. That’s how I’ve played tennis all my life, but now I’ve learned to do many things myself.

— Are you involved in the fourth season of the series “Fizruk”?

- No, and I’m very happy about it. That is, I would like to participate in this project, but I’m glad that I didn’t have the chance. Because I need to get away from the media that followed me. Dimas is great. But I'm not like that. It offends me to hear that someone, after watching Elastico, says: well, of course, he’s playing a gopnik again. And my hero is not a gopnik at all, but a guy from the area, and I did global spiritual work in this role. “Fizruk” is enough for me, I have to move on. But I am grateful to fate for this project.

Personal life of Dmitry Vlaskin

The actor was credited with a dizzying affair with his colleague on the set of Fizruk, Polina Grenz. Allegedly, while working on the series, a spark flashed between the young people. But both actors ignored these rumors.

In fact, the actor’s heart has been firmly occupied since his student days. After all, he found his soul mate even before his popularity among his classmates fell on his head. That very beloved and only one turned out to be Alexandra Kuzenkina, who studied at the Studio School on the course of Konstantin Raikin, now an employee of the popular theater “Satyricon” and star of the series “Hotel Eleon”.

Personal life

Dmitry Vlaskin’s personal life is already arranged, despite his young age. In July 2014, Dima married actress Alexandra Kuzenkina, with whom he studied at the Moscow Art Theater School in a parallel stream. The head of the girl’s course was Konstantin Raikin. The first acquaintance took place in the cafe “Darling, I’ll call you back” at the celebration on February 23, where all the “studio members” gathered.

Before formalizing the relationship, Dmitry and Sasha dated for 3 years. The wedding took place in the center of Vsevolod Meyerhold. Colleagues and friends of the young people attended the ceremony. Now Alexandra is a member of the Satyricon theater troupe; she played in the top-rated series “Hotel Eleon”, as well as a cameo role in the 2020 film adaptation of “Walking Through Torment”.

While working on the Fizruk project, rumors arose that Dmitry Vlaskin had an affair with the leading actress, Polina Grenz. But the artist himself did not comment on this information.

In 2020, Alexandra and Dmitry divorced. The reasons for the end of the relationship are unknown.

In October 2020, Dmitry Vlaskin married the actress of the TV series “Kitchen” Anna Begunova. It was the actor who insisted on formalizing the relationship, because Anna has always been a supporter of actual marriage.

The actor skillfully uses his popularity. At the suggestion of the Daniel Hetcher company, Dmitry became an ambassador of the company. This was also facilitated by the model parameters of the artist’s figure: with a height of 179 cm, his weight is 79 kg. Vlaskin appears in public places, at social events and in some photos on his personal Instagram account wearing branded items, positively influencing the image of the brand.

Dmitry Vlaskin now

Back in 2014, Dmitry Vlaskin worked on the mini-series “Under the Constellation of Sagittarius.” The project was dedicated to the “Russian Pele”, football player Eduard Streltsov, whose life was destroyed by an unfair accusation. Unfortunately, the premiere of the series is delayed for some reason. Anna Mikhailovskaya and Alexandra Bogdanova starred with Dmitry.

Dmitry Vlaskin played the football player Eduard Streltsov.
Also, the hero of Dima Vlaskin will appear in the 4th season of Fizruk, the premiere of which is scheduled for July 2020. It is known that in 2020 the full-length version of “Fizruk. The film will be called “Fizruk Saves Russia”; Dmitry Nagiyev, Anastasia Panina, Daniil Vakhrushev and Vladimir Sychev have already given their consent to participate in the project. Perhaps Dmitry Vlaskin will also join the cast.
