Masha was born in Yaroslavl, in the family of director and actor of the drama theater Alexander Gorban and Youth Theater actress Larisa Zibrova. The baby’s uncle was also an artist. Masha’s cousin took the same path when he grew up. When the girl turned 6, the family moved to Moscow.
The capital received the family well. Her parents quickly got jobs in theaters and Masha grew up behind the scenes. In one of her interviews, she recalls that her mother played on stage until the last month, and Masha herself remembers well how, as a very little girl, she sat backstage during a rehearsal and slowly, intently peeled an egg.
Clownness
However, in addition to the theater, Masha also adored the circus. In various interviews, she will tell you more than once how much she loves clowns. “I wanted to be a clown, to play completely different roles that were not tied to appearance. Anyone can put on a beautiful dress, walk on stage and be on camera,” Gorban will say.
But while still a schoolgirl, she tried herself on the theater stage - and away she went. In one of my dad’s performances in Satyricon, an actress fell ill, and he asked Masha to replace her. She also got involved in filming by accident. I came with my brother to the pavilion where one of the first Russian teenage series “Simple Truths” was filmed - just to gawk, and they called her into the frame.

Genes
It is known that initially my parents did not really approve of the idea of becoming an actress. Dad, who had suffered through everything in the theater both during Perestroika and in the 1990s, wished his daughter a completely different future. He told me to become a producer to earn money. Masha agreed. However, closer to graduation, the genes took their toll.
The actress entered GITIS, conquering the examination committee with her comedic charisma. But the master of the course, Boris Morozov, did not want to see Masha only in funny roles. She recalls that teachers actively nurtured her dramatic streak: they trusted her with roles in “Three Sisters” and then in “The Brothers Karamazov.”
Looking for in her character at least something similar to the lyrical and strict heroines, Masha withdrew into herself, sometimes broke down, cried and even fell into real depression. She liked more lively and multi-layered heroines.

Maria Gorban was born on December 26, 1986 in Yaroslavl into a family of actors[1]: her father, Alexander Gorban (1960-2015), was an actor and then a director at the Drama Theater. F. Volkova, mother - Larisa Zibrova, actress of the Yaroslavl Youth Theater. When Maria was 6 years old, her family moved to Moscow[2].
In 2007 she graduated from the acting department of GITIS (course of Boris Morozov). Graduation performances: “The Nameless Star” by Mikhail Sebastian, “Three Sisters” by A.P. Chekhov, “The Mandate” by Nikolai Erdman.
She first appeared on screen in the popular youth television series “Simple Truths,” where she was brought by her brother Alexei Sutyagin, who was already filming there.

Having a good figure and skin takes work. Maria has not eaten meat for many years, refuses snacks and prefers to be hungry if she has nothing but flour on hand right now. She's a mother
In an interview, Gorban says that she experienced terrible toxicosis for almost the entire 9 months. For the first five months, Maria was involved in the filming of “Kitchen,” and in this series they cook for real. About meeting her current husband, Masha will say that it was like in a movie: “she looked up and saw a tanned blond man in front of her.” She met cameraman Kirill Zotkin on the set, however, despite the girl’s love, the relationship began a little later.
The couple got married in 2016. Both are understanding of each other's work and frequent absences from home. However, they also spend a lot of time together. Their favorite place is Sri Lanka. Zotkin has a small business there, and Masha enjoys surfing and teaching little Stefania how to use a board.
