Natalya Vladimirovna Mogilenets
(Ukrainian Natalia Volodymyrivna Mogilinets), better known as
Misha Romanova
(Ukrainian Misha Romanova; born August 3, 1990, Kherson) is a Ukrainian singer, winner of the show “I Want V VIA Gro”, lead singer of the pop group “VIA Gra”.
Biography
Natalya Mogilenets was born on August 3, 1990 in the city of Kherson. She graduated from the 9th grade of Kherson School No. 8. As a child, she suffered from a stutter. To save her from this speech disorder, doctors advised her parents to send their daughter to vocal lessons[1].
In 2001, Natalya entered the Kherson children's vocal studio of the Neftyanik Palace of Culture. She sang in an ensemble, then became a soloist. She won prizes at all-Ukrainian competitions, including “Little Stars”, “Carousel of Melodies” and “World of Talents”[1].
In 2007 she entered the Kyiv Municipal Academy of Variety and Circus Arts, from which she graduated in 2012[1].
In 2012 she began her career as a pop singer. Its producer was Alan Badoev[2]. Natalya took the stage name Misha Romanova
.
According to her, Misha
and
Romanov
are the first and last names of two young people with whom she was in love[3][1]. The first song “Weightless” was written for her by Max Barskikh[4], with whom she has been friends since childhood[5]. Misha Romanova's stage debut took place in the city of Gorlovka, where she sang the song “Don't Trust Me” in a duet with Max Barskikh[2].
In 2013, she took part in the show “I Want V VIA Gro”. At this show, Misha Romanova, Erica Herceg and Anastasia Kozhevnikova formed a team under the leadership of mentor Nadezhda Meikher. In the finals of the show, they took first place and became the new members of the VIA Gra group[6].
According to data for 2013, with a height of 175 cm, her weight was 52 kg, and her figure parameters were 82-60-90[7]. In 2020, together with Max Barskikh, she starred in an erotic photo shoot for the Ukrainian magazine “XXL”[8][9].
Misha Romanova's childhood
Misha Romanova's real name is Natalya Mogilenets. The girl was born into a poor family from Kherson and spent her entire childhood in this ancient city. Natasha's parents worked at a tannery. As a very young child, she experienced severe stress due to a quarrel between her parents, after which she began to stutter. The illness led to difficulties in communicating with peers, therefore, on the advice of doctors, Natasha was sent to a vocal studio.

Relatives did not believe in success, but singing really helped Natalya get rid of her stuttering, and in addition, find her dream of becoming a professional singer.

At the age of 11, the girl was enrolled in the Neftyanik children's vocal studio. The talent of young Mogilenets was noted by experienced teachers, and she was made a studio soloist. Later, the girl became the right hand, an indispensable assistant to the head of the circle. The studio began sending Natasha to various competitions, in which she won over and over again: “Little Stars”, “Carousel of Melodies”, “Light of Talents”.
However, the father of the future singer saw his daughter exclusively in police uniform. Therefore, after graduating from school No. 8, together with Nikolai Bortnik - her friend from Kherson, the future Max Barskikh - Natasha came to Kyiv to enter the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Misha Romanova and Max Barskikh have been friends since childhood
They did not qualify for government-funded places, and the girl’s poor family could not pay for the expensive education. After failure, Natalya applied to the Kiev Variety and Circus School in the capital of Ukraine and five years later she successfully graduated.

Misha's celebrity boyfriends
Romanova is not willing to share about her love relationships. In one of the interviews, the girl let slip that during her student life, she met Max Barskikh. For some time they even lived under the same roof, but what caused the relationship to move to a friendly level remains unknown.
In 2020, photographs of Misha in company with an enviable Russian groom, Yegor Creed, appeared in the media. Young people often met each other at thematic celebrations, participated in the same projects, and attended cultural events. But there was no official confirmation of the love relationship from either Romanova or Creed.
Misha’s last fictitious or real boyfriend, according to the yellow press, was a member of the MBAND group, Vladislav Ramm. Whether this is true or just another fabrication, time will tell.

Misha Romanova in VIA Gre
Natalya Mogilenets's career began when she met Alan Badoev, a famous music video director and producer, who immediately appreciated the girl's talent.
He took Natalya’s patronage and produced the release of the songs “Don’t Trust Me”, “Call Me” and “I Don’t Want to Know Anymore” - a duet between Max Barskikh and Natalya, who by that time had taken the pseudonym Misha Romanova. As for the history of the pseudonym Misha Romanova, this name and surname seem to encode memories of two men. Mikhail was the name of Natalia's first love. Alas, that young man did not live up to her hopes, but remained forever in her heart. Romanov is the surname of another man, whose lover she passionately dreamed of becoming.
The original and touching pseudonym played an important role in Natalia’s victory in the reality show “I Want V VIA Gru”. The female sympathies were on the side of this headstrong, obstinate beauty, who retained a piece of a broken heart in her name.
“I want V VIA Gru”: Misha Romanova, casting
Having successfully passed the casting and an impressive number of other tests, she entered the “troika” with Erica Herceg and Anastasia Kozhevnikova, and Nadezhda Granovskaya became their mentor. After the victory, the trio began a radically new life under the sensitive production of Konstantin Meladze.
The first performance of the new “VIA Gra” took place on November 4, 2013 in the Kremlin. The audience accepted and fell in love with the new trio, which, by the way, became the seventeenth in a row and became the most “stable” in the entire history of the project.
With great success, VIA Gra began touring with old hits of past years, remade with new vocals, and soon a new hit appeared in their repertoire - “Truce”.
In the spring of 2014, VIA Gra released the single “I Got Another One,” which at the end of 2014 was included in the list of songs most often ordered on the radio. In the summer of 2014, the video for this song captivated Internet users and won a place in the “10,000,000 ELLO Club” for multi-million views. At the end of 2014, Misha Romanova and two other VIA Gra soloists were awarded the Golden Gramophone Award for the song “Truce”.
Misha Romanova in the show “Ukraine Speaks”
Almost all of Misha Romanova’s time is devoted to the VIA Gra group: filming, photo shoots, rehearsals, tours. The hard work of the soloists of the creative team is deservedly rewarded with the love of the audience, prizes (Muz-TV Award, Golden Gramophone), titles (the most titled pop group), victories in various shows and competitions. Starting in 2020, the group released the single and video “It Was Wonderful,” the single “Oxygen” (in a duet with Mot), and the song “So Much.”
In the summer of 2020, Misha Romanova starred with Max Barskikh in a candid photo shoot for the glossy magazine XXL.

Excerpt characterizing Misha Romanov
“Besides, Pyotr Nikolaich, having joined the guard, I am visible,” Berg continued, “and vacancies in the guards infantry are much more frequent.” Then, figure out for yourself how I could make a living out of two hundred and thirty rubles. “And I’m putting it aside and sending it to my father,” he continued, starting the ring. “La balance y est... [The balance is established...] A German is threshing a loaf of bread on the butt, comme dit le proverbe, [as the proverb says],” Shinshin said, shifting the amber to the other side of his mouth and winked at the count. The Count burst out laughing. Other guests, seeing that Shinshin was talking, came up to listen. Berg, not noticing either ridicule or indifference, continued to talk about how by transferring to the guard he had already won a rank in front of his comrades in the corps, how in wartime a company commander can be killed, and he, remaining senior in the company, can very easily be company commander, and how everyone in the regiment loves him, and how his daddy is pleased with him. Berg apparently enjoyed telling all this, and did not seem to suspect that other people might also have their own interests. But everything he told was so sweetly sedate, the naivety of his young egoism was so obvious that he disarmed his listeners. “Well, father, you will be in action in both the infantry and the cavalry; “This is what I predict for you,” said Shinshin, patting him on the shoulder and lowering his legs from the ottoman. Berg smiled happily. The Count, followed by the guests, went into the living room. There was that time before a dinner party when the assembled guests do not begin a long conversation in anticipation of the call for appetizers, but at the same time consider it necessary to move and not remain silent in order to show that they are not at all impatient to sit down at the table. The owners glance at the door and occasionally glance at each other. From these glances, guests try to guess who or what else they are waiting for: an important relative who is late, or food that is not yet ripe. Pierre arrived just before dinner and sat awkwardly in the middle of the living room on the first available chair, blocking everyone's path. The Countess wanted to force him to speak, but he naively looked through his glasses around him, as if looking for someone, and answered all the Countess’s questions in monosyllables. He was shy and alone did not notice it. Most of the guests, who knew his story with the bear, looked curiously at this big, fat and humble man, wondering how such a bumpkin and modest man could do such a thing to a policeman. -Have you arrived recently? - the countess asked him. “Oui, madame,” he answered, looking around. -Have you seen my husband? - Non, madame. [No, madam.] - He smiled completely inappropriately. – You, it seems, were recently in Paris? I think it's very interesting. – Very interesting.. The Countess exchanged glances with Anna Mikhailovna. Anna Mikhailovna realized that she was being asked to occupy this young man, and, sitting down next to him, began to talk about her father; but just like the countess, he answered her only in monosyllables. The guests were all busy with each other. Les Razoumovsky... ca a ete charmant... Vous etes bien bonne... La comtesse Apraksine... [The Razoumovskys... It was amazing... You are very kind... Countess Apraksina...] was heard from all sides. The Countess got up and went into the hall. - Marya Dmitrievna? – her voice was heard from the hall. “She’s the one,” a rough female voice was heard in response, and after that Marya Dmitrievna entered the room. All the young ladies and even the ladies, with the exception of the oldest ones, stood up. Marya Dmitrievna stopped at the door and, from the height of her corpulent body, holding high her fifty-year-old head with gray curls, looked around at the guests and, as if rolling up, slowly straightened the wide sleeves of her dress. Marya Dmitrievna always spoke Russian. “Dear birthday girl with the children,” she said in her loud, thick voice, suppressing all other sounds. “What, you old sinner,” she turned to the count, who was kissing her hand, “tea, are you bored in Moscow?” Is there anywhere to run the dogs? What should we do, father, this is how these birds will grow up...” She pointed to the girls. - Whether you want it or not, you have to look for suitors. - Well, what, my Cossack? (Marya Dmitrievna called Natasha a Cossack) - she said, caressing Natasha with her hand, who approached her hand without fear and cheerfully. – I know that the potion is a girl, but I love her. She took out pear-shaped yakhon earrings from her huge reticule and, giving them to Natasha, who was beaming and blushing for her birthday, immediately turned away from her and turned to Pierre. - Eh, eh! kind! “Come here,” she said in a feignedly quiet and thin voice. - Come on, my dear... And she menacingly rolled up her sleeves even higher. Pierre approached, naively looking at her through his glasses. - Come, come, my dear! I was the only one who told your father the truth when he had a chance, but God commands it to you. She paused. Everyone was silent, waiting for what would happen, and feeling that there was only a preface. - Good, nothing to say! good boy!... The father is lying on his bed, and he is amusing himself, putting the policeman on a bear. It's a shame, father, it's a shame! It would be better to go to war. She turned away and offered her hand to the count, who could hardly restrain himself from laughing. - Well, come to the table, I have tea, is it time? - said Marya Dmitrievna. The count walked ahead with Marya Dmitrievna; then the countess, who was led by a hussar colonel, the right person with whom Nikolai was supposed to catch up with the regiment. Anna Mikhailovna - with Shinshin. Berg shook hands with Vera. A smiling Julie Karagina went with Nikolai to the table. Behind them came other couples, stretching across the entire hall, and behind them, one by one, were children, tutors and governesses. The waiters began to stir, the chairs rattled, music began to play in the choir, and the guests took their seats. The sounds of the count's home music were replaced by the sounds of knives and forks, the chatter of guests, and the quiet steps of waiters.
The father of Misha Romanova's child took revenge on her for the “wrong” interview
The 29-year-old pop star said in the YouTube show “Rumor Has It” that she suspects the reason for her ex-lover’s resentment. Most likely, according to Romanova, the child’s father did not like her answer to the question of who supported her during pregnancy. Then the girl replied that her parents, friends, and Max Barskikh helped her. Before this interview, the director rented an apartment to the singer; she did not even suspect that the apartment was rented and was not the property of the man. He put her out on the street, offering to pay the bills herself, or send them to those who “provided support during pregnancy.” The ex-lover said that their next meeting will take place in 16 years.
The singer noted that she could have hurt the feelings of the child’s father, since she was in a difficult emotional state during that interview. At the same time, Misha still considers such an act cruel to his son. She said that after this story she realized that pride and pride in men can overshadow common sense. Romanova emphasized that she couldn’t understand how anyone could put her own child on the street.
