Is love over? Rezo Gigineishvili broke up with Nadezhda Obolentseva

Rezo Gigineishvili and Nadezhda Obolentseva first spoke about their relationship in an interview with the editor-in-chief of OK! Vadim Vernik.

Rezo Gigineishvili and Nadezhda Obolentseva have an amazingly subtle feel for each other. I have been convinced of this more than once during our personal friendly interactions. They exist on the same wavelength, united by a similar sense of humor. Well, we did an interview with Rezo and Nadya on the eve of the premiere of director Gigineishvili’s film “The Sober Driver.” Nadya did not star in the film, but her participation in the filming process turned out to be no less important. Rezo set the tone of the conversation: I didn’t even have time to ask my first question.

Rezo: You know, Vadim, in Georgia they say: “Mountains are like X-rays.” When you go to the mountains with someone, then under certain conditions this person reveals himself differently. You can know him for years, in urban settings (“hi-hi”), but here everything is different. The filming of “The Sober Driver” became these “mountains” for Nadya and me. (Laughs.) Nadezhda was able to experience all the delights of filmmaking: we had to shoot quickly, which means intensely. Nadya opened up to me - as a comrade-in-arms, as a friend, as a fighter. It’s one thing - you went to a friend’s place on set, kissed him, spent a few minutes on the set and left with the words “how great it is that you’re making a movie.” It’s quite another to be inside this long, tedious process that requires a detailed and detailed approach to everything. I remember Nadya, who fell asleep right on the director’s chair closer to seven o’clock in the morning. We had quite a few night shifts. Of course, you can feign interest, but not for long. The one who is truly passionate about the process can truly be passionate about it. For example, when our film crew urgently needed something to eat, Nadya could run to a nearby cafe and bring us something to eat and drink from there. It's normal for a group to live like a family. In a word, she became like this.

Nadezhda: . personal assistant. (Laughs.) Once it turned out that Rezo had three night shifts in a row, and then I flew away to see friends for two days. At two o'clock in the afternoon I had to leave for the airport, and I only came from filming at one o'clock. Naturally, I arrived at the airport green, everyone looked at me in surprise and asked very sympathetically: “Nadya, what’s wrong with you!?” To which I already answered knowledgeably: “What do you think, this is easy? Filming a film is hellish work!” Despite the fact that during the filming I was simply supported by Revaz Davidovich. (Smiles.)

R: Nadya made her own conclusion about what a difficult process filming is.

N.: Uninitiated people have a strong feeling that cinema is a complete dolche vita: bars, parties and premieres.

R.: Well, yes, Nadya’s main phrase was: “If I knew that you work so hard, I would never in my life even allow you to argue or quarrel.”

N.: . Before shooting, please note. (Laughs.)

R.: Well, then women forget what they said before, this often happens. And men sometimes forget.

N.: Seriously, during filming, of course, I looked differently at Rezo and what he does. It was one thing when I was with him at Kinotavr: the red carpet, endless cameras, a veranda on the seashore, where we all danced until the morning. And a completely different picture - on those same night shoots.

R.: On the set, Nadya could see me in a completely unsightly form - dirty, dressed in an unknown way, crawling in the forest, and all this is still associated with nerves, because the film process is never structured in such a way that it is completely to please the creators , let's say so. It’s also exhausting that you’re being pulled apart by different departments: you have to meet the deadline, but there are problems with the organization. Everything in general is associated with a huge number of problems. We blocked the streets during filming and organized races in the historical center of Moscow. By the way, for allowing such things, many thanks to the Moscow government.

N.: I suddenly found out how loudly Rezo can scream! He could shout to another person who was at that moment on a parallel street. I saw Rezo in battle. (Laughs.)

The main thing is that Rezo did not fight with windmills on the set and achieved high-quality results.

R.: I’ll tell you, Vadik, that there is no other such beautiful Sancho Panza. (Everyone laughs.) Nadya was a faithful squire. You know, when photographing artists, I always try to create all the conditions for them so that they are surrounded by love. Because no matter how old they are (and you know the artist’s nature very well), all the same, these are people who need to open up in certain circumstances, to be naked or something. I try to create an atmosphere on set in such a way that every member of the crew is focused on making the artist feel comfortable. After all, in fact, these people, the group, are the first spectators of the artist’s performance. I’ll tell you a secret, the director also needs the first viewer. In “The Sober Driver,” this viewer for me was partly Nadya. I had great doubts, for example, when I started filming this film, because before that I had made a film in a completely different genre.

I understand you, Rezo. Your previous film “Hostages” is a drama, a tragic story that requires not only the creators, but also the audience, enormous emotional stress. And now - a 180 degree turn. “Sober Driver” is one hundred percent comedy.

R.: Yes, yes, “Hostages” was a long, grueling process for me, although a very interesting one, which developed me, and I am grateful for this path. After such a scale, which requires great mental expenditure from you, a certain devastation sets in. And I decided that I needed to change my focus and turn to a completely different topic that could allow me to reset, or something. This became a definite challenge for me, a test. For example, I shot, it’s scary to say, 14 years ago the film “Heat” about Moscow.

This is a romantic love story.

R.: . a funny story. Now I understand that the film has become a document of time.

Absolutely.

R.: In general, then, thanks to “Heat,” I suddenly crawled out of the nightmare of the 90s, from some military operations or charred black Tbilisi - there was a premonition that the 2000s were ahead. I remember how we were waiting for the onset of the millennium, it was a certain stage. And on these wings we sang our song - it was similar to what you see in photographs of people at the beginning of the century: these eyes, looking with hope into the future. With this emotion, describing all the joy that filled me, we released “Heat”, which was very successful commercially. Although I remember what a blow it was for me when some people I respected began to somewhat arrogantly discuss a generally defenseless easy story.

. and even filmed by a debutant director.

R.: Over time, I began to acquire a shell, so now, in principle, it is difficult to dislodge me: I know where I am going - I have this immunity. When I started working on Sober Driver, I honestly wondered if I had become hardened, if I could retain such qualities that would allow me to return to the theme of the big city. How will I see the modern city and will I be able to be as easy in the storytelling? I wanted to answer these questions for myself.

This is interesting: How to make up the wings of your eyes with eyeliner

And what city is this?

R.: I smile internally when I watch a line of huge tank cars with guards waiting for their bosses outside the restaurants. It’s probably like in medieval Italy: security-security-security - as if matters of national importance were being decided at one or another nightclub. And I thought: what is the microcosm, the cosmos of these people? What kind of relationship exists between drivers and security guards who spend a lot of time just waiting? What are they doing at this time: playing cities? transfer disks to each other? looking at Instagram or discussing their bosses who are eating in a restaurant at that moment? Or these drunken people running out into the streets, out of emotion, waiting for a “sober driver”? This is such a slightly absurd profession: every night a person gets behind the wheel of someone else’s expensive car, and who does he meet there? A drunk owner with equally drunk friends or girls? Or, to celebrate, you can take an accordion player with you, who plays along with something, and rush off, as it was before - on a sleigh, in a troika, with gypsies. And to this I would also like to add that people in the modern world sometimes pretend to be someone other than who they are, because today, thanks to Instagram, it is very easy to pretend that you live the same life as the stars, posing as someone you are not . And where is the line between the dream of a different life and reality.

In general, I was intrigued, Rezo, to the fullest. By the way, I’m interested to see how Andrei Burkovsky played the main character. He told me how delighted he was with the filming process. An unexpected moment is the choice of composer. This is Ivan Dorn.

R.: I am very grateful to Vanya for agreeing to collaborate. I like his music. Ivan is very individual, he has a huge number of fans. I called - it turned out that he also likes my films, and somehow we talked very easily. Vanya has wonderful guys in Kyiv - in his studio “Workshop”. Nadya was surprised when she heard how we worked with them: I walked down the street and sang this or that theme on voice mail, as it should be, and immediately received an answer, a version with a note: is there a bass or trombone part? If you listen, this is not correspondence, but communication between crazy people humming different melodies to each other. (Smiles.)

The film has already been released and is beginning to live its own life. What's next?

R.: Now is the off-season period. And Nadya is helping me cope with this transition period.

Are you looking for a new story?

R.: I have already felt and am trying to somehow pick it up, to break through in my subconscious the atmosphere that will help me grasp a topic that is important to me. By the way, music helps me with this. For example, “Styx” by Gia Kancheli helped me a lot with intonation when I took on “Hostages.” The music told me how to shoot, what the intonation of the film would be.

Well, I’m really looking forward to your next picture, Rezo Gigineishvili! So you say that Nadya helps you in a situation when a new plan is brewing. What do you mean?

R: Look. Why do we become directors or writers? This comes from loneliness, from the need to share with someone what worries you very much. If there is a person nearby who understands you and with whom it is interesting to discuss something, this is help, in essence. This is what allows you to overcome your global, let’s say, loneliness. This is cool. Great.

Nadya, do you remember how we met?

N.: I remember. (Laughs.) Your brother Igor is on the “Seventh Sense” program, which he hosted on Channel One. It was, I think, 2000.

R: What kind of program is this?

N.: About how to find your love. (Laughs.) I had just entered Moscow State University to study journalism.

Nadya was the heroine of the program and, by the way, she behaved perfectly in the frame. She was emotional and relaxed in front of the camera.

N.: You see, Rezo directed me in the short film “Widows” (which we did for the charity evening of Sveta Bondarchuk and Zhenya Popova Action!), and I had an incredible fear of forgetting the text!

R.: In fact, I think that very little can scare Nadya. And about the fear of “forgetting the text” - this is coquetry.

That is, Nadya can expect a new invitation from director Gigineishvili?

R.: I don’t like photographing people I know well. I’m completely squeezed here, because I know how certain people express themselves in normal life, and it always seems to me that now, on the set, something is underacted or overacted. I cannot be objective about close people when they are in the frame. I had such a case when I was filming with a whole constellation of amazing artists the multi-part feature film “Nine Months”, which was released on Channel One, and my sister, who speaks excellent Italian, was filming there - she was supposed to play an Italian. We (well, at least I) are often merciless to the people we love. Maybe this is my personal complex, but then it seemed to me that my sister was greatly inferior to everyone else in the frame. Having re-watched her episode over the years, I saw how precise and organic she was. And on the set I was very cruel towards my sister - then my directorial flair and delicacy were lost.

In short, Nadya, you still won’t see the main roles from Rezo.

R.: Wait, I can’t understand something: are you in agreement? Is this some kind of end in itself?

No, no, these are just my thoughts out loud. Fortunately, Nadya has a business that she has been passionate about for several years. I mean the intellectual club “418”, organized by you, Nadya, and Ira Kudrina. I enjoy going to your events and concerts.

N.: Thank you, Vadik. It all started six years ago, when there was no such active cultural life among the secular audience. We must have caught a wave. One day Ira says to me: “Listen, I have such a great French teacher, she talks so interestingly about literature,” and begins to tell me something. And I suddenly: “Let’s give a lecture. “Ten of our friends came, it was a success - it turned out that it was in demand. And then we began to organize lectures and concerts. The circle of club members grew rapidly.

R.: Thanks to the club, I saw absolutely amazing performances of modern ballet at the Context festival. I understand how important, if we talk about dance in general, for us, directors, is any gesture in the frame, this plasticity of movements. I can sincerely say that thanks to the “418” club, I heard Teodor Currentzis live for the first time. If we talk about our colleagues - theater directors or cinematographers, the club has become a platform for creative communication for them. This is an opportunity to meet people who could potentially further participate in their projects, and you can discuss important topics on the topic of the day. That is, this is a great opportunity to talk and connect different social strata.

This is interesting: What Happened to Aziza

This is great communication.

R.: Once the three of us went to Paris: with Nadya and with my friend Lasha Bugadze - he is probably one of the most erudite people in my life, he was the author of the script for “Hostages”. So, in Paris, walking with Nadya and Lasha, I suddenly discovered that I was left behind, cut off from communication, because Nadya began to remember some books that I didn’t even know about. I even forgot about the sights of Paris, and Lasha still turns to me and says: “Listen, old man, how is this possible, I thought they were such charming girls. “- this is a certain cliché of the perception of beautiful girls. To be honest, I still think that while Lasha was enchanted, Nadya was quietly googling. (Laughs.) In general, it was funny and it was such a source of my joy and pride.

Now you, Rezo, need to keep Google at hand all the time so that your communication with Nadya is equal.

R.: I’ll tell you another illustrative story. Recently Nadya and I were in India. Of course, it was great, exciting, wonderful. A great culture, and almost every person you encounter there is an introduction to a new civilization, a new world, philosophy, whatever. And this applies to everyone, from service personnel to yoga masters. We also love to walk, and we went on mountain hikes there. And if I see mountains, I am immediately drawn there. At the beginning of the journey there were two of us: me and Nadya.

N.: Another guide.

R.: Another guide, yes. We rose higher and higher, then one huge dog the size of a cow appeared in our company, it somehow immediately reacted to Nadya. Then the residents of the mountain villages that we came across along the way reacted to Nadya. Fascinated by Nadya, these people simply followed us. And now our entire large company and the dogs that had joined us were at the top of the mountain.

Straight out of a movie! Pure Federico Fellini.

R.: Nadya was very pleased because she was surrounded by everyone’s attention. In principle, I was also very pleased that nothing happened to me and that these dogs didn’t eat me!

Destroyed two families at once: Rezo Gigineishvili was accused of having an affair with a married socialite

anews.com
Nadezhda Obolentseva and her friend Svetlana Bondarchuk often appear at various events. Now the socialite has more free time, since a few months ago she divorced influential businessman Airat Iskhakov. They had a royal wedding in 2014 on Lake Como. Many celebrities were present: Glyuk'oZa, the Syutkin family, gallery owner Aidan Salakhova, the Yudashkin family, “Miss World” Ksenia Sukhinova. To entertain the guests, the newlyweds invited Sergei Shnurov, Mumiy Troll and Eros Ramazzotti.

However, the happiness did not last long. Obolentseva and Iskhakov divorced, causing a huge scandal. One of the reasons for the divorce was Airat’s reluctance to attend social events. He couldn't stand them.

Netizens are sure that Nadezhda met Rezo Gigineishvili, fell in love with him and therefore decided to leave Iskhakov. Besides, the director and Obolentseva were often seen together, for example, at the Kinotavr festival.

It is possible that Nadezhda and Rezo hid their relationship and met secretly. However, there were some “friends” of the lovers who told reporters all the details of the personal life of the newly-made couple. It turns out that Obolentseva and Gigineishvili began an affair when they were both in official relationships. It is possible that Mikhalkova filed for divorce precisely because of her husband’s infidelity.

The director himself does not care what people think about him.

“This causes a storm of emotions in people who focus their attention on nonsense,” Gigineishvili shared with RU.TV.

Rezo was also credited with having an affair with Galina Agapova. However, the press received a refutation, they are just close friends and nothing else connects them.

Nevertheless, Nadezhda Mikhalkova told StarHit that she has not lived with her husband for a year and a half. But only in September did she file for divorce, and already in October she officially dissolved her marriage. Why did Mikhalkova drag out time for so long, hoping that she could return her husband?

“The relationship has become so fractured that nothing can fix it... They tried for a long time to save the family just for the sake of the children,” said Nadezhda’s relatives.

Everything can change in an instant, no one is immune from unpleasant situations. However, life does not end with divorce. There will definitely be that same person who will love and care.

Nadezhda Obolentseva today

Having studied the biography of the businesswoman, it is worth saying that Nadezhda is a style icon and a keen connoisseur of fashion. You can be convinced of this just by looking at her photos on social networks. The woman has no problem understanding global brands and regularly attends fashion shows. People associate the name Obolentseva with wealth and luxury, which the businesswoman herself was accustomed to from an early age.

In the winter of 2020, the brainchild of Nadezhda and Irina Kudrina “Club 418” turned 6 years old. The celebration on this occasion was grandiose. Some sources said that Sergei Sobyanin was among the guests. In addition to members of the intellectual community, Sofiko Shevardnadze, Ksenia Sobchak, Ulyana Sergienko and Pavel Lungin were present at the celebration.

"Uncompromising luxury"

Nadezhda Obolentseva was born in the summer of 1983 into a family of diplomatic workers. “On my father’s side, I am a fourth-generation Muscovite, and on my women’s side, we have roots in Tashkent,” the it-girl herself says about her origins. And she adds that thanks to her parents she never felt the need. As a child, Obolentseva lived with her father and mother in Moscow: the girl was brought clothes from Europe, and boxes of fruit from Tashkent. After Nadya’s fifth birthday, the family moved to America, where the heiress was introduced to the culture, nature and sights of the country. Nadezhda experienced adolescence already in her hometown, in Moscow: as a teenager, she listened to rock, hung out with friends on the Arbat and proved to her parents with scandals that she did not need a personal driver.

The girl was brought to her senses by her passion for theater, instilled by her mother, and her studies at Moscow State University - Nadezhda graduated from the Faculty of Journalism and the Faculty of Art History. She became an author in a glossy magazine, a blogger and the founder of the closed intellectual club “418”. And also Svetlana Bondarchuk’s friend and socialite, whose name is often associated with the names of world brands, expensive resorts and other attributes of luxury.

“A big fan of Chanel, the client to whom Domenico Dolce personally sends gifts for the New Year does not cause any censure from the general public. Even if black caviar, a private jet and other signs of uncompromising luxury get into the frame. Nadya exists in the proposed circumstances completely naturally,” this is what glamor publications say about Obolentseva.

Rezo Gigineishvili: will the Georgian womanizer be tamed by a socialite

Nadezhda Obolentseva is a girl with two higher educations and the first editor of the gossip column of the Russian version of Tatler magazine. She is invited to all the most prestigious parties - not only in Russia, but also in Europe.

Nadezhda, together with Irina Kudrina and Alexey Bokov, brainstormed, which led to the creation of Club 418. The project is already four years old, but it is still gaining momentum.

Obolentseva admits that the community she created is a very personal project. The original idea boiled down to closed lectures, which would be given by authoritative speakers. The topics of such speeches were supposed to be very different: from culture, art, history to politics and economics.

Gradually, Club 418 expanded the scope of its activities. Now community members go to exhibitions together, communicate with interesting people, and organize film screenings.

“Club 418” is closed. You can get into it only on the recommendation of an existing member of the community. Having gained popularity in Moscow, the club opened a branch in St. Petersburg.

Today Nadezhda is not only a public figure, a chronicler for Tatler, but also a famous blogger. She tries to accompany every step with a post on Instagram. The lioness’s blog has a place for both gossip columns and outdoor recreation.

Obolentseva says she blogs mainly for her friends, and tens of thousands of fans follow her. But the most important thing, as it turned out today, is Rezo Gigineishvili, who the day before misled everyone with the appearance of the photograph. It shows the director hugging Maria Shalaeva. As it turned out, the man’s heart was already occupied by someone else at that time.

With darling heaven in Hollywood

The brunette's first serious relationship occurred during her student years: the titled figure skater Anton Sikharulidze fell in love with Nadezhda. The young people planned to get married in the summer of 2008, after the girl received her diploma. But the couple suddenly turned into a trio, and Nadezhda from a future wife into a runaway bride. The socialite broke up with the athlete for the sake of businessman Denis Mikhailov.

This is interesting: Description of perfume aromas by brand

Having become the wife of a millionaire, Obolentseva lived in the man’s “glass castle” in Upper Hollywood. Films with Julianne Moore and advertisements for Giorgio Armani were filmed in the heavenly residence, and Madonna and Ilya Lagutenko lived next door. Mikhailov conquered the brunette with beautiful courtship: he could take off his shirt and wipe a chair in a cafe that was wet after the rain so that his beloved would not ruin her dress, or fill Nadezhda’s room with a million—not figuratively speaking, but specifically—scarlet roses. But the endless bouquets, works of modern art and other gifts that the businessman did not skimp on did not keep Obolentseva close. “I think this is my biggest mistake in life,” the socialite later said about her first marriage.

Secular chroniclers talk about Nadezhda Obolentseva: “It is clear that she lives in the ‘luxury is the norm’ mode, and it was strange to ask whether her husband was shocked by the level of her needs.”

Wedding of the year - 2014

The girl met top manager of Neftegazindustriya Airat Iskhakov 11 years before the wedding, but at the first meeting (and many subsequent ones) she did not see a life partner in the oligarch. Iskhakov patiently waited for the fiery brunette’s location, watching her love ups and downs. And he achieved his goal: in 2014, Nadezhda became his wife. “At some point everything happened very quickly. I guess I have grown to the conscious need to respect my husband, be friends with him and be absolutely confident in him. He likes to pamper and surprise me,” Obolentseva said about her second wife.

The wedding of a socialite and an oligarch became the most discussed event of the summer of 2014, and even later they continued to talk about the magnificent celebration. And there was something to be surprised:

  • The lovers exchanged vows of love and fidelity on the shores of the Italian Lake Como, where one hundred and thirty guests arrived.
  • The bride chose two D&G dresses and a white sundress with a cherry pattern from Alexander Terekhov.
  • The cake, decorated with hundreds of colored roses, was delivered from a Milanese patisserie.
  • Graff brand diamond rings were made according to an individual sketch (the cost of the jewelry is estimated at 1 million euros).
  • Ivan Urgant, Eros Ramazzotti, Robbie Williams, Sergey Shnurov, the groups Mumiy Troll and Zveri performed at the celebration.

But this union of luxury and beauty did not last long - the couple separated in 2017. “They got divorced simply because they got divorced,” that’s how they explained what happened in a social gathering. Perhaps Iskhakov, who dreams of a classic family and children, was unable to place his wife at home, who lives for social events, film premieres and meetings with the intelligentsia.
