Singer Elina Chaga: “I treat rumors about my affair with Agutin with understanding” (Photo)

Elina Chaga's childhood and family

Elina was born in the Krasnodar region.
Her parents are lawyers, people with a serious profession, but her daughter has been drawn to music since childhood. At the age of three she sang on stage for the first time, at eight she wrote her first song, and at thirteen a song that she later performed more than once. Seeing the child’s musical inclinations, the parents enrolled Elina in the children’s group “Firefly”, which was located in the regional cultural center. The girl enjoyed going there for several years to practice choreography and sing. In "Firefly" she was the main soloist.

Chaga managed to win first place in Italy at an international competition called “Citta di Ostuni”. This was followed by the competitions “Song of the Year” and “Look at Me”, in which the talented performer became a participant.

When the girl was fifteen, her teacher Rosa Makaryan learned about the start of the selection for Junior Eurovision. She convinced her student and her parents that Elina was worth a try. So the young performer became a participant in the qualifying round, where she performed a song of her own composition. During the same period of time, she went to the casting of the “Minute of Fame” project, which did not go through, since her singing was considered too professional.

As a fifteen-year-old teenager, she once dreamed of singing with Alla Pugacheva. After graduating from school, Elina did not think twice about choosing a profession, becoming a student at the Rostov College of Arts. There she studied pop-jazz vocals. Deciding to move to the capital, the girl transferred to the third year of a similar college in Moscow (GMKEDI) and successfully graduated.

Elina Chaga: frank conversation about important things

We had been planning this interview for several months, but every time something got in the way. Apparently, fate itself wanted to set a time for the meeting. And now the long-awaited day has come. I look forward to a conversation with the young singer, whose song “No Exit in Sight” was the anthem of my last spring.

Elina Chaga warned that she would be delayed by literally half an hour, and when she arrived, she apologized for being late with a smile. With her beauty, talent and growing popularity, she does not have a hint of “star fever”. This girl just knows exactly what she wants, what needs to be done and how much work.

Elina Chaga is a singer who has proven that she is worthy of taking her place on stage. In this conversation, she talked about what “musical fast food” is, why producers “undress” girls and explained the difference between Russian and foreign music.

Artifex: First I want to ask you: when did you decide that you should shine on stage?

This understanding came in early childhood, even before I began to think consciously! (laughs) At about 11 months, standing against the wall, I sang along with Leonid Agutin: “Hop-hey-lala-ley!” Of course, she distorted all the words, because she did not yet know how to speak and did not even pronounce the word “mother”. My grandmother heard how I hit the notes perfectly, saw how I moved to the beat and said: “She will be a singer!” When I was three years old, I was sent to a children's club in the regional cultural center of the village of Kushchevskaya. Here I immediately became a soloist, because everyone was amazed by my rhythm and ear for music. For some time she defended the honor of the village, went to competitions, and then reached the All-Russian level.

Artifex: It turns out that music has been your hobby since childhood. What attracts you so much to this art form?

For me, this is a way of communication, my outlet. Now it may sound pretentious, but I am sure that people endowed with talent are conductors of something cosmic. And I really like it.

Artifex: But it also happens that talent is simply not allowed to reveal itself. I don’t want to touch on the well-worn topic of the show and the castings you went through, I’ll just say that the choice was not always fair. You were able to show your fighting spirit, but not everyone can do this. What do you need to do to be heard and your talent noticed?

I’ll tell you more: what most often happens is that truly talented people end up “overboard.” This happens when a person does not have willpower, core, or character. Many people really break down under the influence of current circumstances and failures. I know many examples when very talented guys quit the race. You see, now is the time for kitsch and fast food. People need everything that is fast and consumer-friendly. And often there is no talent behind it.

Artifex: We have already started talking about the “fast food society”. In your opinion, how does the trend of fast consumption influence modern music?

It is now very primitive and for me, as a musician, very boring. There are musicians who declare with pathos that they are so cool and write “music” that simply not everyone understands. It's not like that at all. There are always certain limits, beyond which everything turns out to be too much. There used to be a balance in the music industry. Let’s say that in the 80s there was a group called “Tender May,” which was frankly a mass product that sold out stadiums. But there was also Vladimir Presnyakov, and he cannot be classified as a mass-market type. He wrote incredible songs, sang coolly and filled the same stadiums. Unfortunately, there is no such balance now. And the scales tipped towards the mass market.

Artifex: But popular music, the so-called “pop”, of which you are a representative, is also a product of the mass market or not?

This poor genre has already been shamelessly desecrated so many times that a stable stereotype has developed! (laughs) We are so used to saying disparagingly: “pop”. But this is popular music, which has no different right to existence from rap, bard songs and other styles. I'm even a little offended when this genre is treated so disrespectfully. After all, he is the most in demand, no matter what they say about him and no matter how much they criticize him.

Artifex: There is another stereotype that is strongly associated with show business. Legends are told about how difficult it is for a fish to survive among toothy sharks. In your opinion, can show business hinder creative development?

Maybe. This is done in every possible way by program directors of television channels and radio stations, on whom the formation of the musical taste of society largely depends. Sometimes the radio plays just “bubblegum” - the same songs with the same samples. All this, of course, is justified by the demand for such a product. But it is radio stations that create the need for it. This is a double-edged sword.

Artifex: What should be the “correct” composition in our time?

Simple, but interesting at the same time. Writing a light melody and making it not primitive is very difficult. The song must have its own “face”. This applies to both the arrangement and the text, which should always have a “hook” that fits well with the ear.

Artifex: Do you manage to write such songs? What does it take to create a composition?

I need a good emotional “asshole”! (laughs) The song “I’ll be lost” was created in a fit of terrible anger and rage due to the fact that many radio stations refused to take my previous composition into rotation. They said she wasn't a hit. This news made me cry, because there were big plans for the song. And at that very moment, in tears, I sat down at the keys and gave myself the idea that I would write such a hit that all the radio stations in our country would be delighted. The main thing is to always think in the right direction.

Artifex: Tell me, what qualities, in your opinion, should a real musician have?

A competent musician who knows harmony and enjoys this knowledge must have hard work and perseverance. I cannot call myself a competent musician, because I am a terrible lazy person. I do everything based on my feelings and sensations. By the way, now among my peers there are fewer and fewer literate people. Of course, I can't say that this is good. But many rely on their ears, creativity and talent, because everything is built on samples and electronics. But in the end, live music will win. Personally, I hope so.

Artifex: You said that you do everything under the influence of feelings. Maybe this approach is still better than purely technical work with a rigid commercial basis thrown in there as well?

Here again there is a double-edged sword. For example, for my producer (Leonid Agutin - editor's note), it is probably not very good that he does not make a commercial product out of me and gives me free rein. That is, I practically do everything myself: I write lyrics and music, and then bring it to him for judgment. Another producer interested in commerce would have taken my clothes off long ago and sent me to appear in Playboy, and I would have sung stupid songs (laughs). I think that sooner or later I will achieve my goal without such extreme measures. And this path will be much more reliable than bright and instant “shots”, which are quickly forgotten.

Artifex: What helps you along the way?

Believe in yourself. She got stronger after I fell into a coma as a child. I was given a terrible diagnosis; I wouldn’t sit here with it anymore. But, despite everything and everyone, I survived. I hope this wasn't pointless. Now I want to create the eternal. Real music, not made for the needs of the day. We artists are a little selfish because we do what we do to gain a tiny bit of immortality and perpetuate our memory.

Artifex: Where does a musician’s inspiration lie?

I am inspired by people, paintings, creativity. Songs most often come at night, which is not very convenient! (laughs) Once I jumped up in the middle of the night because I was dreaming about a melody. But I really wanted to sleep, and I decided to record it in the morning. And, of course, I didn’t remember in the morning. It was terribly disappointing! After this incident, I swore that I would never put things off. I believe that everything comes when it is needed, and to the person who needs it. And when you show disdain, inspiration will stop coming.

Artifex: Since you no longer put things off until later, you will definitely have an answer if I ask what you are working on now?

My team and I stood at a crossroads for a long time and thought about what to release. There is a rhythmic song, there is a lyrical song and one song for a duet with a rapper. We decided to release the lyrics. Yes, it’s the easiest to write. Agree, we all know how to suffer, but we don’t always succeed in having sincere fun. Making a dance composition is very difficult. This requires a huge musical “baggage”. I have it, although sometimes writing the text is a big problem for me. I try to read a lot and watch films, but so far this is not always enough.

Artifex: Is it possible that if you watch a lot of movies and read a lot of books, you will learn to write great lyrics for songs? Doesn’t the rule work here: either it is there or it isn’t?

Of course, these things are connected. Everything reproduced by musicians is their experience, history and memory. And most importantly, you need to keep as many quality things as possible in this “chest” so that you can get something out of it at any moment. The larger this baggage, the better. What's wrong with being well-read? (laughs)

Artifex: You are already popular, but there is a downside to this fame. For example, people who are ready to find fault with any little thing just to throw out their negativity. Are you upset by the opinions of “armchair critics”?

Of course they are frustrating. But I noticed an interesting trend: it’s easier for our people to shit than to give a compliment. And shit where it is absolutely unjustified. I'll explain with my own example. In one music application I released a duet with Anne-Marie. The post received good comments from the foreign public, in which people paid attention to the vocals and the song. But when the same video became available to the Russian audience, some of our compatriots saw everything except the vocals. It would seem, what have I done to these people? It’s just that in our country they don’t like beautiful and talented people. If you sing well and are also a beauty, the smart ones will be sure that you are sleeping with someone. If you sing well, but don’t shine with beauty, then you’re just smart!

Artifex: It turns out that the difference between Russian and foreign listeners lies in attitude. And if we talk about the difference in the musical field?

This is heaven and earth. Unfortunately. I want to bring our music industry to the world level and prove that we are no worse. We have talented performers and we are a worthy music platform. There are other investments overseas and people who are more solvent. The situation in our country is quite deplorable. Entire stadiums do not gather here, because the cost of a ticket to a concert is equal to the average salary, and people often cannot afford it. In addition, to reach the global level it is important to be an innovator. In our country it is difficult to innovate, because everything has already been invented and sung a long time ago, and new things are most often not accepted. I will most likely no longer be an innovator, unfortunately. But, despite the fact that I am an artist of a popular genre, I don’t want to stand out with the kitsch that is so beloved now. I want to make real creativity, not a “dirty” story.

The beginning of the career of singer Elina Chaga

In Moscow, the girl did not waste time, trying to get into various musical projects, shows and competitions.
One of these projects was “Factor-A”. Several times the aspiring singer tried to get there, but, unfortunately, without success. She never made it into the final performances of the competition. Voice 2 - Elina Chaga - “Mercy” It is known that the singer Lolita Milyavskaya liked the song of her own composition, which she performed in front of the judges, so much that she invited Elina to buy it out. The song was called "Dream". During the performance, Alla Borisovna, who headed the jury, interrupted Chaga’s performance, not allowing the eighteen-year-old girl to finish singing. It’s not clear what Pugacheva didn’t like, however, she also asked Elina to bring her the song after listening, praising the contestant. All members of the jury voted for Chaga, but later it turned out that she was rejected. No one announced the reasons for such a categorical and unexpected refusal. The girl was sent home. In February 2013, the purposeful singer again tried to get onto Factor-A by going to a casting. This time she again reached the final round and again did not advance further, having been rejected. "Factor-A" was broadcast on Channel 2. The host was Philip Kirkorov. Residents of the Krasnodar Territory saw a charming, beautiful and musical girl on their screens for only a few seconds. After this failed attempt, one of the singer’s fans suggested that she organize a small tour to the Urals. She continues to work, receiving many offers for performances. It is known that Chaga plays the piano beautifully, writes good songs, performs in concerts, and also sings in restaurants.

Elina Chaga now

Now Elina Chaga continues to record new compositions and, according to rumors, is preparing for the release of an album. Also in the interview, the girl admitted that she had repeatedly received invitations to join one or another musical group, but was not yet ready to make such a decision.

- recalls the ex-wife of Mikhail Grushevsky, music video director Irina Mironova

Mountains of porno cassettes were found in the parodist's apartment

She is a famous music video director. Her creative life is a continuous series of enchanting successes. However, in your personal life - stand or fall. One of the most painful memories is a three-year affair with Leonid AGUTIN. They lived in a civil marriage, during which the singer continually brought home random girls... Then she met, as it seemed to her, the man of her dreams - Mikhail GRUSHEVSKY. However, the parodist turned out to be a doubly scoundrel. 10 years after the wedding, he left her with her child for the sake of a 22-year-old fashion model, and in addition, he stole money!

Irina Mironova

- a famous director who has shot more than 600 videos for
Pugacheva, Orbakaite, Kirkorov, Zemfira
and other stars of our stage. In July of this year, she divorced her husband, the parodist Mikhail Grushevsky.

At first glance, she is an absolutely happy, successful woman. A huge country mansion worth millions of dollars, a wonderful career, grandiose business plans, a charming 10-year-old daughter who dreams of becoming a pianist. But in Irina’s eyes there is bottomless sadness.

— Have you still not come to your senses after the divorce?

Unfortunately, I don't call it a divorce. I regard Mr. G.’s act as a base betrayal with cowardly theft. After all, divorce is different from divorce. You can get a divorce in a humane way: divide property, agree on the further education of your daughter and try to remain at least not enemies in the end. But in his case, everything happened absolutely bestially, which I did not expect at all!

I happily married the “weirdo.” And she naively believed that this would be a family forever. We were adults: I was 28, he was 38! And now he has ruined this family so much that I can only communicate with him through a lawyer.

While running away from home, he grabbed about a million rubles from our common safe! These were our common savings - several months' rent from renting out our 120-meter Moscow apartment, which, by the way, we bought together, but it was registered in his name. And he continues to receive money from tenants without sharing it with me. Well, and, apparently, I also lost my investments - the free money that I invested in the business of his friends - all the papers were also registered in my husband’s name. It’s good that at least the house that we built together, I was smart enough (thanks to my friends, they advised me) to write it down for two! Otherwise they would have evicted me and my child from this house right now! In addition, he completely discredited himself in the eyes of other people, leaving behind a bunch of debts, unpaid bills - in one second, the maintenance of our huge house, with all the employees, repairs, a child and then an expensive lawyer - everything hung on me! There is such a gap in my budget that it now does not allow me to bring my daughter from her mother to Moscow, and she will have to spend another year in Pushchino.

But Mr. G. bought himself an expensive car, clearly beyond his means, and even hired a driver who opens the door for him so that everyone can see: a star has arrived! In general, one gets the feeling that he went into complete isolation in order to take all these funny and quick pleasures from life, until the end of the world came in December 2012.

Boorish slacker

Maybe you still offended him, oppressed him? There was a reason: after all, over these 10 years, he gradually became a nobody from a popular artist. He is nowhere to be heard or seen...

Yes, he tells everyone that I, such a “bitch,” nagged him, poor thing, for all ten years of married life. And when he asked for a divorce, this “bitch” also kicked him out of the house! And his friends really feel sorry for him and are happy for him: finally the man has freedom, he has found himself a normal girl. Why did I oppress him? He already had complete freedom in his family! Lived as you wanted! He could come home at one or three in the morning, and I wouldn’t even ask where he was; he could rudely cut off all questions: “It’s none of your business, don’t meddle in my life.” And two years after the wedding, he somehow came out of the bedroom and said that he was tired of sex with me. We haven't had sex for eight years! Probably yes, he had girlfriends on the side - it is a medical fact that a man cannot go without a woman for too long. And I came to terms with this too. I even tried to ask him once: “Mish, tell me about your girls...” And he was very shy, by the way, and always came home to spend the night. I believed that sex was not the main thing in the family, the main thing was our cheerful friendship, our daughter, our family closeness... And I didn’t even blame him for the fact that he didn’t develop his creativity at all. At first, however, she tried to somehow shake him up: “Let’s make a comedy for you, make a movie, find people, and write a script especially for you!” - "No need!" Invited him to Natasha Koroleva’s

, so comedic, so appropriate, he didn’t even want to change into a suit: “I’m not interested in that!”
He acted like he was doing me a favor. Even Seryozha Drobotenko
remarked to him: “Mish, why don’t you listen to the director?”

I was mistaken in naively believing that I married a creative person who, like me, would strive to reach new and new standards. No, he is a simple man in the street who just wants to eat deliciously in a new restaurant and have fun talking with friends. I’m not an idiot to force something on a person that he doesn’t need. Why do I need his hysterics and screams: “If I don’t suit you, then let’s get a divorce”? So everything suited me...

- So why did you leave?

The man just went crazy. Midlife crisis in the absence of creative life, plus a new, young girl. For me, his departure was unexpected, but quite logical. Over the past two years, we have become completely disconnected. And we separated not as people of different characters - I perfectly understood that I was living with a complete egoist, prone to unreasonable narcissism and everyday hysterics. This was just interesting for me, as a director, to see: yeah, there are such people. No, we diverged as individuals - like airplanes that fly at different altitudes. Misha has his own life, I have mine. I have my own ambitions, but he simply doesn’t have them! Misha spent all his free time with friends - a group of men about his age, who, by the way, also abandoned their wives and children. And so they regularly gather in the sauna or watch football, discuss the latest gossip, have fun with young busty girls who change like gloves. They all have a stable income, and they don’t need anything else from life. And Misha is happy with them! And somehow, imperceptibly, over these two years he simplified himself to the utmost and fell into the blissful lifestyle, finally turning into a boorish slacker! It even got to the point that, without being embarrassed by my daughter and me, sitting in front of the TV, he could scratch his balls! And how noisily and loudly he left!

Best blowjob in Moscow

- Did you cheat on him? Rumor has it that you are gay. Was Zemfira your mistress?

That’s why there are rumors that, not feeling my husband’s interest in me, I didn’t give a damn about my appearance, completely in vain I made myself look like a bald head, shirts, pants, boots. By the way, when I was shooting a video for Lyudmila Gurchenko

and
Borya Moiseeva
, became friends with Lyudmila Markovna, and she blamed me for everything: “Mironova, why are you pretending to be Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya?! You need red lipstick!” For eight years I have not cheated on my husband, although I could have. But then I would have betrayed my principles and ideals. I also didn’t have love relationships with women, and I didn’t have any with Zemfira. But now I'm ready to try everything! I promise that I will radically change my image, become feminine and learn how to give the best blowjob in the city!

- Do you have a new man?

I don’t have any serious relationships, but I have very good sex! Yes, there was a lot of sex and tenderness. Of course, there is no talk of any marriage, but I will have as many lovers as my health allows. To my surprise, I discovered that I was a very enviable, rich bride. Here's a strange thing: when I felt like a free woman, men suddenly began to pay increased attention to me.

- But does Grushevsky love his daughter?

Of course, it’s his blood and looks very similar. There are feelings, but they will never become stronger than his love for himself. For example, if my daughter comes here on weekends, then for three days I don’t exist for others. But Misha can still go to football with his friends. If at this second his crazy love for his daughter prevents him from satisfying his love for himself, then he will still choose to satisfy his needs.

He left her! After he moved out, he somehow returned to pick up his things. And so we sit with our daughter, and he walks around the house, getting ready, rustling rags, fussing. And I sit and think: this is impossible, the person needs to say something good goodbye. And I say: “Don’t rush, think about everything! We love you and your daughter, you are our dear, we don’t want you to leave, we don’t want to live without you, we want to live with you! We always had fun. We’ll figure something out, you just have to figure it out...” And the daughter looks at him with eyes full of tears: “Daddy, don’t go!” And he: “I don’t want to live with you! I won’t leave you, but I won’t live with you!” And then in four months he only saw her a couple of times! This is betrayal! Now my lawyer calls him and asks: “Why don’t you help the family, don’t pay for the house?” And he replies: “Why should I pay for it if I don’t see my daughter. I demand that they give it to me twice a week from two to three.” And I laugh: “Why demand to hand her over, like some kind of monkey, to play around with, if he can calmly come to the house and talk to her. Yes, let him take her with him for at least six months! But there is no talk about this - it’s difficult to raise a child, and it was from such difficulties that he ran away.

Chocolate and porn

- Really, you, such a smart, advanced woman, didn’t immediately see what a nonentity this Mr. G. is?

Of course, I saw all these unpleasant features. We met on the ship, on the set of Full House. He brazenly pestered me - I immediately felt that he was not my man. Then we met by chance a year later. We had dinner at the restaurant. And I understood - a stranger, an outsider. Then a year later, again by accident, - and then he suddenly began to pour out his soul to me about how things weren’t working out for him with his girl. He lost weight and turned from a chubby guy into an interesting man. And I was so fascinated - apparently, I wanted something serious, and I myself proposed to him to get married, and he was very happy.

I came to his bachelor apartment, and the first impression was that I shuddered. It was the apartment of a super-egoist who gets quick pleasure from life. Imagine, in his kitchen all the shelves were filled with chocolate, and the shelves in the living room under the TV were filled with porn cassettes. Only porn! There were no other films there! And he wasn’t even shy about it! I remember my shock and horror, but I still stepped over it - out of curiosity, probably. And I also didn’t notice that before me he had a young woman with a child, whom he settled in an apartment next to his - not in his own, because then they would somehow embarrass him, but next to him! And so he supported them for a year, and the girl already called him dad. He and this woman were going to get married. But he got bored with her, and he complained to me, saying that he didn’t know what to do - this woman scolds him, screams at him.

And so we met a couple of times, and for some reason he decided that I was his girlfriend, and he simply kicked out that woman, exchanging her for me, who was younger and, most importantly, self-sufficient! This is very important for him: Mr. G. really doesn’t like to pay for anything! He believes that for him, a “star,” everything should be free! He treated her the same way he’s trying to treat me now - he gathered everyone and announced: “Thank you everyone, everyone is free!” I simply overestimated my capabilities. I put such weights on the scales that outweighed this lightweight morality of his and allowed him to remain in balance even with himself and in complete order in the eyes of others. Well, look for yourself: the man is well dressed, healthy, he has everything! And I supported him in everything! That is, all this was in him, but, like an abscess, it did not burst... But now it has burst! He got bored with our world with my daughter, like with a toy, he played with it and threw it away - and overnight he destroyed everything that had been built for ten years! I don't perceive him as a person anymore. The worst thing is that I’m afraid that my daughter might one day reject him, although in no case will I turn her against her dad.

But in the first two years, was there at least love passion? As they say, an experienced satirist will bring a woman to six sarcasms in one night...

Mr. G. does not like to bother himself with anything. The sex was so-so. And he's not Brad Pitt

Indeed! If you compare it with what’s happening in my life now, it wasn’t sex with Misha. I feel sorry for those women who will have sex with him now. He’s so lazy, the main thing for him is to get pleasure himself, but for a woman you have to try, move somehow! But he never had this desire, both psychologically and physically.

- He didn’t satisfy you in bed?

No! But I wasn't upset about it. I just wanted to live in a family, with my loved ones: my daughter and my husband. And I pushed all my sexual desires, although not of my own free will, far away.

- Okay, you can’t compare him with Brad Pitt, but at least with Leonid Agutin, with whom you had an affair?

Agutin was a wonderful lover!

- So what now?

Of course, for me this is an incentive to rethink a lot and make a great, cool movie. I now have a new life, and I just threw away that chip with fragments of my life with Mr. G....

Elina Chaga on the project “Voice 2”

These seemingly failures only made the girl stronger.
She is not going to deviate from her goals and is confidently moving towards her dream of becoming a singer. Elina became a participant in the show “Voice 2”, held as part of Channel One. As Chaga said, she was supposed to audition for the first “Voice,” but when she was waiting for her turn to sing, they stopped filming. A year later, everyone who did not have time to make it to the last “Voice” was invited again. Voice 2 - Elina Chaga - “About Him” When she appeared at the audition, it immediately became clear that the girl standing before the jury was a beautiful and impressive girl. Producers are happy to invite people like her to girl pop groups, which are created precisely to please the viewer’s eye. This use of talent is not an acceptable option for Elina. She wants to prove that she has talent despite her spectacular appearance and wants to achieve results on stage. She chose the song “Mercy”, performed by the British singer Duffy. Chaga had an excellent stage presence and successfully demonstrated her vocal abilities. It seemed that it was not Chaga who was singing, but Duffy herself. It is possible that the jury would like to hear the author’s performance, but the fact that the contestant was exactly in tune and the notes and showed excellent vocals indicated that she was seriously preparing for the audition.

Elina Chaga and Philip Kirkorov

Both Leonid Agutin and Pelageya liked Chaga and advanced to the next round. Elina chose Agutin because she believes that he is close to her in spirit, although the girl also really likes Pelageya and her work.

The next stage of the project was a knockout competition. On it, the singer performed the song “History Repeating”. Excellent performance ensured Chaga's passage to the next round.

Elina failed to advance to the semifinals. Of the three people, the audience and the mentor had to choose one. The singer performed the song “About Him” by Irina Dubtsova. It cannot be said that the girl was not upset because she dropped out of the fight. However, it was reassuring that all her performances were very worthy, she demonstrated her vocal abilities and talent to the whole country. Now many people know her. Irina Dubtsova, whose song Chaga performed, praised the young performer after the show.

Elina Chaga: “I was worried about my parents’ reaction when they accused me of having an affair with Agutin”

Elina Chaga

Fortunately, everything worked out. Now Elina, having left her comfort zone, is ready for new achievements and is preparing a lot of new things for her fans. In an interview with StarHit, she told how Leonid Nikolaevich reacted to her departure, and whether her relationship with Anzhelika Varum changed after gossip appeared about her stormy romance with him.

— Elina, you were taken aback by your message about leaving Agutin, with whom you worked for five years. Tell me, how did Leonid himself react to your decision?

This was not a surprise. Our cooperation came to its logical conclusion upon the expiration of the contract.

Elina and Agutin's contract expired this year

— Recently, an affair was attributed to you... How did these rumors affect your personal life? Did this deteriorate your relationship with Agutin and Angelika Varum?

My relationship with no one has deteriorated. I was more worried about the reaction of my parents, since they are far from the world of show business. Fortunately, they reacted adequately, knowing me and understanding that all the rumors were fantasies of the yellow press.

— What kind of mentor was Agutin?

He was demanding and knew how to rejoice in the successes of his charges.

— Have you ever had any conflicts? If yes, then why?

There were, of course, but there were at most two of them. Both are associated with creativity. At some points our opinions differed, but we tried to find compromises.

— Isn’t it scary to go, so to speak, on an independent voyage?

A little scary, yes. I'm now leaving my comfort zone, but I hope that this will provide an incentive for further creative development.

Elina has collaborated with Levan Gorozia

— In general, does what happens at work affect your personal life?

Undoubtedly. No matter how hard I try not to mix my personal life with work, they are interconnected. For example, it’s easier for me to write when passions flare up and difficulties arise in my personal life. This year I had a difficult relationship, and this inspired me to new songs, filming and projects. I even started writing poetry.

- By the way, is your heart free?

This year I had changes not only in my work, but also in my personal life. It’s too early to talk about details.

— Imagine: if you had a choice: family and children or a brilliant career in show business, what would you choose?

I am one of those people who can combine it all. But if the question is categorical and, if we talk about exactly what is happening now, I choose a career. I have not yet found the right person to start a family.

There are a lot of rumors around Elina today

— You recorded a duet with Levan Gorozia, who recently left Timati’s label. Did you bond over leaving the producers or through creativity?

It's just a coincidence. When we were going to record a duet, I didn’t know that his contract was also ending.

— How will your new work now differ from the previous one?

It is already different. The songs, the image, even my voice are different - it has become lower and denser.

Personal life of Elin Chaga

Chaga is currently single.
She has a boyfriend. The girl is grateful to her fans who rooted for her on “The Voice.” She received many letters from her fellow countrymen, as well as from fans from all over Russia. There were letters even from Australia. Elina was very surprised that the show was watched all over the planet. The singer is glad that, as a participant in the “Voice” project, she ended up on Agutin’s team, since all the guys there became incredibly friendly. Even outside the project, they continue to communicate, meet, go to each other’s birthdays. The competition is over, but Chaga is not going home. I plan to record my song, shoot a video and record a solo album.

Singer Elina Chaga decided to leave her mentor Leonid Agutin

About a year ago, the news that Leonid Agutin was having an affair with Elina Chaga, who was his ward in the vocal show “The Voice,” was discussed in detail everywhere. And suddenly now, completely unexpectedly for everyone, the singer decided to part with her mentor.

Elina explained her departure by saying that the contract, which was concluded for five years, had come to an end. And since she wants to develop independently creatively in the future, she is not going to renew the agreement. Chaga plans to work without a producer and believes that currently this format of creative activity is no longer relevant.

Elina’s parents are lawyers, so they carefully and competently monitored the fulfillment of all the terms of the contract. There were no misunderstandings when the mentee and mentor separated. The girl was left with both her songs and her stage name.

In the fall, the performer released the premiere of the song Disco and shared the theme. That this premiere will be the beginning of her independent creative path. Chaga emphasized that no matter how afraid a person is to start everything from scratch. By completing one stage in life, it gives the opportunity to begin a new one. This could be seen as a sign that she would soon leave Agutin.

The girl is full of creative ideas and plans, writes texts and is working on a new program. Most recently, her joint song with Levan Gorozia, “Nearby,” was released.
