Maria Lugovaya: From “Ryzhaya” to “Murka” - a gap of 10 years
We hope you managed to watch the series “Murka” , which recently premiered on Channel One ? Almost at the same time, another series started NTV “Hunting the Devil” . And in both projects the main role was played by actress Maria Lugovaya (29). This is an unconditional success, because she was previously known from the series “Redhead ,” which was released back in 2008. All these almost ten years, Masha has been actively acting and working in the theater, but it is her scouts - Murka and Anna - that she calls “a miracle in her career .
Maria Lugovaya about working with the best Russian actors, new projects and criticism in our interview.
Two and a half years have passed since the end of the filming of Murka Before the casting I had a difficult period. I just moved to Moscow from St. Petersburg because it was impossible to be torn between two cities. We filmed “Demons” Vladimir Ivanovich Khotinenko (65) , and from October to June 2014 I had no projects at all. There were castings three times a week, but for various reasons the filming was canceled.
And so, the script for “Murka” . Then I had already lost any faith that everything would work out, so I was calm during the auditions and didn’t try too hard . “Murka” happened . After this, I concluded that sometimes it’s worth waiting .
Murka is such a wolf cub. It is not clear what she will do in the next second: she will take out the Mauser, kiss her, run away, or tear the tablecloth off the table; it seems she is not afraid of anything . But life makes its own adjustments, and before our eyes a woman awakens in this girl, and the wolf cub grows teeth.
On the set, we became friends with Lesha Bardukov (32) and Anton Khabarov (36), with whom we played two love lines. with Igor Zhizhikin (51). In general, the filming period was very difficult and the boys and I tried to stick to each other.
The next important step was "Hunting the Devil" . The action takes place in the 30s at a Finnish film studio. I was lucky with the team ( Seryozha Bezrukov (43), Natasha Shvets (38), Polina Maksimova (27), Zhenya Stychkin (42), Artem Tkachenko (34)), no matter the partner - just a bomb! (Laughs.). And the script is amazing. So I consider this work a miracle in my career.
Now we are filming the project “Better than People” by Andrei Dzhunkovsky (37) for Channel One . It's about the future, 2052 I think. At first I was skeptical about everything. But then I saw the picture. And I was simply ready to kiss the creators, because these are people who “on their knees” do something very impressive .
I take criticism very calmly. I always know myself what it cost. It’s difficult for me to watch my work, because a certain amount of time passes after the end of filming, and I change, and I want to play something differently .
I can still play gentle girls (my appearance allows it), but I haven’t been interested in that for a long time. I like my age now, I like how I look, how I feel, what I can do . Although since childhood I was an introverted child, I wanted to understand things that, due to my age, were not at all for me. I often fantasized because in reality I was deprived of much; I had a poor childhood .
I was born in St. Petersburg . My mother danced all her life, and my sister and I also started dancing from early childhood. At the age of 6 I entered a music school (violin class). I am very grateful to my mother that my sister and I received such an upbringing, this is a kind of “Institute of Noble Maidens” - we were raised in strictness .
Once my dance teacher said: “Mash, you need to go to theater school.” So in the 9th grade I came to the Youth Art Theater (TYUT), and in the 11th grade I already knew for sure that I would connect my life with creativity. Mom reacted philosophically (she is also an associate professor of philosophical sciences) to the current situation and said: “Well, honey, if you want, do it .
When I entered the institute ( Russian State Institute of Performing Arts ), I perceived everything only through the prism of my profession. And at some point I woke up. I'm already 25 years old and I forgot how to date the last time I went to the movies. Gym, train, castings, filming, theater. And three roads: station, house, theater . And one day I caught myself thinking, what if I walk along this road all my life? I'll go crazy! I still madly love my profession, but it is my life that is important to me, and my career is an important part of it, but only a part.
The series “Redhead” was a beautiful end to my student life . Before him, I starred in 10-12 projects, for example, the film “1814” , when my first acquaintance with such actors as Garmash and Makeev . And when everyone says that Red is my debut, I always laugh. It was just the first high-profile project in Moscow .
At some point you have to realize that you are special . Maybe it's a form of protection, but when I come to auditions, I have one goal: to have fun. I never get attached to a project until I sign a contract. It’s important for me to come and jump like in a competition. I consider this my victory, even if some Vasya Pupkin, a producer, did not approve me for the role .
I am a very sensitive person, “without skin,” so it’s difficult for me to feel comfortable in the presence of strangers . I like to maintain a certain distance and hate familiarity, which is very popular now. Everything immediately depreciates.
I want to be in harmony with myself. For me, life is like a quest, and the goal of the game is to reach your true self, without restrictions and complexes . This includes everything: a family created in love and harmony, children, dogs, and interesting roles that will provide the opportunity to learn something new about yourself.

Biography of actress Maria Lugova
The biography of actress Maria Lugova has practically no blank spots, except as regards her parents and family. The fact is that Maria does not want her family to receive increased attention from journalists.
His father, Alexander Lugovoi, and his mother, Elena Lugovaya, were philosophy teachers at one of the Leningrad higher educational institutions; by the way, my mother was the only woman in the USSR who studied the philosophy of dance. However, the girl hardly knew her father, since her parents divorced when she was little, so Maria practically did not communicate with him and does not intend to.
The older sister, Victoria Lugovaya, shared all the hobbies of her younger sister, for example, she studied swimming and ballet at the school that their aunt opened. The girl graduated from the Faculty of Journalism at the St. Petersburg University of Cinema and Theater, although she also wanted to enter a theater school to become an actress.
Marishka was not too active, but rather a domestic and calm child. Her day was scheduled in seconds, as the girl studied ballet, swimming, classical dancing and played the violin. At the same time, in the seventh grade, she ended up in a theater club at the Theater of Youth Creativity, so that she could then enter a theater school.
The fact is that the girl studied just fine, so they persuaded her to enter the law faculty. However, her mother insisted that Lenochka choose her own path in life, which is why she is a gold medalist at SPbGATI. After graduating from the Theater Academy, Lugovaya joined the troupe of the Alexander Theater. Also, she served in the Moscow Theater for Young Spectators for more than four years.
Childhood and youth
Maria Alexandrovna Lugovaya was born in the city on the Neva in July 1987. Their parents teach philosophy, so the Lugovs’ children (Masha is the youngest child in the family) grew up in an intelligent environment. Mother works at the Academy of Russian Ballet. A. Ya. Vaganova, became the author of the publication “Philosophy of Dance”.
The girl turned out to be a gift for her parents: a quiet child who was not capricious in childhood and brought only good grades during her school years. Masha studied hard at music and choreography schools. Violin and ballroom dancing, reading books and an interest in art - this is what distinguished Maria Lugovaya from her too modern and superficial peers.

Maria Lugovaya in childhood
At an older age, the girl seriously thought about her future profession. Maria liked music and choreography. Lugovaya tried in vain to choose between them what she would concentrate on after school.
An older acquaintance, whom Masha treated with respect, helped me decide. He suggested the girl try herself on stage. Lugovaya decided that the advice was sound and went to the Theater of Youth Creativity. 2 years before graduating from school, Maria mastered the basics of acting and gained an understanding of what theater is.
After graduating from high school with a gold medal, Lugovaya went to one of the best theater universities in the country - SPbGATI. The girl ended up with a wonderful teacher, Semyon Yakovlevich Spivak, who introduced her to the mysterious and multifaceted world of the acting profession.

Currently, the girl claims that she has a beloved young man, but he has nothing to do with the world of cinema or theater. The guy is close to her in spirit, he is caring and gentle, however, the young people are not yet planning to get married.
Movies
The cinematic biography of Maria Lugova began with a role in the TV series “Favorsky”. At first, the artist, accustomed to the theatrical rules of the game, did not like it at all on the set. She even declared in the heat of the moment that she would no longer act in films. But Elizaveta Boyarskaya came to the rescue, who gave some advice to her younger colleague and helped her adapt to the difficult world of cinema.
Probably, friendly encouragement and participation convinced Masha to agree to the offer to star in the next film. It was a detective story by Andres Puustusmaa called “18-14”. The project was released in 2007 and brought Maria Lugova invaluable experience in filmmaking. After all, in this film the actress worked on the same set with the masters of Russian cinema Ivan Makarevich, Bogdan Stupka, Alexei Garmash, Fyodor Bondarchuk and Alexei Guskov.
