After participating in the “Voice” project on Channel One, you probably got pestered with questions about this? To be honest, yes! Besides, almost all the questions are the same. I can imagine, but there is no way to avoid this topic, I will try to ask different questions. In a previous interview with our portal, you said that you had a rethinking of the world after your trip to Goa. Tell me, did the idea of participation itself exist before or did it happen after India? Zhenya and Anton submitted the questionnaire to Goa (note: Anton is the concert organizer, Evgenia is the PR of the NUKI group). I somehow shrugged it off without really analyzing it. I thought that let them send it, anyway, it’s unlikely that anything will work out there. India rather gave some strength. I haven't rested like this for a long time. There I calmed down, meditated, and gained energy. Who is that punk friend who advised you to go to Leps? Punk is in spirit. Friend. His name won't mean anything to anyone anyway. How is filming going? Do you communicate with other project participants? Filming is a chore. You have to arrive wildly early, and then sit and wait. Now, since there are fewer people, everything is somehow more organized, and on live broadcasts, probably, in general, everything will be on time and clearly. Not with all the participants, but in principle I communicate. Have you made any new interesting acquaintances? How interesting? This is all very unusual for me, so it’s interesting. I never thought in my life that I would encounter something like this. In general, there is an idle atmosphere there and everyone loves each other. It is somewhat reminiscent of a student camp, where everyone is involved in some kind of work and in some process, some even have passion and self-confidence. Are there a lot of narcissistic people who came and they think that they are stars of the first magnitude? I don’t know, I really can’t say that about anyone. All the guys are quite modest in their communication. Maybe they just learned to behave that way. There are none with an asterisk.
You told how Leps lets everything take its course and gives a lot of freedom with a certain degree of carelessness. How does he handle the process? Do you really do everything there yourself? Yes, he comes to rehearsals with the orchestra and then to the general rehearsal. Sometimes he says something. But what about what they show us on air, where the participants sit at the piano and rehearse something? No, we don't have that. I don’t know, perhaps it happens differently with other mentors, but Leps in particular is a busy person. By the way, he openly says that he will act as in the last season, that is, he will give complete freedom to the participants. True, by the way, he does not always approve the repertoire. I know that some people come up with ideas, but I’m really lucky. Everything I proposed was approved. Even now, when I have extreme moves. The audience that you are so used to at “The Voice” and at concerts is very different. Is it difficult to perform on a project in front of such an audience, or do you just go out and forget everything? You know, there are spotlights in their eyes, and they are sitting in the hall. I don’t perform at such venues at all. And then, as I understand it, they not only sit at the concert, but also receive some money for it. Because it’s very difficult to sit all day, on a bunch of takes, clapping, smiling. These are people who come to look at the project because they are interested, these are real people, but still they also work a little. And they also wave to them on command when they need to clap. Is this really the case? Are these insincere emotions? Well it is more like Yes. There is something like that. No, there are, of course, really moments where they clap live because something suddenly swayed them during the eighth hour of sitting, but basically it’s like this. Spectators always need to be in shape. Tell us about the concert that will take place on December 4th. It will be the Big Wild Concert. Will there be any surprises? Yes, they will. Although if I tell you now, it won’t be a surprise now.
At least one little secret. I can say that we will still play Zombie. We remade it a little more cheerfully, more fun. We thought that we should do this once, shoot back. The fact is that we have covers in the program. There are not many of them, about one or two. These are covers that I really love and can't resist taking them out of our program because they are great. Bjork, for example. As for Zombie, I wouldn’t say that this song rocks me crazy. Overall a good old school track, let's play it. Will Andrey Kazachenko be with the experiment that you arranged? Do you plan to perform anything lyrical at all? Yes, we got together and played. And completely aimlessly, they didn’t plan the performance at all. I thought that a piano set in an electric concert was probably quite strange. But we met, played, and somehow it all turned out so emotionally, and we decided to give up. But it won't be the song we posted. It will be a surprise. Tell us about the new SLOT video “Circles on the Water”, which was released quite recently. How it was filmed. Were these real instruments that were immersed in water or was it a prop? Did they survive at all or not? These are real instruments that have already become props. We bought some cheap guitars and drums for this. Is it difficult to film in a pool? Do you have people in your group who are afraid of water, for example? Never mind. I remember that it was quite difficult to portray any kind of even relative synchronicity under water. Of course, some sounds reach there, but still with difficulty, so I had to do it from memory. Basically, it’s all cut and diced later anyway, so okay. I had to try to sing one line. It was quite difficult to get there synchronously. Water was pouring everywhere. How long did it take to film? We first filmed this story on the green screen, because the clip was mostly drawn. Then we decided to separately complete the story under water in the summer. That is, we started filming it somewhere almost in February. They removed it and sent it for finishing touches. We thought that we would finish filming it later, but then we realized that we didn’t have time to do what we needed before the tour, so we postponed it all. Finished it in the summer. In the end, it turned out even for the better, because some events await the video. Taking up the topic of the video, can I ask you again about “The Voice”? The recording of the song during blind auditions received more than 4 million views and is a record holder in the entire history of the project in this regard. Do you get anything from this or does everything go to the Channel One fund? I think it all goes to the “The Voice” project fund. (note: this project was initially launched in Holland, and now the franchise is used all over the world). And they somehow share it with Universal, I think. So it goes. You are a frequent guest at various concerts; in a previous interview with our portal you said that you were going to go to Parov Stelar . I saw you there. Very unusual style of music, how did you like the concert? Yes Yes Yes! We were jumping there. They grabbed me at the Sziget festival in Budapest. They are such that if I had listened to them in audio format, I would never have noted this group for myself. And live they are so energetic. They have a festive and party atmosphere. This is probably why I came for this atmosphere. And this young lady of theirs is just fire! Fire woman! (laughs) What concerts are you planning on in the near future? You know, the IOWA group is inviting me to a concert at YotaSpace, and I’ll probably go, because I’ve never been, and I’m interested in how they put on a show. I've known them for a long time, ever since they played some kind of pop-rock. We even communicated on Vkontakte. And then they had such a sharp turn. I'm happy for them, everything is harmonious with them. And so, in general, I watched, there will be a lot of things. I think I’ll also go to the post-punk event “Pioneer Camp Dusty Rainbow” and “PTVP”. I want to go to Jack Wood, I’ve never been to them before. In December they play in some hitherto unknown club “Les”. They say that this is actually some kind of “basement barn”. I recently visited such a basement! (Laughs). I didn’t even know that we had such clubs. In principle, it’s great that we have them. The club is called "Game". Oooh, this is such an apartment in the basement. Very cool. There is a hall like a rep base and a small stage - very atmospheric. The group "Chernaya Rechka" performed. Oh my God!!! From somewhere in Kirov. How did you get there? Ostrav dragged me there.
His girlfriend listens to this group. I thought I should go and have a look. In principle, from a cognitive point of view it was interesting. In December, SLOT takes part in a concert called “Give me back my 2007.” Why do you think everyone has such a love for 2007? Yes, I analyzed this issue. I thought, what happened in 2007? The album “Trinity” and the video “Dead Stars” were released, that is, for the group “SLOT” it was quite a big year in terms of release, and therefore already in 2008 we went on tour normally. In terms of touring, this tour was, in my opinion, the most fruitful. So, probably, for many people in alternative music something has developed there. Many actively went to concerts. I remember how I spent my youth, so 2007 was probably a blast (laughs). Has much changed since 2007 in the world of alternative music? Well, the A-One channel, which then, of course, ruled the roost, is gone. As for the rest, I don’t know. Specifically, the SLOT group continues to tour. I wouldn't say that they were very deflated. If the channel had continued to exist, I think we would have existed quite well at this level. All this can only be assumed. But otherwise everything is quite smooth. The people may have become different. In different regions, however, the mentality has deteriorated. Previously, a common cultural movement somehow glued and united everyone, but now everyone is different. Somewhere they just stand with their phones, somewhere there are still some survivors and they arrange a fiery slam. In which regions is what happening? Where do driving concerts take place? Yekaterinburg has a very fiery crowd. And in Novosibirsk. In principle, this probably applies to larger cities, because everyone there is still cheerful. And where it is smaller, such a culture is not developed. We recently went to Surgut with SLOT and realized that this was our first visit to this city. And there, 2007 hasn’t even arrived yet (laughs). That is, people there seem to know the music, everyone is really looking forward to it. There were about 700-800 people. Everyone was very hungry for the concerts, but at the same time they still didn’t know how to behave. In principle, everyone is hot, but the slam had to be promoted. They didn't take it for granted. A - One was closed, but now we have opened “NASHE TV”, of course, they cannot be compared, but still, does the last channel somehow help musicians? I think at this stage the artists are helping NASHE TV. I think that soon it will develop into some kind of conceptual channel. On the other hand, it's great that they take on new bands that no one knows or listens to at all. I watch it sometimes, but I don’t mind, I’m interested. They are very diverse. In principle, this is also for fun. For an artist, the voice is the main instrument, and now we are experiencing such cold weather that it is not difficult to catch a cold. What do you do when you get sick and how do you heal and recover? You should drink tea with ginger. They say that if you give yourself ginger and lemon every day, you will not get sick. I don’t do this every day, of course, but ginger is a common occurrence. As a person who has seen music from different sides, from different genres and from the point of view of different audiences, can you advise fans how to find theirs? Fans?

Assassination attempt on Daria Stavrovich
In 2014, the singer’s biography was supplemented by a terrible event. On April 18, an attempt was made on the girl’s life. The excessive love of one of the fans almost led to death.
Dmitry Kostryukov, who was 19 years old at that time, stabbed Daria in the throat several times. Stavrovich was taken to intensive care, where she underwent surgery.
Fortunately, the young man did not hit any vital organs. Ten days later, Daria was discharged home.
During interrogation, Kostryukov stated that he carefully prepared for the assassination attempt. For some time he studied how and where the singer and her group moved. People who were at the crime scene said that Dmitry shouted after the attack:
“She’s not dead yet? It shouldn’t go to anyone!”

The biography of the popular performer began in the small town of Velsk (Arkhangelsk region), where Dasha was born. This happened on February 1, 1986. The girl's parents were intelligent people. Dasha's mother worked as a teacher, and her father was a doctor.

It was thanks to this fact that Daria was accepted into the Slot group in 2006. The band was founded in 2002 and by the time the new vocalist joined it, it already had one album and several videos. Daria's unique voice and performance style literally breathed new life into the team's work. It was in the group that she received a new nickname - Nookie, invented for her by fellow musician ID.
During Daria's work in the Slot group, 7 albums were released, as well as a huge number of singles. The star amazes his fans not only with his outstanding vocal abilities and frantic performance, but also with his extravagant appearance. “Slot” performs compositions in various genres. Daria Stavrovich tries to fully match her image and regularly appears in videos and in public in informal clothes, with dreadlocks or long black hair, new piercings and tattoos.

— So that a wide audience knows that there is a certain kind of musical culture that cannot be seen on TV. This music deserves to be heard - it has its own philosophy, energy and charisma.
— The alternative rock genre presupposes non-mainstreamness. Weren't you embarrassed to go to Channel One, where Valeria and Philip Kirkorov sing for the New Year?
— All over the world, alternative is part of show business and the mainstream. This is not the case in our country. It's not fair. It just so happened. It's a matter of taste, I guess. Besides, I don’t bend to the format. And no one limits me. There is no pressure - complete freedom. I can choose the repertoire. Maybe I was lucky with my mentor: Grigory Leps is quite open-minded. He is, perhaps, an anarchist on “The Voice” (laughs). So I remain honest with myself and don’t feel any discomfort.
— What if a free-thinking mentor asks you to sing a romance? Or rap?
“I think he feels me well and won’t give me something I don’t like.” I think Grigory Viktorovich will not destroy my business card (this refers to the special “screaming” timbre of the voice, which is achieved using the technique of splitting the ligaments; Leps himself often sings like this - Author). In addition, as they say, the organizers have relaxed their caution and are allowing artists to choose their repertoire. In general, I'm not in a bummer.

— I want to return to a not very pleasant topic. In 2014, you survived an assassination attempt. A 19-year-old fan who pestered you on social networks - first asking you out on a date, then threatening to take your voice away - burst in right during an autograph session and stabbed you several times in the throat area. How did you then find the strength to return to the stage? Weren't you haunted by fear?
— Oddly enough, this did not bring me any moral suffering. Friends helped me. When I woke up and saw a lot of people around me, I felt a surge of positive energy, it saved me. Plus, a certain courage appeared. If I was afraid of some steps before, then after this incident I stopped being afraid. The instinct of self-preservation has become one threshold lower.
— What didn’t kill you made you stronger?
“Rather, I became less afraid.” Whatever it is. Although it probably should have been the other way around.
— Will you try to promote your own repertoire?
- Let's see. The project has rules. One of the mentors definitely noticed that this was a karaoke show. There is a certain format. Let's see - we'll work to remain ourselves.
— How did your friends and colleagues react to your participation in “The Voice”?
“People around me reacted positively to this. Even those who were skeptical when they saw it said it was cool. And this has never happened on Channel One.
— Do you want to introduce cover versions of the songs performed in “The Voice” into the “Slot” program?
- No. And what scares me most is the prospect of turning into a cover artist. It's not interesting at all.
— Your group is masculine and brutal. Gloomy tattooed guys play heavy music. Is it difficult for you, as a group leader—and first of all, a girl—to manage such a team?
— There were no problems on this basis. Of course, sometimes you have to stomp and organize the process. I have already learned to take this calmly. But, of course, I would like to put this on men’s shoulders. But so far, apparently, the shoulders are not the same (laughs).

The second participant, Oleg Kondrakov, was simply leaked by Leps. Usually if I like the number. then I watch it several times. I didn’t even finish watching this episode once.

Daria Stavrovich, known to fans under the pseudonym “Nuki,” is a popular rock singer. In addition to performing, the girl writes lyrics and music herself. From 2006 to 2012 she was a member of the Slot group. Then she took up solo work, the project was called “Nuki”. In 2016, she became a semi-finalist in the fifth season of the project.
Daria Stavrovich was born on February 1, 1986 in a town in the Arkhangelsk region called Velsk into an intelligent family of a doctor and teacher. For a long time she lived in Arzamas, where she graduated from school.

After graduating from college, Daria Stavrovich entered the Moscow Institute of Contemporary Arts in 2006, where she chose the faculty of academic and pop-jazz singing.
