Varvara Vladimirova: biography
The future actress was born in St. Petersburg, this happened in March 1968. Varvara Vladimirova was born into a creative family, which could not but influence her fate. The girl’s mother was actress Alisa Freindlich, and her father was director and actor Igor Vladimirov. She is a late child; her father was about 50 years old at the time of the birth of his long-awaited daughter.
The Freundlich and Vladimirov family broke up even when their daughter was in school. Varvara Vladimirova did not suffer due to the separation of her parents, since her father invariably paid her a lot of attention. The dream of connecting her destiny with the theater appeared to a girl who “grew up behind the scenes” in the first years of her life. Varvara was not sure that she would become an actress, but she simply could not imagine life without theater.

Over the years, the daughter becomes more and more like her mother. Their relationship remains incredibly close. They try to support each other in everything and enjoy both creative successes and small victories in their personal lives. Women are happy, despite the difficulties that befall them.

This is far from the only dynasty in Russian show business. The daughter of Vera Alentova and Vladimir Menshov, Yulia, became an actress and TV presenter. And recently, fans of the talented family were able to see firsthand what Vera Alentova’s grown-up granddaughter looks like: 16-year-old Taisiya has grown up to be a real beauty.
Choosing a life path
Enrolling in the Faculty of Theater Studies was the choice Freundlich’s daughter made after graduating from school. Varvara Vladimirova had no doubt that any profession related to the theater was suitable for her. However, a few months later, the girl realized that she had made a mistake; she became bored with studying. The desire to achieve fame as an actress grew and became stronger, which prompted Varvara to enroll in the acting department.
It is not surprising that Varvara Igorevna Vladimirova came to such a decision. After all, she managed to test her strength as an actress while still at school. The debut film for the young talent was the musical fairy tale “The Extra Ticket.” Interestingly, this is the only film directed by Igor Petrovich. Unfortunately, the film was released in limited release and did not receive much popularity, but this was not Varvara’s fault.
Family and childhood of Varvara Vladimirova
Varvara Vladimirova was lucky to be born into a theatrical family. Leningrad became Varya's hometown, where she was born in March 1968. From a very early age, the girl grew up in a creative atmosphere.

Her parents are audience favorite Alisa Freindlikh and Igor Vladimirov, director of the Lensovet Theater. His maternal grandfather, the famous artist Bruno Freundlich, shone on stage and on the silver screen.

From her school years, Varya knew that she would connect her life with the theater. At the age of fifteen, the girl had already begun to join the acting profession. Varya starred in the film “An Extra Ticket,” it was a musical fairy tale directed by Igor Vladimirov.

After graduating from school, Varvara became a student at the Leningrad Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography. At first she entered the theater department. Igor Vladimirov, who at that time was divorced from Alisa Freindlich, was surprised by his daughter’s choice.
The girl studied there for only a year and transferred to the acting department, to her father’s workshop.
Having received an acting education, Varvara Vladimirova starred in several films. She won the audience’s sympathy by creating the image of Albina in the fairy tale film “Don’t Leave...”.

The daughter of Alisa Freindlich was engaged not only in acting. In the 90s she worked as an assistant director on television. During this period, she starred in the film “Without a Return Address.”
Student years
Alisa Freundlich's daughter's choice fell on LGITMiK; she managed to enter this university on her first try. Varvara was enrolled in a course taught by Efim Padve. However, the daughter's choice outraged the father when he was informed about it. Igor Petrovich insisted that she should learn from him, since no one knows her like he does. Varvara Vladimirova succumbed to persuasion and transferred to the course taught by her father.
The decision made by Varvara can hardly be called correct. Health did not allow Igor Petrovich to pay enough attention to his students, he appeared less and less within the walls of the university. Future actors were actually left to their own devices, which could not but affect the quality of education. It got to the point where they didn’t even have a graduation performance. Nevertheless, Vladimirova herself never complained about the choice made under the influence of her father.
early years
Varvara Vladimirova, whose photo can be seen in the material, was born on March 13, 1968 in Leningrad. Our heroine was born into the family of cinema and theater workers Igor Vladimirov and Alisa Freindlich. It is noteworthy that at the time of Varvara’s birth, her father had already reached 50 years of age.
From early childhood, the girl dreamed of repeating the fate of her parents. After graduating from a regular school in Leningrad, Varvara Vladimirova firmly decided to become an actress. The girl successfully passed the entrance exams for admission to the State Institute of Theater. Here she was enrolled in a course by the famous stage acting teacher Efim Padve. Since at that time our heroine’s father was recruiting his own acting troupe, Varvara soon began studying with Igor Vladimirov. However, the latter practically did not appear on the course, since due to his advanced age he experienced health problems. The students were left to their own devices. Varvara Vladimirova graduated from the institute without the required graduation performance, according to the works submitted in her second year.
Star role
Varvara Vladimirova is an actress who was always afraid that she would be compared to her famous parents. It is possible that this is what made the girl reject the invitation of her father, who persistently invited his daughter to his theater. After graduating from LGITMiK, the aspiring actress decided to achieve success in the world of cinema. Unfortunately, the time for this turned out to be completely inappropriate.
The charming and talented girl attracted the attention of director Leonid Nechaev, who offered her a role in his musical fairy tale. In the film “Don’t Leave,” Varvara embodied the image of Princess Albina, the daughter of the king and queen of a fictional kingdom. Her heroine is a kind girl, but overly spoiled by her loving parents, who becomes the object of passion of the silent poet Patrick. This role remains the calling card of actress Vladimirova to this day.
A crisis
In the 90s, domestic cinema plunged into the abyss of crisis. Many talented actors were left virtually without work, and Freundlich’s daughter did not escape this fate. In 1994, she managed to get a role in the thriller “Without a Return Address,” filmed by Konstantin Khudyakov. Varvara played a girl who cannot figure out her personal life. Then there was a long lull; the little-known actress received no interesting offers.
Of course, Varvara Vladimirova could start acting in low-quality films, as many of her colleagues did then. However, the girl was stopped by the example of her mother, a talented actress who never allowed herself to do this. She decided to temporarily abandon filming.
Alisa Freindlich, children
When the husband of Alisa Freindlich's daughter unexpectedly died, the legendary theater and film actress even refused to celebrate her 75th birthday. Alisa Brunovna always rejoiced at her daughter’s happiness, because, unlike herself, Varvara Vladimirovna had great love and mutual understanding. Freundlich herself always missed this.
Alisa Brunovna married three times. Varvara's father was her second husband, director Igor Vladimirov. As a child, Alisa Freundlich’s daughter Varvara Vladimirova loved more than anything else to play in the theater with her parents. She liked it so much that even when she had to go home, the girl cried, refusing to return. Varvara matured early and understood what independence was. Parents always lacked time to spend a few hours with their child. But when we did, everyone had a lot of fun. During her school years, Alisa Brunovna helped Varvara with writing essays and asked her to study more diligently. But the girl was waiting until she finally became an adult and could play in the theater like her mother. Contrary to stereotypes, the famous family lived very modestly. The Lensovet Theater practically never went on tour abroad. From childhood, Varvara was made to understand that if she really wanted something, she needed to either save on something or look for a job.
Daughter of Alisa Freundlich
When the girl entered the correspondence department of the acting department, she went to work as a caretaker in a theater library. As soon as people learned her last name, there was an awkward pause. Many were surprised how the daughter of nationally famous parents made a living in a library. Varvara did not pay any attention to any rumors, but simply worked. After graduating, she got a role in the BDT theater and starred in several films. The girl always had a very warm relationship with her mother. Even when Alisa Brunovna got married again, the girl did not harbor any grudge against her mother. Yes, at first Varvara was jealous of her mother, but as she got older, she understood everything. Unfortunately, all three marriages of the actress were unsuccessful. With all her husbands, Freundlich ran into a wall of misunderstanding. Perhaps it was the creative profession, because many actors and directors cannot get along with each other due to hard work. As Alisa Brunovna admitted, her last two husbands started drinking, but she did not tolerate alcoholism in the family.

Now Freundlich most enjoys spending his free time with his grandchildren Anna and Nikita. When they were first born, the actress brought them a lot of toys. Alisa Freindlich’s daughter believes that Alisa Brunovna makes up for all the attention she lacked in childhood with her children. Now mother and daughter have much more time for each other, because they work in the same theater. In several performances they can be seen on stage together.

Varvara Vladimirova admitted in an interview that she was worried about her mother’s loneliness. It seems to her that the actress spends a lot of time alone, because most of her friends are no longer alive. For this reason, Varvara and her children constantly visit their grandmother and take photographs with her.
Life behind the scenes
Wife and mother is a new role that Varvara Vladimirova has tried on. The personal life of the daughter of the famous actress settled down when she met Sergei Tarasov. Soon Vladimirova agreed to become the wife of the vice-governor of St. Petersburg. Mother Alisa Freundlich approved of her daughter's choice. The family had two children - a son and a daughter. However, a few years later the marriage broke up, the reasons for which remained behind the scenes.
Varvara and Sergei had already divorced when the latter was among the victims of the Nevsky Express crash. The son of the actress Nikita decided to follow in his mother’s footsteps, which prompted him to enter the Moscow Art Theater School-Studio in the acting department. Daughter Anna intends to become a producer.
Heirs. Anna Tarasova
A student at the Theater Academy is studying to become a producer. Perhaps we will see her performance again with the participation of the famous grandmother, mother and older brother Nikita, who chose the acting department of the Moscow Art Theater School.
Alisa Freindlich grandmother Grandmother is an actress of the Tovstonogov Bolshoi Drama Theater. Great-grandfather and grandfather are, respectively, People's Artists of the USSR Bruno Freundlich and Igor Vladimirov, mother is actress Varvara Vladimirova, father is the former speaker of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg, vice-governor and senator Sergei Tarasov, who died in 2009. | Anya is the heir to the Freundlich-Vladimirov theatrical dynasty. Great-grandfather, actor Bruno Freundlich, played Marshal Shaposhnikov in “The Battle of Moscow” and “Stalingrad” and played leading roles at the Alexandrinsky Theater (then the Pushkin Theater). Grandfather Igor Vladimirov directed the Lensovet Theater for many years, in which my grandmother also played in those years. Nineteen-year-old Anya, of course, no longer remembers her grandfathers very well: a postcard from Bruno Arturovich with the inscription “Anechka, happy first day at school. Congratulations, kisses, great-grandfather,” this is what was left as a keepsake for my granddaughter. Since childhood, Anya has been surrounded by the attention of her mother and grandmother. With Alisa Brunovna she staged home plays and learned to cook eggplant caviar. From the age of three I went with my mother to the play “The Kid and Carlson,” where my grandmother played the Kid. Varvara Vladimirova’s mother is Princess Albina from the children’s film “Don’t Leave Me.” The grandmother, whom Anya simply calls Alice, is the modest “cracker” Lyudmila Prokofievna from “Office Romance.” It is clear that the granddaughter also admires the personal modesty of Alisa Brunovna, who goes to her dacha in Sosnovo on a regular train, goes mushroom hunting, never throws away anything from her things and teaches Anya to say “thank you” and “sorry” more often. The family does not like unknown expenses. So, Varvara Igorevna decorated the apartment in a minimalist black and white style. Of the decor, only a mannequin in a great-great-grandmother’s velvet dress reminds of solid family roots. And they lead to German glassblowers who arrived in Russia in the 18th century. |
So Anya leads a modest lifestyle. True, her grandmother gave her earrings made of white gold with small diamonds as a graduation gift. Otherwise everything is simple. He dresses in Zara and goes on vacation with his family to Positano in the summer. There are few Russians here, and no one pesters grandma for autographs. All around is the nature of the south of Italy, the theater family enjoys it slowly, moving from the beach home to an afternoon nap and back. Needless to say, Anya doesn’t go to local restaurants: such walks are not particularly interesting when her sensible mother and Alice are nearby. And you can cook chicken and potatoes for dinner yourself.
In St. Petersburg, Anya Tarasova selflessly devotes herself to the theater. At first I was afraid to give in to the call of blood, cowardly entering Inzhekon. But a year later, casting aside doubts, she transferred to the Theater Academy, to the production department. Mom and grandmother, having learned the news, were solemnly silent for several minutes. Now they discuss the entire theatrical life of St. Petersburg together, and Anya goes to the theater almost every day. And she even managed to do an internship at the Philharmonic: she worked as a courier. Therefore, evenings in fashionable restaurants are low on the to-do list of a future theater producer. It’s better to go to the five-hour performance “Macbeth” again. Cinema" by your favorite director Yuri Butusov or "Cunning and Love" by Lev Dodin. An exception in favor of social life was made only for the autumn Tatler debutante ball, where Anya will shine in a ballgown from Milan.
The purposeful girl is already making plans for her theatrical future. “I would like to find my own play,” admits Tarasova, “but now there is a big problem with modern authors.” While it’s really too early to engage in serious searches, Anya is reading Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Emilia Bronte, and everything else “according to the reading list.” You have to be a diligent student so as not to upset your mother and Alisa Brunovna.
Return to screens
After devoting several years to her family, Varvara resumed her attempts to achieve success as an actress. For example, Freundlich’s daughter can be seen in the popular television project “Women’s Logic,” albeit in a small role. Interestingly, her famous mother Alice plays a key role in this series. She also starred in the TV series “Vovochka”. Another achievement of the little-known actress Vladimirova is a small role in the play “California Suite,” staged at the Bolshoi Drama Theater. Finally, she tries her hand as a TV presenter.
Soon, fans of the actress will have a pleasant surprise - another film with her participation. “Our Happy Tomorrow” is a film in which Varvara Vladimirova got a small role as a saleswoman.
Born 03/13/1968, Leningrad
Varvara was born into the family of actor and director Igor Petrovich Vladimirov and theater and film actress Alisa Brunovna Freindlich. She was a late child - Igor Petrovich became a father at almost 50 years old. In the early 80s, Varvara’s parents separated, but the girl did not lose contact with her father.
Having such parents, Varvara did not see her life outside the theater. To the question “what do you want to become?” she answered: anyone, as long as it’s in the theater. After school, the girl entered theater studies. But, apparently, genes took their toll - this profession seemed boring to her, Varvara was attracted by the stage. After studying for a year, she decided to enroll in acting, where she had always subconsciously aspired.
She passed the exams at LGITMiK for a course with Efim Padva, after which Igor Petrovich Vladimirov found out about this and was terribly indignant: “For someone else to teach my daughter? Who knows you better than me?” And since he himself was gaining a course that year, he, by a strong-willed decision, dragged her to him. Varvara moved to her father so as not to offend him, but this was hardly the right decision. Because Igor Petrovich was already ill at that time, he hardly showed up for the course, then the other teachers fled in all directions, and the guys were essentially left to their own devices. They graduated even without a graduation performance - based on the works of the second year.
After graduation, her father invited her to his theater, but Varvara did not go, explaining that in this theater she would inevitably be doomed to unnecessary comparisons. The aspiring actress decided to try herself in cinema.
By that time, the girl already had her first experience. At the age of fifteen, she made her debut in her father’s musical fairy tale “The Extra Ticket.” This was Igor Petrovich’s only film work as a director. However, the film was then released in a very limited release and therefore did not have wide audience success.
After graduating from the institute, Varvara played the role of Albina in Leonid Nechaev’s ironic musical fairy tale “Don’t Leave...”, filmed by the director. And then the difficult period of the 90s began in our cinema. Having starred in the psychological thriller “Without a return address” by Konstantin Khudyakov, the actress was subsequently left without offers.
Varvara did not act in low-quality films. Before her was the example of her mother, the outstanding actress Alisa Freindlich, and she did not want to sink below this level. And then she preferred the role of mother and housewife to the profession of an actress.
Varvara’s husband was Sergei Tarasov, vice-governor of St. Petersburg. The couple had two children - Nikita (07/25/92) and Anya (12/11/94). The relationship between son-in-law and mother-in-law is ideal. Although Alisa Freindlich is far from politics, she watches all the TV shows with the participation of her son-in-law and expresses to him her purely acting comments.
And yet, after several years, Varvara returned to the stage and screen to the delight of the audience. Currently, she plays a small role in the play together with Alisa Freindlikh and Oleg Basilashvili. In addition, she starred in a cameo role in the detective series “Women’s Logic,” where the main role is again played by Alisa Brunovna, as well as in the series “Vovochka.”
