Vyacheslav Tikhonov provoked his daughter’s illness

Parents' love story

Our heroine’s mother, Tamara Ivanovna, fell in love with Vyacheslav Tikhonov in the 8th grade. The teenage girl watched films with his participation several times. And one day she dreamed that she was marrying the artist Tikhonov. The schoolgirl did not attach much importance to this. However, the dream turned out to be prophetic.

10 years later she met Vyacheslav within the walls of Mosfilm. By that time, Tamara had managed to graduate from the Faculty of Philology of Moscow State University and get a job as a French teacher at a school on Arbat. And at Mosfilm she worked part-time, translating scenes from the foreign film A Man and a Woman.

24-year-old Tamara captivated the famous artist with her openness, natural beauty and sense of humor. Tikhonov was not at all embarrassed by the fact that the potential bride was 16 years younger than him. They both had unsuccessful marriages behind them. In addition, for two summers Tamara had an affair with a Frenchman named Michel. But for the sake of Vyacheslav Vasilyevich, she crossed out her foreign groom from her life.

In 1967, the couple got married. Tikhonov's friends and colleagues were confident that this marriage would be long and strong. And they were right.

“Dad said that this profession takes a lot: you have to often leave home, film for a long time without a break, and endure unfavorable conditions. All this then affects the family. Even if everything goes well for a person, there is always another side to the coin. For example, dad himself was rarely at home. In childhood, his absence was still felt when he acted a lot. Of course, I really missed you,” she said.

Then I started repeating after him. It got to the point that stuttering became a habit for me,” said Anna Tikhonova.
