“My family is divided into two clans: pedagogical and medical,” says Stanislav Duzhnikov. His mother was a pediatrician, his father studied to be a surgeon, but then chose to pursue sculpture. My grandfather taught history, geography and scientific knowledge in a rural school, and my grandmother taught physics.
CHILDHOOD
Little Stas was a good student, until the second grade he was an excellent student. But discipline was lame. There was everything: broken glass followed by a conversation in the director’s office, burning rubber cylinders, wall-to-wall boy fights... As a result, my mother took action, and Duzhnikov went to the seventh grade not in his native Saransk, but in the village, under the supervision of his strict grandmother Anastasia Fedorovna. An honored teacher, she seriously took up his re-education.
One of the points of the program was forced attendance at clubs, including theater clubs. At first, the “difficult” teenager only carried chairs and decorations, but one day he found himself on stage.
The actor recalls: “I watched my classmate at the rehearsal, who played the stepmother’s daughter in the fairy tale “Cinderella.” Something didn’t work out for her, and I, “out of the blue,” decided to show how to play, without any thought that they might take me there. Teacher Raisa Ivanovna, looking at all this, said: “So you’ll play!”
I protested: they say, I’m a boy! And she: “Nothing, nothing, in history there were many men who played women, so you too will play a female role!” That’s how I got my first role, which turned out to be a female one.”
The success was phenomenal. They asked Duzhnikov for autographs, invited him to perform at all the skits, the girls made eyes at him. And Stanislav himself became truly interested in the stage and began to read a lot. He graduated from school with a silver medal.
ADMISSION
The family greeted the decision to enter the theater institute with caution. Everyone believed that Stanislav should continue the dynasty of doctors or, at worst, become an economist. And certainly not an actor! But Duzhnikov showed persistence and left for Moscow, without really even imagining what awaited him in the capital.
He only dreamed of the Shchukin School, but they didn’t take him there. Despite his popularity at school, Stanislav remained rather shy and lacked self-confidence in exams.
He did not return home, went to study at a commercial art college, but every year he tried again to get into Pike. At the same time, he worked wherever he had to: as a loader, as a waiter... On the fourth attempt, Stanislav Duzhnikov nevertheless achieved his goal - he entered the theater school named after B.V. Shchukin for the course of Evgeniy Knyazev.
“It was Knyazev’s first year, and we saw how worried he was,” says the actor. - I am eternally grateful to this man! When we graduated, he rushed around with us like a chicken with eggs, went with us to shows. He got everyone into theaters, the whole course!”
Graduate Stanislav Duzhnikov had several offers, and he chose the Theater. Gogol.
Duzhnikov's hobbies
The actor is fascinated by voice acting for animated films. His voice is in demand in Russia and abroad. He speaks for the hero Ralph of the cartoon of the same name, He is Asterix and Ilya Muromets. - First of all, no one has invited me yet! Secondly, on this day I will be filming in Germany. So it won’t be possible to come to Saransk... I have a great attitude towards Gerard Depardieu. This is a wonderful artist! I'm glad that a Mordvinian Frenchman has finally appeared in our republic! (laughs - “S”). Moreover, we are neighbors in Saransk. He lives four houses away from me! This is amazing!

“S”: You are the ambassador of Saransk at the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Which club do you support?
— I like the German Bayer, the Spanish Barcelona and... the Russian national football team! I hope she will perform well at the World Championships. I'm not saying that we will win or achieve incredible results... Now only one thing is required from our team - to play with dignity. So that our compatriots do not blush for the masters of the leather ball and do not discuss their unworthy actions. Football players must also be real athletes and give their all for the sport and the profession they have chosen. Then they will be respected.
“S”: One of the loudest sensations of the week is the transfer of the Brazilian Neymar from the Spanish “Barcelona” to the Parisian “PSG” for 222 million euros. Are you surprised by the amount of the transfer?
— To answer this question, you need to be a sports manager who is involved in repurchasing athletes, all kinds of contracts... I am an amateur in this matter. So I probably won’t undertake to estimate the amount of the transaction and its commercial benefits.
“S”: What will you do after your trip to Mordovia?
— Big shooting will take place in the near future! I won’t tell you in detail yet—it’s better to keep silent about half of the work. There will also be a full-length film, a series on Channel One... On August 8 at 12.00 on the Rossiya channel the series Points of Support started, in which we play with Alexander Lazarev... When will I arrive in Saransk? This is an unpredictable thing!

“AiF”: – I heard that you are still organizing a children’s film festival?
S.D.: – Yes, we, with caring people who think about our future – about children, organized the “Viva” festival. And they have done it twice already. To be honest, I couldn’t even imagine that so many people would come under my name! It's definitely nice! And it’s nice that all this was paid for by big officials who paid attention to our festival and promised further support. Young people need to be occupied and taught to be creative. Cinema, theater, sports - anything will do here!
“AiF”: – Do you think that what you had in mind when you entered this profession has come true?
S.D.: – When I entered this profession, I had no other desires than to master it. After watching the rough material of my first film, “DMB,” I thought, that’s it – the road to cinema is closed for me. I didn’t like myself on screen at all! Well, this was my first filming experience, practically a learning experience. And the fact that the role turned out as a result is thanks to the director. The film brought me some popularity. I went to see Kinotavr... It's intoxicating! I must say that the “copper pipes” test is the most difficult!..
“AiF”: – So today you are satisfied with the way your destiny has turned out?
S.D.: – It hasn’t worked out for me yet.
“AiF”: – I say – for today.
S.D.: -...Nope! If everything has already worked out, it means the person has stopped. Fate is going well so far... But I would like more!
For the first time in a big series
In the television series “Voronins” he was given a large role as a policeman, whose name is Lenya Voronin. The actor convincingly conveys to the audience the image of his hero - a glutton-glut with numerous complexes, who is disliked by both his brother and his parents. He constantly finds something in himself that does not allow him to live and work in peace, willy-nilly comparing himself with his own brother-journalist, eventually finding new disadvantages in himself.
They say that in order for the role to be even more authentic, and its image more complete (literally and figuratively), he had to gain weight, adding as much as 20 kilograms to his already thin body. But that was in 2009, and in 2013 he had already lost those pounds to film the same series.
