Childhood
Daria Antonyuk was born on January 25, 1996 in Zelenogorsk (a small town located in the Krasnoyarsk Territory). The family was not rich, Daria’s father worked as a fireman all his life, and her mother worked as the director of a children’s additional education center. The parents had nothing to do with art - no one could have imagined that the girl would grow up to be such a talented vocalist.

Daria began to get interested in music at the age of seven and the first thing she did was ask her mother to buy a violin. At the same age, she was sent to the Talisman pop vocal studio. Studio director Olga Kabysheva admitted in an interview: “All the teachers immediately noticed Dasha. She has a very memorable timbre, unlike anyone else. This is exactly the kind of voice that you want to turn to - no matter what competitions we sent this girl to, she was noticed everywhere.”
Despite her talent for music (in addition to singing, the girl attended solfeggio lessons and learned to play the violin masterfully), Daria intended to become an actress after a number of successful performances in school amateur performances. Immediately after graduating from high school, she went to Moscow with the firm goal of entering the capital’s theater university, but until the very end she did not know which one to choose. The girl easily qualified for four of the most famous specialized institutes in Russia: GITIS, Gnesinka, the Boris Shchukin Institute and the legendary Moscow Art Theater School. It was to the latter that she took her documents.
In her youth, Daria performed in the children's creative project NucKids
In an interview, Daria Antonyuk once admitted that immediately after starting her studies, she completely reconsidered her view of the acting profession. She began to notice many details even in low-budget Russian TV series that were invisible to the average person, and she began to treat the theatrical performances that she had loved since childhood with even greater respect.

“I’m shocked,” Dasha clears her throat, gasping. - I don’t understand what’s happening! Of course, there is happiness and New Year. But I don't understand how.
And that’s all you need to know about the “Voice” project. Shock! A similar thing happened in the second season of the show, when Nargiz Zakirova was already prepared to win. And people gave their votes to Sergei Volchkov. But still the effect was not so stunning.
Real New Year's magic happened here.
No matter how much they laugh at the fact that “The Voice” is no longer the same, that even Panayotov will make everyone here with one left, that everything is predictable - but here it is. A girl from Siberian Zelenogorsk. 20 years old. Sincere, beautiful, blood and milk. And what a voice! She took and removed three men. And which ones. The winner of the “Main Stage” show Sardor Milano, the finalist of the same project Kairat Primberdiev and himself - oh gods! — Alexandra Panayotova. Eternal finalist and prize-winner, distant relative of George Michael.

Perhaps the fifth season of “The Voice” did not have the most powerful line-up of vocalists. We did not see Anton Belyaev, Tina Kuznetsova or Nargiz Zakirova in new incarnations. But for the sake of the outcome, it was worth watching the project. There has never been such an unpredictable ending.
Announcement of the winner. Voice-5. The final. Fragment of the release dated December 30, 2016. A super project that is fundamentally different from the usual vocal competitions and musical talent search shows. We found the best voices in the country. Outstanding vocal abilities are the only way to get into the Voice project, get a unique chance to go through the sieve of musical duels with competitors and make millions of TV viewers fall in love with you.
The first to be unhooked was Sardor Milano - which, let's say, was not entirely expected. The second is Kairata. And then, when everyone got ready to swing Alexander Panayotov in their arms... the scoreboard showed the result 53.5% to 46.5% in favor of Dasha Antonyuk. We must admit that this is not an accident at all. Dasha gave 500% of her capabilities - she sang perfectly, powerfully and without mistakes.
And after the victory, she cried, jumped and breathed deeply, unable to control herself. The crowd of spectators surrounded her; the happiness of the unity knew no bounds. And while Alexander Panayotov joked in an interview that he was invincible, “KP” could not pass by Dasha - they interrogated the winner right on stage.
“The last two days I couldn’t sing at all,” admits Antonyuk. - Caught a cold. And they pumped me full of drugs. But any difficulty is not really a difficulty when reserves are involved.
— You were standing on stage 10 minutes ago. The votes are being counted. Did you understand that Panayotov would win now? As everyone believed from the first day of the show.
“I was ready for anything.” To any outcome of events. Because second place is also cool. All these places don’t mean a damn thing, in simple terms (laughs). Well, it's true! I prepared to give in. Because Sasha and I became good friends and said to each other lately: “You! No you! No, you must win!

- So you foresaw that you would be left alone?
- We thought we would be together. For some reason they felt it.
— Did you feel pressure? Still the smallest among men.
“I was worried, got up at five in the morning and constantly turned the ending over in my head. Then I got sick. And I needed to concentrate. Just sing. It was no longer possible to analyze whether it would work or not. Leonid Agutin encouraged me in the same way: “Don’t make things up anymore. Don't move. Just go out and do it!” And so I left. And she sang.

— You performed the victory song “Dear Long” in a hussar uniform. Your creativity?
— Invented by Leonid Nikolaevich. He constantly selects interesting costumes, because he gives a certain image for each song. At first they wanted to wear a long dress and heels - after all, “Dear Long” is a romance. And then I began to realize that I didn’t feel very comfortable. Because the song had to hit! I like evening dresses, but my mentor said that I need a hussar suit. Shirt, pants, comfortable heels. Then the feeling will be completely different. And so it happened. I added the jacket myself: “Let’s do something like that,” then Leonid Nikolaevich saw it and approved it - cool.

— Did the phoniatrist help you deal with your throat?
— Yes, I received emergency treatment at the clinic. The temperature lasted for a couple of days.
— The majority of votes in your favor was small. Siberia supported?
- Certainly. They write and call, they help. I feel Siberian energy in every cell. Today my mother came to the finals, but I didn’t even see her. I want to get to her as soon as possible. This is much more important than anything else. Every broadcast she cried and called: “Daughter, I’m sorry that I’m such a mother - I’m far away and can’t come and cheer for you.” And so she arrived, and now she doesn’t cry. Happy she is, happy I am.
— What could you say to those who believed in Panayotov’s victory?
- Continue to believe! Sasha is invincible. I love him very much. He didn't lose. We won with him. Keep believing in him. And don’t hate me (laughs) - we are not rivals. He will succeed.

— What, besides talent, helped you win? Amulet, wolf tooth, talisman?
— I have habits that I don’t give up. Probably this too. For example, there is a sweater that I wore when I went to every broadcast. Simple and meaningful things for me.
— What could you wish to the readers of “KP”?
- People! Congratulations on a wonderful and truly magical holiday. I wish that your dreams come true too. And so that in the most difficult situations you never give up. Even if you really want to give up, you have to go to the end. I wish you many miracles in life. And love, love, love! Because All You Need Is Love*.

Daria Antonyuk in the project “The Voice”
At the beginning of 2020, at the time of selection for the fifth season of the “Voice” project, Daria Antonyuk was a third-year student at the Moscow Art Theater School.
She, of course, passed the initial “talent test” and was looking forward to the opportunity to perform in front of the main judges of the project. In previous seasons, there were always participants who did not have time to do this - their turn simply did not reach them. Daria was afraid of the same fate, but she was lucky. At the first stage of the program, the so-called “blind auditions”, during which the project coaches turn their backs to the participants during their performances, Daria Antonyuk performed the song “Stand Up for Love” by the American singer Beyonce.
“The Voice”: Daria Antonyuk – Stand Up for Love (blind auditions) The girl’s vocal abilities during the presentation of this touching composition surprised all members of the jury. Dmitry Bilan was the first to turn to Daria (although Polina Gagarina pressed the button first, but the device malfunctioned and it did not work right away), and then Leonid Agutin and Grigory Leps turned around. Despite the fact that Gagarina desperately invited the girl to join her team, Daria chose Agutin as a mentor.

Under the strict guidance of Leonid Nikolaevich, Daria Antonyuk managed to get to the very end of the television project, which took place on December 30, 2020. For the victory, the girl had to compete with serious rivals: Alexander Panayotov (Grigory Leps' team) - a well-known performer before the project, Sardor Milano (Polina Gagarina's team) - winner of another vocal show called "Main Stage", as well as Kairat Primberdiev (Dmitry Bilan's team ) – another finalist of the “Main Stage”.
Victory in “The Voice” came as a surprise to Daria
Based on the results of the audience vote, together with Alexander Panayotov, Daria reached the decisive stage of the competition and ultimately won by a small margin. As a reward, she received a certificate for one million rubles and a contract with the recording studio Universal Music Russia. This is the first time Leonid Agutin’s ward has won in the five-year history of the TV show. “My winner!” Agutin proudly shared the news on his Instagram. Music
In 2020, Daria Antonyuk, who has been studying vocals since childhood, decided to try her luck at the casting of the top-rated television project “The Voice”. Dasha completed the task at the preliminary ability test and received the right to speak in front of the judges.
At the blind auditions, in which the jury does not see the participant until the very end of the performance, Daria performed the complex song Stand Up for Love from the repertoire of Beyoncé and her group Destiny's Child.
Antonyuk’s vocal prowess in delivering the lyrical composition amazed the judges, and all four turned to the girl. The masters noted the incredibly powerful and deep timbre of the singer’s voice and the range of three and a half octaves.
Both Dima Bilan and Grigory Leps wanted to see Daria in their ranks, and Polina Gagarina fought for the singer to the last, but the girl’s choice fell on Leonid Agutin.
At the "Fights" stage, Daria fought with natives of Gudauta (Abkhazia) Temur and Denis Khagba, performing the song That's What Friends Are For. The girl, according to the mentor, turned out to be stronger. In “Knockouts,” Antonyuk’s opponents were Boris Sheshera and Vadim Kapustin, and again Daria won the competition with the song “If He Leaves” from the repertoire of Angelika Varum.
In the quarter-finals, the girl got the maestro’s song “Bell”, for which the mentors gave 50%, and the audience - 62.9% of the votes. In the semi-finals, the audience heard an interpretation of the song from Freddie Mercury's repertoire, Somebody to Love. Once again, the total number of votes for the performance was the highest among the participants - 132%. As a result of this stage of the competition, four finalists were determined. From Dima Bilan's team - Kairat Primberdiev, from Polina Gagarina - Sardor Milano, from Leps - singer from Zaporozhye Alexander Panayotov.
Before the final, the worst thing that could happen to the girl happened. Daria Antonyuk caught a cold and lost her voice during rehearsals. Later, the girl informed fans about this disease from her Instagram page. Antonyuk was completely confident of failure; the girl did not rehearse the final number in the last days before the performance.
In fact, the singer sang the musical composition “Dear Long” for the first time only during the recording of the program. But it was her performance that impressed the audience so much that Dasha received the most votes via SMS. The girl was far ahead of the second favorite of the competition, Alexander Panayotov.
A brilliant victory and the girl’s unique talent ensured Antonyuk’s place in the TOP 5 best
vocalists of The Voice. For Russia, the inclusion of a compatriot in the Best winners from all around the world rating, along with The Voice winners from Europe and Thailand, became the first precedent. A video with Antonyuk’s performance appeared on the official YouTube channel of The Voice Global.
