Singer Rita Dakota and singer Vlad Sokolovsky were happily married for about three years. Through the prism of their social pages, everything looked like something out of a fairy tale: idealistic photographs showing a life full of love and care. As often happens, the picture turned out to be unlike life. On August 11, Rita Dakota admitted that they were getting a divorce. According to rumors, Sokolovsky is dating fitness trainer Natalya Sulfanova. They agreed on the basis of mutual interests: sports, noisy parties, travel. Rita Dakota also seems to be not free. At one of the concerts, she spoke about “butterflies in her stomach” and fans almost “married” her to a mystical stranger. The singer herself denied these rumors, although she did not explain her words about “the love she is living right now.”

Many people remember Rita Dakota well from “Star Factory,” so they were even more delighted when the singer appeared on the large-scale TV show “Main Stage.” We decided to ask Rita about whether winning in this kind of television project is important to her, why she gets her tattoos, and how her wedding to Vlad Sokolovsky went.
— In “Main Stage,” were you focused on winning, or was participation in the project itself more important?
I initially didn’t go to the “Main Stage” to win, because having learned from the experience of other television projects, including “Star Factory,” I know very well what federal television is, I know what musical projects and talent shows are. Victory is always a more complex structure than it seems to the viewer at first glance, and the most talented does not always win. Sometimes the most stubborn one wins, sometimes the most difficult one wins, and sometimes victory ends up in the hands of the one who should have won, so for me, the “Main Stage” was a kind of platform for communicating my creativity as effectively as possible to the eyes, ears and, ideally, hearts as many TV viewers as possible.
— Do you believe in inspiration? And if so, where do you find it?
Of course I believe! Without inspiration it is impossible to create. I don't believe in songs that are written when needed, I don't believe in the "hit formula" or anything like that. And inspiration is absolutely necessary, but I don’t specifically look for it, it finds me when it should find me. Absolutely anything can inspire me: a good film, interesting people, books, other people's creativity, travel.
— What, in your opinion, is the most important thing for a modern artist?
The most important thing is not to hysterically seek success, the most important thing is to enjoy what you do, to sincerely love the music you create with all your soul, and only then will success become possible. And I don’t mean thoughtful production projects now, I mean artists, real creative individuals.
— Is it difficult to combine such a vibrant profession with relationships, family and loved ones?
As for my relationships, family and friends, in my personal case nothing has changed with the advent of popularity. People who were dear and close to me are also dear and close to me now, no more and no less. I cannot say that due to my popularity and, as a result, being busy, I cannot find time for my parents and loved ones, because for me family is a top priority. I devote the rest of my time to my creativity and work.
- What is there not enough time for?
I believe that there is enough time in the day to do everything, so I still go to the movies, I still go, I still go for walks with friends, I still travel, I still travel. I have enough time for everything.
— Where in the world did you like the most and where do you dream of going?
Vlad and I travel constantly, always! This is an integral part of our life, moreover, right now, answering questions for I-GENCY.RU , I am lying on a sun lounger in a very cozy villa in Greece and drinking a delicious cocktail. Travel is something that makes life worth living. There are already quite a lot of places in the world that I can call my favorites and where I constantly return, and probably my favorite place on earth is Bali, this year I will go there again!
— You have a lot of tattoos, what do they mean and in honor of what were they made?
Tattoos are an integral part of me, I always smile when I see comments on social networks, like, “you are so feminine, but your tattoos...”, or, for example, “you are so beautiful, if not for your tattooed arm.” To me, all this sounds as stupid as the phrases “you are so beautiful, but that terrible left knee” (laughs), or, for example, “you are so sexy, but your neck.”
I did tattoos exclusively for myself. Sometimes I woke up in the morning, looked at my hand and thought: “Oh my God! It’s not my hand until it has this design on it!” And then, when the drawing appeared on it, the hand became completely mine.
Yes, I have quite a lot of tattoos on my body and they all mean something very important, for example, I have a remake of my grandfather’s tattoo, as well as a huge owl on my right hand, which symbolizes my nocturnal creativity - I only write at night. When the city falls asleep, this creative spark ignites in me.
I have inscriptions on my ribs, this is very personal, and another very important tattoo for Vlad and I, they are the same - this is a symbol that was created especially for us by our master and a very close friend, one might even say a spiritual teacher, and this a very special person in our lives. If we explain it in layman’s terms, then this is a kind of talisman, Vlad and I, who protects our family. We really believe in symbolism, and our attitude towards such things is exactly the same.
— Tell us about your beauty secrets and what you always carry with you in your makeup bag?
I am very sensitive to cosmetics, because at one time I even received a “crust” as a makeup artist. I believe that any girl should be able to hide her small flaws and emphasize her strengths. This is very important, so one day I will also send my future daughter to make-up courses so that she can learn to be even better and more attractive.
I always have mineral mattifying powder, lip balm, light pink blush, and moisturizer with me. I believe that in general it is very important for a girl to take care of herself; for me, the girl who nature has awarded with perfect eyes, nose and other parts of the body is not always beautiful; for me, the girl who is beautiful is the one who is well-groomed, who shines, who has healthy skin, shiny hair.
— We’ve sorted out cosmetics, but what role does sport play in your life?
A very important role, I’m generally a very active person and I can’t live without sports. But due to lack of time, I can’t afford to spend three hours in the gym every day. Therefore, I found the ideal system for myself, and at the wedding many came up to me and said to me: “Rita, why are you so thin, how were you able to lose so much weight?” It’s very simple – I work out using the Get Body system, you’ve probably heard what it is? This is such a scary suit that is put on you, connected to a special device and you train as usual, it just gives an additional load, and it turns out that you are working with additional weight. And in half an hour of training you get the same effect as in three hours spent in the gym.
Very often I go for massages and body wraps, for various body treatments. I have a wonderful friend, Natalia Kalaus, and she has her own beauty center, where I actually go as a friend (laughs). I study it myself and highly recommend it to everyone, because it really is a very effective story.
— Before we let you go back to the sun lounger, tell us about your impressions of the wedding?
The wedding turned out to be simply amazing, chic, it really was a dream wedding and everything was so cool and incredible! Thank you very much to my friend Anya Gorodzhaya who organized this event and helped us with everything from start to finish. It was a wonderful wedding, our guests still text me to say that this was the best event they have ever been to in their lives, and for me this is very, very flattering, pleasant and valuable.
