Then Arkady Petrov proposed Gradsky's candidacy. Gradsky not only composed the music in this film, but also performed vocal parts[10]. Released in 1974, the film was a significant success and brought fame to the creator of the film's music. Apartment of Alexander Gradsky

The musician has been living in a multi-room apartment at 17K2 Maria Ulyanova Street for more than twenty years. His children were born here, but he did the renovations only in the early 90s. The renovation took a little over a year and the owner took an active part in it, while simultaneously building his own theater.

The interior turned out to be very bright. A snow-white fireplace with soft sofas and the same snow-white grand piano were installed in the living room. The overall design can be described as discreetly luxurious.

According to CIAN, at the address of Maria Ulyanova, 17K2, there are currently two offers for sale at a price of 13 to 16 million rubles.

After the birth of his second son, he bought a second apartment on Mosfilmovskaya Street, which is more likely intended for work and comfortable rest after it. When remodeling a 30 sq.m. kitchen. meters, the owner decided to invite one of the popular programs about repairs to help.

All the rough work had already been done in the room, so the program specialists only had to think through the design project and bring it to life. One common space was divided into three functional areas: kitchen, dining and relaxation area.

The kitchen apron and the floor under it were laid out of black granite, and the rest of the floors here were laid out with marble slabs. The kitchen set, measuring almost six meters, was made in a Russian factory; the light-colored facade is made of oak with a patina effect and milling.

Gradsky chose the Art Nouveau chandelier for himself. At the beginning of the project, he agreed that he would choose one interior object himself.

Parquet boards were laid in the dining and living areas. At the very beginning, the designer proposed a round table for the dining room, but during the work process they decided to replace it with a square-shaped table, since the owner wanted a more masculine space, with clear and simple lines.

The room has three very wide windows, which, at the owner’s request, were not covered with dark curtains, but only two of them were hung with transparent tulle and light-colored curtains, and the third was left open.

The relaxation area was equipped with a soft sofa with high pillows and a plasma with professional sound equipment. This part is convenient not only to relax, but also to work. The sitting area is separated from the dining area by a long cabinet, which can also serve as a bar counter.

According to CIAN, apartments on Mosfilmovskaya Street cost from 12 to 110 million rubles.

Alexander Gradsky was married three times.

The first wife is Natalya Mikhailovna Gradskaya. He calls his first marriage “an act of youth”[20].

Second wife - Anastasia Vertinskaya (actress). They were married from 1976 to 1980, although they separated in 1978[21].

Third wife - Olga Semyonovna Gradskaya (born June 7, 1960). They were married from 1980 to 2001. Two children:

  • daughter Maria Gradskaya - (b. January 14, 1986)[21] - graduated from Moscow State University, TV presenter and art manager.

Since 2003, the actual wife is Marina Vladimirovna Kotashenko (born November 22, 1984) - an actress, graduated from VGIK in 2009)[22][23].

In September 2014, son Alexander was born[22][24].

In October 2020, son Ivan was born[25].

He never married the mother of his youngest children

After the divorce from Olga, very little time passed when 23-year-old Marina Kotashenko appeared in the singer’s life. The girl came to Moscow from Kyiv and worked in one of the modeling agencies in the capital. She was good enough to be Gradsky’s daughter—a full 36 years younger than him.

Gradsky saw her on the street and could not pass by. “I drove up in a car to a girl who seemed to me to be of heavenly beauty,” he said in one interview. “I decided that if I don’t get to know her, I’ll never forgive myself for this.” Although at that moment I was not in the best shape for dating - dirty, returning from a construction site. There was no certainty that she would want to get to know me. And then I said a sacramental phrase: “Girl, you have a chance to touch history.” And he neighed, as if embarrassed. Marina grinned, because not only did she not recognize my face, but she didn’t even know who Gradsky was, but she took my phone. And two weeks later I called back.”

When the 54-year-old musician began to be accompanied everywhere by a young, long-legged blonde, no one took her seriously. However, she is still by his side. Moreover, Gradsky never officially married Marina. Although they have been living in a civil marriage for 15 years and the couple has two sons. Alexander is already 4 years old, and just recently, in October, the 69-year-old musician became a father again. Marina gave her husband a son, Ivan.

Gradsky admits that he is a very complex, restless person, and his horoscope is Scorpio. “I was lucky: Marina is also a Scorpio. And two Scorpios are already a couple, like a female and a male,” Alexander Borisovich smiles. “And I’m far from the richest person Marina could count on.” With her data, she is able to interest a man much richer, younger and more beautiful than me. Therefore, it is more convenient for me to assume that she likes to be close to me.”

Alexander Gradsky: I earn more than other famous people!

Anastasia Vertinskaya arrived in a truck to seduce the legendary singer

Musician, poet and composer Alexander GRADSKY became a living legend back in Soviet times. At the same time, managing to never mix with the crowd, even if it is at least three times starry, fashionable and famous. The famous journalist Evgeny DODOLEV was the first to risk writing a book about a rock loner, whom he sincerely considers a genius. It’s called “The VOICE,” which is especially relevant after Alexander Borisovich’s participation in the super-popular Channel One project.

The book by Evgeny Dodolev has a shocking subtitle - “Shit in Eternity.” We asked the author himself to tell us where it came from.

“In 2009, on his 60th birthday, Gradsky finally presented the opera “The Master and Margarita,” which he had been working on for 30 years,” said Dodolev . — After the premiere, Kolya Fomenko , who performed one of the parts (I happened to be nearby at that moment), came up to him and said: “Well, Sasha, congratulations, you shit yourself into eternity!” Gradsky reacted with humor to such a free handling of eternity. And then he even came up with the idea of creating a rock band called “Shit”. And let them say after that: “But the group is shit!” It won't be a shame at all.

The artist met his current wife Marina on the street, intriguing her with the phrase: “Girl, you have the opportunity to touch history!”

- But Gradsky has a very high opinion of himself, as follows from his statements, which are published in the book. — Yes, the book, in addition to the author’s observations and essays, contains articles and notes by Alexander Borisovich, as well as various interviews that were recorded over decades by friends, relatives, and so on, including myself. Gradsky knows his worth. But he is not a systematic person. The system as a whole never liked him. If it weren’t for Konchalovsky and Pakhmutova (the “Cossack women” of the piece world sent into the system), who blessed Gradsky with their names, it would have been even more difficult for him.
Then he helped. To many. — You noted the culinary abilities of Alexander Borisovich...

“He goes to the market himself, prepares his own salad and makes great cutlets.” This was the case with all his wives - they are also written about in the book. By the way, Gradsky the culinary specialist is proof of the thesis that it is not so much the ingredients that are important, but the mood with which you cook. He has no ready-made recipes. Neither in creativity, nor in the kitchen.

GRADSKY will separate from his first wife Natalya three months after the wedding

I bring to the attention of interested readers excerpts from the book, where Alexander Borisovich himself talks about his beloved women, relationships with colleagues and much more.

About colleagues:

“I think they’re all crap, but I never name anyone specifically.” Therefore, each of them thinks that I think this about the other. And that suits everyone. At the same time, they consider me a person not in their circle. And they don’t talk about me even when I do something serious and good to them. In connection with the beginning of her career, Aguzarova Pugacheva , who put on her an idiotic blue dress with white socks at a concert at the Olympic Stadium, in which Zhanna looked very strange. Zhenya Khavtan , whom I sent to work at the Moscow Regional Philharmonic, where they accepted his program, which should not have been accepted, also somehow prefers not to remember this... So I hired Pugacheva to work in “Jolly Fellows” - he sang it, playing along on the piano in Ilyusha Reznik ... We have such a funny neutrality: I don’t touch them, they don’t touch me.

About money:

“Once upon a time, Leva Leshchenko had a good drink, and he said in a cheerful mood: “It’s good, Sanechek, that they don’t show you much.” I asked: why? And he replied: “If you were shown a lot, we would all have to shoot ourselves.” I have been dosed since my first show. But I can explain why this doesn’t bother me much. Those who need to will hear me. And then, 36 years into my career, I still get paid a lot: I earn more than other famous people who are shown all the time. This is one of the indicators for me: if I earn money, it means there is a lot of me.

The singer lived with his second wife Anastasia VERTINSKAYA for four years

About the film “Romance of Lovers”:
- At first they signed a contract with me for six songs. I was pleased, because at that time I was earning eighty rubles a month from dancing, well, or a hundred. And then they gave me a fee of six hundred rubles. And I thought: “This is “grandma”, now we’ll go on a spree...” And suddenly my friend, a music editor, calls me and says: “Sanek, they want to deceive you. You will give them songs, from which someone else will make music for a film and receive eight thousand rubles for it.” I immediately dial Andron and ask: “Is this true?” He hesitated, and I realized that this would be the case. Then I said: “Either I will be the author of the music for the film and get all the money, or go to hell!” - and hung up. And then only members of the Union of Composers wrote music for films, and the youngest composer in the entire history of cinema was Mark Minkov . But even he was twenty-nine, not twenty-three like me. It all ended with me going down in history as the youngest composer with whom they signed a contract to write music. It was Andron who broke the deal and explained to everyone that I was crazy and that he couldn’t do anything about me. He also banged his fist somewhere and said (as they told me): “He may be crazy, but I need his songs.” So I became a composer on “Romance...”, received my first big money, bought a car and became a free man.

Third wife Olga (far left). Next to Alexander is her younger sister Lyuda

About marriages:
- It was generally a youth act. We were young, and at first we had a wonderful relationship, which gradually began to disappear. And we decided: now let’s go, get married, and everything will be restored. They went, got married, and three months later, when they realized that nothing was being restored, they shook hands, kissed and parted ways. The second marriage (we are talking about Nastya Vertinskaya - E.D. ) - it was a serious, big romance, almost four years. Maybe I shouldn't have gotten married. Such an affair is sometimes better than marriage. The third time my wife and I lived together for twenty years ( Olga Semyonovna Gradskaya gave birth to Genius both children, Danya and Masha. Gradsky’s “fourth time” continues with Marina for almost ten years to this day. - E. D. ).

About the purchase of the first Zhiguli:

— I bought it by accident, by appointment. In 1975. That’s when they paid me money for the movie. I’m riding a trolleybus from Kievskaya to Mosfilm, and I see a gigantic queue near the ring bridge. I immediately went out and asked: what are they giving? It turned out that the cars were being recorded. And there are already five thousand people. I waved my hand and went back. Suddenly they call out to me: “Sanek!” It turned out that sixth or seventh in this line was an acquaintance of mine - a swimmer, silver medalist of the Olympic Games in swimming. He tells me: stand in front of me, one of us didn’t come here. I got up. An hour later I was signed up. And two weeks later I was driving a car. Third model. It cost 7500 rubles. Red. At twenty-six years old in my own car!

About Anastasia Vertinskaya:

— We met at a party in the same house. I tried to hit on her, but nothing came of it. But six months later I had a concert at the MPEI sports camp near Alushta. Nastya, as it turned out, was vacationing in a neighboring village with her sister and friends, and someone told her about the concert. Well, Crimea, heat, wine, sea - you understand how they work... She went out onto the road, caught a passing truck - a ZIL-130 - and came to my camp. At this time, I, quite refreshed after the night’s libations, was sitting on the seashore, wondering whether I should throw myself into the water to cool off. Suddenly a girl appears nearby in a housecoat, scruffy, with cracked glasses, like those of a Bulgakov character: “This is how we rest, then?” At first I didn’t even understand who she was. And when I realized it, I was very surprised. In a word, we somehow immediately, without tension, without effort on anyone’s part, began a romance. We seemed to merge in Crimean ecstasy. We went to some crazy drinking party in the camp, wandered around the mountains, ate lamb, drank wine, walked quite drunk along forest paths and just became very close... Then I drove off to Moscow - I was in my car, and it was supposed to arrive in a couple of days days. We agreed that I would meet her. However, a little before reaching the Moscow ring road, I smashed the car to smithereens, which turned over from a half-oncoming impact into a truck. After which I had to send Nastya a telegram, warning me that I couldn’t meet her because Annushka spilled the sunflower oil, but I was alive and well. In short, she was met and brought home by Oleg Nikolaevich Efremov , she immediately got into her car and came to pick me up. And my friends and I were just drinking on the occasion of a miraculous rescue from certain death; she put me in the car and took me to her place. So I stayed with her...

Married to Olga, they had a son, Daniel, and a daughter, Maria.

About his third wife Olga (they lived together for 23 years):
- I just broke up with Nastya. My friend invited me to a performance at a theater school, where his girlfriend’s friend was performing. “Let’s go,” he says, “to a performance in Shchukinskoye, there are a lot of beautiful girls there. Maybe you’ll find someone for yourself.” I had a lot of beautiful girls I knew, but he said that Shchukinskoye was a flower garden, and I went. And almost immediately, a few places away from me, I saw an absolutely amazingly beautiful eighteen-year-old girl. And he looked at her with all his eyes. Then there was a break, we got to know each other, and after the performance the whole group went to my house for a drink. Olya and I began to communicate, and gradually it turned out that all the other girls I had at that time faded into the background. Then - to the third plan, then - to the fifth. And then we began to spend almost every day and every evening with her; the next morning she didn’t want to go to the university.

I didn’t consider it a romance with the prospect of marriage. And suddenly I find out that Olya is expecting a child. It worked out that way for her physiology: she definitely had to give birth to the first one. I was faced with a question: should I give up the unexpected child, or should I get married? And I finally officially divorced Nastya, I’m finally free, although a bitter aftertaste remained in my soul, and what – back into the yoke?! Olya, however, didn’t “attack” me, although she had a lot of problems: she lived in a Moscow State University dormitory, studied at the Faculty of Economics... My apartment is terrible... One morning we overslept her first couple, I put her in car, we drove out onto Leninsky Prospekt, and I pulled over at the registry office. She came out: “Well, well! Are you thinking about getting married? - “Do you mind?” - “No, I don’t mind.” We got married in November and had a baby in March. I consider all this a wonderful decision and a wonderful action, albeit spontaneous...

On relations with the KGB:

I remember after the concert in Chelyabinsk and following the canceled by Grebenshchikov at the Palace of Culture, Rusakov was summoned to the Lubyanka. During the conversation, I heard an insinuatingly formulated question: “What is your strange song, Comrade Gradsky: “And all around from the Ivanovs the earth is shaking”?” I say: “These are poems by Sasha Cherny . Published in the USSR." The investigator didn’t believe it and asked to bring the book. You know, I answer, order it from Leninka, read it and make sure, but I bought mine on the black market. He told me: “Not everything that is printed in our country can be sung.” At this point I threw up my hands: well, number the poems that are allowed to become songs and which are not. In short, a strange conversation took place. As a result, they let me go, making a written promise not to perform unfilled songs in the future. And I never sang them. I left the KGB building, two young lieutenants were standing on the porch, smoking and looking sideways in my direction. Then one says: “Don’t be stupid, Borisych. Everything will be alright. Our boss greets you a little, but we love you, we won’t let you be offended.” Why, I ask, such an honor? He answers: “And you threw a BBC correspondent down the stairs.” A couple of years before, an Englishman came, said nasty things about Russia and demanded it from me. I endured and endured, and then I kicked this goat out. I hate it when foreigners trash my country.

About the “Voice” project and singer Sevara:

— There was no “quarrel” with Lenya and Dima. It was just an attack on my part that was too harsh FOR THIS PROJECT, which I later regretted, which I confirmed live, because I myself believed and still believe that the format of the project is, first of all, GOOD and to violate it for anyone, including me yourself, it's just not worth it. And Sevara was “set aside” by Lenya for a reason - apparently because he decided that it was better for her to leave at the “peak” of success than to just “show off” in the remaining tours...
