Halsey's work is regularly compared to other popular vocalists, from Lana del Rey to Lorde, but her unique blends of pop music are rarely seen in other singers.

Halsey creates concept albums
The first album “Badlands” is completely dedicated to one story, from the first track to the last. This is a complete story that expresses all the singer’s thoughts and feelings, as well as a vivid example of her skill in combining different melodies. It is also worth noting that when creating the concept, Halsey was inspired by projects such as Mad Max, conveying the state of being in an endless desert.
The second album, Hopeless Fountain Kingdom, used the concept of the doomed love of Romeo and Juliet and was also inspired by the famous Baz Luhrmann film. In addition to audio recordings, vivid clips were released, which became parts of a single full-length film.
Halsey herself regularly has to check to ensure that the media does not distort her words.
I called the work an “angry woman’s record,” but it was called feminist. The quote was distorted by a man - how ironic. In any case, I believe that feminism has been around for centuries, and we are not the first generation to strive for it, and we will not be the last. There is some comfort in this: to unite with people who have the same goals as you.
But in her last work, the girl still talked about her experiences, and not the feelings of fictional characters. In "Without Me," Halsey navigates the horrors of the debilitating relationship she found herself in, and it is this painful record that has won the attention of hundreds of thousands of listeners around the world.

Went through a lot of difficulties
It may seem that Halsey is living like a fairy tale - album after album occupying the top lines of the charts, collaborations with fashion brands and performers, a performance at Victoria Secret and other important aspects of the life of popular singers. But it’s worth knowing that Halsey already spent time in a psychiatric hospital at the age of 17, and also had a relationship with a guy suffering from heroin addiction, and knows firsthand what serious problems due to relationships are.
Before Halsey had the chance to host her own tour, she toured the country with Imagine Dragons and The Weeknd. But the personal tour turned out to be a serious test for the girl: in 2020, due to the overload associated with frequent concerts, the girl suffered a miscarriage. She didn't talk about it for several years, but later shared her experience of the experience and also revealed that she had frozen her eggs in case of serious fertility problems in the future.

After this, Ashley began collaborating with Astralwerks. On October 27, 2014, the first Room 93
, consisting of five songs: “Hurricane”, “Ghost”, “Trouble”, “Empty Gold”, “Is There Somewhere”[16]. The album failed to bring Halsey worldwide fame and critical acclaim.
“Ghost” and “Hurricane” became singles and featured videos telling the story of ) and the story of the couple from this ). The action of the clips takes place in a motel, in room number 93. Also on the singer’s page there are two teasers for two more songs: “Trouble” and “Empty Gold”.
Badlands[ | ]
Album Badlands
was released on August 28, 2020[17]. The first single after the album's release was New Americana, it was announced on July 10, 2020, and a video for this song was released in September. The album had poor sales and was a commercial failure.
In January 2020, it was announced that "Colors" would be the third single from the album and a music video featuring Tyler Posey was released on February 25.[18]
In 2016, the song "Castle" was slightly modified, and then released as a soundtrack to the movie "Snow White and the Huntsman 2" (OST Snow White and the Huntsman 2)[19].
Hopeless Fountain Kingdom[ | ]
The second album, entitled Hopeless Fountain Kingdom,
[20]. The album and singles from the album did not achieve chart success, and had poor sales worldwide.
On April 4, the single “[en]”[21] was released. It was followed by Eyes Closed

Strangers
(25 May). The latter was recorded with Lauren Jauregui, a member of Fifth Harmony.
According to the singer, the idea of the album is a story about two young people. Their families (Angelus and Aurum) have been at enmity for a long time, so the lovers cannot be together. Dual about everything
Halsey's father, Chris Frangipani, is African-American with Irish roots, and her mother is half Italian and half Hungarian. Because of this, Ashley is considered a binational girl.
The singer also suffers from bipolar disorder and openly declares it on her social networks and, moreover, considers it her mission to educate others about the importance of mental health. Halsey communicates with her fans on social media and from time to time even shows stories that people with bipolar disorder send her to bring attention to the existing problem of stigmatization of everyone with bipolar disorder.
Additionally, Halsey comes out as bisexual. Personal life
There is no need to complain about the lack of male attention to a beauty 163 cm tall and weighing just over 50 kg, whose body is decorated with tattoos and piercings. Halsey was credited with having affairs with the lead singer of the indie rock band Matt Healy and musician Joshua Dun. Jared Leto and member of the American duo The Chainsmokers Andrew Taggart fell under the charm of the bright girl. There were rumors that a business relationship with the Norwegian performer and producer Lido was combined with a romantic one.
And all this despite Halsey’s statement that she is bisexual and advocates for the rights of the LGBT community.
Halsey and Matt Healy
In 2017, the media noticed the artist at an after-party of the Yves Saint Laurent fashion house in company with rapper Gerald Earl Gillum, whom the music crowd knows as G-Eazy. The relaxed behavior of the guy and the girl made it clear that the connection between them is very strong.
Fans were even more confirmed in their guesses when G-Eazy came to Brooklyn's Barclays Center for Halsey's concert. The couple performed the rapper’s new hit “No Limit” and exchanged tender glances and kisses. Without any embarrassment, the singer addressed Gillum as “my boo boo,” and Gerald, in turn, called Ashley “the most beautiful girl in the world.”
Halsey and G-easy
The musicians recorded a joint single and video “Him and I”, which, according to rumors, was supposed to be performed by G-Easy’s former passion Lana del Rey. The song was included on Gerald's fifth long-play entitled "The Beautiful & Damned".
The singer is a fan of Larry Clark and Quentin Tarantino, and prefers Brand New, One Direction and Amy Winehouse in music.
