The married couple has been together for almost 20 years, and, according to the actor himself, the feeling of love that he was able to experience during the first days of meeting never leaves him for a moment.
Before meeting Ekaterina, Igor Savochkin’s personal life was quite stormy. He had many relationships with the opposite sex, but none of this was serious. It was Catherine who managed to change his life. There is an opinion that living together can kill that very tender feeling of love in the chosen ones, however, looking at this couple, you involuntarily realize that real feelings can only grow stronger with the time spent together.
“I love my wife very much. I am ready to spend literally every minute of my life with her. Katya is a wonderful person. She will always support me and reassure me if necessary. I can turn to her with absolutely any question or request. She will definitely listen and tell you what to do wisely in a given situation. “I am grateful to fate for giving me Ekaterina.”

His father had a very direct connection to culture - after graduating from the Moscow Institute of Culture, he worked at the Saratov Regional Department of Culture, and later as editor-in-chief of the Trud newspaper and was the only cultural worker in the family. Igor’s mother and sister are teachers. The boy did not plan to follow in his father’s footsteps and connect his life with creativity. Like most of his peers, he loved to misbehave, which is why he was well known to the employees of the children's room of the police.
After graduating from school, Igor Savochkin became a student at the Saratov Institute of Agricultural Mechanization. True, I was in the fourth year, became interested in theater and even decided to abandon my studies at the institute, but thanks to my mother, I still graduated and received an engineering degree. As a young specialist, I worked in this technical specialty for a year and a half. But the dream of the stage did not leave Igor. Therefore, for two whole years he was an active participant in the theater studio of Vladimir Zakharovich Fedoseev, director of the Saratov Theater for Young Spectators and his father’s friend.
At the age of 24, Igor entered the Saratov State Conservatory at the theater department. The hectic student and theater life captivated the guy, and his years of study flew by unnoticed. How did his creative activity begin?
To continue the biography of Igor Yuryevich Savochkin, it is necessary to provide information about how his creative activity began.
The young man's parents persuaded him to join the troupe, with which he studied and performed for 2 years. The theater captured him so much that after mandatory training in his profession, the actor decided to enter the theater department of the Saratov Conservatory.
Already in 1991, he graduated from the university and received a diploma of second higher education. At that time, fate prepared him an excellent opportunity to gain fame. After all, he was invited to work at the Moscow Theater “On the Boards”. The young actor moved to this city with friends, and together they rented a house in the Peredelkino area. Unfortunately, the 90s were a difficult time for Russian cinema.
Igor Yuryevich Savochkin had to work in cemeteries, as a loader, and as a taxi driver. He came to Moscow twice. For the first time, he returned to his hometown again, having worked there for 7 years as a radio presenter. The second attempt to defeat Moscow was successful. In 1999, he participated in the filming of the film “Our 90s”. After this picture, the actor again experienced a lull. He began his active career in 2004. Since then, he has been involved in 3-4 TV series and films per year.
Actor career
The beginning of the 90s was not the best time for theatrical life, so Igor had a hard time at first. There wasn’t enough money, so I had to work as a taxi driver, salesman, and even as a cemetery watchman. His addiction to the green serpent also did not contribute to his rapid creative rise - because of his drunkenness, he was almost kicked out of the theater.
Igor Savochkin’s height is 185 cm. Savochkin made his film debut in 1992, playing a tiny role in the film “If I Knew...”. This was followed by a short episode in the film “Trotsky” and after that came a long, almost seven-year break.
Savochkin wandered around in the capital for almost seven years, moved from the Na Doskakh Theater to the Pokrovka Theater, but never achieved the desired success and decided to return home. Interview with Igor Savochkin In Saratov, Igor got a job as an announcer at a local radio station, and soon met Timur Bekmambetov. This meeting was a real gift of fate for Igor and completely changed his life. The director invited him to work at his company, where Igor initially voiced commercials, did post-production, and then began acting in Bekmambetov’s films. He returned to Moscow again, and this time the capital submitted to the persistent provincial.
Igor Savochkin on the set of the film “Officers 2” In 2000, Igor returned to the screens, playing himself in Bekmambetov’s film “Our 90s”. The next work was a small role in the large-scale fantasy “Night Watch”, which became a real event of that time.
Igor Savochkin in the film “Night Watch” With the light hand of Bekmambetov, Savochkin gradually found his niche in Russian cinema and began to regularly appear on screens in the roles of inveterate criminals and harsh military men. Viewers are well familiar with his work in the films “Tin” (2006), “Admiral” (2008), “Saboteur” (2007), “Home” (2011), “Leviathan” (2014) and many others. His filmography also includes comedy projects (“Yolki-3”, “House Arrest”), and the actor himself considers his best work to be the role of Tolyan in the series “Gromovs”.
