“Scandalous” Leonid Zakoshansky moves from NTV to “Russia-1”

Career of Leonid Zakoshansky

Soon after graduating from school, the young man set off to conquer the capital.
In 2001, he participated in the dance show Urbans, which presented theatrical humorous performances to the audience, which were based on such popular styles as hip-hop, R&B and other areas of street dance. He also had the opportunity to work as a salesman, a fitness trainer, test his creative abilities on the radio in the Next Cilebreties program, as an art director of a nightclub and even as a fashion designer. While attending various castings, he worked to make his main dream come true - to get on television. The showman’s media path, in which he subsequently achieved enormous success, began at the age of 18 with the reality show “7 in the Sun-4.” He learned about the upcoming pre-selection for participation in the project, designed to demonstrate the originality of his heroes on the sunny shores of an exotic resort, from friends who worked on a music channel.

For the sake of his career, Leonid Zakoshansky participated in a reality show

The young man arrived for the audition right after work in the office, dressed in a classic suit, saw a huge number of applicants and decided to introduce himself as a producer. His courage and creativity were appreciated. But what helped him finally win over the audience was the answer to the presenters’ question – whether he had a close relationship with one of the pretty participants in the show. He honestly admitted that he already had a girlfriend who was present on the program, and introduced her to the audience. This original PR idea worked - not only was he among the participants who went to Turkey, but then he won the show.

As a result, the ambitious young man, who had a pronounced individuality, achieved his goal - he began working on television, became a public person and a popular presenter. Over the 4 years of work at Muz-TV, he took part in about 20 projects, including live broadcasts; he was also invited to Channel One in such highly rated and entertaining shows as “Ice Age” and “King of the Ring.”

Leonid Zakoshansky really wanted to become a TV presenter

In 2005, in accordance with family tradition, he graduated from the Tula Law College, and in 2010 from the Moscow Regional Humanitarian Institute with a degree in jurisprudence.

In 2008, Leonid, under the pseudonym Lenya Zak, became co-host of Vladimir Tishenkov (Vova Shket) in the talk show “You Won’t Believe It!” on NTV, which told about the social life of celebrities with incredible and stunning facts from their biographies. Leonid often had to voice scandalous and always sensational stories. In 2009, after the death of his colleague (from alcohol poisoning), he became the sole host of the program, which often caused conflicting reviews from viewers, but had sky-high ratings.

In 2011, the NTV channel launched a new project, “Let’s make peace!”, during which Leonid, as an excellent secular reporter, tried to accomplish the almost impossible - to restore harmony and peaceful relations between quarreling star opponents. In 2012, another informational talk show with his participation appeared on HTV - “We Talk and Show”, where exclusive video materials were offered, interesting and topical topics were discussed, eyewitnesses of the events and their direct participants were involved, the circumstances and reasons for what happened were investigated. The charismatic presenter's legal education came in handy.

Subsequently, the rating of the program reached a level commensurate with the popularity of the show “Let Them Talk” by Andrei Malakhov. Many viewers and participants like Leonid’s approach to problems and comments even more than his famous colleague. They eagerly reveal their secrets to him, talk about personal tragedies in the hope of getting answers to many questions. Later, the media genius, who began his career as a simple VJ on MUZ-TV, took the post of executive editor of television programs on NTV. He also produced a number of projects and performed independent acts as an entertainer.

Career

Before getting a job in television, Leonid worked part-time in a gym, in a nightclub, and worked as a salesman, fashion designer and radio host.

Zakoshansky's creative growth as a showman began in 2001. Leonid participated in the casting for a reality show. He came to the audition in a formal suit and introduced himself as the producer, securing himself a place in the project with this trick. After a successful casting on the MUZ-TV channel, Zakoshansky became a participant in the Seven Under the Sun project. After winning this show, prospects for working on a music channel in the capital opened up for Leonid.

Over the course of several years of work at MUZ-TV, Leonid became a popular TV presenter of this channel. Popularity gave him the opportunity to step further, and in 2008 he moved to NTV in the television program “You Won’t Believe It!” At this time, Leonid’s collaboration with Channel One also began; he became a participant in a number of television projects as an invited guest.

The first seasons of the program “You Won’t Believe It!” filmed with the participation of two presenters. Leonid's colleague was Vladimir Tishenkov. In 2009, Zakoshansky’s co-host died of alcohol poisoning. During the filming of the program, Leonid had conflicts with Russian pop stars, since the program material was often scandalous.

In May 2008, there was a loud conflict between Leonid and singer Vlad Topalov. Zakoshansky at that time was the host of the provocative program “You Won’t Believe It!” As the media reported, the singer was the initiator of the conflict. In one restaurant in the capital, he accidentally met Zakoshansky, and a verbal altercation escalated into a brawl, which had to be broken up by local security.

The fight between the men did take place. Zakoshansky and Topalov became opponents in the boxing show “King of the Ring”. The results of the fight were declared a draw. There is a version that the conflict was fictitious in order to draw attention to the performance of Leonid and Vlad in the show. The archival recording of the fight shows that Zakoshansky is hardly involved in a fake fight, as he makes a lot of effort to transfer the opponent to a horizontal position.

At the beginning of 2008, Zakoshansky took part in one of the seasons of the show “Ice Age”. The TV presenter's partner on the ice was Olympic champion in pair skating Tatyana Totmyanina. The couple dropped out of the show before reaching the final competition.

Leonid, while learning the intricacies of skating, sometimes trained with Zhanna Friske. The singer and TV presenter’s partners in “Ice Age,” Maxim Marinin and Tatyana Totmyanina, won Olympic gold together in Turin, so they sometimes trained their players together. Footage of Zakoshansky and Friske skating together was included in the episode of the “We Talk and Show” program, released in the summer of 2015 and dedicated to the memory of Zhanna.

In 2009, the TV presenter appeared in the New Year's edition of the Let's Get Married program. In this show, he became one of the contenders for the hand and heart of singer Yulia Kovalchuk. Leonid's rivals were famous actors Maxim Averin and Alexander Nosik. Julia did not choose any of the candidates as husbands, but the star-studded episode of the show “Let’s Get Married” had good ratings and increased the army of Zakoshansky’s fans.

In 2010, Leonid received a fashionable haircut from Philip Kirkorov. During the filming of the program “You Won’t Believe It!” Zakoshansky interviewed the ex-husband of Alla Borisovna Pugacheva. Philip Bedrosovich and Leonid did not agree on the singer’s hair. Based on this dispute, one of the episodes of the program “You Won’t Believe It!” was filmed, in which the host of the program was shaved bald by Kirkorov himself.

The new project “Let's make peace” with the participation of Zakoshansky appeared on NTV in 2011. The program examined the causes of star conflicts and ways to reconcile the parties. The “Talk and Show” project, which brought Leonid popularity, began airing in 2011. To work with the topics of the new program, Leonid reconsidered his manner of communicating with the audience, becoming more tactful, calm and collected. However, the scandalous nature of the project remained.

The programs discussed topics about domestic violence, unusual diseases, and experiments with appearance. The heroes of the program were Angelina Vovk, Nikita Dzhigurda, Alexey Panin, Anastasia Volochkova, Bari Alibasov and others. But mostly the guests of the studio were ordinary people.

Successful work on NTV projects helped Zakoshansky take the post of editor-in-chief and producer of television programs on this channel. The presenter is also invited as an entertainer at award ceremonies of famous music and television awards. On his Instagram, Zakoshansky indicated that he is the founder.

Host of the “Coming Out to People” program Leonid Zakoshansky / Russia-1

In October 2020, Zakoshansky’s new project called “Also People” was released, which is dedicated to the lives of prominent non-public representatives of sports, music and fashion.

During his creative biography, Leonid starred in several films, where he played the role of himself. In 2007, the showman was invited to the series “The Personal Life of Doctor Selivanova,” where he appeared in an episode. Four years later, Leonid played the role of a showman in the comedy “All Inclusive!” Zakoshansky embodied a similar image in the film “Big Laughing,” in which the stars of the TV show “6 Frames,” Anna Semenovich, Grigory Siyatvinda, starred.

The most notable project of this kind was the crime drama “Pennsylvania” with Konstantin Kryukov and Igor Vernik in the lead roles. Viewers saw the film in 2015.

Childhood and family of Leonid Zakoshansky

The future specialist in show business was born on July 31, 1984 in Tula. His relatives - his father, Andrei Alexandrovich, and his mother, Natalia Leonidovna - were not involved in the production of samovars, weapons or gingerbread, for which this ancient city is famous. They were involved in practical activities in the field of law, later establishing (with the help of their successful son) their own law office, the Zakoshansky Partnership.

Leonid Zakoshansky in childhood

During his school years, Leonid, like many of his peers, was successfully involved in cycling, martial arts and oriental practices, was fond of hip-hop culture, masterfully performed break-dance with a predominance of acrobatic elements, and danced professionally in a choreographic studio.

Young Leonid Zakoshansky

He was distinguished from other children by his especially subtle sense of humor, wit and erudition. He dreamed of working on television and already in the 11th grade he began filming his first reports about social life, broadcast on a local TV channel.

Childhood and youth

Zakoshansky was born on July 31, 1984 in the city of Tula. His parents met while studying at the Tolstoy Pedagogical Institute. His father worked as a trainer and taught his students hand-to-hand combat, and his mother worked as a guide in a museum. Later, Zakoshansky’s parent began working as a lawyer.

From childhood, the boy was actively involved in sports, where he was able to achieve very high results. He won championships more than once and was a prize-winner of various tournaments. He also trained professionally in a dance studio. For some time I seriously thought about developing a career as a dancer.

Already in 2001, after receiving a school certificate, Zakoshansky became a student at the College of Law. In 2006, he began studying at the capital's regional humanitarian institute.

Leonid Zakoshansky's wife photo

Since Leonid Zakoshansky is not only a famous TV presenter, but also a handsome man, many novels were attributed to him, and even, perhaps, all of them really existed. Such famous beauties as Alexa and Laysan Utyasheva appeared in his arms. True, as for the latter, it was most likely a PR stunt.

But the official wife of Leonid Zakoshansky was the Siberian Zhanna Lebedeva. The girl is an economist by training, but in fact worked as a model. A photo of Leonid Zakoshansky’s wife is presented below.

The TV presenter knew the girl from university, but they studied at different courses. Then life separated them and brought them together again at one of the social events. Six years of relationship brought Leonid Zakoshansky and, now, his wife in the winter of 2020 to the registry office of the city of Krasnogorsk.

Where they became official husband and wife without unnecessary pomp. In the middle of summer, Leonid Zakoshansky and his wife became the happy parents of little Leva. Zakoshansky's wife, Zhanna, is currently a housewife. Leonid helps her in everything, because, in his opinion, family and children should come first for a real man.

Leonid Zakoshansky is a shining example of how to achieve your goals in life. He is a wonderful husband and father and his career as a TV presenter will undoubtedly continue for many years to come.

Perhaps interesting: Wife of Pavel Chinarev, Husband of Laysan Utyasheva.

Personal life of Leonid Zakoshansky

The presenter is not married and has no children. His work schedule is very busy, and he has had little time to seriously think about starting a family, although he has already been close to marriage twice. He managed to maintain warm relations with his ex-lovers.

Leonid Zakoshansky and Laysan Utyasheva

He first had a relationship with a girl named Ksyusha, then, according to rumors, with gymnast Laysan Utyasheva (who married Pavel Volya in 2012 and subsequently gave birth to his son and daughter).

Leonid is a supporter of official marriage, and is ready for it as soon as he meets his only beloved on the path of life. Whether the heart of a successful showman is free or not at the moment is unknown. Leonid keeps his personal life secret, preferring to reveal other people's secrets.

He named (either jokingly or seriously) chemistry as his favorite school subject. His best movie was Once Upon a Time in America, and his favorite among film actors was Jim Carrey.

Personal life

The personal life of Leonid Zakoshansky interests his army of fans. The man admitted in every interview that he had a lover, but while he was single, the number of his fans increased. This was facilitated by the TV presenter’s elegant appearance, ability to confidently conduct a conversation, as well as Leonid’s physical fitness. With a height of 180 cm, his weight rarely exceeds 83 kg.

Leonid Zakoshansky and Alexa

In 2008, Zakoshansky had a short-term relationship with singer Alexa. The couple went to Euro 2008 together, which became known to the press. Alexa has not given interviews regarding this relationship.

In 2011, at a celebration in honor of his birthday, Zakoshansky received a passionate kiss from Laysan Utyasheva as a gift. The TV presenter was not shy about the cameras and the company of Leonid’s celebrity friends. To the kiss, the girl added a remark that she and Zakoshansky had been friends for almost ten years, and there was nothing surprising in such a manifestation of feelings.

Leonid Zakoshansky and Laysan Utyasheva

Such a statement completely confused the journalists; they decided that the couple was dating. Now the TV presenter has a family. Laysan Utyasheva married comedian Pavel Volya in 2012 and gave birth to two children. Zakoshansky maintains friendly relations with his colleague on the channel. Laysan Utyasheva’s family did not become an obstacle to her friendship with Leonid.

In one interview, Zakoshansky admitted that he is not afraid of family life and will get married as soon as he meets a girl suitable for this. This statement was the TV presenter’s reaction to the fact that he was included in the list of star bachelors in Russia. According to Leonid, by that time he had already been close to marriage twice in his life.

For the New Year holidays 2016-2017, Leonid and his girlfriend flew to Miami.

Leonid Zakoshansky and Zhanna Lebedeva

In February 2020, Leonid Zakoshansky secretly got married. The TV presenter's chosen one was Zhanna Lebedeva, with whom he spent the New Year holidays in Miami. The girl turned out to be from Novosibirsk, where she graduated from the economics department of the university. During and after her studies, she performed at beauty contests and mastered the profession of a model. Before the official marriage, the couple dated for six years. The newlyweds exchanged rings at the registry office of Krasnogorsk.

Leonid Zakoshansky with his son

In July, six months after the wedding, Zakoshansky and Lebedeva became parents. His wife gave Leonid a son, who was named Leo. This development of events finally dotted the i’s in the issue of the TV presenter’s orientation. After all, at first even his colleagues doubted that Leonid liked girls, as one of them spoke about in an interview.

The TV presenter’s Instagram contains a lot of photos of motorcycles and related paraphernalia, because he is the president of the Pride MC motorcycle club. Leonid also likes to publish photos with friends. Zakoshansky is fond of extreme sports; he snowboards and has jumped into the sea from a 23-meter cliff.

Leonid Zakoshansky and Andrey Malakhov

There are joint photos on his page with Andrei Malakhov, whom the showman calls a friend in the comments. Men host similar programs on different channels. For this reason, they are often compared and even considered to be hostile. Andrei Malakhov and Leonid Zakoshansky have many mutual friends; the TV presenters often meet at official and unofficial events and do not consider themselves enemies.
