Ivan Kolesnikov, biography: family and childhood
Born in Moscow in 1983 (March 18). He comes from a creative and respected family. Our hero's father needs no special introduction. After all, this is the famous presenter and actor Sergei Kolesnikov. And his mother, Maria Velikanova, is a fashion designer. In the difficult 1990s for Russia, the ability to sew and draw greatly helped a woman. She sewed sheepskin coats to order, and used the remaining scraps of leather and fur to create unusual paintings. Ivan has an older brother, Alexander, who received a higher education as an architect.
Our hero grew up as an active and inquisitive child. The father often took his son with him to rehearsals at the theater. The boy watched with rapture what was happening on stage. Even then he wanted to become an actor.
There were always many guests in the Kolesnikovs’ cramped apartment, located on Belorusskaya Street. Vanya entertained them in every possible way: he danced, recited poems and suggested funny games.
Noticing her son’s creative inclinations, his mother enrolled him in one of the children’s theater studios. The boy enjoyed attending classes. But soon he developed a new hobby. There was a shooting range in the same room as the studio. That's where he started going.
Charming Oblonsky
As a boy, Ivan Kolesnikov starred in the children’s film “Oh, You Geese,” and as a teenager in the TV series “Chekhov and Co,” but his relationship with cinema became closer while studying at theater school . He became a recognizable actor after filming the TV series “Poor Nastya,” in which he played the role of Sergei Pisarev, one of the negative characters.
Having convinced directors and producers of his skills, Kolesnikov took part in such projects as “Don’t Forget”, “White Guard”, “For. His “romance” with the TV series “Wedding Ring” lasted for almost five years , in which the actor got the role of Malakhitov. Of the other roles played by Ivan Kolesnikov in films, film scholars single out the image of journalist Lentulov in the film “The End of a Beautiful Era.”
In 2020, the actor took part in the filming of the historical project “Sofia”. Then he was embodied in the image of Oblonsky in the series and film “Anna Karenina” and “Anna Karenina. The story of Vronsky."

Soon viewers will be able to see their favorite actor in “Three Seasons” and “Matryoshka” , which are still being filmed.
Students, the army and work in the theater
After receiving a school certificate, the guy submitted documents to VTU named after. Shchepkina. He managed to enter the university on the first try, without any cronyism. He took a course headed by V. Korshunov. In 2004, he received a diploma of completion from Sliver.
After that he was drafted into the army. And here he was lucky. Ivan Sergeevich Kolesnikov served in the troupe of the Russian Army Theater. Upon returning to civilian life, he continued his acting career. He got a job at the Mossovet Theater, where he still works.
All life is theater
During his school years, Ivan took part in the filming of one of the issues of the film magazine “Yeralash” and again felt an irresistible desire to become a professional actor. With a certificate of secondary education, the young man went to Shchukinka , where he entered even without exams - he was enrolled as a student after the second stage of the competition. The actor remembers his classes at the theater school with warmth, claiming that it was one of the most interesting periods in his life.
In his second year, Ivan Kolesnikov was offered the role of Petkun in the play “Eternity and Another Day,” which was played on the stage of the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater. The production was such a success with the audience that the young actor played in it until the end of his studies.
Having received his diploma, the actor went to fulfill his civic duty to his homeland. He did not have to wear a uniform or boots - he was called up to serve in the Russian Army Theater, on the stage of which he played several roles.
Returning to civilian life, Ivan Kolesnikov got a job at the Mossovet Theater, where he portrayed minor characters in such performances as One Night's Error and Cyrano de Bergerac.
Ivan Kolesnikov: films and TV series
In 1997, the young actor appeared in one of the episodes of the parable film “Full Moon Day”. Then he starred in the TV series “Chekhov and Co.” Vanya successfully got used to the image of the bartender's son.
After a 5-year break from work, Kolesnikov (junior) returned to the film industry. In the second season of the detective story "Sleuths" he got the role of Arthur.
Between 2003 and 2004. our hero participated in the filming of the series “Poor Nastya”. The actor played the role of Sergei Pisarev with undisguised pleasure. Although the image was negative. His colleagues on the site were Elena Korikova, Daniil Strakhov, Peter Krasilov and others.
Ivan Kolesnikov (actor) received his first leading role in 2005. We are talking about the war drama “Don't Forget”. His character is Ilya Borisov. Spectators and critics highly appreciated Ivan's acting.
In 2008, fans of serial melodramas enjoyed watching the film “The Wedding Ring.” Our hero got the role of Malakhitov. The series has gained enormous popularity among Russian viewers. Its filming lasted 4 years. A total of 809 episodes were shown.
In 2020, director S. Govorukhin presented his new creation to the audience - the drama “The End of a Beautiful Era.” The main male role in this film was played by Vanya Kolesnikov. His character is a young journalist and writer Andrei Lentulov. Svetlana Khodchenkova, Dmitry Astrakhan and Fedor Dobronravov were also involved in this project.
It is impossible not to note Kolesnikov’s work in the Ukrainian crime film “To see the rainbow, you need to survive the rain.” This time, the handsome and talented actor played the role of “safecracker” Anton Zabelin (nicknamed the Pianist).
Roles of Ivan Kolesnikov in films
Kolesnikov began acting in films very early, at the age of eight.
It was the film "Oh, you geese." At the age of fifteen, he appeared in the TV series “Chekhov and Co” in the role of the bartender’s son. The actor began acting constantly while studying at the Shchukin School. A major project for him was the television series “Poor Nastya.” The stars of this project were Elena Korikova, Daniil Strakhov, Pyotr Krasilov and others. It was on screens for almost two years. Ivan got the role of Sergei Pisarev. He played this role with great pleasure. Kolesnikov, like many other actors, is much more interested in creating negative images than playing positive characters. Pisarev became such a negative hero, who in the series was hunting for the main characters.
Actor Ivan Kolesnikov with his wife
Then there was work in the series “White Guard”, “Don’t Forget”, “Bodyguard”, “Eclipse”. In 2008, the television series “Wedding Ring” was released, in which Ivan also took part. His role is Malakhitov. The project was broadcast for four years.
His last works were filming in the short film “We Watched TV”, in the series “Kiss!” and "Three stars".
Personal life
Ivan Kolesnikov does not belong to the category of womanizers and ladies' men. From a young age, he dreamed of meeting a good girl and living with her until old age. It seems that his words were heard in the heavenly office.
In the second year of VTU named after. Shchepkina Vanya met a charming girl who is a year younger than him. Her name is Lina Ramauskaite. From the first minutes of communication, mutual sympathy arose between them. A month after they met, our hero proposed to his beloved. Lina agreed. After 3 months, the couple got married. Ivan's parents accepted their son's choice. Lina's father and mother also liked the young son-in-law.
The newlyweds had a hard time. They decided to become independent and independent from their parents. Ivan and Lina rented a separate apartment and set up their home together. Love and mutual understanding reigned in their relationship. But the finances of the young family “sang romances.” To pay for rented housing, purchase food, clothing and other goods, they had to earn extra money in their free time from school. During this period, Ivan Kolesnikov managed to master the professions of a bartender and waiter.
There was a time when the couple separated for a short time to take a break from each other. Because of this, their feelings did not fade away, but flared up with renewed vigor. The fruit of their great love was the birth of their common daughter in 2006. The parents chose a beautiful, but rare Russian name these days - Avdotya for the baby. At home the girl is called Dunya.
Ivan Kolesnikov’s wife, like him, successfully graduated from Shchepka. She could connect her fate with cinema. But the girl thought that one actor in the family was enough. Lina Kolesnikova found herself in a different field. She has been working as a costume designer for several years now.
Theater and film actor Ivan Kolesnikov: I am incredibly happy
Ivan Kolesnikov, photo Maria Dvoryankova Ivan graduated from the Higher Theater School named after M.S.
Shchepkin (course of V. Korshunov) in 2004. He was involved in performances of the Moscow Art Theater. Chekhov, worked at the theater. Mossovet. He received the Nika 2015 award in the Discovery of the Year category for his role as Lentulov in the film The End of a Beautiful Era by Stanislav Govorukhin. The film “Union of Salvation” will be released soon, where Ivan played Nicholas the First. The actor spoke to the Argumenty Nedeli correspondent about working on this role and his life priorities. After that I realized that I am an actor
I come from a creative family. He worked at the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater from the age of 12. The first performance was called “The New American” with Boris Shcherbakov, and dad played there, and I sang the song “blue nights flutter like fires, we are pioneers, children of workers...” that’s all I did there; then he played in the play “Boris Godunov,” where he appeared on stage with a wooden sword; and then, at the age of 14, he got the main role in the play “A Fistful of Cry.” I played the first act, at the end of the act I flew to America, and the second act was already played by Boris Shcherbakov. And he and I shared this performance for two. I had the first erotic scene in my life. Erotic dance with actress Alena Khovanskaya. She was wearing a white shirt, completely naked. I thought about what to do, every time I didn’t know what to do with myself. After that I realized that I was an actor.
I entered right away without exams, not because I was a criminal, but on the contrary, I went to the Moscow Art Theater School and the admissions committee told me: “Finally Kolesnikov has arrived” and I realized that there would be a biased attitude. I was told to become in the form of a tree and read a poem, I read it, and then they told me that I was generally mediocrity and would not get anywhere, but they let me through to the second round, but I decided that I would not go to the Moscow Art Theater and went to Shchepka, and after the first Korshunov took me on tour. And that's why I'm happy. Now I don’t work in the theater, I have an enterprise.

Theater is now at the lowest stage of evolution
Theater is more interesting than cinema, of course, but theater is now at the lowest stage of its evolution. If you take a theater that is stationary, then out of 10 performances in which you will perform, God willing, there will be one or two that you will like, and the rest do not carry a strong creative load. If you compare it with enterprises, then enterprise is such an action, as if it is considered to be the lowest level in the theater, but, firstly, now enterprises themselves are growing, they are no longer the same as in the 90s and 2000s , they pay more there, there you can reinforce yourself with the cast and don’t ask whether you can act in film or not, you just say that you are filming and a different cast is playing, much more freely. Previously, the theater was a home, now it cannot be called nepotism. Maybe Sovremennik and that’s it. And theater is bondage. I don’t have the right to give myself to the theater now, since I have responsibility (family, children). I don’t see the point in just going to the theater for some unknown reason.
At the first filming they put a medical thing on me
My first experience in cinema came on my graduation party. And I told the producer frankly that if you are filming this day, then you must understand that I will be in very bad condition, they said: “yes, everything is fine.” And I went to the shooting in such a state that I could not utter one phrase: “please give me the intercostal dilator quickly.”
As a result, they put a medical thing on me so that it would not be visible what I was saying, what text, and then during the voiceover we added this text.
It took a long time to film a war film with Olga Arntgolts in the title role. It was cool. After that there was complete calm. It seemed to me that I was on horseback, but that was not the case.
Series "Students". Then another break.
The series “Strawberry”, the series “Life is like life” and “Love is like love”. I raped a blind violinist and laughed homerically. The roles were different.
Then he worked as a lighting designer in cinema for a year. I had to work. There was nothing.
There was a role in the series “Redhead”. The role of a drug addict-musician. And then the same company took Marusya into the series.
Then there was calm again. I thought about going as a lighting designer again, but my dad said: “It’s impossible, since you’ve already starred in the leading role.” Parents helped.
America is not mine
I dream of a good role. Maybe, for example, the poet Shpalikov, with pleasure, but it also depends on who will film, who will be the screenwriter, etc. If this were an ideal project: director, screenwriter, etc., then I would want any role in this project.
America is not my thing. I do not know English. I can't even teach. Recently they called me to audition with Cumberbech. I taught, crammed, came to auditions and got a blank sheet. I have no cravings. But I would play the role of a mute in a non-Russian project.
If I wanted to act in America, I would probably teach. There is no such desire yet, since I am not yet an established artist here and I think that I can still do more here. Moreover, this is not the worst time for cinema.
History is a fragile thing
The uniqueness of the stories of English film studios in historical projects is that they take a character who exists or once existed and take his biographical facts, which we know, what happened to him from history, and they invent the rest of the biographical facts, because none of us doesn’t know who Peter the Great was, how he loved women and how he ate, how he laughed, how he cried and did he cry? This is not available anywhere. We have history, and history is a fragile thing, it is rewritten and the next generation knows a completely different story. Therefore, when playing Tsar Nicholas I, I first of all tried to endow him with human qualities. Nicholas was not a military man, he was a reformer. We have scenes with his wife and children, where he carries one of the nannies in his arms. We also came up with the director A. Kravchuk that my hero has a coin with his own image. And so he went through this entire story with this coin, the entire December uprising. It would seem that the coin is a trifle, but it is from such trifles that the image is formed.
I am a happy man
Family. The most important thing that can happen in life, with age this understanding of happiness comes in the best possible way, age does not mean years, age means your life problems (experience). There were some actions in my life that were wrong, for which I now worry. No, I don’t worry, but they always lie like baggage in my head and with these misdeeds of mine, I understand that there is nothing closer and dearer than family in life, not in the physical sense... of course, if you take away work, it will be difficult, you will have to look new and it’s hard, you’re used to one thing, you have to choose another. All the same, I, like many people, live in a world that I created for myself and it is light for me. Many people don't have what I have. I have money, mom, dad, children, everyone is healthy, everyone is alive and I don’t have any problems. All my problems are spitting and grinding and nothing more. But, nevertheless, it is difficult to come up with something closer to family. People get lost in adolescence, when everything has become boring and you want something new and you break out, and when you break out, you understand what you broke out and where you broke out. Without a family, I will get drunk or do something to myself or live like an ordinary person.
Ivan Kolesnikov with his family
I'm incredibly happy. Also because I am a positive person. I try to either keep all my problems to myself or turn them into a good side. Once I was recording the “I Want to Know” program, Shirvindt hosted and dad was the host. And I was one of those who traveled around the world and we told stories. And one day I came to Ethiopia and saw how people live there. And when we say that we live poorly in our villages in Russia, this is not true. That's where people live poorly. There's a plague there. Real. Not metaphorical, but real. There are 10% of the population without legs, without arms, because they drink rotten water, they get sick, children are born deformed and even they live happily in what they exist. And if they find the spiritual strength to rejoice, then we should be at the 80th level of happiness. As my grandmother Rosa said: “Everything will pass, so will this.” This is true. Everything is nonsense, except of course for global things, again related to family.
There is nothing better than your own example
My parents always raised me by example and this is the most effective way. There is nothing better than an example. The most important quality that a person should have is respect for another person. Of course, there are people you can besiege (rednecks who swear), I’m talking about respecting your surroundings.
The expression “treat others the way you would like to be treated” is very true. You have to become better for yourself and then you start to enjoy it. As a child, I knew that in order for me to go for a walk, I needed to wash the dishes or take out the trash, not because I wanted or didn’t want to, but so that my mother would be more supportive. It's simple. It's a small thing, but it works for your opponent. After some time, you get pleasure from it, because you realize that you are doing a banal small good deed for loved ones.
Coped with problems thanks to the wisdom of my wife
There are evil situations and evil people, you have to think at this moment why this is happening!? Is it good what you are doing now? Even if you do nothing for this, but you are surrounded by some kind of evil around you, then you need to think about something you are doing wrong. It can't just be like that. Nothing just happens! Therefore, when there were problems in my life, I dealt with it only thanks to my wife, her wisdom, and secondly, every day I tried to realize what I was doing wrong. And then I found what was wrong. In fact, everything in life is very simple. It's just hard to come to this. For example, I cannot demand love from someone, I can love and the person either yes or no. Either you accept it or you don't. And so it is in everything. You can abandon this person and go your own way and move on with your life and you will find a person with whom it will be mutual. Life is incredibly simple, we make it more complicated.
People used to go crazy about the role
First of all, I want to raise my girls well. And good grandchildren. And my profession. I hope so. Because at some point I decided that I had chosen the wrong profession. But somehow, after filming with S. Govorukhin, I thought that I probably got into this profession for a reason. Hope.
At some point in my life, I was drawn to a profession. I really wanted to be told: “you are a good actor”, for me this was very important, now it is not important for me, since I realized that there is no template: “good”, “bad”. If you try to please someone, you will simply lose yourself. I came to the conclusion that acting is a profession, not a way of life. This was before, when theater was born and people went crazy about the role. Now this is not necessary.
This scene took 12 hours to film
There was a scene in “Union of Salvation” where my brother dies and transfers the reigns to me, I start crying. This scene took 12 hours to film and I can’t say that I didn’t get used to this moment. I did the maximum that I can. I got used to the role. But I also quickly got out of there. I can be Nicholas the First and wash dishes at home. Because that's my job. This is not my life, this is work.
I cry and I’m not ashamed of it
I cry extremely rarely. I cry when I have no strength. From powerlessness. Not because the situation is hopeless, on the contrary, when there is no way out, I look for it; It happens when you don’t have the strength to explain something. The last time I cried was when Dunya (daughter) tried to explain that you can’t exploit your parents, especially your mother, and she didn’t understand me for 1.5 hours of conversation and before that there were still months of conversations and in the end, tears just flowed from powerlessness, from misunderstanding, from my It’s a nonentity that I can’t do anything, but something needs to be done. Well, the movie. Play any cartoon, Titanic, Romeo and Juliet for me and I will cry, I will cry with pleasure.
Wishes to the generation in 100 years
"Everything passes and this will pass". This is very important, because every time something critical happens in life, a moment of despair, when you are ready to do something bad, a moment when you don’t understand how to continue, know that it will pass! In any case, it will pass someday. You just need to have strength. And a new story begins, which will be 100% better than before; you don’t have to worry about what happened to you. Life consists of black and white stripes.

↑ Childhood
The father often took the boy with him to work, to the theater, or to television. The child was interested in everything, the boy was active and inquisitive. Even at that time, he decided for himself that he would really like to become an actor. Sasha is one of those few people who knew from childhood what they wanted to become. And everything worked out!
Vanya's family was creative and interesting. There were always guests at my parents' house. Vanya liked to pay attention to them, entertain them with funny competitions, games, and read poetry. Maria, Sasha’s mother, noticing the child’s creative inclinations, sent the boy to a theater studio.
