As a child, Marusya studied at the ballet studio at the Moscow Academy of Choreography, studied French, was interested in painting, went to the pool, and in the summer she also learned the wisdom of diving.
The girl received her first role when she was still a child. During the filming of the film “Papa,” Vladimir Mashkov needed a car. They asked Fomin, who was on the set, for a car. A cute girl with blonde pigtails was sitting in the car and waiting for her dad to finish his work day. Seeing such an angel, the director immediately invited her to play in the episode.
Biography
The young talented actress Maria Fomina is a Muscovite. She grew up in the family of art director Alexander Fomin and housewife Irina Marchenko. The girl talks about her origin: “My mother’s last name is Marchenko. And for some time I also had this surname. I like her, maybe I'll return her. I have no Ukrainian roots, my roots are Polish.” Masha has a younger brother Vasily. He is in middle school and, according to his sister, is still indifferent to cinema and theater.
As a child, the future actress was fond of diving, attended yoga and step dance classes, and seriously studied ballet. She later recalled: “The plans included ballet. I dreamed that I would be a mermaid. I will have a horse, and we will save this dusty world from melancholy. Or rather, I dreamed that I would be a mermaid ballerina. Although I hated ballet school, it simply justified my stupid position - with a tail and on a horse.”
In 2004, on the advice of her father, Masha took part in auditions for the film “Papa” by Vladimir Mashkov. Successful casting guaranteed the girl a cameo role in the film. After filming, there was no doubt that she should definitely become an actress. The first step towards realizing my cherished dream was a visit to Irina Feofanova’s Theater Studio, where Igor Yatsko worked with future artists. Then Maria entered the preparatory courses at the Moscow Art Theater School - she studied with wonderful teachers Sergei Zemtsov and Vladimir Sazhin.
In her free time, Fomina worked as a model, which was also an important experience for her to be on camera. “I came to a modeling agency when I was 15 years old. I just wanted to know what it was. I had shoots for magazines and commercials. There were even screenings. It's interesting, even fun. But it's not mine. The soul gets bored there, but sometimes it’s possible,” the girl shares.
In 2010, Maria successfully passed the exams at the Russian Academy of Theater Arts, where she studied for four years in the workshop of Oleg Kudryashov.
First roles
The actor did not gain fame thanks to his theatrical roles. What TV series and films did Roman Fomin appear in by the age of 32? The young man first came to the set in 2008. He played a small role in the television project “Galina”. Next, Roman embodied the image of a waiter in “My Favorite Witch” and played a district police officer in “I’m Going Out to Look for You.” An episodic role went to the aspiring actor in the 16th season of the series “Soldiers,” which tells about everyday life in the army.
In 2010, the series “Marusya” was presented to the audience, in which Fomin embodied the image of Artem. The melodrama tells the story of the difficult fate of a young beauty who works in the vineyards of the wine king. Next, Roman played a small role in the feature film “The Master”.
Theater
After graduating from GITIS, the actress joined the Theater of Nations. She took part in Timofey Kulyabin’s play “#SonetyShakespeare,” which in 2014 won the “Golden Mask” and “Moskovsky Komsomolets” awards. She also played Isa in Witold Gombrowicz’s play “Yvonne, Princess of Burgundy,” directed by Grzegorz Jarzyna.
The artist successfully collaborated with other Moscow theaters. The most famous among them are Lenkom and the Moscow Art Theater. A.P. Chekhov.
However, she does not forget about the team that gave her a start in life and says with gratitude: “I continue to play in some performances in Irina Feofanova’s studio. They are staged by Igor Yatsko, a Russian theater and film actor, theater director, Honored Artist of Russia and artistic director of the School of Dramatic Art. “I am very grateful to this man for his important words, correct comments and priceless explanations.”

From obscurity to fame
Roman Fomin’s first serious achievement was his participation in the TV series “Spouses”. In the first season of this television project, he created the image of intern Matvey Levushkin. The actor’s hero also appeared in the second season, where he was “promoted” to lieutenant.
Fomin felt the taste of real fame thanks to the sensational series “The Eighties”. His hero was the awkward, but charming Boris Levitsky. The tall and stooped student, wearing unfashionable glasses with thick lenses, won the hearts of thousands of viewers. His strange hobbies and habits also helped make this character memorable. Many critics noted Roman's significant contribution to the popularity of the Eighties series.
Cinema
After a cameo role in the film “Papa,” with which the actress made her debut, Maria began to be invited to films. She took part in the melodrama “Ferris Wheel” by Vera Glagoleva, starred in the youth sitcom “Her Team,” and played Anyuta in her youth in the popular series “Circus Princess” with Valeria Lanskaya and Prokhor Dubravin.
“Potapov, come to the board!”
In 2007, Maria played a prominent role in Alexander Orlov’s film “Potapov, to the board!” This is a story about modern schoolchildren, inseparable friendship, first unrequited love, endless fantasy and mind-blowing adventures. The main character Zhenya (Alexander Oleynikov) wants to win the sympathy of Lena Sinitsyna (Maria Fomina), the most beautiful girl in the school, at all costs. The boy begins to look for the key to her heart, involving both friends and teachers in this matter.
The film is based on the collection of stories of the same name by Tamara Kryukova. This book is very popular among young Russians.
The creators of the film claim that this is the first large-scale film project for children and teenagers since “The Adventures of Electronics” and “Guest from the Future.” The current generation demands to be spoken to in a different language, and in the film “Potapov, to the blackboard!” you can find exactly the same atmosphere of modern Russian companies, schools, streets. What’s interesting is that the children themselves participated in creating dialogues, choosing music, costumes, and makeup.
Maria Fomina: “The audition for the role of Lena Sinitsyna took a long time, it was interesting. There was a huge casting. And this, by the way, is my first serious shooting. They took place in Kolomna, I came home only on weekends, and sometimes stayed there. We had a very good crew and guys that I worked with on set. We’re still friends with some of them to this day.”
For this role, the actress received a diploma at the XV International Children's Film Festival "Kinogrom".
Then the artist appeared in the film “Twice in the Same River” by Alexei Muradov, the TV series “Daddy’s Daughters”, Dirty Work”, “Wild” and “Lawyers”.
"Day of Despair"
In the crime film “Day of Despair” by Vladimir Chubrikov, the actress played schoolgirl Lisa, the daughter of the main characters: investigator Valery (Sergey Karyakin) and businesswoman Alla (Natalia Grebenkina).
Plot: The family’s life proceeds smoothly and predictably until bandits break into their house demanding the release of their leader, whose business is being led by Valery.
In one of the interviews, the artist spoke about working in the film: “I got there again through casting. There were several tests. And then filming began. They filmed it at the end of summer outside the city, in a corn field, in the forest; beautiful, crazy, fun. I’m lucky with the director, I can hear him. There is definitely something in common with my heroine. All these whims and rigidity.”
Maria also managed to take part in the rating project “The Personal Life of Investigator Savelyev” by Sergei Krutin. In the crime series about a real professional detective, she starred in an episode - she played a farmer's daughter. The main roles were cast by: Dmitry Maryanov, Nonna Grishaeva, Lyubov Tolkalina, Yuri Belyaev, Ada Rogovtseva, Mikhail Zhigalov.
"Possession 18"
In a new genre for herself - a horror film - the actress played Svetlana. Her character's husband Maxim was played by Dmitry Endaltsev. The film by Svyatoslav Podgaevsky is about a young couple who moved from a tiny communal apartment to their own spacious apartment.
They would be happy, but soon after the housewarming they begin to realize that something is wrong with the new house. Strange neighbors with whom the newlyweds cannot talk. A watchman, more like a guard in a concentration camp. Nightmarish dreams and visions that are not at all like imagination. But the worst thing is the ghost guests who visit them after moving in and tell them about what terrible deaths all the previous residents of the house died.
In 2020, Maria played in three films at once: “Adult Daughters” by Andrei Eshpai, “The Red Queen” by Alena Rainer, “The Queen of Spades: The Black Rite” by Svyatoslav Podgaevsky.
"What are the French talking about"
In Vladimir Shevelkov’s fantastic tragicomedy “What the French Are Talking About,” the actress was invited to play the main role. In the film, her heroine is a powerful woman-temptress. According to Maria, she lacks the ability to seduce, so it was difficult for the director to work with her.
The film is based on the novel of the same name by Vladimir Kornev. Its action takes place in St. Petersburg during the most romantic time - the period of white nights, when miracles begin to happen in the city.
The film stars Kirill Varaksa, Maria Valeshnaya, Sergei Migitsko, Ilya Noskov, Andrey Fedortsov and other artists.
"Bad Joke"
Maria played one of the leading roles in Sergei Shvydkoy’s melodrama “A Cruel Joke,” which premiered in 2020 on the Rossiya TV channel. The artist's ensemble consisted of: Diana Pozharskaya, Evgeny Shirikov, Ilya Korobko, Daria Ekamasova.
The plot of the film: Katya Levashova (Diana Pozharskaya), a simple village girl, sees off her fiancé Yura (Evgeny Shirikov) to the army and is going to enter the pedagogical institute. Katya is determined to get an education and is ready for the difficulties of life on the “mainland”. But she finds herself defenseless against meanness. Classmates stage a cynical prank, disgracing Katya throughout the institute. The heroine's dreams are shattered overnight, and she is forced to start a new life.
One of the artist’s latest works is the main role in Yavor Gyrdev’s dystopia “Ikaria.” In total, Maria Fomina played in more than twenty films, and every year her filmography is constantly growing.
Personal life
Maria is not married, but her heart is busy. She is dating one of the most eligible bachelors of the Russian theater elite, Pavel Tabakov, the son of famous actors Oleg Tabakov and Marina Zudina.
The young people have known each other for a long time; they play together in theater and cinema. In 2015, the couple legalized their relationship by appearing at the GQ Man of the Year awards ceremony, and were immediately recognized as one of the most beautiful in Russian cinema.
Maria says about her chosen one: “I always immediately see what can be expected from a person. And in this case, everything was clear from the very beginning. I have no disappointments. Every day I am convinced that I am comfortable with Pasha. There is no jealousy between us, I can calmly say that today I will go somewhere with friends. It so happens that I have many male friends. Pasha never asks: who is this, and what does he do? He is confident in himself and in me, and I really appreciate that. Pasha and I are on the same wavelength. This is the first young man with whom I have lived long enough, and his presence does not infuriate me. Although, in general, I like to be alone.”
When asked if the actress is going to get married in the near future, she answers: “I have many friends who got married at the age of 20. And here they sit: a house, a TV, a hypermarket, an ice rink... Of course, I don’t blame anyone, but I don’t want this for myself. While you are young, you can have so many interests, you can develop so many things in yourself!”
Two bright creative people exist quite harmoniously together on stage and at home, enjoying each other’s successes. “I believe that everyone has their own path and destiny,” emphasizes Masha. “What is given to you is not given to anyone else.” Therefore, you need to live your life. And envy is stupid. Moreover, envy of a loved one. After all, it’s cool if your boyfriend (girlfriend) is successful in something. We should be proud."
Popular actors
Maria Fomina is an actress who, it seems to me, will definitely become mega popular, because she has everything for this. She is very beautiful and talented, she can play a variety of heroines. Although, most likely, these will not be simpletons, but wonderful women. There is a clear shortage of such girls in modern Russian cinema, because the previous generation - those whose age is approaching forty - filled the entire space, but they only have five more years left to play the main beauties, but what then? No worthy replacement has grown for them. Unfortunately. But Maria Fomina is just the kind of actress that directors need to grab and drag into their films. And who are these people who will soon have to play the mothers of the main characters? These are Ekaterina Klimova, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Maria Kulikova, Elena Podkaminskaya, Natalya Rudova...
I recently watched the first two episodes of the series “Kept Women.” I was impressed. I already have articles about four actresses from this series, but I haven’t written about Maria Fomina yet. The time has come, I found all the best photos from this artist on the Internet, so I am glad to see you.
But first, a few words about the Kept Women series.
35 photos of director Konstantin Bogomolov - the new husband of Ksenia Sobchak
It was directed by Daria Moroz's ex-husband, the now fashionable director Konstantin Bogomolov.
Ksenia Sobchak: 72 best, photos from photo shoots over the years
The same one to whom Ksenia Sobchak left Maxim Vitogran. Moscow theatergoers put this guy on a pedestal - declaring him a subtle genius of our time, sensitive to the intellectual audience. I don’t know how unique he is, this Konstantin Bogomolov, but he made a good series, I would even compare it with the series “Betrayals” by Vadim Perelman with Elena Lyadova in the title role. By the way, this is Konstantin Bogomolov’s debut as a film director; previously there were only theatrical productions.
So, Maria Fomina in this serial film plays one of the kept women: this beautiful, educated girl who takes care of her appearance meets with a not very attractive, slightly battered, married wealthy man (the worn-out one is played by Sergei Burunov). He loves her, in his dreams he has already broken up with his wife, but in reality he cannot leave his wife - because then he will literally be left without pants, since it was her father who gave him this whole sweet life by hiring him. The heroine of Maria Fomina does not cover herself in the frame, she very selflessly engages cough-cough with her lover, not with the one played by Sergei Burunov, but with a friend who is more fit and physically active. At the end of the first episode or at the beginning of the second, I don’t remember, this kept woman is found dead. It is not clear who killed her; the rest of the episodes will be devoted to the investigation of the case. And what a bummer! I was going to admire Maria Fomina in the frame for some more episodes - and, you see, she was killed! The most beautiful and a bullet to the temple!
I was familiar with the name of this actress before, and all because she dated Pavel Tabakov, a little pie who was three years younger than her, for about a year. When they started living together, she was 22 years old and he was 19 years old. In fact, this may have been Pavel Tabakov's first serious relationship. The couple stayed together for only a year.
We broke up for some unknown reason. Although then, a year later, Pavlusha gave an interview and really talked about the fact that girls were using him, and this fact depresses him very much. I hope that he did not mean Marusya Fomina.

In addition, Pavel Tabakov would like his wife to be very well-groomed, have time to take care of the house, cook well, love him, scratch him behind the ear, while she should be self-sufficient, develop, become established in the profession, be independent, but submissive - family should come first for her. Probably, his life partner should be like his mother Marina Zudina - she really went out of her way to be the ideal woman for Oleg Tabakov.
Well, after breaking up with Pavel Tabakov, Maria Fomina did not grieve for long, and after only a year and a half she married someone else and gave birth to a daughter, Anna, from him.
Maria Fomina’s new chosen one is Alexey Kiselev, this guy is 11 years older than his wife, this is already his third marriage, which means that this man is an experienced person in family matters. It is possible that he has already made some conclusions from previous marriages and this time he will try to maintain his relationship with the popular and very beautiful Maria Fomina.
By the way, Alexey Kiselev is not some guy from the street - he is the son of the famous journalist Evgeny Kiselev. But Maria Fomina herself is not from a poor family, this can be judged at least by the fact that the girl has been learning English since the age of four, knows it perfectly, and her dad is a certain art director.
Maria Fomina loves feasts with many guests. She prefers to buy everything for herself, even flowers, and does not want to depend on anyone - or, at least, she wants to create such an appearance.
And she worked at the Moscow Art Theater even before she began dating Pavel Tabakov, and this girl was extremely infuriated by the fact that her name was lumped together with the name of the son of the famous cat Matroskin. Maria Fomina strives for independence, she does not want to cling to men's pants, she has her own interesting path of development. This girl loves to be alone, she is not one of those young ladies who smothers her boyfriend with excessive love.
She was spoiled by her parents; they could bring her a pill for headaches on the other side of town at six in the morning. Maria Fomina, naturally, expects the same from her boyfriend. In a relationship, what is important to her is not gifts, but attention and care.
Alexey Kislelev adores his wife, he is incredibly proud of her, this can be judged by how often he posts her photos on Instagram.
And although Alexei Kiselyov has an adult son from a previous relationship, he is still a boy at heart.
Alexey Kiselyov met his first wife, Maya Tarkhan-Mouravi, while still at school. This marriage lasted 13 years; after the divorce, the son remained with his father.
The marriage with Ida Lolo lasted only a year and a half. This madam looks like Renee Zellweger, which is why she is very popular among moneybags. In general, they say that this aunt is a money hunter; she was not previously interested in a strong and lasting union for many years.

Interview
About Me
“I listen to completely different music. Every time I discover something new for myself. Within reason, as a rule. My passion is self-improvement.”
“I'm indifferent to TV shows. Indifferent, both as a spectator and as a participant. I don't see anything good or bad in this. It’s just not my thing.”
“I love my friends very much and always organize evenings with wine and music at our house. It seems to me that deep down I am a Georgian man. Friends and feasts are my element.”
Pavel Tabakov about the actress
“Masha is very sincere - this is a rare quality for actors. She says what she thinks and is not afraid to offend by telling the truth. She has no desire to maintain good relations with everyone. And it's catchy. Therefore, we choose a certain circle of people, our company. She is also very kind, she has a good sense of humor, which, by the way, I don’t have. But I have a developed sense of self-irony.”
About a dream
“I want to act with my favorite directors - Andrei Zvyagintsev and Jim Jarmusch. And then learn to be a director yourself - try your hand at the other side of the camera.”
