"Father Frost" - a military series based on real events

Biography

Evgeny Morozov was born in one of the largest cities on the Crimean Peninsula. Zhenya grew up in an ordinary family, and never dreamed of becoming an artist. During his school years, he was interested in reading books, rock climbing, played for the local football team, and participated in KVN. The future artist began acting in high school, trying to attract the attention of the girl he liked.

“To begin with, I became a jester. In high school, my height was maximum 160. And I was in love with Ksyusha Rubanenko... Lord, I remembered my last name! She was 20 centimeters taller than me. And how do you think I could get her attention? He started joking and pretending. I was so in love that I became the best at it. And about a month before the final exams, a literature teacher came up to me, handed me a piece of paper with the address and said: “You are an artist! Go to drama school." I took the piece of paper, went to the address and did it faster than I could decide whether I needed it or not,” recalls Evgeniy. Having received his matriculation certificate, Morozov applied to the theater school. He successfully passed all the competitions, but studied without much enthusiasm. Then the young man decided to move to the capital. There he entered the acting department of VGIK. In 2010 I became a graduate of the course taught by teacher Igor Yasulovich.

Actor Morozov corresponded with his wife before committing suicide

The wife of the RAMT artist who committed suicide, Diana Morozova, said that she and her husband were going to file for divorce. In addition, they planned to hold a joint meeting with a notary, at which issues of division of property, as well as the fate of their four-year-old son, were to be discussed. Stepan and Diana broke up shortly before the New Year, but did not have time to officially divorce. Today it became known about the death of the artist: his body was found under the windows of the house on Pererva Street, where the man lived. According to preliminary data, Morozov jumped out of the window.

— On May 7 we had a joint performance, then we saw each other for the last time. After that, we corresponded and talked on the phone. We weren’t officially divorced, but we were going to separate - a lawyer was appointed on Monday,” said the actor’s wife Diana Morozova.

As LifeNews learned, the RAMT actor corresponded with his wife several hours before his suicide. The dialogue was mainly about the little son.

“He told me at the dacha: “Dad will come and pick me up by train.” Apparently, you promised him... The main thing is not to swear at us and love our son... You weren’t going to come to us... - Diana writes to her husband.

“I promised and I’ll take him... Unfortunately, you don’t need him... I’ll take him from you... We will live with him in Moscow... I’ll think about it when I do it... Kiss him for me and remind him that he has a natural father...” replies Morozov to his wife.

In the message, the actor asks his wife to come to the theater with their son, but she replies that she won’t make it in time. From the correspondence it becomes clear that the RAMT artist loves his son and wants to be with him, but from his wife’s answers it follows that Morozov did not find time for the child.

“We joked and joked in correspondence, but nothing foreshadowed trouble. I couldn't imagine that he would throw himself out. He loved his child very much, he has a shaken psyche, like any artist, but he is not suicidal,” Diana commented on the correspondence with her husband.

As LifeNews reported, law enforcement officials are establishing the circumstances of the death of Stepan Morozov, known for his roles in a number of theatrical productions and TV series. According to preliminary data, a 38-year-old man jumped out of the window of his apartment in Moscow.

According to one version, the RAMT artist could commit suicide due to an upcoming divorce from his wife. The actor had an extremely difficult time with the changes in his life. In addition, the RAMT artist began to experience depression, from which he could not find a way out.

The theater also noted that the actor worked fruitfully and was involved in leading roles in many performances. On the last day he rehearsed until late and left the theater only at 19:00. The performance was scheduled for May 14, but for natural reasons it will be cancelled.

— I saw him yesterday at the rehearsal, everything was fine. He was very busy in the theater, for no apparent reason. People in the theater knew about his separation from his wife, but he showed no outward signs of distress. On the contrary, he released the premiere performance. There were a lot of leading serious roles, everything was good. His wife works in the theater, they have a child together. They even played in the same performances, but I can’t say that any tension was noticed between them. Their child is small,” said RAMT director Sofya Apfelbaum.

In 1998, Stepan Morozov graduated from the Chelyabinsk Academy of Arts. In the same year and until 2001, he worked at the Chelyabinsk Drama Theater. In 2001, the young man went to work at RAMT. Stepan Morozov starred in the films “Silver Lily of the Valley”, “Ivan the Terrible”, “Pop” and the TV series “Kamenskaya-2”.

This is a very exciting process that is addictive. For a year and a half I wrote an eight-part story about a father and son. To be honest, this is my story. First of all, I wanted to sort out my relationships myself. And it helped me,” says Evgeniy.

Interview

About Vipassana meditation

“I actually took a ten-day Vipassana meditation course in the Moscow region. In complete silence. At registration we were divided into men and women. We lived in different parts of the center, men had their own territory, women had theirs. Any contacts were prohibited. At the entrance we handed over all the gadgets. It was forbidden to smoke, drink alcohol, read, write, or communicate with each other. We went to bed at 9:30 pm and got up with the gong at 4 am. Our whole day consisted of ten hours of meditation with short breaks. We ate only vegetarian food. And so on for ten hours. These are not some kind of religious meditations. This is essentially a deep breathing technique. No mysticism or brainwashing. You just learn to breathe again. And it's incredibly difficult. The whole body turns inside out. But all they ask is to sit quietly and breathe. Some could not stand it and interrupted the course. We were leaving the camp. But I repeat, all you need is to breathe calmly and listen to yourself. For so many years I avoided meeting the main person in my life... I kept coming up with excuses so as not to meet his gaze. Didn't pick up the phone and didn't call back. The main person in my life is myself. That’s why I pushed myself into such conditions when I had no choice but to raise my head, look myself in the eyes and say: “Hello, man! I've been told so much about you."

About your character

“Perhaps I am often too sincere. And I suffer from this. But I don’t want and can’t lie to myself... As I just said: tell the truth. And also make you laugh. This is what I'm getting at. But the worst thing I can do is assent. I cannot reciprocate the bad play of others. I have had cases when I did not play by the rules of my interlocutor, and as a result I was deprived of some benefits, for example, roles. Although if at that moment he had looked interested and agreed, probably everything would have been different. But this is not my case."

About everyday life

“Once I read Exupery’s phrase: “He died at 18, was buried at 80.” This saying really resonated with me. And I began to try to live in such a way as not to live up to this phrase. Our brain is always either in the past or in the future. But the main task is to live in the present and calmly respect everything that happens around. It is also important to understand that there is no permanence in the world. Nature is always on the move.”

About Moscow

“I came from Crimea and have been living in Moscow for 11 years. It was difficult at the very beginning. Then I blamed the city, the people...whatever. But now I understand that it was all about me. For the last year and a half I have loved Moscow. Khamovniki, Patriarch's Ponds are my favorite areas. Patrick's is a bit like London. And I'm crazy about London... My native language is Russian. I think in Russian, speak Russian, dream in Russian. And Moscow in this sense is a place of power for the Russian-speaking people. So I’ll stay here for now.” Based on materials from the sites: kino-teatr.ru, wday.ru, gorabbit.ru, stuki-druki.com.

Career

After graduating from high school, Oleg already clearly knew where he wanted to go. His choice fell on the Sobinov Saratov Conservatory, Faculty of Theater Arts (specialization - theater and film actor). After receiving his diploma in 1997, the young actor was invited to join the troupe of the Saratov Drama Theater.

Morozov quickly won the love of local theatergoers , and productions with his participation enjoyed unprecedented popularity. Having performed the main male role in the comedy play “Living Portrait”, the actor received an award from the regional Ministry of Culture. Then Oleg decided that he could achieve more and left to conquer Moscow.

There was no need to sit idle in the capital for long. Morozov was immediately invited to work. He collaborated with such Moscow stages as the theater “On Pokrovka”, “Modern”, and the Lyudmila Gurchenko Theater Center. Oleg took an active part in numerous enterprises. This was followed by offers to appear in films and TV series.

The actor’s film debut was the film “My Border ,” where Morozov played Sergeant Karpov excellently. This was followed by a supporting role in the serial drama “Bayazet”, where the actor played Staff Captain Nekrasov. Then the actor played minor roles in the television projects “Gemini”, “Doomed to Become a Star”, “Deal”, “Jackpot for Cinderella”.

Oleg Morozov gained recognition from colleagues and directors thanks to his excellent performance on the set. He can easily play the role of a meticulous and persistent detective, as he did in the Kamenskaya series. Or maybe it’s just as plausible to transform into the charming scoundrel Garik from the movie “The Golden Trap”. The actor also demonstrated excellent skills in the film “Death of a Spy,” where he played the saboteur and criminal Kuzmenkov.

Morozov’s first major role was the character of restaurateur Arthur in the TV series “Stepmother”.

At that time, the actor was already 32 years old. This was followed by a role in the cult serial action film “Wanted.” Then the actor played a lawyer in the television project “Hostages of Love.”

Despite the fact that his main films are multi-part projects, the actor is very passionate about his profession and always works with full dedication. One has only to remember the image of the French general from the series “The Beauharnais Effect”. He already has more than 50 works in various genre film projects:

  • "Scouts"
  • "Rust",
  • "Kill the Blackbird"
  • My father's son
  • "Orlova and Alexander"
  • "Cossacks"
  • Sleepers and others.

Currently, three films with Oleg’s participation are in production: “Better than People”, “Moses Kolya” and “Practice. Second Season”.
