They have been married for more than 45 years, but still maintain a loving, warm, trusting relationship. Their meeting took place in 1971 on board an airplane. The actress and director were flying to a film festival in Serbia. Feelings immediately flared up between them, despite the huge difference in age: Natalya Nikolaevna was 20 years old at that time, and Vladimir Naumovich was 44 years old.

In 1974, the couple legalized their relationship, and three years later their daughter Natalya was born. The daughter followed in the footsteps of her famous mother and also starred in films.

Fate

Recalling the first meeting, Naumov jokes that he managed to meet his future wife the third time. Vladimir claims that when Natalya was born, he passed by the maternity hospital, heading to the Ministry of Culture. The second time, at the Stockholm embassy, where Natalya’s father worked, a fleeting vision with a huge scythe flew past a man. This was his future wife. Natalya recalls that she only paid attention to Vladimir when he took the seat next to her on the plane.

This fateful meeting took place in 1971. The director and actress flew to Belgrade to represent the country at a festival dedicated to Russian cinema. An interesting man, sitting next door, entertained the girl with a sea battle. They immediately liked each other. Later, Vladimir Naumovich will say that Natalya is the most vivid memory of her trip to Serbia, and the girl will remember the strange director who nervously fidgeted with his cigarettes throughout the flight.

Fateful meeting in an orphanage

Natalya Belokhvostikova took an active part in charity events and often visited orphanages. In one orphanage, Natalya met a three-year-old boy, Kirill. He approached the artist and asked her to give him a cross. Natalya Nikolaevna became very attached to this child. In 2007, Belokhvostikova and Naumov decided to adopt a boy.

The press attacked the director and actress. Evil tongues said that they were just promoting themselves, but in fact they did not need a child.

Many were indignant and pointed out that they were acting irresponsibly, because it was too late for their middle-aged couple to think about adoption. At that time, Natalya was 56 years old, and her husband was already 80.

Natalya with her husband and her son Kirill

Belokhvostikova responded sharply and categorically to all attacks: “the decision has been made.”

In order to protect themselves and the boy from annoying critics, the parents did not try to advertise their family life.

Whole family to gather

Adult son

If at first the star parents hid the boy, today they increasingly appear with him in public, which is not at all surprising. Kirill grew up and became a real support and pride of the family.

Just the other day, information appeared that the son of Belokhvostikova and Naumov was recently injured. He tried to climb through the window to help his friend open the jammed lock, but fell from the porch canopy onto the lawn. Doctors discovered a fracture of the jaw and base of the skull. Natalya claims that everything is fine with her son.

So, having made a serious decision 13 years ago, the parents took the baby into the family and raised a guy who could come to the aid of those in need. Natalya says that she never regretted her action. The boy brought him and his husband many happy moments. Despite his advanced age, the couple hopes to be with their son for a long time.

After all, he is still so young and needs wise advice from adults. And Kirill promises not to upset his parents and to be a reliable support for them in old age.

How does Kirill live today?

The boy grows up to be an independent person. He helps his parents: he cleans, cooks food well.

Kirill is 16 years old and is in 10th grade and is dating a girl.

Natalya Belokhvostikova told how she decided to adopt a child at the age of 55

68-year-old actress Natalya Belokhvostikova and 92-year-old director Vladimir Naumov met in the early 1970s, when both flew to Yugoslavia to present Soviet cinema. In 1974, the couple married, and a year and a half later their daughter Natalya was born. In 2007, as part of the “Me and Family” charity festival, the actress visited orphanages. On one of these visits, the star of the film “Tehran 43,” which Naumov directed, met three-year-old Kirill. The actress spoke about this incident, which changed the fate of the little orphan, in the next episode of Boris Korchevnikov’s program “The Fate of a Man.”

“A boy came up to me and said: “Auntie, please buy me a cross.” I tell him: “Maybe I should bring you something tasty or toys?” But he said: “No, cross. Because everyone has it, but I don’t,” Belokhvostikova shared.

The Naumov-Belokhvostikov family

The boy’s request struck the actress so much that she returned four days later to give the baby a gift, and then took Kirill into the family altogether. “People who have been in orphanages understand what kind of stress it is. Because you want to take everyone, and everyone asks you for it. This is a very difficult story. But this one didn’t want anything. He went into his emptiness, unhappiness... And we realized that it was impossible for him to stay there any longer,” the actress explained her desire to take the child.

In order not to traumatize the psyche of their adopted son, the couple hid the fact of adoption for a long time. But when Kirill grew up, his parents made the necessary confession. The young man, who will be 17 this year, is interested in foreign languages and mathematics. Kirill’s dad, despite his age, plays football with his son and attends exhibitions. “Dad is very energetic,” said 16-year-old Naumov-Belokhvostikov, who still keeps the gift given to him in 2007.

Kirill and his father Vladimir Naumov

Perhaps it was the cross that saved Kirill’s life when he inadvertently fell from a second-floor window in October 2020. The boy was hospitalized with a closed head injury and a broken jaw bone. Belokhvostikova took the incident calmly. “My son just fell, he’s fine, he’s already chatting. Everything happens. When he was four years old, he fell and broke his leg. And in adolescence, such injuries are even more possible,” the Soviet cinema star reassured journalists.

The Naumov family carefully protects their personal life and tries not to advertise what is happening. Last October, Kirill’s adoptive mother turned to doctors for help, complaining of heart rhythm disturbances. Journalists learned about this only after the actress underwent heart surgery in one of the Moscow clinics. Vladimir Naumov refused to comment on his wife’s condition, which doctors assessed as serious, in order to avoid unnecessary rumors, as the film director admitted.

Their acquaintance took place on a plane that was flying from Moscow Sheremetyevo airport to Belgrade. Natalya immediately drew attention to the man who was trying with all his might not to smoke. When they brought him cigarettes, he broke them, sniffed the tobacco, and nervously shook it off his trousers.

It was later during their conversation that it turned out that Naumov was fighting a bad habit in this way and did not smoke for two weeks. And Vladimir noticed Natalya only upon arrival in Yugoslavia, after he saw the film in which she starred. From that moment their communication began, which ended with the official registration of documents at the registry office.

In 1977 they became the parents of their daughter Natalya. The girl continued the family dynasty, and did not offend anyone - she is an actress, like Belokhvostikova, and a director, like Naumov.

In 2007, the family added another member - son Kirill. They decided to adopt a three-year-old boy from an orphanage. The actress calls the meeting with this boy fateful. Once Natalya and Vladimir, together with other actors, participants in the “Me and Family” festival, visited an orphanage, where a boy approached her and asked her to give her a cross. The actress was struck by the fact that he did not try to present himself in the best light, did not begin to boast or ask for anything. But this request for a cross touched her to the depths of her soul. They decided to adopt, and the boy admitted years later that he had always wanted a family and asked God about it every day.

Belokhvostikova considers family to be the greatest value for a woman. She just needs to be surrounded by her family and friends, feel their care and attention, and give them the same in return. Natalya does not like social events and therefore does not often spoil her fans with appearances. She does not have a social media account, and photos of her and her family are rarely found.

Natalya Belokhvostikova now

Natalya almost never acts in films now; all her attention and energy are given to the youngest member of the family - her son Kirill. The boy has already made his film debut, starring in his adoptive father’s film “The Tale of Tsar Saltan,” where he played a cabin boy. Natalya in this project got the role of matchmaker Barbarikha.

In 2017, Natalya Belokhvostikova was awarded a prize established by the Moscow City Hall for her active participation in the lives of orphans. Exactly the same award was presented to Sergei Semak, head coach of the Ufa football team, Olga Allenova, journalist, and Roman Avdeev, president of MBK Capital Management Company.
