Exciting movie plots with Semyon Treskunov

Biography

Semyon Treskunov's parents have nothing to do with cinema. Mom works as a regional representative for a children's magazine. Dad works in transfer graphics and has his own company.

At school, the boy constantly participated in creative competitions and was also fond of swimming. His parents played a big role in choosing his life path and in the success he achieved.

“For me, dad is generally the most important figure in my life, because I was raised by my dad for a very long time during my childhood. And he taught me all the upbringing lessons I needed, and he’s just great,” says Semyon about his father.

But my mother had no less influence. “It's a funny story. My mother is not an actress, but she always dreamed of acting, at least in advertising. So she went to auditions and somehow took me and my younger brother with her. I was ten then. We really liked the process itself, and we also started going to auditions.

One day I was lucky: I passed the casting for a role in an MTS advertisement, and I was invited to a meeting with an American director. That day I had a temperature of 39-something, I might not have gone. But still I decided to lower my temperature and go. It was a turning point - no one knows how everything would have turned out if I had stayed at home that day...

And when the advertisement came out, they called me and invited me to one film, then another. I started acting and went crazy with happiness: I realized that this is exactly what I wanted to do. My parents supported me. Then my sister was born, and my mother stopped going to castings. It turns out that my mother’s passion led me to the acting profession,” notes the artist.

The childhood and teenage years of Semyon Treskunov

"Good Boy" was born on November 14, 1999. Semyon's hometown is Moscow. His mother Marina, a recognized beauty, is engaged in the publishing business. She works as a regional representative for children's magazine Owl Magazine, organizing various shoots. Alexey, the father of the young talent, works in the advertising business. He creates transfer graphics. Three children are being raised in a friendly family. Two boys: Semyon and Yakov. And a girl named Sofia. Marina's long-time dream was to become a model. She dreamed of the podium. As a last resort, I wanted to act in advertising. And when Semyon and Yakov grew up, their mother began to take them with her to various castings and auditions. She even managed to get a cameo role in the film “Heat.”

At the next audition for MTS, luck smiled on one of the brothers. A company representative drew attention to the elder Semyon. And despite the fact that the boy had a cold, he was offered a role in a commercial. Semyon, not paying attention to his condition, coped with the task perfectly. The entire next year was spent attending auditions without success. Only in 2011 an offer was received, to which the boy immediately agreed. This offer was a role in the film “Emergency”. Semyon was invited to act as an understudy in the film.

But before filming, the director decided to get to know the new guy on the team better. After a conversation with the aspiring actor, Vsevolod Benigsen changed his mind. Treskunov was offered the main role. The image of Vasenka revealed the talent of a boy with a characteristic, memorable face. Various proposals rained down on him. Since childhood, Semyon has been seriously involved in swimming. There were so many film projects that Semyon was faced with a choice: cinema or swimming. We all understand the choice the boy made.

Cinema

Semyon Treskunov’s film debut took place in 2011, when he was invited as an understudy in Vsevolod Benigsen’s social drama “Emergency.” Having examined the young man better, the director gave him the entire role of the boy Vasya. She became the first in his filmography.

Then, in Stanislav Nazirov’s melodrama “The Night Guest,” the young actor played the son of the main character. In 2012, he took part in the lyrical comedy “Moms”. He played a small but noticeable role in Renat Davletyarov’s psychological thriller “The Steel Butterfly” - a street child nicknamed “Dwarf”.

And the role of schoolboy Mishka Khrustalev in the children's adventure film “Private Pioneer” allowed Semyon to receive many awards at various film festivals, including for the best acting duet with Yegor Klinaev.

Treskunov starred with leading Russian directors: in the historical and biographical film by Alexander Mitta “Chagall - Malevich” (Leva in childhood), in the drama by Alexander Kott “The Third World War” (Petka, the grandson of Grandfather Maxim), in the detective series by Evgeny Lavrentyev “Black Cats” (Romka punks).

"At the bottom"

In 2014, at the Window to Europe festival, Vladimir Kott’s social drama “At the Lower Depths” based on Maxim Gorky was shown for the first time, where Semyon played Luka.

The action of the film was transferred to modern Russia. Instead of a flophouse, there is a landfill where Gorky’s characters live, waiting for a garbage truck, looking for scrap metal, drinking, quarreling, making peace and meeting Luka. The main difference between the picture and the play is that Luke turned from an old man into a homeless teenager.

“At the Bottom” was filmed in a real landfill with all the accompanying smells and dirt, but Vladimir Kott forbade wearing masks on set. Gradually, both the cast and crew settled in, experiencing true immersion in the characters' environment. At the same time, as the director says, the result was not smut, but a funny and at the same time sad movie.

"Family business"

Also popular with viewers was the sitcom “Family Business” by Alexey Chistikov and Ivan Kitaev, in which the actor played one of the main roles.

How do little ones raise adults? How long does it take to put five children to bed? Is it possible to make a business out of family relationships? And also friendship, devotion and love as a remedy for all illnesses and adversities - in this comedy series.

"Ghost"

According to film critics, the artist’s great creative achievement was the role of Vanya Kuznetsov in the mystical comedy “Ghost” by Alexander Voitinsky. Semyon played a mama's boy, despised by his classmates, who begins to be haunted by the ghost of a deceased aircraft designer. His partner on the set was Fyodor Bondarchuk. “The “ghost” in my life is not just incredible luck, it’s some kind of karmic gift!” the actor admitted.

Members of the film crew recall that at first Treskunov was a little shy of Bondarchuk, but this only played into the hands of the creative team, because in the film the rapprochement of the characters does not happen immediately. Fyodor Bondarchuk, in turn, noted that the young actor became his main discovery on the project: “Semyon is not just an organic and gifted guy, at 14 he is already a real professional!.. His schedule is scheduled until 2020. When I hinted that it would be nice to adjust my schedule, they politely but firmly answered me: “Sorry, but Semyon’s schedule does not allow us to do this!” Well, what can I do, I adjusted!” – Bondarchuk smiles.

"Sofia"

In the historical film “Sofia” by Alexei Andrianov, Semyon Treskunov got the role of Ivan the Terrible in his youth.

Plot: Second half of the 15th century: Rus' has been under the yoke of the Mongol-Tatar yoke for two centuries. Ivan III, Prince of Moscow, in order to strengthen the state, decides to marry Sophia Paleologus, a Byzantine princess living after the collapse of Byzantium in Rome under the patronage of the Pope.

The film reproduces the costumes and household items of the era with the highest precision. Scenes of battles and natural disasters, secrets and intrigues of the medieval grand ducal court, love and jealousy, witchcraft and repentance.

"Good boy"

In 2016, Oksana Karas’ youth film “Good Boy” was released, in which Treskunov (Kolya Smirnov) played with Konstantin Khabensky and Mikhail Efremov. The film won the Grand Prix at Kinotavr.

Semyon explains: “First of all, I want to say that you should not take the title of the film “Good Boy” literally, because Good Boy is an ironic designation of some personal characteristics and qualities inherent in Kolya. And Kolya is a person capable of mimicking any state of society. He is a very comfortable, very flexible, gutta-percha little man who can find an approach to anyone, which is why he is good. Up to a certain point, in people's eyes, he is a good boy who can please everyone. That’s why there is a conflict in the film—a clash of two different worldviews.

At first, Kolya is a maximalist young man, for whom the world is absolutely black and white. Then he already enters the stage of growing up, and some wider color palette of the world opens up to him. And he understands that the world cannot be unambiguous, that the boundaries of good and evil sometimes shift towards each other. That is why “good boy” is already in quotation marks. Because by this moment he is creating so many troubles that he is not able to cope with that you can no longer call him good.”

"T-34"

In 2020, the film “T-34” will be released, in which viewers will see the artist again. This military-patriotic drama is based on the true story of a Soviet tank driver who managed to escape from German captivity on a T-34 tank. The action takes place in 1941 during the Great Patriotic War. The film was shot with the participation of the Rossiya TV channel.

Film producer Ruben Dishdishyan says: “T-34” is our largest project in the last five years, and we are placing a serious bet on it. Three years passed from the moment Alexey Sidorov wrote the application for the T-34 until the start of filming. All this time, painstaking work was going on on the script. Our task was to make it as spectator-friendly as possible, dynamic, modern, aimed at different audiences, so that the film would be spectacular for young people, accustomed to seeing the best Hollywood genre examples, and at the same time, with a deep exciting story and characters, for people of the older generation . "T-34" has everything to become an event film, and we and our partners will try not to disappoint the viewer."

The young actor Semyon Treskunov managed to work in almost all genres - from comedy to philosophical drama, trying on a variety of roles. His filmography already includes 40 films.

Semyon got into cinema thanks to a funny incident. It turns out that the young actor’s mother always dreamed of getting into films, or at least starring in commercials. To fulfill her dream, the woman constantly went to castings. One day it occurred to her to take her children to the next casting. Ten-year-old Semyon and his younger brother Yakov liked the process so much that they soon also began to come to similar events. But their mother stopped going to castings after the birth of her daughter Sofia.

Family of Semyon Treskunov - parents, sister and brother | Hello

Semyon’s first success was a successful casting for an MTS advertisement. He received an invitation to a meeting with a director who had arrived from America, but on the appointed day he was ill and was going to stay at home. At the last moment, the boy decided to bring down his high fever and still made it to the meeting. This is how Semyon Treskunov’s acting biography began, which he successfully combines with classes at the most ordinary metropolitan school.

Criticism

Afisha columnist Anton Dolin about the actor’s performance in the film “Ghost”: “Semyon Treskunov not only copes with a difficult role, but “steals the show from Bondarchuk himself,” and the young actor has a “big bright future.”

Rossiyskaya Gazeta reviewer Susanna Alperina agrees with this assessment: “... Semyon Treskunov clearly has all the makings to become the Yuri Nikulin of our time.”

In turn, Kommersant film critic Lidiya Maslova finds the actor’s performance even too professional, since he managed to create “... such a convincing image of an unpleasant whiner and a nerd that you quickly want to send this boy somewhere far away into the Universe - or at the helm of something that has not yet been tested an airplane, as it happens in the film, or, even better, in some special cargo compartment of an intercontinental ballistic missile.”

Interview

About the movie:

“I really love science fiction, crime comedies, westerns, and I’m loyal to films based on comic books. Hollywood has all this in abundance, but here they make either historical films or comedies - and that’s it, there’s nowhere else to go. In addition, half of our comedies have secondary plots, and instead of quality, they can often only boast of a star cast. This, in my opinion, is also not very correct - to shove as many celebrities as possible into one film instead of finding actors suitable for the roles.”

About the roles:

“In the beginning, I didn’t plan to give up anything. For the simple reason that I was new to cinema. For me it was a completely new world, which I had to painstakingly study. I didn’t even have a great-aunt who played in the regional theater. Therefore, any role seemed to me like a gift, a miracle, a gift from fate, and I did not neglect even the smallest episode. As I grew a little older and brought some personal ambitions to the forefront, at some point I wanted to choose roles. But even then I didn’t do it. I had to prove myself as a good young artist, and then carefully take small steps towards my own selectivity. Now, without struggling with my own conscience, I can determine for myself exactly whether I want to star in this or that project, or whether I can very politely and tactfully refuse it.”

“Ultimately I decide. But it is quite difficult to manage without advice from relatives. Moreover, I have a trusting relationship with my parents. And I wouldn’t forgive myself if I selfishly made such serious decisions myself. When reading a script, you never know into whose hands it will fall, or in what direction it will be altered. Sometimes you turn down a role, and then, looking at the screen, you think that you have made one of the biggest mistakes in your life. It also happens the other way around."

About the theater:

“I don’t know why the concept that theater is some kind of elite society is still cultivated in people’s minds. All art long ago moved to the screens, to the cinema, but in the theater there is very little art left, in my opinion... repertoire performances that are performed three times a week. I don’t understand at all how you can rehearse all this time and play three more times, also with run-throughs in the morning. This is detrimental to all creativity."

About dreams and plans for the future:

“Any talent needs to be developed. I decided for myself that I would study in America, but not to become an actor, but to become a producer. I want to return to Russia later and change everything for the better. I have a dream - for Russian cinema to catch up with American cinema in terms of level. I think that first I’ll go there just to live, get comfortable, and learn the language. I’m already watching films in English and reading books.”

“I want to try myself in everything. Before I started acting, I had a passion for literature: I even tried writing. Nothing came of it - I simply did not have the experience and horizons. But someday I want to try myself both as a screenwriter and as a director.”

“...we mainly produce comedies and war dramas, but I want to make sure that we also have multi-genre films: action films and science-fiction thrillers.”

“I dream of starring with Zvyagintsev, for example. I’m ready for anything: whatever the director tells me, that’s what I’ll do. It’s just that they call me more often in comedy. But I played Luka in Vladimir Kott’s film “At the Lower Depths” based on Gorky’s play. It was a super dramatic and complex role: a man was dying in my arms.”

About partners:

“I communicated with Konstantin Yuryevich Khabensky on the set of “Good Boy” as with a father. I still jokingly call Irina Denisova, who played my mother in the film, “mom.” Mikhail Olegovich Efremov and I had previously starred in the film “At the Lower Depths,” we remembered each other and were happy to collaborate again. Fyodor Sergeevich (Bondarchuk) turned out to be an open, friendly, witty person, it was easy to be with him. If you come to the site and can show yourself as a professional, albeit a small one, this immediately removes unnecessary questions and worries. So I just tried to do my job honestly with my favorite adult actors.”

About the directors:

“I watch a lot of different movies. I really love the work of the American director Paul Thomas Anderson, the author of the wonderful films “Magnolia”, “Boogie Nights”, “Oil”, “The Master”. Amazingly, he knows how to turn small stories into epic pictures and fill them with heroes, as they say, with a capital letter. Among Russian directors, I really like the works of Andrei Zvyagintsev, Yuri Bykov, Roman Karimov.”

About recognition:

“When the first episode of Family Business came out, the next morning I picked up the phone and saw that there were ten thousand friend requests on my VKontakte page! Literally overnight. Periodically people recognize me on the subway and ask me to take a photo. At first there was a stir at school, especially among the primary classes. It can be funny: I’m sitting in the dining room, eating liver, and kids come up to me with my printed photo and ask me to sign it. I'm pleased. I only sometimes get lost when very beautiful girls come up.”

About love and relationships:

“Now there is a fashion for short-term relationships. But I don't understand it. If there is no strong feeling, why date?”

“Everything will come in due time. I don’t remember who said it: “Everything that is ours will come. Everything that didn’t come is not ours.”

About money:

“My attitude towards banknotes is philosophical. If material well-being seemed important to me, I would enter a financial and economic institute, work in a bank and make money from money. In my personal frame of reference, creativity has been and remains the primary benefit for me.”

About Me:

“Dad taught me that no external stimuli should prevent you from seeing a clear goal in front of you. And then, why should I change anything? I don’t go to clubs and don’t lead a chaotic personal life, there’s nothing to catch me with. In this regard, I take the example of Leonardo DiCaprio, who at some point simply stopped disclosing personal information about himself that no one should know. As a result, he retained the mystery that any actor should have. In general, it seems to me that the copper pipe test is the most difficult, and it is very important to pass it.”

“And to be honest, I would like to be a little more attentive to other people in some situations. I wouldn’t call myself uncontactable, but sometimes it’s difficult for me to make new acquaintances if there’s nothing connecting me with the person. I am an open soul with my friends, and communication with them gives me only pleasure. But it’s quite difficult for me to pay attention to people whom I have not met before, and even more so to somehow endear myself to them, and them to myself. Therefore, I often withdraw, behave in a strange and absurd way, I can commit some thoughtless and, as it turns out, terrible act, and I will regret it - this shows my inattentiveness. If you are more attentive to each other, smile more often at another person when you say “Hello,” then the world will become kinder and brighter.”

Actor's motto:

“I once spied this phrase from Brad Pitt: “First you work hard, then you relax great.”

Experienced beyond his years

Having such an impressive filmography, Semyon claims that no one has yet demanded acting education from him. He hopes they won't demand it. However, feeling some discomfort in this matter, he told the correspondent that just before “Ghost” he had to attend Meisner’s courses, which were taught by a dean from the University of California who came to the capital.

Having gone through two stages in mastering the mentioned technique, Treskunov received two diplomas. And now he has at least some kind of system where everything is clearly outlined and explained to him. Still, there must be a certain school. If not Stanislavsky’s system, then at least Maizner’s.

The film “Good Boy” in Sochi received the main prize of the festival. Semyon soulfully played the ninth-grader Kolya Smirnov, which pleased both the strict jury and numerous spectators, which became his new creative success. Interestingly, in the film Kolya’s dad is Konstantin Khabensky.

The famous actor agreed to play this role when he learned that Semyon Treskunov was involved in the comedy film. The guy has reason to be proud. When there wasn't enough money to finish filming Good Boy, the producer had to pawn his car.

The young man tries to take his fame calmly. The crown does not put pressure on his head, and Semyon does not experience star fever. He says that recognition is both flattering and inconvenient in equal measure.

During the Sochi Film Festival, it’s nice. They praise, say compliments, wish for further success. And in the morning on the bus, when some girl starts expressing her emotions loudly, and everyone pays attention to you, it’s very uncomfortable and you don’t know what to do with yourself.

Personal life of Semyon Treskunov

It is clear that Treskunov is still very young and not married. For those interested, he is 170 cm tall and weighs 60 kg, he is already taller than his father. But journalists cannot ignore the topic of the artist’s cordial relationship. They start pestering him with questions about whether you had a first love, Semyon, and what it was like, but please give more details.

He doesn't have much to tell. He is not distinguished by written beauty, and he himself cannot call what happened to him love. He liked the girl from his building, we walked together and went to the movies. Then Treskunov had to leave for some time, and when he returned, communication did not resume.

He knows about high feelings from books where it is written that first love does not let go for a long time. A very long time. Semyon sincerely believes that there must be a strong feeling for a person, otherwise why meet. He doesn't understand short-term relationships between a guy and a girl.

When asked if he wanted to fall in love, Treskunov responded with someone else’s phrase: “Whatever is yours, it will come. If it doesn’t come, then it’s not yours.” Briefly and clearly. And don’t interfere with your stupid questions, but they will interfere anyway, otherwise you should have chosen the specialty of a mechanic.

Of course, through creativity you learn more about the facets of life and experience different dramatic moments. In the film “At the Lower Depths,” based on the play of the same name by Maxim Gorky, Semyon has a dying man in his arms, and in the series “The Far Side of the Moon,” Treskunov played the role of a maniac as a child.

The young artist does not spend money on any useless things. If he needs something, his parents allocate a certain amount. I wanted a microphone to become a musician - they bought it. I decided to buy a good camera - please. Dad gives him gifts from his own money, and not from money he takes for his son’s work on the set. Semyon undoubtedly wants to have his own car, and his father teaches him to drive.

With parents

There are many photos on Instagram where our hero is with his little sister Sofia. A young girl and her mother are recognized and approached asking to be photographed. Marina Treskunova says that such attention is impressive when sincere interest is shown. There were never any troubles or awkward moments.

Because of filming, Semyon had to miss school classes, and here his class teacher always came to the rescue. Maria Alekseevna managed to explain this or that topic in such a way that everything was clear in ten minutes, although her classmates studied it for a whole week.

Treskunov does not go to any clubs. For the first time in six years, he had almost an entire summer month to rest. Semyon understands that the most important test to be passed is the test with copper pipes.

When he eats in the school cafeteria, kids come up to him and ask him to sign a printed photograph of him. The artist gets lost in those cases when very pretty girls turn to him with the same request.

With the release of the sitcom “Family Business,” there were ten thousand friend requests on Semyon’s VKontakte page. And this is literally in one day. Treskunov writes rap, enjoys windsurfing, snowboarding and ice skating. His most important critic as a young man is his dad.

Career of Semyon Treskunov

A young man without education managed to play in a large number of projects at the beginning of his career. You can count more than 40 films that began appearing in 2011. Many of these films were successful with film critics. Almost everyone charmed the viewer.

How versatile Treskunov is as an actor can be understood by his roles. In "The Steel Butterfly" he is a Dwarf - a street kid with a character. In the film “At the Bottom” he did a great job portraying Luka. And how harmoniously he looked in the comedy “Honest Pioneer”. For his role in the last film, Semyon received many awards. One of them is for the best acting duet with Yegor Klinaev. And critics highly praised his work on the film “Ghost”. Anton Dolin even stated that Semyon managed to outplay “Bondarchuk himself.” F'dor Bondarchuk himself speaks with admiration of Semyon, calling him a true professional and the main discovery of the film. It should be noted that Fyodor adjusted the filming schedule to suit the gifted boy.

The film “Good Boy” was included in the TOP of works by the young star. Semyon managed not only not to fade in comparison with such actors as Konstantin Khabensky, Mikhail Efremov, but also to bring his own charm and character to the film. It is worth noting that the film took the Grand Prix at Kinotavr 2016. And Khabensky agreed to a role in this film when he saw the name Treskunov in the cast.

The role of young Ivan the Terrible was also easy for Semyon. In the historical epic “Sofia” the boy appeared in tandem with Maria Andreeva. This was followed by work on the set of the film “Frontier”. In the film, the boy played with the star of the series “Major” Pavel Priluchny.
