This group of microorganisms has a significant prevalence in the surrounding space, inhabiting the mucous membranes of the body in normal health. With a favorable provoking effect, a simultaneous accumulation of fungi on the integument is observed, causing the appearance of deformation surface changes, which in addition create a lot of unpleasant and uncomfortable sensations. Initially, the affected area changes the shade of the tissue, after which a small blistering rash appears in this area. The slightly red tint of the spots turns into intense purple. The lesion has a high rate of spread. In every second case, the skin in the groin area begins to crack, resulting in painful, long-healing wounds.
The spots form a clear edge, and in the area where the bubbles appear, after they open, ulcers form. This type of groin fungus synthesizes a special enzyme that accumulates on the integument in the form of a cheesy thick mass, which also includes exfoliated cells of the surface layers of the skin. The separated secretion is visible visually, which makes it possible to attribute the pathology to thrush.
Inguinal rubrophytosis
The causative agent of mycosis is Trichophyton rubrum or red trichophyton. It got its name due to the specific property of producing a scarlet color when growing on an artificial medium. It has a wide range of distribution in the surrounding space, which is the main reason for its damage to human integument.
The fungus most often affects the tissues of the feet and hands, especially the interdigital folds and the nail plate, less often the integument of the body and the groin area. The pathogen is spread directly by an infected person or through contact with personal items, so people who are in close contact with the infected person become infected quite quickly. Favorable conditions for the existence of a pathogenic pathogen are warm and humid places, namely swimming pools, saunas, baths.
Signs of fungal infection can be of two types, starting with an erythematosquamous form, gradually turning into a follicular nodular form. Primary symptoms include the appearance of large spots in the groin area with internal lumps and blisters filled with serous contents. The expansion of the capillary network in these areas gives the spots a rich red tint, visualizing the area of peeling.
The edging of the spot has the appearance of a thin elevation with clear edges of the zone of fungal tissue infection. In the central area of the spot, cellular maturation of the pathological process is observed with a change in the current shade of the tissues, which acquire a color from yellowish to bluish-brown. The disease has a long-term and sluggish course. In the absence of the required treatment, the initial form transforms into a follicular-nodular type of rubrophytosis.
