But that's not true. One of Valeria’s friends gave birth to the baby. Burduja often comes to visit them and plays with the boy.

At twenty-five years old, the actress managed to act in films with famous directors and start a family. Details in the interview
She burst onto the domestic film horizon like a comet - swiftly and brightly. Viewers could see Valeria Burduja in such popular TV series as “The Mentalist”, “Swing”, “Double Continuous”, “Second Sight”. And this is just the beginning, because the young actress is only twenty-five years old. But there was also a period in her life when she gave up - the support of her family and her best friend, classmate Dmitry Podadayev, who later acquired a different status, helped. Now Valeria and Dmitry are husband and wife and dream of adding to their family. The actress told Atmosphere magazine about this.
— Lera, just recently you celebrated your anniversary—twenty-five years. Is this a lot or a little?
“Just yesterday I came to my school, talked with graduates, and the teacher asked: “When did you graduate from school?” And I said, “Eight years ago.” It seems like so much time has already passed. On the other hand, I’m only twenty-five! Whole life ahead. I think this is a wonderful age - I still have time to film, build a family life, and give birth to a child. By twenty-five you already know yourself approximately, you understand where to move next.
— How do you feel like an adult? What actions can you no longer afford?
- Oh, I was generally a bad girl, a tomboy - one of those who skips school, always on the go, a lighter, in a word. I could, for example, stand near the metro and call passersby to some coffee shop, and I myself did not work there. (Laughs.) People looked at me in bewilderment. Now, with age, I have become quieter, calmer, I don’t just splash my energy. There is a husband, other family responsibilities have appeared.
— You come from Astrakhan. Do you remember your hometown?
— I was born in the military town of Znamensk, Astrakhan region. She lived there for the first nine years of her life. It seems like a little, but every time there is a difficult period in life, I dream of my city, how I walk along the streets. I still have many friends there, even though we were in elementary school, we still communicate. There is a completely different atmosphere there than in Moscow.

— Did you come there later?
— Yes, she came seven years later, we met with my class and the first teacher. And it was really great. They asked me about my life and shared news. Everything was so sincere and welcoming that I felt there as if I had never left.
— Dad probably served in Znamensk?
— Yes, and my mother was a military doctor. And my brother was born there, in Znamensk. And then my parents bought an apartment in Moscow and moved. They apparently decided that children should have a different future, more opportunities. It seems to me that it was not in vain that they did this: apparently, they had a presentiment that their daughter would stir up something here. (Laughs.) And I am very glad and grateful to them for making such a choice. Although it was not easy: I had to start everything from scratch.
— And your ambitious future started with the ballet “Todes”.
— At first I studied in one of the studios in the “Morning Star” program with Yuri Nikolaev. But then my parents and I realized that I wouldn’t be a singer. And then mom and dad offered to get into Alla Dukhova’s show ballet “Todes”. Actually, I thought it was ballet, I came to class in a ballet tutu. I looked into the hall, and there were guys dancing r'n'b. I rushed out of the hall, and the first thing I said was: “Mom, I need sneakers! I want to come here!!!" I danced in Todes for four years and was one of the best in my group. I didn’t feel like a prima, but I was very proud: they believed in me! In fact, “Todes” taught me a lot. There were a lot of, as they would say now, majors, children from wealthy families, whom their parents brought in Mercedes. And these guys looked down on everyone. I got to the studio alone, by public transport. We lived in Biryulevo: so first I rode the train, then the metro, then the tram. At the same time, I was able to gain respect in my group. As a ten-year-old child, they called me by my full name, Valeria. (Smiles.) And I was proud of it. Even the guys from the main team talked to me.

— Was dancing easy for you?
— I really love dancing, it energizes me. Until now, my favorite style is hip-hop, despite the fact that later I began to study classical dance. But in reality, without perseverance, of course, you won’t achieve anything here; this is serious physical activity. A few years later, I decided to repeat my dance by recording, but I couldn’t even complete half of it. My muscles hurt terribly. I don’t understand how I could stand this before. But I always had this perseverance, the desire to become the best, the first.
— A logical question: why didn’t your career as a dancer develop further?
“It turned out that I ended up on the set.” My mother then worked in a real estate agency. And one of the clients invited her to act as an extra in the film “Four Taxi Drivers and a Dog 2.” Mom said: “Okay, I’ll take my daughter with me.” The main role was Svetlana Ivanova. I looked at her in fascination: how she plays! It seemed to me that only very strong people with an inner core can achieve something in this profession. And then I realized that I also wanted to become an actress. After seventh grade I went to drama school. And these were the most wonderful four years! I played the main roles in our school theater. And I felt that this was my calling. Although, I confess, when I entered the theater university, I prepared a spare airfield for myself: at the same time I took the law exams. But in the end I entered the Shchepkinsky School. And I am very happy that this is how my fate turned out. After all, it was on my course that I met my future husband, Dmitry Podadayev.
- Was this your first love?
- Yes, but the feeling came later, at first we were best friends. And only somewhere in the third year something clicked, we looked at each other with different eyes. Now he is my husband and I am my wife. We have been in this status since August 11, 2020, and will soon celebrate our anniversary. But we had already been together for five years before that. (Smiles.)

- You are both actors, emotional people. Is it probably not easy for you?
- No, everything is very simple and wonderful. Dima serves at the Mossovet Theater, plays leading roles, in particular, he plays Prince Myshkin in the play “The Idiot”. I think this is one of the best productions. It turns out that he plays on stage, and I act in films. There is no rivalry between us, which is very cool. We discuss everything together, he supports me, I support him. Dating a person who is not your profession... he simply will not understand some points. I’m returning from filming, I want to share my experience: “You know, the cameraman found such a great angle, and the one-shot scene was just super!” The average person will say, “Which scene?” And the husband will listen with interest. He is my best critic, I trust his opinion, I listen to his comments. Just like he does to mine. It is important for him that I attend his premieres. God grant that it continues like this. In general, I am very lucky with my husband! Dima is also a family man; for both of us, career is not in the first place.
- It’s wonderful that you coincided like that. They probably got to know each other well while they were friends.
- Yes, I think it’s so great when your husband is your best friend. (Smiles.)
— How did it all start, at what point did your feelings change?
“I guess I needed support.” I released my first series, “Angel or Demon.” We filmed two seasons, and I was very tired. This was the first serious project, and no one canceled classes at the institute. Dima probably sensed my condition: he tried to somehow support and cheer me up. I realized that this person would always be there, lending his shoulder. I already saw in him a man, and not a boy - a student at a theater university. And I am not at all disappointed in my choice, on the contrary, I am incredibly happy that we are together!
— The material component of life is not so important for you? Both of you have an unstable profession in terms of income.
“So far everything is good, there is work, and money is coming to us.” We do not deny ourselves anything. Using their own hard earned money, they arranged a wedding for themselves and arranged a wonderful trip to the Maldives. At the same time, I also help my parents and brother, and Dima helps his family. Probably every mother dreams that her daughter will be with a rich husband, not need anything, so that the specks of dust will be blown off her. But it seems to me that feelings should still come first. A great example for me is my own parents, who, having nothing, simply joined hands and together achieved what they have now. We had difficult periods, we didn’t have enough money, but now, I think, we live just fine!

-Who is the boss in your house?
— I used to like to feel like a leader: as I say, so it will be. And now I realized that the man in charge of the house is still the man. More precisely, the man is the head, and the woman is the neck. Wherever the neck turns, the head goes. (Laughs.) In fact, in life, in everyday life, we give in to each other. But in terms of creativity, disagreements occur. There was never a time when we met with our course and discussed something and didn’t argue with Dima. (Laughs.) But, in my opinion, this is normal: each of us is a creative person, each has his own view.
— Are there any taboos for you in terms of filming? Was there such a thing that Dima said: “No, you won’t act there”?
— My husband supports me in all my endeavors. It is clear that it is better to discuss something in advance, for example, if explicit scenes are coming up. I approach such proposals very carefully. Now it is believed: the more nudity in the picture, the more interesting it is for the viewer. In my opinion, if it does not carry a semantic load, it is quite possible to do without intimate photography. In the series “Second Sight” we had a love scene with Pavel Trubiner. I was very worried - for me it was the first such experience, although everything was filmed very delicately and beautifully. And I want to say a huge thank you to Pavel, who supported me. Of course, after this filming, Dima and I shared my experiences. Probably, there must be some kind of mystery in a woman, but Dima is my other self, my soulmate, from whom I have no secrets. And it seems to me that if I am frank with my husband, it will only benefit our relationship.
- Is he open with you?
- Yes, he also shares his doubts. My support is important to him. It’s like a swing: when I’m going through a difficult period, Dima is a strong shoulder for me. When something goes wrong with him, I try to help. And he also has a great sense of humor! This also helps to overcome difficulties.
“It’s great that you trust each other.” Every now and then you hear stories about romances on the set.
- You know, this is always visible in a woman: how open she is to flirting and romance. I know what helps me get out of the image: you put a wedding ring on your finger and return to real life. It has never happened that I lost my head. For me, colleagues are not men. Then among them there are really a lot of such Actors Actors, especially in adulthood, who are desperately trying to make a young girl fall in love with them. It looks funny and pathetic. They still cannot believe that they are already being offered the roles of fathers, and not heroic lovers. Well, okay, let me play along with you a little, but then the shooting will end, and I will go home to my husband, and you go to your wife.
Dress, Animos; earrings, H&M
— Do you have any idols that you would like to meet in person?
“I really want to meet Sveta Ivanova and share that it was thanks to her that I came to this profession. In general, my wishes often come true. For example, I always liked Natasha Antonova, and we are talking now. I once dreamed of working with Evgenia Dobrovolskaya - and this happened in the series “Double Continuous”. I really wanted to meet Katya Shpitsa - and now we are filming together in the full-length film “Apricot Paradise,” which will probably go to Kinotavr. I would like to get into some project of Alexander Tsekalo - in my opinion, he makes very high-quality films. And I like Yuri Bykov as a director.
— And not one of the Russian stars?
— I admire Alicia Vikander, who played the main role in the film “The Light Between Oceans” - I think she is special, magical. And if we take stars, but not from the acting world, then Cristiano Ronaldo is interesting to me. I've been watching football matches with my husband lately and I'm just in awe of what this guy does, how he scores goals. I'd love to see this live. Now there will be a World Championship, I hope such an opportunity will arise.
— Is football a common hobby between you and your husband, or do you just “play along”?
- I always liked him. I remember as a child I often played ball in the yard with the boys. Now Dima and I are rooting for Lokomotiv. Whenever possible, we go to the stadium. Not long ago we went to a match - our team played with the Brazilian team. You can’t imagine how great it is when the entire podium stands up and sings the anthem. Can't convey the emotions! You feel so inspired. It seemed to me that some kind of energy drink had been injected into me. (Laughs.)
— Are you happy with how everything is going in terms of your profession?
- Yes, apparently luck is on my side. It so happened that I was shown almost simultaneously in a multi-part film, first on the Rossiya TV channel, and then on Channel One. And there are a lot of offers now. But I think I deserve my success. For a whole year after graduating from college, I was unemployed. I walked around Mosfilm with my portfolio, knocking on every door.
— This year must have been difficult...
- Yes, there were tears and depression, from which it seemed to me that I could not get out. Thank you for your support Dima and my family. I came to the casting and before I even had time to say “goodbye,” I was ready to cry, because I knew that they wouldn’t approve me. Probably there was no self-confidence. I didn’t understand why they hire people without acting education, but with media backgrounds. All this did not fit into my consciousness. Until at some point I was invited first to one episode, then to another, then they offered me a larger role. I took on any job. Therefore, everything that I have now was achieved through my own labor.
— Do you encounter envy, some conversations behind your back?
- Yes, sure. When a career takes off, people have questions: “Who is promoting it?” No. I'm doing everything myself, and it's real. I admit, I am a very sensitive person and I get upset when I sometimes read in the comments: “This Burduja again, what kind of actress is this, she has an empty look.” But, on the other hand, being praised all the time is also not good. There should be constructive criticism, and I listen to comments. I am a driven actress, I don’t yet have much professional baggage to argue with the director. (Smiles.) And I have respect for the entire film crew.
- You said that you are thinking about children. Is it scary to take a break when your career is growing so rapidly?
- No, I’m not afraid of anything with Dima. Then I have a wonderful agency, which, I am sure, will not leave me. Nowadays, many actresses give birth to children and do not drop out of the profession. The same Glafira Tarkhanova or Katya Klimova are excellent examples for me. You can set yourself a goal to become even better in your profession - so that you don’t feel ashamed in front of your children.
Dress, self made; earrings, H&M
- What kind of family do you want, a big one?
“We definitely won’t limit ourselves to one child.” (Laughs.) It turns out that so far Dima’s family only has girls. Two older sisters pleased their parents with granddaughters. So now everyone is asking us: let's have a boy. And we are working on it. (Laughs.) Of course, whoever is born, it will be a favorite child. In general, ideally, I imagine that we will live in a large country house and have many children.
— Does someone help you around the house or do you cope on your own?
- Nobody, I have no assistants. We had an idea to order repairs, but in the end we did everything ourselves. We hung wallpaper until four in the morning, after filming and performances, but it was really cool! It was inspiring that we were furnishing our home. To be honest, I even relax when I clean. I won’t say that I’m an ideal cook, but I try, I study, I look for interesting recipes. I think a woman should know how to cook. And when I’m not in the city, I’m also calm about my husband’s food, he is independent in my everyday life and cooks very tasty. But I find it very difficult to bear the separation from him. We are very attached to each other. The first two nights in the hotel I simply cannot sleep. Then, of course, after two days, I just collapse from fatigue.
— You probably call Dima often?
- Yes, but at the same time we both understand that if a person doesn’t answer right away, it means he’s busy. Then he will call back when he is free. We don’t bother in vain and give each other freedom, which is also important. Everyone needs personal space. Dima can go somewhere with friends, sit in a male company. And he lets me go to meet my friends.
— Are you planning to spend your summer vacation together?
— Dima has a vacation from the theater in August-September. I hope I won’t be filmed during this period. There are many options for where to go. I would like to go to Italy. Or maybe we’ll go to Greece. I really love the sea and the sun, probably because I spent my childhood in a southern city. We went on our honeymoon to the Maldives for almost two weeks. Everyone said: “There’s nothing to see there except the beaches. You will be bored, you will definitely quarrel.” And we had such a great time! We read, watched TV series, swam, admired the small fish that swam in the water right next to our feet. We were so recharged and didn’t want to go back! I'm never bored with my husband.
Valeria Burduja's husband
Until recently, the film actress had never appeared on television with a young man. This gave rise to rumors about her homosexuality. Valeria herself only laughed at this and said that everything was idle fiction.
In 2020, Burduja posted a photo on her Instagram page showing a young man. But it was taken from the back. The girl just smiled mysteriously to all the questions. She didn't even give a hint that would reveal the guy's name.
At the same time, in one of the newspapers, it was written that Valeria Burduja’s husband would appear only when our heroine received recognition and became a world actress. The artist herself stated this in her interview.
In the same year, the actress became the wife of one of her colleagues. The girl happily shared with fans that she became the wife of Dmitry Podadayev. He studied with her in the same course. The young guy starred in several TV series and became famous for his roles in “Snipers”, “Love is not Potatoes”, “Forbidden Love” and others.
After the wedding ceremony, the lovers went on their honeymoon. They spent their vacation in sunny Sochi.
Currently, the lovers are filming films and spending all their free time with each other. In the future they dream of having a child.
Burduzha Valeria Alexandrovna
Valeria Burduzha was born on April 28, 1993 in the city of Znamensk, Astrakhan region. Unfortunately, nothing is known about her family. It seems that there are no artists among her relatives, but the girl’s dream of going on stage and acting in films was born in elementary school. Valeria made the final decision to become an actress in the 7th grade.
In 2010, Valeria Burduzha received her matriculation certificate and set off to conquer Moscow. On her first attempt, the girl entered the famous theater school named after M. Shchepkin and was enrolled in the course of Boris Klyuev.
In 2014, the young actress was awarded a diploma, and she continued to build a career, because at the time of graduation she already had several theater and film works in her treasury.
For the first time, the girl demonstrated her acting abilities in performances staged by the Vedogon Theater. The most striking among her stage works are the productions “Twelfth Night, or Whatever...” and “Late Love.” In the first performance, Valeria wonderfully played Maria, Olivia's maid.
Theatergoers and television viewers remembered the production “Late Love” even more, because it was so successful that a television version was filmed. The main characters - Felitsata Antonovna and Gerasim Porfiryich Margaritov - were brilliantly played by graduates of Klyuev's workshop Valeria Burduzha and Dmitry Podadayev.
Valeria’s cinematic biography began during her student years: the young actress made her debut in Mark Gorobets’s mystical melodrama “Angel or Demon,” playing the role of Katya. The main roles in the series - an adaptation of the Spanish project of the same name - went to Anna Andrusenko and Kirill Zaporozhsky. Another partner of Valeria Burduzhi in this film turned out to be Artyom Krylov: the audience watched the development of the relationship between their heroes Katya and Gosha with special trepidation.
Further, the young actress added the mini-series “Common Myrtle” and the melodrama “Too Beautiful a Wife” to her filmography. After the release of these films, Valeria Burduzha turned into a recognizable artist, she had fans and her own fan group on social networks.
The first leading role came to the young artist along with the project of director Stanislav Nazirov “I Remember Everything”. Valeria Burduzha reincarnated in this crime melodrama as intern Marina Kornilova, who will have to investigate a complicated case about a girl who was believed to have been burned in a fire.
In this crime film, Valeria Burduzha starred with young colleagues Artyom Osipov, Olga Aksenova and Vasily Shmakov. The film was released in 2013 and brought the actress her first tangible success.
This was followed by the detective stories “The Troubled Area”, “Anna the Detective” and “Dead Heart”, and the comedy “Exchange Brothers” was released.
In 2020, viewers on the Domashny channel enjoyed watching the provocative series “Double Continuous” directed by Vladimir Nakhabtsev. Valeria in this project got the role of Varya, the daughter of the main character Anna. The key role of Anna was played by the famous Russian actress Evgenia Dobrovolskaya. In this film, her young colleague Anton Batyrev played along with Burduja. The audience liked the film so much that its creators filmed a second season in 2020, in which Valeria Burduja appeared again.
The career of the young artist is gaining momentum: in 2020, Valeria Burduja pleased her fans with new works on the screen. In Kirill Belevich’s series “Second Sight” the girl starred in key roles with her famous colleague Pavel Trubiner.
The TV series “Gentlemen Policemen” and “The Mentalist” also appeared on screens. The latter is an adaptation of the popular American TV movie "The Mentalist". In this action-packed 16-episode film directed by Alexei Muradov, viewers saw Valeria in the role of Elizaveta Klimova.
