BIOGRAPHY

Kirill Kyaro was born in Tallinn. The actor’s father is a sea captain, his mother is a kindergarten teacher. The boy wanted to follow in his father's footsteps and become a sailor, but fate turned out differently. “The dream of becoming an actor appeared when I accidentally ended up in the studio at the Russian Drama Theater in Tallinn. The theater, its atmosphere, people, conversations, behind the scenes, acting on stage, applause - it’s a drug. It’s rare that anyone manages to come out of this story unscathed. Almost everyone from our studio went to enroll, many entered. I was euphoric, I had a goal, and advice and objections could not influence me,” says Kirill.

A year before graduating from school, Kirill went to Moscow, where he tried to enter all theater universities. The first attempt was unsuccessful, but a year later, having arrived again in the capital, Kirill entered the B. Shchukin Theater School (course of M. Panteleeva).

Childhood and youth of the actor

Kirill Kyaro was born into a family far from creativity. My parents had nothing to do with art. Photos of the actor’s family can be easily found online. The only exception was the cousin of the future star, Waldemar Kyaro. However, Kirill met the Honored Artist of Estonia only in the early 2000s, when he himself was already playing in the theater.

The actor’s childhood and youth were very ordinary. He went to school, and during the summer holidays he went to Narva to visit his grandparents. At school, the boy attended the young sailors' club. In the summer there was practice when the guys sailed to the island of Hiiumaa to fish. As a child, Kirill dreamed of becoming a captain, like his father. He could spend a long time looking at ships in the Tallinn Maritime Museum.

In high school, Kyaro began attending the theater studio at the Russian Drama Theater. It was then that he first thought about an acting career. And in my last year I went to enter the Moscow Theater Institute in company with the guys from the studio.

The first attempt to enter VGIK was unsuccessful. He learned the fable poorly and told it without proper expression. The commission advised him to come back next year. Kirill went home and began to prepare diligently, read, and learned by heart. Most of all he liked the poetry of the Silver Age.

In 1993, he finally became a student at the acting department of the Shchukin School. While living in a hostel, he met the now famous Oleg Kassin and Anton Makarsky. Maxim Averin, Olga Budina, and Maria Poroshina also studied on the same course with him.

THEATER

After graduating from the institute, Kirill Kyaro was accepted into the theater troupe under the direction of A. Dzhigarkhanyan. Having worked in the theater until 1999, the actor returned to Tallinn. “It was a difficult time, lack of money, I saw no prospects either in the theater or in my personal life. You can endure a lot if you understand why it is necessary and believe in the result. I needed rest. Time to reboot. When I left, I didn’t know whether I’d come back or not,” the actor recalls.

Kirill met his first wife, the young actress Anastasia Medvedeva, while still a student at the theater school. The young people got married quite quickly, Nastya took her husband’s surname. But a strong marriage did not work out - the family boat crashed into everyday life, and the mother of Kirill’s young wife was not happy with her newly-made son-in-law. Kyaro at that time earned mere pennies; it happened that he disappeared for days at rehearsals.

Returning from Moscow to Tallinn, Kirill met Yulia Duz, who worked in the PR agency of the Russian Theater of Estonia. Julia became a breath of fresh air for the actor and helped him believe in himself again. In recent interviews, he happily talks about his baby, who now lives with her mother and her parents in Tallinn. Despite his busy work schedule, Kirill flies to Estonia at every opportunity to spend time with his adored daughter.

Kirill Kyaro began acting in films in the early 2000s. Fame comes to him after the role of Shtehel’s nephew in Sergei Ursulyak’s series “Liquidation”. An artist to try." Kirill recalls: “When I read the script, I imagined such gloomy pictures in the style of David Fincher, noir, low clouds, pouring rain, eternal twilight. I thought that such a series should be filmed somewhere in the Leningrad region, near Priozersk, but our producers took a different route. And we filmed it in a sunny southern seaside town. This counterpoint worked amazingly in the film! It seems to me that the sunny resort town, which is not conducive to any horrors, intensified everything that happened in the film and made this fascinating story even more interesting.”

"Queen Margo"

In 2020, the Rossiya TV channel will premiere the melodrama “Queen Margot” directed by Sergei Krasnov. The plot centers on the story of successful hairdresser Rita (Evgenia Loza), who is abandoned by her groom on the eve of her wedding. It turns out that this was just the beginning of a dark streak. The owner of the salon (Kirill Kyaro) appoints his longtime friend Anatoly Rodionov (Alexey Zubkov) as manager.
