Julia was born in Tula.
Parents worked as engineers at one of the most prestigious factories in the city. As a child, Zakharova played in the drama club of the city House of Culture. After graduating from high school, she decided to enter the Faculty of Philology. She entered, but she was very bored there, and her parents knew it. When the girl decided to try to enter GITIS, her parents could no longer dissuade her. Julia has a stubborn character; if she wants something, it is impossible to stop her.

Yulia Zakharova became popular after the release of the series Happy Together (trailer). She found it very interesting to study at GITIS, the course was simply unique. There were teachers who believed that their group would have turned out to be an independent theater, since among the fellow students there were all types. There were five future directors on the course.

Yulia Zakharova first appeared on wide screens in 2003. She got a cameo role in the film “Sun or Lost.” The image created by Yulia was practically not remembered by the audience. But the young actress did not despair. She continued to conquer domestic cinema.

All-Russian fame came to Yulia Zakharova after the release of the series “Happy Together” (TNT). The actress successfully got used to the role of Lenochka Stepanova, a neighbor of the Bukin family. Her heroine is a maximalist and a neat person. She, unlike the Bukins, has no financial problems.

After graduating from the academy, she moved to the Gogol Theater. Together with Maria Aronova, the actress played in the production of “Love Potion”, where Yulia got the role of a funny heroine. Yulia Zakharova was born on July 28, 1980 in the city of Tula. The girl grew up in a family of engineers. During her school years, the future actress did not dream of acting on the stage or appearing on screen. Yulia wanted to become an archaeologist. But already in high school I became interested in theater. Therefore, the young student went to the local drama club, which was located in the nearby House of Pioneers.

But the parents instilled in their daughter strong doubts that the stage would certainly wait for a new Tula star. Mom advised her daughter to try herself in some more “down-to-earth” profession. That's what happened at first. After graduating from high school, Yulia entered the Humanitarian University, where she chose philology.

The student studied successfully for several years, but suddenly in her fourth year she realized that she did not want to spend her entire life in her chosen profession. Julia had a decisive character and decided to leave a prestigious university, buy a ticket for the Tula-Moscow train and go to conquer the capital. In Moscow, Zakharova rented a room in a communal apartment and began to “starve out” the famous Russian Institute of Theater Arts. This was possible only after several attempts, but persistent Yulia knows how to achieve her goal.

In the end, Zakharova was accepted on a course with the talented mentor Andrei Goncharov. The girl was in seventh heaven. I studied with great pleasure and felt that I was finally walking the right path towards my desired goal. In 2002, the aspiring actress was awarded a diploma of higher theater education.

For the last two years of the theater university, the student appeared on the stage of the Vladimir Mayakovsky Theater. It was here that the creative biography of Yulia Zakharova began. But soon the artist changed this stage to another, moving to the Nikolai Gogol Theater. Here she participated in several performances, including the productions “Nameless Star” and “Love Potion”. In the latter, the actress plays with her colleague Maria Aronova.

Julia also appeared in wonderful fairy tale performances “Ugly Elsa”, “Someone else’s Child”, “Mistress Blizzard” and “At the Pike’s Command”. She often gets comedy roles, in which she feels very comfortable and organic.

The cinematic biography of Yulia Zakharova began somewhat later than the theatrical biography. She got her first film roles in the sensational serial projects “Balzac's Age” and “Sun or Lost.” But these episodic works did not bring widespread fame.

In 2005, the actress starred in two more television projects: the series “Alka” and the melodrama “Airport”. As it turned out later, the roles played were only a stepping stone to real fame. The star role came in 2006 with the comedy sitcom “Happy Together”. Yulia Zakharova, remembering the golden proverb that water does not flow under a lying stone, “asked for” the role when she heard that the directors were selecting a new cast.

The young actress Zakharova was approved for the role of Lena Poleno earlier than her colleagues Viktor Loginov and Natalya Bochkareva. I had to be torn between the theater and the film set for a long period: filming lasted from 2006 to 2012. But in the end, the comedy film turned Julia into a famous actress.

In mid-March 2020, the fantasy film “Vodyanaia” premiered, in which Zakharova played one of the roles. In the story, two children, brother and sister, come to visit relatives in a remote village. On a dark night, their mother is kidnapped by the Water Witch, a scary witch who lives in the lake. And now the children need to save their mother.

One of the most notable roles that made the actress recognizable was the role of Lena Stepanova. She played this character in the television project “Happy Together”. Personal life, Yulia Zakharova today

Lena loves homemade food. Unfortunately, during filming, she eats “healthy” cholesterol foods throughout the day. In order not to develop the habit of stress eating, the actress does mandatory fasting days. To do this, she drinks only kefir all day, and in the hot season on such days she buys herself mineral water and some fruit.

Julia would not mind trying herself as a host of any author's program. She considers work in the theater to be everyday work, wonderful, but, unfortunately, slavish and poorly paid. Yulia graduated from Tula Classical Gymnasium No. 1, then studied to become a philologist[2], and in 2002 she graduated from the Russian Academy of Theater Arts[3] (course of Andrei Goncharov[2]).

Since 2000, she served at the Mayakovsky Theater[2], and in 2003 she moved to the Gogol Theater[3].

In 2006-2012, she played one of the main roles (Lena Stepanova/Lena Poleno) in the Russian TV series “Happy Together”[2][4][5].
