Julia was born into an ordinary Moscow family, where none of the parents was seriously interested in art. But this circumstance did not stop the girl from dreaming about the theater stage and filming.

Flattered, Yulia, however, did not go into the modeling business, but diligently sat down to her lessons. Even then she understood that she could not conquer the public with her appearance alone.

Yulia Podozerova: “In two months I lost 12 kg”

Photo: from the personal archive of Yulia Podozerova In our traditional column about beauty secrets, the star of the series “Psychologists” on STS spoke about her ability to eat and lose weight, about oatmeal, which she uses unconventionally, and about the reasons why she does not like to watch films with her participation.

— Julia, have you always been in such great shape?

— No, after giving birth I was “bigger.” Now my weight is 50 kilograms, and after the birth of my son it was 62. That’s a lot for my height of 164 centimeters. I breastfed for a long time and allowed myself to eat too much. I had to urgently take charge of myself and lose weight! Moreover, my agent, looking at me, sadly said: “We probably won’t film you anymore.” I was in a panic and set a goal for myself: to get rid of 12 kilograms in two months. I went to the gym and very strictly limited my diet.

At six in the evening I had my last meal - only a glass of kefir. I ate five times a day, and each serving was only 250 grams. In the first week I weighed the portion, and then by eye. I believe that you need to eat everything, the only question is at what time and in what volume.

For example, I allowed myself chocolate only until 12 noon. Well, I tried to separate carbohydrates and proteins: I ate meat separately, rice or buckwheat separately. I went to the gym three times a week and worked out with a trainer. Previously, I only danced; unfortunately, I was not taught sports as a child. Therefore, during the first month in the gym, I adapted. As a result, I decided to introduce my son to sports from an early age. At the age of four I sent him to football. There was also cardio training, but not on machines: I just walked to the fitness center on foot at a brisk pace. I also developed a system for myself: to cleanse the body once every six months. Now in pharmacies there is a large assortment of dietary supplements that help cleanse the intestines, liver, and kidneys. That's what I use.

—Are you giving them a course?

— Yes, I alternate diets: I eat as usual for six months, then for two months I fast with the use of dietary supplements. I exclude sweets, flour and milk. It's not easy, but the result is amazing. I limit myself to four months a year, but then I can calmly eat a piece of cake at night - and I won’t get anything for it. Some women, after eating a cake in the evening, work hard to work off extra calories in the gym the next morning. But I don't need it. By the way, I’m not obsessed with food at all; sometimes I can forget about it and go hungry all day. Food is important to me only to maintain vitality. And when you eat a little, your body requires a little.
