Childhood and youth
Yulia Minakovskaya (nee Reshetnikova) was born on February 23, 1986 in Tula. The girl’s mother is a veterinarian, and her father once had a business manufacturing and selling furniture.
Yulia Minakovskaya in childhood
In her hometown, the girl graduated from the College of Arts. A.S. Dargomyzhsky, where she mastered playing the piano and musical literacy. Then Yulia moved to Moscow and tried to enter the Shchukin Theater School, but failed the exams. Then Minakovskaya submitted documents to the Moscow State University of Culture and Arts, where she studied in the workshop of N.V. Polyakov, and at the same time took private lessons at the Vakhtangov Theater.
Plastic surgery
You cannot find photos of Yulia before and after plastic surgery in glossy magazines, the Internet and other sources of information. The presenter looks great for her age and has never had plastic surgery. Nature gave her tall stature, slender legs and figure, beautiful expressive eyes and a beautifully delivered voice. Julia has an excellent sense of style; fans often see a radiant smile on her face. If a woman decides to have plastic surgery, it will happen only after she turns sixty.
Mikhalkova now argues that at any age it is necessary to maintain natural beauty, trying to do without plastic surgery. The main thing is to lead a healthy lifestyle and completely give up vodka, rum, whiskey and other alcoholic drinks.
On New Year's Eve 2020, the artist headed the “New Year's Dress from Yulia Mikhalkova” campaign, which was organized for girls from an orphanage. The show's participants had the good fortune to look at the world of fashion from the inside out. The young models made their own dresses and then demonstrated them on their own.
Yulia personally supervised the walk of her charges along the catwalk. The show was attended by cadets of the school named after. Suvorov from Yekaterinburg, as well as representatives of show business: Vika Tsyganova, Stas Mikhailov, Andrey Rozhkov, Maxim Yaritsa and other famous people.
Movie
In 2007, Yulia made her film debut, and immediately with the famous director Andrei Konchalovsky - the young actress starred as a secretary in the tragicomedy “Gloss” along with the stars of Russian cinema Alexander Domogarov, Irina Rozanova, and the Arntgolts sisters.

About how I ended up in “Ural Dumplings”
Since childhood, I really wanted to become an artist. She lived in Verkhnyaya Pyshma and dreamed: “It’s so good to be on stage. Wonderful life, they give you all the gifts!” At school, teachers praised me very much for my artistry and expressive reading of poetry. After school, I submitted my documents to the theater school, but was not confident in myself, was modest and did not apply: I was afraid of the big competition. I entered the pedagogical institute, the philological department. Thank God, KVN appeared in my life! The head of the group of authors of “Ural Dumplings” Sergei Ershov organized the women’s team of the USPU, I came to the casting, they took me. “Ural Dumplings” in Yekaterinburg periodically did their own shows and invited me to some roles. Then they decided that they needed a girl as a permanent acting unit: they held a casting, but in the end they didn’t hire anyone from the outside. Some people overact, others don’t look very good on stage with them. So I stayed at Ural Dumplings.
About KVN
KVN has changed my life a lot: the most important thing is that now I constantly laugh at everything, not even just laugh, I laugh! I can't take anything seriously anymore. It seems to me that all KVN players have this distinctive feature: to love everything. Here's a case: I bought myself a beautiful pendant in the Indian style, proudly put it on, and came to the rehearsal with it. I brag: here, I say, look, guys, what a beauty! Everyone laughs: “Oh, what kind of floor lamp do you have? Or is it a censer? Should I put a candle here?”
About the men's team
I feel incredibly good among them. All the participants of “Ural Dumplings” are my good comrades. Even more - brothers. My childhood dream came true - to have many brothers! The team is a great strength, and I perceive it as my protection. We have no division into girls and boys - we are a team, one whole.
Once while on tour we went to a disco. The guys say: “Oh, Yulka, everyone looks at you like that, they want to meet you!” I was even surprised that someone was paying attention to me! I'm used to having my own guys around. It would seem that we are constantly together, we must get tired of each other, but we are going on a long-awaited vacation in a crowd - all with our significant other. My boyfriend is a serious man, a deputy, but with a sense of humor. He gets along great with the guys on the team, so we have a lot of fun.
Guys constantly make fun of my purchases. You see, I'm a terrible shopaholic! I’ll buy a bunch of clothes, and then I’ll sit on the sofa in a robe, look at the closet and think: “Why do I need all this?!” Guys criticize me: “You’re such a clothes maker!” Although they look in the mirror more than I do! They spend two hours preparing to go on stage and vying with each other to attack the make-up artist: “Katenka, make me sexy!”, “Katya, no! I should be the sexy one!” I’ll buy a fashionable dress, dress up, and naturally expect compliments. But instead I hear: “Julia, how can you walk like that!”, “Why are you dressed up like that?”, “Why are you so thin?”, “Why are you so fat?” In general, there are eight of them and everyone has their own opinion!
About the process of preparing the concert
First, the guys gather in groups of two or three and come up with numbers. And then there is the so-called reading: everyone presents what they have written, edits and lines up the numbers one after another. And then – rehearsal.
Actually, we take our work seriously. But it was precisely from all the hee-hees and ha-has, from behind-the-scenes jokes, from that very wave, from this “Let’s do this!” Let’s do it like this!” Our concerts are born from seemingly unrelated things.
At the Yekaterinburg hall we are testing new jokes. True, sometimes what is funny to some viewers will not make others laugh. Even in our city, the halls are different for two days in a row. After the first concert, as a rule, we already notice: “Yeah, here we need to pause to laugh, here the audience also reacted.” And the next day it doesn’t happen again, and the audience laughs the most at other numbers.
About popularity
I can't say that I don't like being popular. I also like to give autographs. People recognize me on the streets, and our team has a good image. Our viewers are very intelligent. It's funny, but not everyone knows that we are from Yekaterinburg. I recently came to the local market (I usually go there for potatoes and meat), and they asked me: “Yulia, what is the fate of us in Yekaterinburg?” And we live here all our lives...
About other participants of “Ural Dumplings”
“Ural dumplings,” like all men, are always in search. They always need something new! It’s like, you know, a husband lives with his wife for 100 years, but looks at other people’s girls. A huge number of women auditioned for us, I’ve already been through so many women! Even the most scary! But I’m the only one left on the team, so I think: they probably really love me after all!
About personal life
It happened somehow by itself. I was very interested in party activities; since childhood I have dreamed of becoming the Minister of Culture. At one of the party meetings I met Igor. He turned out to be from the opposite party. I didn’t even notice how we started a relationship, then I didn’t notice how I moved in with him...
Igor goes to Ural Dumplings concerts and sometimes flies with us to Moscow. He is on a business trip, and the team is on tour. Igor is involved in politics and can plan his work so that we are separated from him as little as possible.
I strive to ensure that there is harmony between my personal life and work. Yes, I couldn’t sit at home: I like to live at high speeds. But after rehearsals I rush home so that I can be home when my beloved man arrives. Now there is no need to waste time on household chores, we have an assistant, and we spend our free time on each other. But I do everything quickly myself, in five minutes, once – and I’ll fry the cutlets. I just love cutlets. Two and I’ll cook porridge! I love baking pies. I cook well and I like it. Sometimes I even think: wow, what a talent I am! Igor, however, sometimes complains that I feed him and he gets fat!
About jealousy
I never give reasons to be jealous. Of course, I am a woman and I can make my beloved boil with jealousy, but I am not going to do that. Igor is an accomplished person, he has something to do other than control my every step and look for reasons for jealousy. He is confident in himself - such people are not jealous. He's calm, but that's the calm of a lion that doesn't need to roar to prove who's boss.
About love
It is important for me that it simply always exists - without love it is impossible to live together with any person. For me, if there is no love, then there is no relationship. I am an emotional person, I live by feelings. It is very important for me to love. Love work. Love the car. Even a phone number! Even a handbag! If there are no feelings, there is nothing. I couldn't work if I didn't love my job. Now I simply adore my job, I also like the fact that thanks to what I love, I can live the way I love, for example, buying beautiful things. I feel good. At the moment I'm happy.
About parents
I am grateful to my mother, grandparents - for the fact that they loved me very much, tried for me and allowed me everything. They never insisted on their opinion. My mother is a trade worker. When I dreamed of a theater institute, she didn’t quite understand me, she said that it was better for me to go to a trade college so that later I could have my own kiosk, but still she didn’t forbid me to do what I wanted. Although sometimes my mother and grandmother make fun of me, they say, who, they say, are you so impudent, you keep interfering somewhere, we are modest people. And it’s true: they are modest and highly decent people. They don’t complain about their small salaries and pensions, but so what, they say, we have enough. They even offer me help, they say: “Yulia, do you need some money?” “Of course,” I laugh. “Mom, we need five million!”
About children
To be honest, I like my current dynamic life so much that I have no intention of giving up creative activity or leaving the stage for some time. It’s too early to think about children, in my opinion. A few years will pass and you will see me in the role of mommy.
About a possible move to Moscow
No, I like it in Yekaterinburg. Our shops and restaurants are the same, but that’s not the main thing. I have friends, family and a great job in Yekaterinburg. So there is no need to live in Moscow yet.
About a bad mood
I'm rarely in a bad mood. But my teammates don’t let me feel particularly sad – they turn everything into a joke. They are rarely serious at all. And we have no time to be sad. I’ll come to brag about my purchase, and they’ll say: “Yulia, you’re crazy! My roof costs so much, and you bought yourself a ring.” But I'm a girl! I don't need to build a house.
About free time
I really like to stay at home and watch TV. I like to chat with my girlfriends. And I really love coming to visit my mother and grandmother. But I have almost no free time, because when I have little to do, it's just a disaster. I like it when I always have no time, I like it when I have to get to a hundred places and do a thousand things - only then I feel good!
About shooting in a men's magazine
I still don't understand why I needed this. I'm just very persuasive. (Laughs.) I spend most of my time in Yekaterinburg, where show business is not as rapidly developed as in the capital. And sometimes I want to plunge into this world of metropolitan glitz and glamor, look through fashion magazines. The guys, of course, repeatedly said that I had no use for it. But I made up my mind!
About plastic surgery and “beauty injections”
Nothing like this. It’s just that my body parts look bigger on camera, which is why these conversations started. In principle, I have nothing against it. This is every woman's business. But personally, I’m not going to resort to such procedures yet. Early!
About beauty
In my opinion, the key to a great mood and beauty is a healthy rest. Unfortunately, I don’t often get enough sleep due to touring and a busy concert schedule. However, when I have a free day, I happily spend it on the couch watching TV. I relax and gain strength for further achievements. And I advise all women to sleep more, eat fruits and vegetables and lead an active lifestyle.
About life principles
Don't lie to yourself. Don't go against yourself, never do something you don't like. Do not live without love, do not work without love. And don’t take life too seriously – life is easy!
“Ural dumplings” about Yulia
Dmitry Sokolov:
Julia we have our own boyfriend. That’s what we call her: Mikhalych!
Andrey Rozhkov:
At first, of course, we mistook her for her beauty, but then it turned out that she belonged on the board. Yulia is a very charming, sociable, sociable girl, so she easily joined the team. She constantly gives us advice: “Andrey, you need to throw out this stupid tie, put on a bow tie!” Or: “What kind of suit? Buy yourself a Louis Vuitton and a branded bag - you’ll be cool!” So we were lucky with Yulka, just as she was lucky with us.”
Dmitry Brekotkin:
Once they asked her for advice on what to give their wives on March 8th. You know, if you listen to her advice, you’ll go broke right away! You ask her: “How much is your handbag?” She: “Inexpensive!” And he names figures that I would consider spending on a car! In general, Julia is like a medal for us, which we carry with pride and trepidation!

In recent years, the actress's position regarding her theatrical experience has changed. She decided to stay at the “Electrotheater” with director Boris Yukhananov
However, the actress is not going to give up her side projects, including the immersive (that is, with complete immersion in what is happening) play “Touch the Sun” (dir. Boris Fish) for visually impaired people. Spectators with good eyesight are blindfolded during the performance. As a result, all information comes to them through hearing and touch. “This is not just giggling and hawing, this is a noble cause,” says Yulia.
