Chasing a dream
Lena was born in the Siberian city of Kurgan into a family of ordinary workers, far from the world of great art. The girl's father worked as a driver, and her mother baked bread. From an early age, the girl showed interest in music, and her parents enrolled her in a music school, and then in a vocal studio.
Lena not only diligently attended classes, but also participated in various music competitions. In the secondary school, not a single festive event was complete without Temnikova. Despite her explosive nature, Lena coped well with the exact sciences and loved mathematics. In addition to all these activities, the girl also attended a karate section, and at home she knitted and embroidered.
The girl’s love for music did not disappear even after moving to Omsk , where her parents moved for permanent residence. However, having received a certificate of secondary education, Elena decided to enter the theater institute. And not to the one closest to home, but to one of the capital ones.
The girl arrived in Belokamennaya in advance to get used to the new place and take a closer look at famous theater schools (she was choosing between the Moscow Art Theater School and GITIS). But in the capital, Temnikova unexpectedly changed her plans for her relatives. Having seen a poster with an invitation to participate in the television project “Star Factory-2,” Elena went to the casting and became one of the participants in the television show . She was not a statistician, taking 3rd place among all participants (only Polina Gagarina and Elena Terleeva beat the young Siberian).
Some facts from the biography
Elena Temnikova was born in the small Russian city of Kurgan on April 18, 1985. Mom is a baker, father is a driver. From an early age, the girl began to be interested in music. She also went to karate training.
Lena began performing on stage at the age of ten. Thanks to her talent, she has repeatedly won regional and all-Russian music competitions.
After another victory in 2020, Temnikova decided that she could realize herself in Moscow and went to the capital.
She planned to take entrance exams to a university in order to further study at the PR department. However, her plans changed greatly when she learned about the casting for the TV project “Star Factory”. She managed to conquer the strict jury and be among the participants in the show.
Light and dark sides of “Silver”
After the end of the second season of “Star Factory,” Temnikova recorded two songs in the studio, but in the future she did not see any prospects for herself in a solo career. A gift from heaven in 2006 for the aspiring singer was an invitation from producer Maxim Fadeev to join the new women’s group “Silver”.
Other members of the new team were Marina Lizorkina and Olga Serebriakina. In 2007, the group, little known to the domestic public, participated in the Eurovision Song Contest and, disgracing many skeptics, took 3rd place. After European success, the singers gained popularity in their native country.
The songs “Breathe”, “Song No. 1”, “Opium” instantly became hits, and after the release of the video “Mama Lyuba” the girls gained mega popularity.
In the shortest possible time, the video was watched by more than a million viewers, and the English version of the song firmly established itself at the top of the charts in Belgium, Spain and Italy. Each new single from “Silver” became a hit, and by 2014 the group starred in 15 video clips. The team toured successfully, and its members acquired the status of stars of domestic show business.
In parallel with her performances on stage, Temnikova tried herself as a TV presenter - she hosted the television show “Love Actually.” In 2014, the singer decided to leave Silver. As Elena explained, she did not like the new concept of the group - the emphasis on eroticism and explicit scenes. Despite the fact that the singer was recognized as the sexiest soloist, Temnikova did not want to dominate in this role.
According to the singer, in order to finally leave the team, she had to pay a penalty to the producer.
The singer does not disclose the amount, but according to rumors it consists of one and six zeros. Temnikova prefers not to communicate with Fadeev, Lizorkina and Serebryakina.
After leaving the group, Elena became involved in charity work, developed her design skills and presented a number of women's accessories. Having rested a little, the singer decided to build a solo career - she recorded the song “Addiction”, and after it in 2015 she pleased her fans with the tracks “Let’s fly away”, “Towards”, “Probably”.
In the summer of 2020, Elena Temnikova came to the radio, becoming the host of the “Couple for Rent” project. Then she took part in the show “Exactly”. In parallel with her work on the radio, the singer continued to record musical compositions. In 2020, Temnikova presented fans with her first solo disc.
Currently, Elena Temnikova remains a popular and sought-after singer. She successfully tours and records new compositions (“Naked”, “Breathe”, “Let’s Fly Away”, “Don’t Blame Me”, “Spiked”). In 2020, Temnikova’s new hit, “Not Fashionable,” was released ; the video for the song was shot in vertical video format. In addition to Elena, famous bloggers starred in it: Nastya Ivleeva and Masha Minogarova.

On February 14, 2014, the singer announced that on December 3, 2014, her contract with the production center of Maxim Fadeev was ending, after which she would leave the Serebro group. One version of the departure was an affair with composer Artyom Fadeev, the brother of producer Maxim Fadeev, who forced Lena to refuse further work in the group. On May 15, 2014, Temnikova actually left the group. Officially stated that for health reasons. She was first replaced in the group by ex-participant Anastasia Karpova, and then by former participant in the show “Vacations in Mexico” Polina Favorskaya
