Who is Mark Zuckerberg: the success story of the world's youngest multimillionaire

Mark's childhood

Mark Zuckerberg was born in one of the largest cities in the world - New York. The boy grew up in a large family: in addition to his mother, who was a psychiatrist, and his father, who worked as a dentist, he was surrounded by three sisters as a child. He became involved with technological progress already while studying in elementary school and was fascinated by programming. He was able to devote as much time as possible to his main hobby after the appearance of the first computer - this happened when he was a sixth grader. Soon he managed to independently create a computer game, and then an entire program for recognizing the musical tastes and preferences of listeners.

Microsoft offered Mark $2 million for this invention, but the young man refused the reward. In addition to programming, Zuckerberg managed to practice fencing and master ancient languages, in which he showed serious interest. Mark received his higher education at the prestigious Harvard, where he entered in 2002.

In May 2020, the Fucc the Zucc page appeared on Facebook with photoshopped images and memes ridiculing Mark Zuckerberg. It was at the suggestion of this public that the word Zucc took root and is Mark’s online nickname.

In October 2020, during a live Q&A, Zuckerberg learned about his nickname.

Facebook founder career

During his years at the university, Mark gained serious popularity due to a random idea - he created a website on which he posted photographs of Harvard students and made it possible to vote for those he liked. In a matter of hours, the number of visitors to the site increased by hundreds, and soon among the registered users there were not only students from Harvard, but also Stanford and Yale. This is how the prototype of the world famous social network Facebook emerged, which was launched on February 4, 2004.

However, Mark also had ill-wishers, they were Divya Naredra and the Winklevoss twins, who initially put forward ideas to the university leadership about the possibility of additional communication between Harvard students. Zuckerberg was supposed to be involved in programming the future site, but it was never possible to implement the idea with such a composition. Therefore, after the creation of Facebook, Mark was accused of stealing other people's plans, but he categorically denied this, because the ideas about the social network were vague and unclear. Only he himself managed to put them into practice in the right way.

For further development of the project, which was not long in coming, Zuckerberg needed additional financial investments. We managed to get them again completely by accident - the famous programmer Sean Parker introduced Mark to successful businessman Peter Thiels, who decided to invest $500 thousand in Facebook. From then on, Mark began to focus exclusively on his social network and improve it; he even quit studying at Harvard for this. The success of Facebook after Thiels' help was obvious: already in the year of its creation it counted more than 1 million people as users. Zuckerberg earned $1.5 billion from this popular site, making him the youngest billionaire in human history.

In 2010, Mark became “person of 2010” according to the American magazine Time.

Creation of Facebook

In 2004, using the CourseMatch (Facematch) program and with the help of classmates Chris Hughes and Dustin Moskowitz, Mark created a communication masterpiece that expanded the ability of students to communicate over the local network. In just seven days, the guys created a new website and called this masterpiece Facebook. Within a few days of its launch, on February 4, students from Boston, New York and Massachusetts managed to join the site.

First version of Facebook

6 days after the launch of Facebook, three Harvard students - Cameron Winklevoss, Tyler Winklevoss and Divya Narenda - accused Mark of stealing the ideas on which Facebook was created and went to court, but they failed to become shareholders or co-owners.

Despite numerous obstacles and accusations against Zuckerberg, Facebook began to actively develop. Zuckerberg's classmate, Brazilian Eduardo Saverin, became the financial director of the project, and Sean Parker, a well-known person in the American IT business, became the president. It was he who attracted entrepreneurs Peter Thiel and Reed Hoffman to Mark’s brainchild, who invested money in the promising project.

Only in the spring of 2020 did Zuckerberg finally receive the coveted Harvard diploma and an honorary Doctor of Law degree. His happy parents and wife congratulated him.

In 2004, Mark Zuckerberg, like the entire “office,” moved to Palo Alto, the center of Silicon Valley, registered his brainchild as a legal entity and became CEO of Facebook Inc. In 2005, both Sean Parker and Eduardo Saverin left the company. At the same time, Zuckerberg removed the article “the” from the website address.

Personal life of Mark Zuckerberg

He spends most of his time working on Facebook. But romantic relationships are also present in his life - since 2002, he dated Priscilla Chan, whom he met while studying at Harvard. On May 19, 2012, Mark took his beloved as his wife.

They managed to surprise everyone they knew with their decision to get married and first announced to their loved ones that they were going to celebrate Priscilla receiving her doctorate in medicine. As soon as the guests arrived at their house, it was announced to them that in fact a wedding would take place here.

Zuckerbot

Mark Zuckerberg often behaves strangely in public. He is lost, embarrassed and does not know how to behave in front of the cameras. Because of this, a theory has emerged that Mark is not actually a person, but a robot. Perhaps even alien.

First of all, this theory appeared after a 2020 video about a smart home in which Zuckerberg eats bread in a very strange way.

“This is bread, Lord Zukk.

— Do people like to eat this bread?

- For sure.

“Then I will enjoy it too.”

In 2020, Mark appeared before the Senate in connection with charges of leaking the data of millions of users, which could be used to place targeted advertising and influence the results of the US presidential election. Many people noticed that Zuckerberg behaved very strangely.

The founder of Facebook had a glassy look and a slightly wooden facial expression. As a result, a new batch of jokes about Zuckerbot appeared.

“Mark Zuckerbot awaiting activation.”

“What do they see vs. what he sees.”

Within three years, Zuckerberg becomes financially independent. In 2007, Mark first sold just over one and a half percent of Facebook shares to Microsoft for two hundred and forty million dollars. The scale of the company gradually increased, so in 2008 Mark founded the international headquarters of Facebook Inc. in Dublin.

In 2009, Zuckerberg sold approximately 2% of the shares of his company to the Russian holding Mail.ru Group for two hundred million dollars. This happened after Mark’s personal acquaintance with his co-owner Yuri Milner. Following this, other large corporations bought shares. Facebook's commercially successful deals and growing popularity made Zuckerberg the Times Person of the Year in 2010.

Even in her school years, Priscilla Chan was distinguished by her intelligence and erudition. Thanks to this, it was easy for her to enter the most prestigious university in the country - Harvard. Here she met her future husband.

Thicc Zuckerberg

In April 2020, after his speech in the Senate, memes with Zuckerberg flooded social networks and the Reddit website. This led to the emergence of the stubborn meme Thicc Mark Zuckerberg - they began to make photoshops from Mark’s photographs, giving his body distinctly feminine contours.

The founder of Facebook was turned into a fat woman. The name of the meme refers to another meme – Extra Thicc from the animated series “Samurai Jack”.

The admin of the Squirters Anonymous Facebook page, Carla Contino, started making photos of fat Zuckerberg. He said that he was inspired by memes about skinny Mariah Carey.
