Childhood years are wonderful
The only child in the family, Seryozha was born in the sixty-sixth year of the last century on the now festive day of November 4th in one of the Moscow maternity hospitals. The boy's parents were very young. Mom, Galina, like grandmother, worked as a bibliographer, dad, Vyacheslav, worked at a factory. Youth, inexperience and ardor did not allow Galina and Vyacheslav to go through the hardships of family life and raising a child, preserving their love. When Seryozha was three years old, his parents separated. The baby stayed with his mother and grandmother.
As Sergei himself later recalled, his childhood period became for him a time of freedom, carefree street freedom, spent on the roofs and in the courtyards of his native quarter. However, the future artist found an opportunity to engage in music, which appeared in his life quite suddenly - the year Seryozha turned five years old. It’s just that representatives of the Moscow choir came to the kindergarten where little Trofimov went to select the kids. An audition was arranged - that’s how Sergei got there.
Childhood and youth
Sergey was born on November 4, 1966 in Moscow. The marriage of the parents of Galina Fedorovna and Vyacheslav Vladimirovich was early; due to inexperience, the young people were unable to maintain the relationship and divorced 3 years after the birth of their son. The mother took full responsibility for raising the child. In addition to primary school, the boy was sent to music school, where Sergei achieved good results.

In 1973, Trofimov became a choir member of the Moscow State Chapel at the Gnessin School. After receiving a diploma of secondary education, Sergei enters the Institute of Culture, and then the Moscow State Conservatory, majoring in theory and composition. As a university student, Sergei participates in the XII World Festival of Youth and Students, which took place in 1985 in the capital of the USSR, where he receives a diploma.

Teachers considered Sergei a young talent; they saw in him a talent from God and a craving for music. Sergei really loved choosing music on the piano, which he knew how to play very well. He liked “serious” classical music, and everyone who knew him predicted that he would become a classical musician. Perhaps this would have happened, but, as always happens, a fatal circumstance prevented it.
At thirteen or fourteen years old, Seryozha was in a summer camp. At this age, boys love to “show off” in front of girls, and young Trofimov was by no means an exception. Wanting to amaze the girls with his dexterity and courage, he climbed a tall tree and, unable to resist, fell from a twelve-meter height, breaking both arms. As the singer himself later recalled, doctors collected his hands “piece by piece.” The injury was so serious, the recovery so long that it seemed that music could be forgotten. But the melodies were replaced by words. Sergei began to write poetry. Thus, a new page opened in the biography of Sergei Trofimov.

First steps
In the mid-eighties, as you can learn from the biography of Sergei Trofimov, he had his own group, with which he played in various clubs and palaces of culture. The guys performed in a style that Trofimov described as “art rock”. The young musicians even received fees for their performances, and then even managed to become laureates of one of the youth festivals. It was then that Sergei met the aspiring singer Svetlana Vladimirskaya. Soon after this, Sergei wrote a song for Svetlana, and then recorded her album, which became the debut for the artist.
Spiritual path
And then ninety-one came. The year of the collapse of the Union, when suddenly, in an instant, all the previous familiar and understandable life changed. For many, this became a stress that everyone dealt with as best they could. Sergei also felt the need for change in himself. And he went to church and became a singer.
Sergei spent two years in the church. He lived according to the rules, did not give concerts, and thought about becoming a monk altogether. His spiritual mentor, Father Nikolai, dissuaded him from this step, saying that Trofimov’s destiny was to be a musician. As the singer himself later said, he left the church in a bright mood - he was ready to return to show business again, despite the fact that this would require starting all over again.

Second chance
In 1994, as follows from the biography of Sergei Trofimov, two fateful meetings took place. The first is with Alexander Ivanov, the leader of the Rondo group, and the second is with Stepan Razin, the husband of singer Carolina. They turned out to be fateful because Ivanov really liked the songs that Sergei wrote - he sang most of them, releasing the album “The Sorrow of a Sinful Soul.” As for Razin, it was he who suggested that Sergei Trofimov start singing himself, recording those songs that Ivanov “rejected”. That’s how a singer named Trofim appeared with his debut disc under the original title “Aristocracy of the Garbage Garbage”.
The novice performer's attempt at writing turned out to be a little different, unlike the songs that the artist later began to write. Now he is known to listeners as a lyricist, but then, in the late nineties, more of a chansonnier with rollicking motives and simple lyrics appeared before viewers and listeners. This Trofimov was not very fond of back then. His texts contained many seditious statements, with which the road to big show business and television was closed. So after some time, as reported in Sergei Trofimov’s personal biography, the artist began to produce new music: compositions that were already strikingly different in style from the original ones. Twenty first century
In the new century, Trofimov works tirelessly. Musician Trofim was married twice. There is not much information about the first wife in the biography of Sergei Trofimov. She became a girl named Natalya. They met and got married very young, both barely twenty. In 1988—Sergei was twenty-two years old at the time—the couple had a daughter, Anya.
