School years

Unlike most military children, Sergei was not subject to strict control. He studied reluctantly, often got carried away by something and just as quickly lost interest in the new hobby. One day I decided to take up music and attended music school for several weeks. However, scales and etudes quickly became boring. The only passion that did not leave Sergei throughout his school years was acting. The future artist parodied his classmates, teachers, and acquaintances. In high school he became one of the active participants in amateur performances.

Student years

After graduating from school, Sergei Ugryumov decided to enter a theater university. Although my parents were not delighted with this decision, they did not dissuade me. Sergei went to Kazan to enroll in drama school. What was the reason for choosing the university? Perhaps Sergei had a provincial complex. Or maybe he decided to take the path of least resistance. One way or another, the future celebrity was enrolled in the first year of the Kazan Theater School. And only a year later, Sergei realized that the capital’s university was also within his capabilities.

However, he failed to do so the first time. He submitted documents to all theater and film universities in Moscow. It failed miserably. But he didn’t despair. The next year, after painstaking preparation, he managed to take the first peak in his creative ascent. The name Sergei Ugryumov was on the list of students at the Moscow Art Theater School.

Admission to the University

If, as Stanislavsky used to say, theater begins with a coat rack, then the profession of an actor quite logically and naturally begins with a theater university. Of course, the parents were not particularly delighted with this choice, but they did not dissuade their son.

To enter a higher educational institution, Ugryumov went to Kazan.

This choice is now difficult to explain, realizing that the capital is still a good start for a career. The choice of educational institution , apparently, was motivated by the following:

Following the path of least resistance. He believed that it was not so important where to study, the main thing was to become an actor. Very soon he realized that he had made too hasty a decision.
Perhaps, at first, entering a university in the capital seemed like an impossible mission to him, and he decided to clear the lower bar for now.
The reason was provincial complexes.

No matter how you guess, he still entered the Kazan Theater School. Now he already had great confidence in his abilities, and he is applying to all similar universities in Moscow.

However, everything turned out to be not so simple - Sergei Ugryumov did not implement his idea on the first try, since he was expected to fail in all educational institutions. But, like a true fighter, he did not fall into despair and did not suffer prolonged depression.

Theater

After graduating from university, Sergei Ugryumov was accepted into the Tabakov Theater Studio. It is worth saying that Oleg Pavlovich was and remains an undeniable authority for the actor. The great teacher and director also influenced the worldview of the young artist. For Tabakov, family values have always come first. In a sense, he influences not only the professional growth of his students, but also the formation of their priorities.

If you are talking about Seryozha Bezrukov, then it’s easy with him. He is my classmate and there have never been any problems. In our profession, almost everything depends on luck. Happiness is found in those who find themselves at the right time, at the right moment, but many may not even wait for their “lottery ticket.” Seryozha got “Dolls” on NTV, then “Brigada”. There was also a play “Psycho” in our theater, Andrei Zhitinkin staged it especially for Bezrukov. In his career, all the puzzles fit together. But Seryoga is so hardworking that even without these jobs, I think he would have succeeded. — I know that Tabakov has favorites and you are one of them. — I am grateful to Oleg Pavlovich for a lot. Ten years ago he gave me an apartment in Chertanovo. Not free, but not commercially priced either. From home to the theater it takes an hour by metro.

- It is known that people in theaters are envious... - But this is not the case in offices?! There is a huge competition at the theater university; they choose the most emotional ones. If you are not like that, if you don’t know how to spend money, you have nothing to do in this profession. I and all of us artists are special forces on the mental front, we were trained to go on stage every evening. — So you have a lot of friends in the theater? - I have no friends, I am a loner by nature. — Do you believe in friendship between a man and a woman? — Not really, but among my friends there are guys who are friends with girls. Sasha Domogarov said that he is friends with his ex-wife Irina (they say that they recently got back together and live like a family. - Ya. G.). When her mother got sick, he was incredibly worried. I saw it with my own eyes! — Many are amazed that you married an actress at the age of 18 and are still happy with her. A unique case. — We met at the Kazan Theater, where we both studied. Then Galya went to Moscow and entered the Moscow Art Theater School. I also arrived there soon, but I studied a year younger. Now we have two sons - 13-year-old Andrei and four-year-old Sergei. The eldest was named after Andrei Mironov - the child stirred in his wife’s stomach when his concert was shown on TV. I am happy when Andrei says that he wants to go to Baumanka, he is a good student, studying German. He plays golf.

— Your wife, as I understand it, left acting for the sake of her family? — Galya works with children, speaking with students, and previously worked on television. Did you take it easy when you decided to become an artist? “Dad hoped that I would go to military school, but he was wise enough to understand me. On the third attempt, I entered a Moscow university. And even that was due to the fact that there was additional recruitment. After passing the competition, eight people immediately failed to pass general education subjects, that is, after writing the essay, they were expelled - this then caused a lot of noise. I was given a C-minus for my essay, and the teachers saw that I was blatantly cheating. But within a year I earned my credit and moved up to the rank of excellent students.

How Mashkov saved Mironov from death

— In “Truckers” you starred with Vlad Galkin. What was he like? “It’s hard for me to judge him—after this work we only crossed paths once.” Even those closest to him cannot say what destroyed him. A fatal coincidence of circumstances. I am a fatalist, I believe in fate. — How do you like Volodya Mashkov? I think you can tell me a lot about him, since you’ve known each other since your student days? — He has incredible charisma. A man of fantastic proportions. There is a sea of love, energy, and humor in him. These qualities are valued by both men and women, regardless of profession. Vova is demanding of both others and himself; he can lose weight or gain weight for a role. Currently filming Rasputin. I was told that once the make-up artists started working magic on him during the early shift, and Mashkov fell asleep in the process. And when he opened his eyes, he was wildly upset: “I didn’t sleep at night and caused bruises under my eyes. And you covered them up for me, girls. — Mashkov lost several interesting roles because he directs all his energy to Hollywood. “He fights, he wants to break stereotypes. But Vova was unlucky. If he had been born at least in Italy, maybe he would have had a better chance of succeeding in America. It's easier for girls. A bad trail trails behind the Russians: the “evil empire” was more associated with men. Thieves, KGB officers - they take our people to play these roles. I don’t have the same ambition as Vova - I won’t waste time, it goes away quickly. My chimney is lower and the smoke is thinner than Mashkov’s. — What is your relationship with the “green serpent”? - None. Since childhood, there have been people in front of me who suffered from this. They don’t drink out of great intelligence... In this state I completely lose control over myself, it doesn’t bring me any pleasure. —Are you an expensive actor? - Not expensive. For me, the most important thing is the creative component, and only then the financial one. — Why don’t you participate in entertaining TV shows? Not invited? “They’re inviting me, but who’s interested in watching me not know how to skate?” This is not a piece of art. Marat Basharov skates well, and he obviously has something to say.

- Do you like to travel? - No. Sergei Puskepalis, as soon as he finds himself in another country, immediately prescribes a plan of action for himself: where and when to go and what to see. I study everything that is included in the package; I don’t need the rest. I am close to the position of those Japanese who travel without leaving home. There I miss home all the time, I want to go back as soon as possible. — I dare say that shopping is not for you either! — Shopping is murder. I'm not a fashionista, I like comfortable things. I buy everything on occasion, if I come across an item. And so I can walk around in the same thing until the thing is completely torn. I get attached to things. And not because I’m a miser. Other roles

In 2011, eight new works appeared in the filmography of Sergei Ugryumov. He played an officer in the film “Burnt by the Sun 2”, a sorcerer in the film “The Dark World”, captain Pimezov in the series “Isaev”, and twice a law enforcement officer in different films. And three years later, viewers saw this actor in an unexpected way. Namely, in the role of Alexander Kerensky.

His hero in the series “Gregory R.” appears only a few times. But he is perhaps the main character in the plot. Kerensky calls the best investigator in Moscow for a secret conversation and gives him an assignment. Heinrich Switten must find out who Rasputin was. Or rather, to prove that this person was a troublemaker, a swindler, a scoundrel.

Only twice during the narrative does Kerensky meet with the main character of the film. Then he disappears. The film ends at the final meeting between the hero Ugryumov and Sweeten, during which the investigator presents the head of the Provisional Government with a report with which he, to put it mildly, is not satisfied.

Another historical detective series was released a year after the premiere of “Gregory R.”. This painting is called “Gentlemen-comrades”. The film is based on real events and tells about post-revolutionary events. Sergei Ugryumov in this film played a minor role, but quite bright.

Childhood

Sergei Ugryumov was born into a military family. The future actor spent his childhood in the Khabarovsk Territory. When his father retired, the entire Ugryumov family moved to the city of Kamyshin, Volgograd Region, where Sergei graduated from school.

Sergei himself, talking about his childhood, admits: “I didn’t study well, I didn’t do my homework. Mostly I tried to remember everything during the lesson itself.” At the same time, the boy loved to impress his classmates, entertaining them and parodying teachers. The parents decided to channel their son’s energy into a “civilized direction.” At first they tried to instill in him a love of music by sending him to study the button accordion. Sergei lasted only a year... But he plunged into amateur artistic activities with great pleasure. Sergei remembers with gratitude the teacher Rimma Mikhailovna Taronenko, with whom he studied at the Romantic theater studio. She advised him to go to theater school.

Path to acting

Who could Sergei Ugryumov become if not an actor? Anyone! At school he was trained on a lathe, receiving the qualification of a second-class turner. Even before college, he worked as a loader at a gunpowder factory. In short, he was a smart guy and knew how to work with his hands. Even today he can easily make or repair anything. But all this is a hobby, and he received and receives the highest pleasure from acting. Therefore, after graduating from school, he made his choice in favor of theater school. The father was not happy with his son's decision, considering acting a frivolous profession. He then saw his son as a military man in the future. However, to give him his due, he did not insist on his own, giving Sergei the opportunity to decide his fate himself.

“Since I was an ignorant person in the theater and film industry at that moment, I knew nothing about the best higher theater educational institutions and sent letters saying that I had a desire to study with them to two addresses that they gave me here in Kamyshin : to the Shchukin School and to the Kazan Theater School,” recalls Sergei Ugryumov. The young man did not receive news from Moscow, but an answer came from Kazan. Then Sergei got ready and went to where they were “waiting” for him. He got it right the first time.

With my beloved to Moscow

Sergei Ugryumov fell in love with his classmate at the Kazan Theater School Galina at first sight. A little time passed and they got married. And after the first year, the couple decided to rush to Moscow. The fact is that, after studying for a year, Sergei realized that this was not exactly his place: there is a much higher level of training, and you can get it in the capital. Sergei Ugryumov managed to enroll in the Moscow Art Theater School-Studio for a course with Tabakov only the third time. Galina entered with him.

Subsequently, after graduating from the Studio School, Galina got a job on television, and when the couple had a son, Andrei, she began raising him.
