Roman Arkhipov is the lead singer of which group. Roman Arkhipov: biography, personal life, creativity, photo. Personal life, hobbies and interests

Childhood

The future lead singer of the Chelsea group, Roman Arkhipov, was lucky enough to be born into a difficult family. His father, Igor, or Gosha - as he is affectionately called in the music community, is far from the last person in it: in the nineties, he was known for being involved in the concert activities of pop performers - for example, Tatyana Ovsienko. Much later, he continued to do the same thing, promoting the Chelsea group. However, let's not get ahead of ourselves. None of this had yet happened on that gloomy, cold day on November 9, 1984, when Roma, the first son in the family, was born. This happy event for the Arkhipov couple took place in the city of Gorky - now Nizhny Novgorod, since it was there that the Arkhipovs lived at that time.

From infancy, Roma was surrounded by music. And in Nizhny Novgorod, and in Sochi, where the Arkhipovs moved literally shortly after the birth of their son, and even more so in Moscow, where the father moved the family the year Roma turned seven. He went to first grade in the capital. And even before ordinary school, six-year-old Roman began studying piano at a music school. And he didn’t give it up later, as many children do, unable to withstand the stress, but completed what he started to the end. This showed the stubborn character of Roman Arkhipov - this is how he lives his whole life, achieving his plans.

Education

He graduated from Moscow school No. 534, and mastered the 11th grade program on his own, passing exams as an external student.

From the age of six he studied piano at a music school.

After school, I dreamed of enrolling in law school at the FSB Academy, but did not pass due to health reasons. He entered the Faculty of International Relations of the Moscow Humanitarian University and in June 2006 received a diploma in Regional Studies.

During my student years, I lived and studied in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA for about a year.

Musical preferences

Roman has been interested in rock music since childhood. Favorite bands and performers include Deep Purple, Van Halen, Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, AC/DC, Nazareth, White Snake, Velvet Revolvers, Guns'n'Roses, Alice Cooper, Gotthard, Def Leppard, Ozzy Osbourne, Aerosmith, Maroon 5. Among the classics, he prefers Mozart, especially the late ones.

“Rock is music that contains the masculine principle, the music of the misunderstood,” says Roman. – This is a deep style, not only in Lyrics, but also in Music. This music awakens emotions in me, completely different, but only positive! Rock makes you love, rejoice, worry. It, unlike most styles, is able to touch the soul.”

Once at the Star Factory, Roma said that he was going to bring a “heavier note” to the project. And this applies not only to the “factory” format - Roman is convinced that rock music should finally take its rightful place on the domestic stage. This is what he plans to devote his creative career to.

The beginning of a creative journey

Roman learned the intricacies of show business from the age of six, having traveled all over the country in Tatyana Ovsienko’s touring group, whose director is his father. It is not surprising that, constantly moving in a creative environment, communicating with singers and musicians, Roma himself has been involved in music since childhood and sang a lot.

Losing my voice during adolescence, studying in high school and the hassle associated with preparing to enter a university, for some time pushed my dreams of the stage into the background. But at the age of 17, during a trip to America, Roman returned to music again. “I now have a lot of free time and incentive,” he says. “I then started writing my first songs and discovered that I could sing again.”

Since then, the stage has become an integral part of his life. He works as a bass guitarist at Tatiana Ovsienko’s concerts and appears in the “Summer” video for her duet with Viktor Saltykov. As a member of the student council of the Faculty of International Relations of Moscow State University, he meets the head of the creative group, Tamara Aleksandrovna Rusakova, and becomes a regular participant in university concerts.

"Star Factory"

Realizing the need to gain experience working on the professional stage, Roman takes part in the castings of the Star Factory project three times. And at the beginning of 2006, luck smiled on him along this path: he found himself among the “manufacturers” of the sixth convocation - the wards of Viktor Drobysh.

The four months spent on the project became not only a landmark, but also an unusually productive period in Roman’s creative career. At first, he did not look too confident compared to his neighbors in the Star House, many of whom, even before joining the project, had considerable stage experience and special vocal education. However, thanks to his talent and efficiency, he managed not only not to get lost against their background, but also to make a big qualitative leap both vocally and in terms of emancipation on stage, revealing a new side from concert to concert and gaining professionalism.

His “factory” piggy bank contains four solo songs - a record that not a single participant of “Factory-6” was able to break, as well as duets with Vladimir Kuzmin (“Pharm of Your Hope”) and Alexander Ivanov (“Dreams”), Sergei Trofimov ( “Wind in the Head”) and Oleg Gazmanov (“Rehearsal of Separation”), Valeria (“Black and White”) and Abraham Russo (“Through Love”), Andrei Sapunov (“Ringing”) and Alexey Belov (“Tell Me Why”) "); with the groups “Roots” (“25th floor”), “Earthlings” (“Borsalino”), “Tokyo” (“Who am I without you”), “City 312” (“Out of reach”) and Gotthard (“Heaven” ). In addition, in many numbers Roman played the guitar, participated in extras and backing vocals, and also sang as part of a group that later received the name “Chelsea”. One of the solo songs, “Me and You,” was included in the rotation of “Russian Radio” and a number of other radio stations even before the end of the project.

Whatever Roman sang at the Factory - pop or chanson - he did not try to copy the manner and style of popular performers, remaining true to his idea of introducing “heavier notes” to the project format. However, he was most able to reveal himself in rock numbers. Already his first rock duet with the Swiss group Gotthard on the song “Heaven” brought Roman recognition from viewers of Channel One and MTV. For eight weeks, the duo occupied the first line of the MusicBox channel chart, for which Roman was awarded a personalized disc. The musicians of the Gotthard group themselves were so pleased with the result that they invited Roman to repeat their joint performance at the Tochka club, and also gave him one of their songs (“Lift U Up”), which he performed on the factory stage as his second solo number.

After such success, the leader of the Gorky Park group Alexei Belov drew attention to the young rock performer, who wrote the compositions “I Won’t Forget” and “Forgive” especially for Roman. With the latter, Roman left the Star Factory just before the finale. But this departure was not a defeat! “But rock is still alive!” - he said in his farewell speech, confirming that he managed to accomplish his plan - to break the pop format of the project. Confirmation of this is the songs of the Gotthard group, with which Roman Arkhipov (and not the finalists of the project) closed the final concert at the Olimpiysky.

CHELSEA

After the end of the project, Roman, like other “manufacturers”, signed a contract with the production center of Viktor Drobysh and went on the “Star Factory - 6” tour as a member of the Chelsea group. In addition to him, the team includes Arseny Borodin, Denis Petrov and Alexey Korzin. The group quickly gains popularity, their songs occupy the top of the charts. Chelsea end the fateful year of 2006 with the title of “best group of the year”, having in their baggage the “Golden Gramophone” for the song “Someone else’s Bride”, a video for the song “The Most Favorite” and a debut album, which included their songs from the “Star Factory” era ”, including Roman’s first solo number “Me and You”.

Currently, the group is actively performing, working on creating a new album, and collaborating with popular Russian performers (in particular, Philip Kirkorov).

However, despite the group’s success, Roman still dreams of a solo career and plans to create his own rock project.

Interests

He loves to travel. He went abroad for the first time in 1995 in the United Arab Emirates. This was followed by tours to Crete (Greece), Israel (Tel Aviv, Jerusalem), Italy (Venice, Verona), Egypt, Cyprus (Aionapa), Vietnam. For about a year, Roma lived in the USA (Las Vegas), where he studied and worked part-time in a Russian restaurant. From other countries and cities, she dreams of visiting Paris and South Africa. But to the question “Where would you like to live?” firmly answers: “It’s good to relax abroad, go there for a short period of time, but I want to live in Moscow. Well, basically, I live here.”

Studying English and Spanish.

In addition to keyboards, he plays bass guitar. According to eyewitnesses, he mastered the drum kit in one night, keeping the holiday village awake until the morning.

Favorite animal is scorpion.

He prefers tennis as a sport. If he has free time, he goes to the gym. Dreams of learning to snowboard or ski.

Favorite colors are black, white and purple.

He prefers expensive and beautiful branded clothing, although he knows how to turn a jacket purchased at the market into a work of hand-made art by sewing scorpions on it. He likes to combine sports and classic clothes with extravagant elements in a rocker style: a long black raincoat, leather pants, metal bracelets and rings on his hands, massive buckles, inscriptions in the rock and roll spirit. But sometimes you just don’t recognize him! Once in his 2nd year, Roma, dressed in blue trousers, a women's jacket and with a cigar in his hands, stood in the company of two classmates in front of the Prague Embassy, holding a blue bag of one of them in his hands. Men walked past them with an exclamation: “Oooh, girls!”, to which Roma indignantly replied: “What girls!?”

From birth, Roman is blond with curly hair and categorically refuses to cut it! Although, there were times when teenager Roma shaved his head.

Loves to work in Photoshop. For some time, this hobby even turned into work.

Among his favorite literary authors he names Paulo Coelho and E.-M. Remark.

Roman is a very sociable person and loves to communicate with a variety of people. Maintains friendly relations with Tatyana Ovsienko and Olga Kormukhina, Alexey Belov and Alexander Erokhin (drummer of “Lube”), musicians of the groups Gotthard and Nazareth, as well as with many other colleagues “in the shop”.

He does not like to discuss his personal life. All we know for sure is that he is not married. Whenever possible, he takes part in raising his younger brother Nikita, the German shepherd Alice, an evil cat and two squirrels.

First steps in the musical field

In Moscow, Roma’s father became closely involved in organizing concerts of the then very popular Tatyana Ovsienko. Tatyana - and not only her - often visited the Arkhipovs' house, music was constantly playing, someone was singing... Roman was slowly boiling in this cauldron, and it is not at all surprising that he decided to take up music. Moreover, the boy turned out to have a good voice.

In those days, Roman Arkhipov did not take his first steps on the musical Olympus himself - with the help of his father. Or rather, with the help of Tatyana Ovsienko, he went on tour with the artist and her team. And then adolescence came, and the boy’s voice broke.

Student life and return to music

When the breakdown of his voice occurred, Roman, to hide it, gave up music. By this time, he knew how to play not only the piano - he had also mastered the bass guitar, because this instrument was more suitable for the rocker that Roman saw himself as. Since childhood, he fell in love with rock, and is faithful to it to this day - and it is not surprising that it was in this genre that he dreamed of developing. However, he gave up everything and switched to studies. The time for finishing school was approaching. Roma completed his senior year as an external student and went to study in the United States for a year. It was there that he realized: his voice had returned. And along with my voice, the desire to sing returned, and the ability to slowly compose songs myself appeared. Roman Arkhipov (pictured) came to Moscow with the firm intention of devoting his life to music.

However, the young man went to receive his education at Moscow State University at the Faculty of International Relations (he graduated in the summer of 2006). In parallel with his studies, Roma studied music, realizing that he needed some kind of opportunity to try his hand at the big stage. And such an opportunity presented itself: Roman passed the casting for the sixth season of the Star Factory project.

Music

Vocalists have repeatedly refuted the myth of using a soundtrack on the project: the Chelsea group demonstrated “live” instruments and vocals every time at concerts. At a concert organized by the Muz-TV channel in the spring, the Chelsea group was the only one that insisted on singing “live.”

The second hit of the Chelsea band was the composition “The Most Favorite”. The song was performed at Borodin’s last nomination. Soon the children were awarded the “Golden Gramophone” for it.

After the finale of the 6th season of the project, the lead singers of the Chelsea group went on tour around the country and cities of the post-Soviet space. At the concerts the guys presented the entire repertoire. Denis Petrov and Arseny Borodin entertained the guests with performance numbers, enlivening the audience between vocal numbers.

Fans who bought tickets to the performances of the Chelsea group heard their favorite hits “For You”, “Last Call”, “Become Mine”, “In Half”.

All members of the group sing, write lyrics for new compositions, and arrange them. The project featured songs by Alexey Korzin and Denis Petrov. Each of the guys plays some kind of instrument, and Corzine is a multi-instrumentalist. The guys joke that Alexey extracts musical sounds from all the surrounding objects that his hands reach.

At the end of 2006, the Chelsea group presented their debut album of the same name, presented 3 remixes and covered the old hit “I won’t come to you” by the mega-popular band “Veselye Rebyaty” in the 1990s. The presentation of the collection took place in the capital's club "Jelsomino" on the first day of December.

After the presentation, the musicians recorded a new composition with music by Drobysh and lyrics by Lena Stuf called “Love is always right.” He agreed to perform the song with the Chelsea group. In the spring of 2007, the hit was included in rotation, and in the summer the vocalists delighted fans with the new composition “Wings”.

Chelsea's repertoire includes dozens of cover versions of well-known hits. The guys sang musical movie hits from different years, which all age categories of music lovers happily sang along with.

At the end of the summer of 2007, the group presented the first video for the hit “The Most Favorite,” which was directed by Vitaly Mukhametzyanov. According to the video director from Ufa, the guys embodied the four elements: fire, water, earth and air. In October 2007, the video clip entered rotation. The video for the composition together with Kirkorov was shot by Oleg Gusev, using the Shuvalov Palace in St. Petersburg. Also in 2007, video clips for the songs “I won’t come to you” and “Wings” appeared.

In 2008, the Chelsea group delighted fans with new compositions “Fly”, “Her Eyes Are Missing” and “Happiness in Every Home”. For the last two songs, lyrics and music were written by Roman Arkhipov. He made a video for the hit “Her Eyes Are Missing.” Among the most striking songs of 2009 are “Point of Return” and “In Dreams and in Reality.” The title of the first hit became the cover of the second album.

In 2011, the charismatic trio was invited to the Channel One project, called “Star Factory. Return". The producers gathered contestants from all seasons, where vocalists from different years competed to reach the finals. In May, the Chelsea group took second place. She was in the lead and received bronze.

In the same year, the Chelsea group presented the songs “I Love” and “We Must”. 2012 was not without surprises. Using words and music, the guys sang the song “My First Day,” and Viktor Drobysh wrote the music for the second hit, called “SOS.”

"Factory on First"

The appearance of Roman Arkhipov on such a show was surprising because Roma was a little “off-format”. The project involved the performance of pop music, Roma gravitated toward rock and openly stated that he would reshape the format of this television show. However, he partially succeeded in the latter: he sang in duets with artists of a more “heavy” orientation, such as Olga Kormukhina, Gorky Park, Nikolai Noskov, as well as foreign groups Scorpions and Gotthard.

Roman Arkhipov did not reach the final - he dropped out of the project before him, the very last. However, he found his audience, was remembered by the audience, and also made three good friends on the project, with whom he became part of the new boy band Chelsea.

Personal life

Very little is known about her. But the fair half of humanity can consider Roman solely as a talented athlete, because the man has been happily married for a long time.

The family has two daughters, the youngest of whom, Maya, is not yet one year old. Roman admitted that the shoulder injury was not a very pleasant event, because the schedule of fights had shifted, and the planned fights remained unfulfilled. However, there is also a positive aspect: the athlete plans to spend his forced vacation with his family and help his wife with their baby daughter.

In the Chelsea group

The producer of the new group was Viktor Drobysh, and the concert director was Roman’s father Igor. Arkhipov Jr. stayed with the team for five years. During this time, the guys released two albums, shot several videos, toured half the country with concerts, became “Best Group” and received the “Golden Gramophone” award.

View gallery

Roman gained experience and decided to try himself as a separate creative unit. In June 2011, after the group's fifth anniversary, Roman Arkhipov left Chelsea. Nevertheless, he still maintains friendly relations with the guys and, as he admitted in a recent interview, dreams of “shaking the old days” some summer and traveling with Chelsea for concerts. Perhaps someday this will happen.

Solo career. States

Roman Arkhipov decided to promote his songs in the West. And so he left for Los Angeles. This is how he lives to this day - in two houses, sometimes visiting Moscow, sometimes returning to the States. In America, he collaborates with famous producers and musicians who have worked with world-famous artists. Roman also records his songs in English.

Initially, Arkhipov tried to introduce himself to Western listeners under the pseudonym Troy Harley - he decided that it sounded more harmonious to foreign ears. However, he subsequently abandoned this idea and last year created the ROMAN project

"Success"

Last fall, Roma returned to Russia to take part in the music show “Success”, which started on the STS TV channel. In this project, Roman took an honorable second place. In his own words, he was offered to participate in the project, and this offer came as a complete surprise to the musician.

In an interview, Roman admitted that at first it was not easy for him to once again put himself under the 24-hour sights of television cameras, in addition, he was embarrassed by some inequality: compared to many other participants in the show, Roma has quite a lot of experience performing. However, in the end, ambition took over.

Roman's family and personal life

Despite the fact that Roma is already a “grown up boy,” he is not yet married. His family is his father Igor, mother Svetlana, younger brother Nikita and dog Bradley, with whom Roma does not part even in America.

As for Arkhipov’s personal life, there is not much information. The musician tries to hide his girlfriends - and Roman is quite loving. Five years ago, a rather loud scandal erupted involving the names of Roman Arkhipov and Ekaterina Klimova, a famous actress, wife (at that time) of actor Igor Petrenko. The couple were spotted kissing and hugging at a party in the States. This was followed by a divorce between the actors, although Arkhipov claimed that the girl simply looked like Catherine.

Family secret of “manufacturer” Roman Arkhipov revealed

Show business » Russian show business

The public's favorite from the last Star Factory, Roman Arkhipov, recently became the hero of a Mexican TV series. True, passions flared up not on the screen, but in real life. Quite unexpectedly, it turned out that the singer, in addition to his two-year-old brother Nikita, also has a sister, whose existence Roman did not suspect.

0 shared

Roman and Nicole

In order not to confuse the reader, I will tell you in order. Arkhipov was, perhaps, the only “manufacturer” around whom an incredible number of rumors circulated. They said, for example, that he is the son of Viktor Drobysh himself. In fact, Roman is the son of Tatyana Ovsienko’s director, Igor Arkhipov. To Roman’s credit, it should be noted that no one ever protected him.

He is a self-sufficient and very interesting person. Having lived, studied and worked in America for three years, Arkhipov Jr. acquired serious connections in the local show business. Suffice it to say that his friends include Aerosmith, the popular group Gotthard, Nazareth lead singer Dan McCafferty and other celebrities. It was thanks to Roman that Ovsienko filmed her video for “Nazareth,” but this is so, by the way.

It’s no wonder that girls began to go crazy for the charming and talented Arkhipov as soon as they saw him at the Factory. Ironically, in faraway San Francisco, a girl named Nicole had her eye on him.

Arkhipov with Dan McCafferty

... When Nicole told her mother that she wanted to go to Russia and definitely look at her idol, the woman was alarmed and decided to tell the girl the truth.

As it turned out, many years ago this lady, now a US citizen, had an affair with Igor Arkhipov. Igor at that time was already married (well, who isn’t?) and was even expecting the appearance of his first child, that is, our Roman. The couple had to break up. Igor’s beloved left for America, where after some time Nicole was born. The girl is only eight months younger than Roman.

Igor Arkhipov, of course, knew about the existence of an illegitimate daughter and maintained contact with America, but he did not traumatize his family in Russia with this information. As they say, what happened was.

Nicole, of course, was very upset when she learned that she had fallen in love with her stepbrother, but she did not give up her intention to find Roman. Their touching meeting took place recently in Sochi, where the “Star Factory” came on a reporting tour.

At first, Roman, naturally, did not believe the girl’s words, mistaking her for a fan. They sat away from prying eyes, in a closed cafe. Being a reasonable person, Roman did not wonder whether the new acquaintance was lying or not, and simply dialed his father’s number. Igor confirmed that Nicole was right and told his son a love story with Nicole’s mother.

To his father’s surprise, Roman did not become nervous, but, on the contrary, reacted with understanding and even regret to the situation of days gone by. Brother and sister immediately found many topics to talk about.

Already saying goodbye, the young people promised to call each other and come to visit each other. But how Igor Arkhipov’s wife reacted to this suddenly revealed secret, history is silent...

Roman Arkhipov: I often take risks and have lost a lot because of it

Member of the Grammy Academy, participant in the “Success” show Roman Arkhipov spoke about creative plans - immediate and strategic.

— Roma, you’ve been in the industry since childhood: music videos, tours, filming. If you weren't surrounded by such an environment, would you have started making music? Can you say that your environment shaped you?

— Of course, my environment shaped me. My dad took me to concerts from the age of four. I just fell in love with this life. If I had not seen this, I most likely would not have known that this was possible.

— Show business looks tempting from the outside, but knowing it since childhood, have you thought about some kind of safety net, another profession?

— Despite all my creative component, I am a pragmatic person. Since childhood, I understood that show business is a huge risk, with huge investments, and my family didn’t have enough money to take a thoughtless risk. I realized that in any case I should have some other more mundane profession, so I entered the Moscow Humanitarian University to become a diplomat. True, I wanted to become a diplomat for a reason, but to save money and study music. I don't regret it one bit. An excellent education and a fun student experience.

— Regarding another type of activity. According to Kinopoisk, you have six films for which you wrote music. Is writing songs for yourself and for a movie different?

— When you write for yourself, you think about how to “penetrate” your listener, how to catch trends. One way or another, you try to write a hit.

In terms of writing music for films, the situation is easier. You try to get into the mood of one person - the producer of the tape, who, as a rule, simply sets the tone for you - you need a sad or cheerful melody. Now, before starting work, they send me pictures so that I can visualize the melody and let it pass through me. It’s more interesting to write that way.

— Do you have a certain formula for a hit that drives you?

“I can’t say that I have already found it, but I definitely know the person who developed such a formula: Max Martin. True, I must admit, I have never resorted to it when writing. I write as I feel. I didn't finish music school. Music is in me at the level of instinct, I feel it. And I think that music education in Russia is more about the classics. It is perfect for those who want to develop themselves in an academic musical direction. But for those who are more predisposed to modern pop art, our education, alas, can discourage them. That’s why I dropped out of music school, went free and through trial and error came up with my own sound. If I can’t play something because of gaps in musical literacy, for example, my musicians will always help me: guitarist, arranger.

— How can you describe your sound? What genre do you write in?

- It can’t be called rock, it can’t be called pop, it’s not rap. This is something in between, an alternative.

I constantly challenge myself. And now my task is to bring alternative music in Russia to a new level. I want to create a company where music and quality will be inseparable concepts. Moreover, it seems to me that in the era of the Internet, musicians should have no obstacles at all to write well and of high quality. You can always find examples of cool music from all over the world and, based on this, make your own cool product.

— Why do you think music in Russia does not reach Western levels?

- Well, at least because the development of music began 50 years earlier. Take, for example, the same rhythm and blues of the 30s and 40s, which quickly flowed into some new trend. In our country, everything began to move only in the 60s and at a rather slow pace. In Western Europe there is a different approach to music and musicians, more respectful or something. No one is afraid to push the limits, they take risks. While our musicians try to adjust their music to the one that has reached the top of the charts, which leads to a vicious circle without development. But you need to understand that in America musicians can afford to play for the soul, without focusing on trends.

— The word “rock” often slips into our conversation. Don’t you think that in Russia this trend has already become obsolete, with rap at the peak of popularity? Are you going to take this into account when writing new tracks? Should we expect your duet with some rapper?

— Of course, pure rock has already revealed itself: all the passages have been played, all the high notes have been sung. Rock somehow lives in my voice. I'm a raucous and loud guy. As for collaborations, I’m all for new ideas. I've always liked the rhythm of hip-hop. If an offer comes up for an interesting project with some rap artist, I will gladly accept it.

— Is participation in the show “Success” an attempt to repeat the success of “Star Factory”?

- It happened by accident. I didn't plan to participate. They unexpectedly called me and offered to participate in the project. Although not long before this I had watched my friend Arseny Borodin’s participation in “The Voice” and thought: “It’s probably not easy to relive all this again. At a minimum, the ambitions are different. And put yourself in such a framework.” I was uncomfortable at first, because I was worried that it would be, roughly speaking, an unequal battle. After all, I am already an experienced musician. But I was convinced that the contestants are great professionals, and some are also known in media circles. I thought it was interesting and agreed. I admit, it was hard there, but I don’t regret it. I had to do a lot of work with the subconscious. And in order to move on and grow, you need to face what is alien to you. Back at the Factory, I was taught various techniques with the subconscious. For example, in order to open up on stage and not be inhibited, you need to imagine yourself in a situation where you will probably smile. I imagined myself dancing in front of the jury in a ballet tutu and tarpaulin boots. You smile, you feel shy, but your brain immediately starts working differently. These tips were very useful to me at “Success”. I allowed myself to be judged, despite all the enormous musical experience I had. Despite everything, “Success” gave me a new impetus in Russian showbiz.

— Roma Arkhipov in “Factory” and Roma Arkhipov in “Success”—are these two different characters?

- Undoubtedly! At the Factory I was still a small, inexperienced teenager. By the way, the rules were stricter there. “Success” is much more loyal. I, already experienced in such projects, told the participants that yes, how, I helped, I was such a seasoned father of reality.

Although it’s still psychologically difficult. You don’t sleep much, you’re constantly filming. Stress caught us here too. Especially when you get involved, you begin to understand that you have to fight with already friends, analyze that for someone this project is probably more important, but this person leaves - it’s unfair.

— What is your idea of Russian show business? Do you agree with the idea that show business is a ditch where there is little money, ruled by envy, greed and cannibalism of all mankind?

— Honestly, this is the scourge of any profession. It’s just that show business stars have it all in plain sight, because it’s their job to show their dirty laundry to the whole country. I was brought up according to different concepts and rules and, I think, that’s why I’m a little outside of show business, I’ve always stood somewhat apart. I set goals on the way to my goal more difficult and longer than my colleagues. Once Alexey Belov (Gorky Park group) uttered a phrase that stuck with me for a long time: “Guys, you don’t understand that you are not competitors! You are partners! Musicians cannot be competitors, they do one thing! Even musicians of the same genre.”

— You shot three videos for Olga Buzova. What goals did you pursue?

- If you ask whether I did it for money, then I’ll be honest: I, of course, also pursued commercial goals. I don’t listen to this kind of music, but I sincerely do not share the hatred that has been created around Olya. She, like no one else, understands her genre direction perfectly, she is an excellent womanless woman and a great workaholic. In my opinion, its level is in no way inferior to the entire Russian show business.

— Who can you single out on the Russian stage?

— I have great respect for the work of Grigory Leps. It is unique in its kind. Incredible range.

— Nowadays music is often written according to the assembly line principle, that is, a team creates a melody. Have you ever wanted to create such a team?

— I have such a team and always have. Again, I have always written music from the heart, I always want my lyrics to have a complete thought, so that it is a story that the listener can pass through. I don't think anyone can handle my texts better than me. Writing in Russian is not easy, but fortunately now I have a co-author, Alice. A very educated girl, she helps me put everything in the right shape. She and I have an understanding, this is important.

— If you were offered some kind of retro tour”, where they would gather all the “manufacturers” and send them on a tour of the cities of Russia, would you agree?

— By the way, I just recently suggested that the guys from Chelsea shake off the old days and celebrate the group’s milestone anniversary - 10 years. But everything remained at the level of talk. I would actually travel with Chelsea some summer, happily. And it seems to me that such a time will come.

—Who is your unquestioned authority?

- God. I am a believer. One way or another, I live with this core of Christian principles. I am not a fanatical believer, but I am religiously educated. And for me, religion is what helps us not to fall into the same ditch that was mentioned above. Since childhood, faith has helped me stay afloat, move on, and survive in difficult moments.

—Are you a member of the Grammy Academy?

- Yes. We are used to perceiving this award as a magnificent ceremony, but everything is much deeper. In general, the Grammy is a kind of committee, which includes a large number of musicians, figures from American show business, composers, producers, and so on. And this membership gives a lot of privileges to those who have it - such as access to program directors, access to the music academy, and, in principle, a pleasant status. You can't get there just like that, just by recommendation. I was recommended by producer Richie Sambora, guitarist for Bon Jovi.

— What qualities should your friend have?

— I am a loner in life. I don't have many friends. But everyone I can call my friend is real. Therefore, the main quality is sincerity. I hate it when a person starts to pretend to be something. I'm only friends with people I see. It is important for me to understand a person; I don’t like to solve things. It is not necessary that he be an exclusively positive person, the main thing is that he be who he is.

— What qualities should your other half have?

— Femininity, but the main thing is understanding. Accepting my lifestyle. As I said, I tried to sacrifice my work in order to devote more time to my loved one, but it was in vain. Work, no matter how you look at it, still comes first for me. It so happens that I have nothing else - a dog and a job. I don't know how to report, I hate control. I want trust, because if I love, then I love completely and to the end. It is important for me to understand that we are like-minded people. As soon as they start trying to break me, change me, and so on, I grow cold.

— Does Roman Arkhipov have a dark side?

- The person whom the public sees - always smiling and a cheerful joker - is one character. You need to understand that I am an artist and this is my job, I cannot walk around gloomy. My two main demons are rigidity and uncompromisingness. They most often manifest themselves in relationships.

Relationships are an exchange of the very energy that helps two people move on. It is important for a woman to feel weak, despite today's world, where many men are much weaker than their ladies. I am still a supporter of the classical model of relationships. If a man is kind, it does not mean at all that he is weak and cannot show his will. I'm kind, but strong. I cannot be manipulated. All my negative emotions come out through music.

- What is your maximum plan?

- “Grammy”. I know I can get it. This, of course, will not happen in six months or a year, but nevertheless, closer to my 40s, it will happen. Yes, I have very big ambitions. I often take risks, and often it doesn't work out for me. It happened that I lost a lot in my personal life because of this. But I tried, I really tried to combine the life of a person who lives “in a skid” and is trying to “take a turn”, and the life of a family man, but so far I have not succeeded. Perhaps if I were one of those musicians who are used to walking on a level path, then I would succeed, but I have more complex goals. And I can’t say that everything always works out for me, but what I dream about comes true.
