The artistic director of the theater, Rozovsky Mark Grigorievich, appreciated the young actor and instructed him to play the main roles in performances. However, after working in the theater for only two months, Makarsky decided to make radical changes in his life. He left the theater and went to serve in the army. There Anton Makarsky served for some time in a convoy company. The military leadership drew attention to the talented young man, and Makarsky was sent to serve in the ensemble of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs. In the ensemble, Anton Makarsky acted as a singer, as well as a host and organizer of concerts.

When high school was already behind him, Anton was faced with the question of choosing a profession. But the young man did not follow in the footsteps of his ancestors, and unexpectedly for his relatives he entered the Institute of Physical Education and Sports. However, genetics still took its toll: after studying at this university for a while, Makarsky took his documents and went to enroll in Moscow. He applied to three theater universities at once, and it turned out that he was successful in all of them at once! Anton had to make a choice, and he fell on the Shchukin School.
